I guess they changed people. It’s use to be a good place to stay and maintenance use to be on point. They use to have two maintenance men that use to fix things literally the next day. Now they have four maintenance men they can’t fix anything. It take them almost a whole month to come out, and fix something, and they still don’t fix it. I guess they like forget it. Yes I took my five stars back.

Ive been living here for exactly one week and I already regret signing the lease. Ive had nothing but problems since I moved in. First of all, I was supposed to be in a different apartment but they changed it at the last minute on me and put me in the one Im in now. Second, when I walked through the apartment, there were so many roaches in the kitchen and when I addressed this with the person walking through, they claimed that the pest people come every Friday. How is it that pest control comes weekly and there are roaches everywhere?! WHY are there roaches everywhere before a new tenant moves in? That should have been the first thing they dealt with but obviously they didnt walk through the apartment properly before they told me it was ready. Secondly, the AC was broken for 3 days. The kitchen sink was leaking, and the bathroom water in the shower was not going down. This building is old and needs to be completely gutted and remodeled. I will say that the maintenance people fixed the AC and the leak. However, the roaches continue to be a problem. When I brought this up to the manager she kept telling me it would be resolved. But Friday came around and the pest control people did not come. The roaches are everywhere and it is unsanitary. I continue to try to reach the manager and every day Im met with an excuse of her being in a meeting or not being there at all. Im extremely disappointed. Its absolute poor management. Do not move here. Save yourself the trouble. The only reason this gets 2 stars is because the neighborhood is quiet and my neighbor is nice.

I have been living here for a little over 5 months… when I first moved in the apartment was filthy! The blinds… refrigerator… floors… etc was filthy!!!!!! I have asked several times that my blinds be replaced, no new blinds. Now it’s been raining, my window panel is soaked which could cause mold after quite some time. I contacted maintenance who referred me over to the manager Misty. I’ve emailed and called still no response. Unacceptable! So if you’re thinking about moving here… DON’T!

Staff is A1. Office Staff is very helpful and communicative with property updates. Maintenance staff takes care of any issues within one day, usually the same day. Submitted a online repair ticket, a/c had went out early Friday afternoon, maintenance was there within a couple of hours. We had cool air within an hour. Great property and staff!

Ive been living in this community almost 3 years now. Staffs are friendly and units are very clean and nice. Im currently living in renovated unit and its even better. Whenever I have had any issue, they fixed it very quick. People in the complex are very nice and I would definitely recommend this complex to people I know of.

Great place to live. Quiet and near everything. The maintenance is great! Friendly and quick. Very easy to pay your rent, valet trash is convenient. Price is very decent. Haven’t had any problems since I have lived here (July 2020).

Ive been living her for two months and it has been AMAZING. My biggest concern were pest because I have been in apartments that have awful pest control. I have had zero problems with pest, noise or any other issue you can think of with living in an apartment. The maintenance staff and office staff are also super helpful and friendly.

I have lived here for 4 months.PROS: We’ve had a few different maintenance issues, but Chace Lake is always pretty quick to respond. Plus Jeff and Kenny (maintenance men) are awesome- they make a great team & get the job done! Also I love our renovated unit, the dog park, pool, fitness center, plus the location of the complex in Hoover.CONS: The dumpster at the front of the complex has been broken for several weeks, and the temporary dumpster with everyone’s trash is not a cute view out our window. Also our neighbors smoke, and that’s not cool with me.

These are apartments are very nice but heads up the manager out there is very rude and dismissive. I was really hoping to be able to move out there but the staff was not inviting at all. Not only was the property associate unprofessional, the manager seemed very dismissive when I spoke with her. I attempted to tour the property twice and both times they told me they didn’t have a record of my appointment after I spoke with them to set it up! I went ahead and applied anyway and the manager tells me my application was denied but refused to give a reason. When I received the denial letter it says “judgement of the property”. Excuse me? It was clear the manager did not want me to live out there and I’m not sure why. It’s almost like she was discriminating against me before she even gave me a chance. She needs to be replaced otherwise I would have given more stars.

Considering I moved in right before all colleges in the area went back into session, I found this gem after searching about 20 other properties. The price was not bad and it was still in a great distance of my job, and so many other amenities the surrounding community had to offer. The property management and staff was super helpful, and did not overwhelm me with phone calls or emails to influence my decision to go with their property. I have been here for over 2 years and have had the most amazing experience here. Yes, I had some amazing neighbors, and some very private neighbors, but everyone looked out for each other. The staff and maintenance teams were awesome, and super responsive to maintenance needs and other leasing questions. I had a leaking shower head at one point, and it was fixed within a day. My AC unit needed some attention, and it was resolved in the same day. Pest control is a great addition... many would complain, but never report it. You have to report it for them to handle it. I had no communication issues and resolution was what this property team would work to achieve... successfully. Thanks guys, for making my stay here one of my best experiences with a rental property.

I’ve been living here at Chace Lake for a little over 3 yrs and love every single thing about it. From nice office workers to having an awesome maintenance team that’s always prompt with fixing any issues to being in walking or driving distance to many stores and lastly being in a great school system. Just the other day I placed a work order late in the day, but the issue was fixed before the end of the day before I got home. Great place to live!!

I moved in one month ago and so far everything has been great! I called the rent office to ask when the maintenance people will be out to fix something in my apartment and they came out to fix it the next day! Maintenance and rent office staff are very friendly. When I first moved in the cabinets and everything was very clean! So far I’m happy I made chace lake my home and If everything continues to go smoothly I will be renewing my lease when it’s time to!

I have been living at Chace Lake for almost a year. When I moved to Hoover I was on a tight timeline to move in. The management and staff went above and beyond to have my apartment ready by my move in date.The many amenities makes this feel like a vacation condo. From the pool, gym, grilling area and even valet trash service.Maintenance is prompt, friendly and the management is always responsive. If you are looking for a new place I would check them out.

The maintenance department at Chace Lake Villas are absolutely fantastic. They are very prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable. You can tell they actually care.

Due to Corona we weren’t able to tour the apartment before signing our lease. We were told we were getting a second level apartment with hardwood throughout, but did not happen. We got all carpet on the 3rd floor. That complicates things with a toddler. I think they confused apartments or something. It was moving day, so we didn’t make a fuss. Other than that we love the apartment, community, and location The office staff is always friendly and helpful when we need them. Very clean and well kept, quite and friendly. We’ve had to have a few maintenance calls already and they have always been fixed the same day. No fuss or anything! I suggest making sure you get a walk through to confirm what you’re getting before signing a lease. Other than that, I 100% recommend renting from Chace Lake Villas.Edit- the original review was written 2 months after moving in, and was request by the management. After living here for 12 months, I do not recommend Chace Lake. They’re trash compactor is always broken, they have a dumpster in front of our building that is FOREVER full and absolutely reeking. Our payments are always on autopay and we’ve NEVER missed a single payment, we extended our lease by a month and autopay didn’t automatically update so we were 7 days late. Instead of calling us to notify we had an issue, they leave a threatening letter on our door saying we have 7 days to pay or they’ll evict us. We then try to pay online the day of and then have to go to the office for a 3rd time to find out it has to be money order or cashiers check when it’s late. They’re now under new management which has done ONE thing since the transfer and that’s change our trash valet company. We have so many more issues that need to be addressed other than who takes our trash to the BROKEN trash compactor replacing, overflowing, dumpster. GET IT TOGETHER.The only good thing about Chace Lake is maintenance. Everything else is a headache and not worth it.

Their maintenance team is always quick and proficient! Any request you have, they do their best to get the job done!

Ive been a resident here for over 2 years. The community is really quiet, my neighbors are friendly, all of my amenities work and the current staff is decent.I work from home during the summer months, so I wish the pool was open longer and the fitness center was better equipped.The old manager, Benjamin, was extremely helpful. He was an excellent communicator, manager and he really took the time out to get to know the tenants. Every so often, he and his team would randomly pass breakfast out in the mornings!

Great location and great staff! I actually really love living here. For a one bedroom, I have everything I need and its perfect for just myself. For a one bedroom, I still get a washer/dryer hook-ups and a dishwasher! Which most places at this price do not have. Also, maintenance is awesome. They always address the issue within 24 hours, sometimes same day. But I rarely have maintenance issues. This is not a fake review; I am a rent-paying resident. I love it here and plan on staying for as long as I can. Only downside is that rent is going up because of the renovations taking place, which is understandable, but I am living in a non-renovated unit.

Its been almost a month since I moved here. My house has been decorated. I like the floor very much, not the carpet. Its very convenient for me to clean. When I moved in, there were some problems. For example, there is a kitchen floor that doesnt stick together to make it curl. The sockets of the two toilets do not work properly. The water and leaks in the room made me wonder if it was really decorated. When I told the office staff about the repairs, they quickly solved the problem, but there was no leaks because it used to be an electric light. Now the repairman turns off the light and no one comes to reinstall it, but its not a big problem for me. It can be solved slowly. I really live here. Staff members and neighbours are friendly and will greet warmly, but the sound insulation effect is not good enough. I live on the first floor and often hear the unknown Dong Dong Dong voice upstairs, but this is a problem with many rental houses. The reason for living here is the good location. Whether you go to the supermarket to buy something or do something, its very convenient. My child likes swimming very much. But swimming pools are not always open. The gym is good. You can go in and out at any time. Generally speaking, this is a place worth living in.

To start off this was my second time living at Chace Lake. To begin it seemed as if every week there was a water shut off, sometimes with warning other times you were left just wondering why you didnt receive a warning. One occasion I witnessed lawn care blatantly blowing rocks and other trash under, on and around my car. I told management but apparently that did nothing. My car was broken into while on the premises and was pretty much told To make sure my doors were locked. Also my car was scratched and back into many times so beware of neighbors. Also As far as management Suzie was the only person that i didnt have a terrible experience with. Lisa Bearden who is the Community Manger, and Hunter Wright who was many times at the desk when going into the office either didnt pay attention to detail or just forgot things very easily. Upon moving out I signed the necessary documents but there seems to be a communication issue within the office. When one person told me one thing, someone else said something completely different. I emailed Hunter and Lisa many times upon my move out date to make sure that everything was correct and that there wasnt a discrepancy in dates (which it was). Not even three days after my move out date I received a bill saying I stayed two extra days. The one star is sufficient due to the amount of headaches i received in the year living here. When moving in the apartment was not move in. You definitely don’t get your monies worth. Also whenever someone leaves a honest review they want to turn it around on the tenant. What does cleaning fees and damages have to do with the unorganized staff and cheaply put together apartment?

I lived here just shy three years and had a wonderful experience. The grounds, amenities, and most of all, the neighbors were wonderful. Benjamin, Michael, and the rest of the staff are amazing and I consider them friends after getting to know them . The majority of the tenants consist of professionals so it is extremely quiet the majority of the time. I had to submit two service requests during my stay and both were resolved within 24 hours. If you are looking for a safe, quiet, centrally located place to stay at a reasonable price, I would strongly recommend Chace Lake Villas.

Worst place to live! If I could give you all a ZERO, I would 🙄 I seriously would think twice about moving here to Chace Lake Villas. None of the amenities listed work properly such as the fitness center, pool, and laundry room. The fitness center equipment is a complete joke! Nothing barely works. The pool is only open maybe 6 weeks out of the summer. And now the laundry room is out of order due to renovation. The apartment manager, Lisa sent an email out stating that the tentative should rent washers and dryers at very low cost of $35-40 monthly. How inconsiderate! We’re always having plumbing issues. Last time, we were without water for an entire day. Residents had to warm up bottled water to take baths/wash offs. And if the water isn’t shut off 24hrs, it’s shut off at least 3 times out of the month due to plumbing issues.If you want the Hoover experience move in to an apartment complex that’s actually in Hoover because Chace Lake Villas is considered Birmingham, AL.

The apartment itself was not bad, comfortable roomy and overall not bad quality, the issue is with the office and the shady practices of the apartment in general. Youre better off elsewhere.

2 stars is very generous but considering I had a roof over my head, I am grateful. “Management” (specifically Lisa) has been challenging to work with due to the manner she speaks to people. Which is very unprofessional and most remarks unnecessary. There was always a disconnect in communication whether it be about the trash, water shut-off or renovations they have planned. During my lease, I encountered raccoons on the roof that scratched all through the night, excessive amounts of stink bugs stuck in the windows (most escaped), my car having stuff stolen out of it, blood all over my car due to some event with a neighbor & someone else, my apartment smelled of smoke because the downstairs neighbor sat in the house & smoked all day, times I couldn’t use the water because the water was off! or use the sink because the sink was backed up in which they had to fix 3+ times. If you decide to live here, I pray the Lord grant you patience and be sure to keep all your receipts & documents!

Absolutely awful experience living here. Management is almost never available. Maintenance rarely comes out to fix things and when they do the job is always done poorly. They recently came into my apartment without notice to change the toilets and threw a cabinet full of things into the sink since no one was home. The trash pickup is very inconsistent. They have double charged for a garage 3 months in a row now. Most of the apartments see pests such as roaches and scorpions consistently. The pool is closed more often than its open and the gym is a huge disappointment. It seems they make promises that they do not intend on upholding.

I love it here. Maintenance has been great despite what others have said. Really enjoying my time here!

This place is okay to rent from but it seems every week there is a water shut off. You might get a warning or you might not. Also if you stay in the non renovated apartment things break alot and we always have to get the maintenance man out. Also they close the pool like every other day for some other reason. Its been closed so much this year that I have been swimming at the YMCA which i wish I could swim in my apartment pool. The club house renovation took longer than expected. I feel the staff doesnt like me and the nice ones are the maintenance men. Parking here can be crazy. I park by the pool since I cant get a park by my apartment. I wont rent here again.

Really nice apartment but customer service here is a JOKE. I have to call the office 10-12 times back to back to back in order to get someone to pick up the phone, I lived in my apartment for three. weeks. before they prepared a lease for me to sign (I took over a friends), not to mention that they seem to only show up to work when they feel like it. I loved my apartment but am sooooooo grateful to be getting the heck outta there!!!

Worst management team ever. They took our trash can saying they the new valet trash company would give us a new trash can. It’s almost 2 weeks now and we don’t have trash cans yet. They said that the deal with new valet trash company is not completed.they should have at lest given the old trash cans.People have been placing their trash bag out and it has stains in the breezeways because of it. Don’t get started about the smell. They keep shutting the water without proper notice.

We pay so much money to live here yet they closed the gym for MONTHS for renovations still not open. They opened the pool for a few days and closed it bc a few tiles fell off. They said they don’t know when it’ll be back open. Our air conditioner stopped working and it was 85 degrees in our apartment for 3 weeks until they finally fixed it. We pay all this money to live here with all the amenities that make our rent More expensive and we don’t get to use them. I CANT REPLY TO THE REPLY FROM THE MGMT BUT NO WE DID NOT GET A WINDOW AC UNIT WE HAD TO GO BUY A FAN AND LIVE IN HEAT FOR 3 WEEKS.

Fitness center equipment barely works, Pool never open, dont advertise the amenities if they are barely if ever available. Aside from that not a bad place to live but I no pool or fitness center after being told there would be a pool and a fitness center is a little irritating.

I have been living here since many years. It used to be a good place but it’s not so great recently.First problem is the schools zone, it’s McAdory High, almost 14 miles away. The next apartment complex has Hoover High (couple of miles away). If you are a parent this isn’t your placeGym equipment are broken since almost a year, They still won’t change the treadmill which looks like it’s from 90’s. The pool is open for a very limited.The new managment isn’t good at communicating, they changed the toilet and shower head without much notice.And half of the review looks fake

We have been here for almost a year, in a 2 bed 2 bath, every month our water is over 50 dollars, and we are only there on weekends. Also, we bought a house and asked to put our unit on the market in hopes to leave early, they refused, said they couldnt, but we could bring them a renter and then we could leave. Weve never been late on a 1200 dollar apartment, weve caused any problems... but couldnt be worked with.

Don’t bother leasing with this complex they have horrible management, there was a water heather that overflowed it on my upstairs neighbor and it’s been a month and they haven’t fix anything in my apartment, they still made me paid rent for the month even though I not living in there, they try to give me a different apartment but wanting me to pay more for a smaller apartment. Don’t bother renting with them find another place.

Terrible place to live! Dont get me wrong the people that live here are all laid back but the managers are terrible specifically Benjamin (Rude and inconsiderate) my advice is if he tellls u something GET IT IN WRITING I was lied to multiple times about little things for example I paid my last month rent to move and he says that X amount is what I had to pay I paid it and I go return the key and Im told everybody in the complex is 2 months behind on water now I owe 120 $ even though Ive already moved. Also my apartment had ROACHS pest control did not help but they sprayed and caused mildew behind refrigerator and stove DONT MOVE HERE!!! Half these reviews are FAKE I can tell from just reading them because when I first moved in it had 1star now it has 4 mmmhmmm okay
