We’re 9 months into our 12-month lease and we’ve taken on substantial flooding 4 times. We keep being told that they’re going to have someone “fix” it, but that doesn’t mean much around here. We also had our AC go out earlier in the summer, but it was a month before they had someone out to “fix” it. In the middle of the summer. And even then, it wasn’t fixed. We turned it on one night only to wake up to a 54 degree apt. And then it was another week or two before someone came and actually fixed it. The roofing company that this complex hired to repair the roofs left trash everywhere, which resulted in me stepping on a roofing nail right outside my apt. Thank God it just wasn’t my dog that stepped on one. There is a history of hiring cheap labor at the expense of the residents, and I do not recommend living here. We’ll be moving out as soon as possible.

I moved across country for grad school and my apartment wasnt ready as promised. The manager- Cindy- told me I was being rude when I asked for a reduction in rent and unfair to the landlord. She needs to read some economic philosophy; its not possible to be unfair to the person holding the power. Shes also just rude and not helpful. She tries to cover for herself by making accusations against her tenants.Everyone else is also incompetent. The apartment has weird problems all the time. The repair guys generally seemed confused. They also smoke right outside and yell on the phone while working. They may or may not come fix your request. Were on day 7 with no Central Air. Wonderful. They refuse to call a HVAC pro, and Antoine has told me that he doesnt know whats wrong with it.

I lived at Woodmere for 4 years. I loved my time there. Management was incredible. Cindy took great care of any need I had, as well as the rest of management. Everyone is very friendly. Could not recommend this place enough! It was a great transition place from my college years into adulthood.

I have lived in my fair share of apartments and as I’ve recently closed on a house I must say Woodmere Creek has been my favorite place to live thus far. I never had any problems with my time here and noticed management cared about their property and tenants. The property was always groomed and kept looking nice. It was a quiet place to live right in the middle of a nice Vestavia neighborhood where you aren’t bothered by major Through traffic. Cindy was always a pleasure and easy to work with as well as maintenance. It’s nice to live somewhere where management provides a good experience and takes care of their property. Good Job Woodmere and to anyone looking I’d recommend WoodmereCreek all day. Thank you !

Maintenance guys and property manager are fantastic! Had my ac go out last month and they were super prompt and unproblematic. I’ve lived here over a year and have never had any issues. I’ve lived in the studio here, and for a studio it was surprisingly roomy and comfortable. This year I moved into a two bedroom here and Im also super satisfied with the space and I love having a fireplace. They also have recently been scheduling food trucks to come out a couple times a week which has been very convenient.Lastly, the location is great - you’re right next to Columbiana, 31, and 65, but since the property is so wooded you feel secluded while still being close to everything.

I had a very pour experience dealing with this management. I toured a model, liked it, and was told there was a unit available which I immediately applied for. On the application, there was no place to list which unit I was applying for nor was there a place to pay the application fee, both of which were suspicious to me. After I submitted the application, I waited 4 business days with no contact from them about the unit or the application fee. On the 4th day, I reached out, only to find out that the unit that I had been told was available had been leased in the time I was waiting. I never paid the application fee, but it was still incredibly frustrating to lose almost an entire week of time looking for an apartment in a high-demand time like the summer. TL;DR. Shady application process and they have no regard for time sensitivity or customer service.

The staff is incompetent and rude. Some of the lights werent working during my initial walkthrough, so I asked management to replace the lightbulbs prior to me moving in. I wanted to be sure that it was just a lightbulb issue and not an electrical issue. The manager was very rude to me and stated well its an old building, so not everything can be perfect. I guess that means that old buildings cant have working lights.

I have lived here since August 2016. It is really quiet. Maintenance requests have been fulfilled promptly and quickly. Its been a great experience!

Property has a serious drainage problem & major mold issue. Management seems overwhelmed. Any maintenance above most basic level, takes months and months. Hence how the mold was able to get so bad. As others have stated, gate is down more than it works. Excuse is always waiting on contractors for parts. On the other hand, theyre quick on very basic maintenance such as a clogged toilet. Roaches are also an issue in many buildings and you will have to purchase your own pest control supplies throughout your residency because their pest control does not help with roaches.

I have lived here for almost three years, and it has definitely been a mixed bag. The management handles services requests quickly and they maintain the grounds well. On the other hand, they promised that we would get a unit with hardwood floors, but we ended up with carpet. The kitchen and bathroom countertops and appliances are beyond cheap and flimsy. They say “cable included” which means they charge you $70 a month on top of your rent regardless of if you want it or not. They fixed the water bill recently as a way to make it “more consistent” but it is more than we ever payed in the past. The power bill is not metered for each apartment, but the entire building you are in, and then it is averaged out somehow. So you really have no way of controlling how much your power bill will be each month. It also seems very high considering how small the apartments are. The security gate is ALWAYS broken. It will get broken, they will do nothing for weeks, it will finally get fixed, get broken again a day or two later due to how flimsy the gate arms are, and then it will stay that way for another few weeks. So if you are considering living here for the “security”... don’t. My roommate and I have tried to just deal with everything since moving is a hassle, but we have finally had enough and will be leaving when our lease runs out.

Quiet neighborhood in the center of everything! Management and maintenance team are great and always ready to help. Although the complex has a gate, it serves very little protection from non-residents. The apartments are very spacious but receives little natural light.

I have lived in this apartment complex going on 3 years now. The office personnel is very incompetent when it comes to customer satisfaction. The package delivery system is nonexistent and unreliable. They have a closet where packages are delivered and unsecured. It is based on an honor system where residents can freely come to pick up packages. I have had plenty of occasions where my packages have come up missing because obviously, other residents are taking packages that do not belong to them. I have complained multiple times but the office says they are not reliable.

No cable wires!!!! I recently moved into an apartment here and realized that none of my bedrooms have cable outlets. I informed the office since they advertise as the apartments being cable ready, and they told me that they only provide cable in the living room and you are responsible for paying for wiring for the other rooms. Mind you, the model I toured had cable outlets in all the rooms and she made no mention that I will have to have lines installed in my apartment. I was also told that because these are old apartments, that they typically only come with one outlet. I have lived in plenty of old apartments and this has not been my experience. I have never had to install cable wiring in any apartment I have lived in. During their pitch, they are very proud to say that they pay for your cable, but fail to mention that you will have to pay for installing the wiring which can run over $100. I just feel that this is a very important point to mention due to the cost of installation. I feel not making your potential tenant aware is deceptive in nature. Just wanted to warn other potential renters of this issue.

Lived there for a year and a half. For long term stay I dont reccomend due to price hiking. This was the main reason we left due to base rent 200+ over the year and a half and we had 3 6 month leases. As well utilities can be high if you pick the rental they reccomend. Overall safe, close to most places, and apartment was of decent quality.
