Very professional company and they have very nice properties.
The neighborhood is quiet. I like my place. I just hope any of the staff will have better management with regards to mails that I still receive in my mailbox that are addressed to previous tenants. Maybe they can drop by regularly to collect them or something. And hopefully, they will start treating and maintaing the pool again so it can be safe to use.
I rented two different apartments through Red Rock Realty Group since moving back to Birmingham. I am very grateful for the time the Brad and his team took with me to get me placed both times. When there were needs that came up, the team was always very attentive to what that need was. I have been so impressed with the way they dealt with my needs I have even referred others to them. The folks at Red Rock have always done a great job when it comes to managing our apartments for us. Brad, Denise, and Bailey handle any issues we have promptly and efficiently, and when we have a problem to work through, they are always courteous and professional in the way they handle it. That courtesy and professionalism extends to the way they work with our tenants as well, which helps us have far fewer vacancies. We would highly recommend Red Rock to anyone looking for a solid property management service.
Overall they do handle things like maintenance and get things done quickly, but communication is very very poor. I was taking a shower once and they shut the water off with no notice or warning. Also have had maintenance enter my apartment without permission or request.

Before Red Rock Realty moved to Alexander City, the properties were less than desirable due to poor investment. However, Red Rock renovated and renewed these communities to a more vibrant place to live. With new appliances, fresh paint, and critical repairs, these apartments are the best value in Tallapoosa and Lee Counties. I actually commute to work at Auburn because the value is excellent. Also, Wendy is an excellent property manager who addresses the needs of residents and runs a tight ship keeping the properties progressing. Highly recommend Azalea and Camellia Apartments in Alexander City! 3 year resident!
Red Rock has managed my property for several years. I have always found them to be responsive to me as well as to my tenants. Turnkey, statements, disbursements, returning email has always been carried out in a timely manner.
Red Rock has been a great property manager for us. They were very helpful to show us around our new space and even improved a few things before we actually moved in. The space was clean and ready to go for us on move-in day which has been a problem in the past with other companies. I recommend them, for sure.

As a property management owner and Real Estate agent and broker myself of many vacation rental properties, I understand the process of repairs, getting techs out in a timely manner and handing residents and property owners. It’s not easy. RRock does a good job. Technology is good so I can seamlessly go on and pay my rent.

I moved to the Vestavia location about a year ago. I will say my apartment has had no maintenance issues and communication with management has been great throughout 2020.
Red rock was easy to rent through. Maintenance requests always went through easily when needed and I had a great experience as a tenant using them.

I have been a tenant with Red Rock for 4 years. The best way to describe them concisely is: Real people who work with real people. I have read some of the other negative reviews and can’t disagree more. Yes, the company went through a brief transition but handled it well. They are fair and will work with you as long as you are kind, polite and are completely aware/willing of your expectations as a renter. They know people go through things and are accommodating as long as you are in communication with them. I am moving simply because I prefer a different space and unfortunately they do not have any availability in my children’s school zone. I would definitely rent again from their company. I moved in Friday 8/9/19. Upon moving in my air wasn’t working, called and they said they would send some one out. 2 maintenance men came out but my air wasn’t fixed. When i called back they said they would not come out unless it was 85 degrees or more. They did not fix my air until 8/10/19 after i called that morning and told them i was hot and someone needed to fix my air that day. Second problem on my move in day, my tub was clogged. I put a work request in on 8/9/19 no one has yet to come out. I called 8/10/19 they said they will mark it urgent & someone would be out that day. 8/10/19 i took a shower & the water did not run out i had to scoop dirty water out & flush down the toilet. I called 8/11/19 & 8/12/19 about the tub being clogged and they said someone would fix it that day. I come home from work 8/12/19 and it is still a tub full of dirty water. I call the maintenance line and he said he would mark my request urgent and send the on call maintenance man to my apartment ASAP. As the air conditioning man was fixing the air in another apartment he knocks mine out somehow i called about that also. So the on call maintenance man calls me and says that he tried to come out but didn’t have a key to my apartment so i asked him what i was suppose to do about a shower and he said “the best i can do is be there in the morning”. AFTER i was told it would be fixed today. Cable line are ran from the upstairs apartments to the bottom. I asked if he fixed my cable he said the line was cut and spectrum was coming out tomorrow. I called spectrum and they had no record of this. Then he said the air conditioning man would be out & i am STILL without air. Moral of the story they will tell you anything to TRY to keep you happy. It has been problem after problem after problem and i have not been here a WEEK YET. My air is still out, my tub is still clogged, i still do not have my cable & WiFi hooked up. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!!
I must say that Jamie Kuntz and Amy Show were both very nice and kind. They both talked with me as I came in to check my status of my application that did not take more than the time that was stated and I was approved quickly with all documents that was ask of me to bring in to process my application. Anyway to make a long story short even though I was in a rush to move and I changed from the 1st apartment I was approved for to another it was a smooth process as well. I will like to say over all I will give them ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & a 10 for my experience Thanks Ladies & Ted Rock Really!!😊
I read the reviews before coming but decided what was meant for me would be. I stepped out on faith and applied. And can honestly say I haven’t regretted living here once my downstairs neighbors moved out as they did even want me to walk around my apartment!! If I put in a maintenance request they respond. The grounds are kept nice and clean I love it here.

This company IS BY FAR the BEST rental company I have rented from. From day ONE...Victoria, Amy, and Sarah have been EXCEPTIONAL. These ladies work hard and help in any way they can and we appreciate their constant support!! Our apartment had an issue with mixup in the beginning but these women worked expeditiously to resolve the issue!! My family and I will be here for the long haul because its hard to come by a company that stands by their customers and their well-being!!! We love this place!!
This one of the worst property management companies in Birmingham. If you have no other choice, Red Rock Realty is just for you! They do not follow tenant leasing laws. They don’t do anything to solve problems, if anything they create more. You’ll make a complaint they will listen to you and sympathize but they will not be proactive in solving any situation dealing with disturbances of a neighbor. They also tried to say I didn’t pay my rent which was not true my bank statements said other wise. Instead of trying to help they will manipulate a situation trying to force you out from where you can afford to live. If you have 15 people that need a place to stay in a one bedroom rent from Red Rock Realty, they have no capacity limitations. You’ll have a Red Rock time. Remember Red Rock is just a stone covered in blood.
Brad Clay stated they do not accept out of state guarantors, even if they provide a years rent upfront. I am unsure how this is at all beneficial to them unless they are attempting to keep a certain kind of tenant from renting their properties.Food for thought.Edit to respond to owners comment:Thank you for your quick response! If only your responses were this timely when reporting a problem in one of your units! Lets be clear that I did not accuse you of anything, merely stated that this was the only logical reason I could conclude for not accepting a years rent upfront. I rented 1836 Glendmere Dr Vestavia, AL. This house is a disaster to live in, especially when the property manager (Don) doesnt repair anything. The house basement floods when it rains, there was mold in ceilings, and the plumbing has issues. Do not rent from this company they only want your money and will not assist with their property.

They are probably by far the worst people to rent from. Been a tenant with them for many years and it did not start off this way. What I love best about them is the maintenance department who first of all doesnt fix anything..they will patch things up and give you a bogus maintenance charge when you report the issue to them again. Oh and not to mention the person who handles the maintenance requests is a real joy to deal with over the phone, as this person is rude and very unprofessional. Something else that I truly love about them is how they will send you bogus late fees if you dont keep up with when you paid them and how much. My advice to any new tenant is to keep copies of your rent payments and if you pay online take screenshot of the paymment confirmation.

Ive been in one of the properties for a while now I have to say that it has been a fair stay as long as you dont need them for anything.. What I dont like is that you can never get anyone on the phone, maintenance takes their time to fix things and let not mention you can never get the person over the phone to return phone calls. The washers in the washroom work sometimes.

I want to first say that I love how quiet our apartment is and the location. I enjoy that it is one level and no one is above or below us. The one thing, and its a HUGE PROBLEM, something that I told them about right after moving into said apartment about is the carpet. I mentioned that it was filthy and the owner of Red Rock persisted to state that it had been professionally clean. And after talking to our neighbor I believe this to be true. But the previous owners were disgusting and I dont know what they did to it but even after us buying a high dollar, well made carpet cleaner ourselves and cleaning it TWICE we still cannot walk across the carpet without our feet being sticky and them nor or socks being BLACK. This makes me sick to my stomach. We should be able to walk on our carpet without this being an issue. We have a three year old and I feel disgusted knowing it will never been clean. We only moved in the last week of October and I hate knowing we have to deal with this problem indefinitely. It has torn places and places where it is coming apart in two areas in a line that will only get worse. You guys KNEW the last tenant was fifthly and knowing that should have just replaced the carpet so no one else had to deal with it. I believe it needs to be pulled up and something else put down ASAP. I know that if it is not that we will be moving out, instead of staying put (as we had hoped to do) as soon as our year is up. That is a shame because otherwise we love it.
I applied for an apartment about three months ago. I paid the application fee ($90) and waited for their call. When I finally received the call (after more than a week, rather than the 3-4 day waiting period they promised), I was told someone had applied before me, so they received the apartment. Things happen, and I was okay with this news. The woman I spoke to on the phone said they would have another apartment available at the same location in two weeks time. Thats great! She said they would call me as soon as it was available, and I would be the first person on the waiting list.Three weeks go by. I call to check on it after hearing nothing. This time Im told they dont know what date the apartment will be available---not even a time estimate.Fast forward three months. No updates. At first I called once a week, and they typically answered the phone, though they were NEVER able to offer a time estimate on the apartment. For the past month, Im lucky to ever get a person on the phone--instead I have to leave voicemails that have only been answered once.And now the voicemail box is full. They never answer. I was patient to begin with, but I specifically halted apartment hunting for the apartment they originally said would be ready two weeks after I applied.Im so disappointed with this experience. If you are in a time crunch and must have an apartment quickly, please dont use this company.I am lucky to have found a much nicer place to live, with much more helpful staff. Im leaving this review in the hopes that someone will completely avoid this realty company, rather than wasting three months on them with no results and down $90, like I did.

Red rock reality bought the apartments I live in on August 2019. I have never been late on rent but the manager doesnt post rental payments until the 8th to the 12th of the month and then post a late fee! Doesnt answer the phone either. I would love a call back. UPDATE: After this post I received a call back from corporate and everything was resolved in a very professional manner. Thank you so much for taking care of this problem!

I had the best experience today with the staffI called because I was lost due to me not being from the Birmingham area. The one lady I spoke to when I called tried to help but she told me she was not from the area and was not familiar with the streets or ave but was eager to get me to the right place. I spoke with the other young lady and she guided me directly to the office. Both of the ladies were extremely helpful and courteous. Although they did not have an opening in the area I was interested I will be sure to keep in touch if the customer service continues to be top notch.

Worst realty company I have ever had to deal with. Was treated horribly because of my skin color. My girlfriend put in her application for an apartment which basically got approved but her boss wouldnt verify employment over the phone (thats okay and a safe thing to do). Instead of letting her know of the problem, she received no notification. She called to find out days later about the status of her application because she heard nothing from them at all and was told of the problem. For a company needing to fill spots, since empty spots cost money instead of make money, this is a very horrible way for employees to be. When she put in her deposit and we asked about a receipt, we were told the receipt from the money order was enough (the tear off tab). I guess receivership of money doesnt require a receipt for this company or Brittany doesnt understand how a receipt actually works. Every other company weve rented from gives a receipt as proof of receiving a deposit (Arizona, California, Florida, Virginia). Very sketchy. Not a company we want to deal with.Update (20181106): The response to my review was horrible. Your core values dont mean a thing if there is no true follow-up to a problem so it can be corrected. I am in the U.S. Air Force and one of our core values are Integrity First. This company posted a advertisement as a 5 star review. There is no integrity there as they stated in their core values.
In my business dealings with Red Rock real estate I have found them to be very professional. In working with them year after year I have nothing but compliments for the level of customer service they provided me. Red Rock is a company continually pursuing excellence. They are problem solvers always pursuing a solution to problems instead of ignoring them. In the future I would be willing to work with him again without question.
My air conditioner went out last night (10/4). We have placed several calls through the maintenance line with promises of someone getting in touch with us ASAP. We haven’t heard a single thing. This is Alabama in the middle of summer. It’s HOT. I would never recommend these people to anyone.

When paid your High priced application fee and when you told me my application was cleared was when we were to have this discussion. My family and I spent 2 weeks in a hotel room waiting to hear back from YOU...calling every other day didnt help either) Like I said 0 out of 5 stars. I should have known better after reading bad reviews about your company.

Red Rock realty was very accommodating when it came to issues I was having in my apartment, due to the previous tenant. The office went above & beyond to fix these issues. Even to the point of replacing my dryer with a new one (even though my particular complex no longer offered washers/dryers).
Was able to walk right in, pay my rent and take care of an issue with my apartment with no hassle. Every experience Ive had has been pleasant
Nice realty group to lease for residence near UAB. Hospitable and helpful staff, maintenance is reasonably good. They try to resolve issues instead of staying idle for complaints such as parking issues, pest control etc. But one of the things they need to concentrate more is on maintaining cleanliness around apartment complex
If I could give this 0 starts I would. The atmospheres is very tensed & uninviting. The front desk/customer service reps that works in the Residential Department are very unprofessional & confrontational. The older Caucasian (heavy set) female doesnt acknowledge customers & the younger Caucasian lady (slender with slight overbite) likes to raise her voice & talk to adults as if theyer ignorant children. I always request receipts before submitting my payments in the drop & they always act as if its a problem. No other customers are present & youre not doing anything but on your personal phone/social media.If you activate the audio on your cameras you can clearly hear that words were exchanged between your cs rep and myself. Of course you can see a confrontation you can only hear it. Now you all are fake. Who ever I talked with when I filed my complaint stated that she shouldn’t have given me a hard time regarding a receipt request and now you want to call me a liar for the world to see. That’s slandering my character.

Very prompt! You can’t beat being smack dab in the middle of the city in a reasonably priced complex and you get a overlook of the city. My complex doesn’t allow animals and I loovvveeee that! Police precinct right around the corner.
AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! They rent out to literally anyone including scum drug dealers. They don’t even check on their properties. When calling the police on neighbors we were retaliated against. Red rock doesn’t properly address anything. They are extremely incompetent in the office. Luckily, the altercation gave me an opportunity to move. The only reason I moved in was because of the movein special but they could give our properties for free and I still wouldn’t rent with them. Continue to have your tenants have dice games in your parking lot. They are rude as well. I can go on and on about the company in general but all these bad reviews speak for themselves.

The experiences I have had with the front desk have been an exceptional! They are always a pleasure to work with; their attention to detail far exceeds any expectations. If my dealings with these ladies was my only experience, it would have been 5 stars!However, my experience with the maintenance requests has left something to be desired. From the first interaction, it seems every request has required multiple follow up calls, and even unecessary attitude and push back.
I have had nothing but trouble with this company. I own a home and moved out of state and needed to rent it. At first, they found great tenants and I really had no trouble. Unfortunately, those tenants moved out and everything slid downhill. The next tenant skipped out on the last 3 months of rent (which I have still not received from 9 months ago). He also trashed the house. Obviously, Red Rock did not do their due diligence when finding a tenant. I had them try to find a new tenant. 3 months went by with little to no communication. When I complained to the property manager, I was told that I could take my business elsewhere. It keeps getting worse from there. I have lost the energy to continue.

Please do yourself a favor and rent with another company in Birmingham. This is one of the most disorganized and frustrating realty companies I have ever had the displeasure of having to work with. The shame is that the apartment itself is quite nice, even if it wasnt cleaned before I moved in.Initially, after Red Rock tried to overcharge me, I was charged twice for my security deposit. Then, when moving in, I was told that the only way to pay my first months rent was through security deposit and that I had to drop it off in person at their office. What a thoroughly archaic way to collect rent! On top of the fact that their office hours prevent you from actually getting to their office if you have a full time job. Regarding their hours, even if you call while they are supposedly open, never once have they actually answered the phone. And good luck receiving a timely callback if you leave a message, as it takes at least a week for them to respond.Fast forward two months, and I receive a notice of 2 months back rent due plus a late fee and my security deposit. Not only have they lost the record of my security deposit, they failed to note that they already charged me TWICE for it. After spending 2 days on the phone and numerous assurances from multiple employees there that everything is settled, I hope it doesnt happen again. Next month comes along, and I am told I am being threatened with eviction due to $1300+ back rent missing from their records. I am still awaiting a call back regarding this new report of incompetence.This company is absolutely horrible when it comes to organization. The only person who has been helpful at their office, Jordan, appears to be the only competent one there, but the issues still keep piling on. If looking to rent in Birmingham, DO NOT look here.

Never had an issue with bed bugs until I moved into one of their units. It has been a total nightmare!! I’ve had to throw out most of my things and it seems they don’t even care. I’ve contacted maintenance TWICE with this very serious issue and still no response. My next step is calling the health department. BEWARE!!Update: I still have bedbugs and I am still being bitten 3 weeks later. They have “treated” my unit twice & its not helped at all. Plus I found out the lady next door had bedbugs in November & the man above me has had them too but they claim he doesn’t have them anymore. I moved in towards the end of Feb & the bites popped up towards the end of March which means these bugs were still here well before I moved in & they didn’t treat it properly. I’ve decided to just move and they refuse to give my security deposit back but I don’t even care. I’ll rather live in a clean, safe environment. The name of these apartments are KINGS DREAM.
I have always had excellent service with purchasing property and having Red Rock manage them. I never knew I could buy apartments and never worry about them. Red Rock handles renting them, collecting rent, and keeping up with maintenance. #1 company.

Horrible company, the worst Ive ever seen and thats no exaggeration! They work against you not with you, very dishonest and unprofessional. Seems they try to put you out more than keep your service, keep in mind i have lived in my apartment for over 10 yrs and have never received a termination notice until this company took over. They disregard the lease signed and come up with these lies and made up figures and blame the previous company for it the first time. They dont want to fix anything but quick to put a termination notice on your door if rent is late. I dont know where these 5 star reviews come from, me and 2 other neighbors are planning to move out. They never answer or return your call.
Let me add as well yes VERY RACIST. Been renting for 6 years and never had any problems. Moving out ASAP will not pay another dime with this company. Zero stars. I am calling me a lawyer for sure I have already started looking for counsel.
Terrible service, will never rent from again. charged me $50 to go the .25 miles from their office to my apt door to unlock it.. treat people like a number and not a valued customer.
HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I WISH I KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR TENANTS AT ALL. YOUR BASICALLY ON YOUR OWN. I MOVED IN AND TWO DAYS LATER MY A/C WENT COMPLETELY OUT. THEY SENT A TECH OUT TO REPAIR IT AND THE NEXT DAY IT WAS OUT AGAIN. I THEN STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH ROACHES AND SPIDERS NOTHING WORKED. I WALKED INTO SPIDER WEBS ALL THE TIME. I HAVE A 10 MONTH OLD I CANT EVEN PUT ON THE FLOOR TO CRAWL AROUND. I THEN STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MICE. I ASKED IF I COULD MOVE TO ANOTHER COMPLEX AND I WAS DENIED. THEY CAME OUT TO MY HOME TWICE TO SPRAY AND I HAD TO CALL THEM TO DO THAT. PLEASE TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE!
