Apparently corporate thinks it is acceptable to increase rent by 41% short notice. These apartments are not nice and new. They were built pre hurricane Katrina. Half the cabinets do not stay closed. Theres random cockroaches that will find ways into your apartment. The floors creek. I can hear the buzz from the ceiling fan from the people that live below me so Im sure they hear whenever I walk. Theres reasons this place was cheaper than everywhere else when I moved in. Now all of a sudden they want to charge over $1200 for an inconvenient living experience. Being cheaper was the only saving grace, but now thats gone so I absolutely cannot recommend this place.

The price is way to high and is not as nice as they make it out to be. There hot tub is green, bugs everywhere in the pool the grass isn’t well kept up with, and the light fixture fell on my husbands head. On top of that yes it’s dog friendly but the grass has stickers everywhere not sure if that was a mistake on there end or what but just watch out for your dog’s paws or littles ones feet. Highly recommend to choose or look else where.

Management is nice until you sign the contract and pay security deposit. Apartments are generally run down and overpriced. Appartment updates look ticky-tacky and amateurish. Dont look close or touch! The occasional insect problem but management does not want to hear.

Fleas!!I moved into this property in March 2021 and even though it was older, I really liked the location and layout of the units. Within the first day of moving in, I found fleas on the floor in my first floor unit, I did not have any pets. After alerting the property manager, it was sprayed. I did not stay in the unit and when I came back and continued vacuuming, I was still vacuuming up live fleas. I alerted the manager again and it was sprayed again, much heavier.After I returned to the unit again, I was still vacuuming up live fleas. At this time I told the property manager that I would be terminating my lease. I was less than 30 days into the lease, stayed overnight less than 5 nights and gave 30 days notice. I still was required to pay the termination fee even though the property was not suitable to rent.

Next month is my last month, Ive been living here for 2 years now. Judy and Hasi are super nice at the office so thats great. The apartments are fine but nothing outstanding. Its a place to live. Im really not a demanding tenant so it was fine for me. Ive seen roaches here and there but really nothing crazy. Neighbors havent been a problem either for me. The reason that I give it 3 stars is for 3 things.1. When I moved in my apartment, it smelled like smoke intensively. Im a non smoker and that smell was so disgusting. I kept smelling it when I went in and out of my apartment for over a year. It might still smell today and I got used to it but it was really a bad start. I toured the apartment on camera so I obviously did not spot that.2. Last year, for about 4-5 months, I had over $600 monthly electricity bills and I didnt even notice it because I never check my electric bills but when I did they came and fixed the problem and my electric bills were back to like $70 but they never refunded me for anything because they said it was my fault (and I definitely agree that I it was). That said, I was really disappointed that they couldnt do anything because the apartment complex was blaming the electricity company and vice versa so definitely watch your electric bills carefully if you live here.3. Last month, I got a notice that my rent would go from $741 to best $957 (thats a 29.19% increase) if I signed for a 12 month lease where is if I went month to month it would be almost $1.1k or something. I only had like 10 days to decide if I stayed or not so that put me in a position where I needed to apartment hunt like a madman to find something quickly.With all that said, in general, its a fine place to live in.Update: I called the number that the owner told me to call in the comment below and it dit not change anything.

I came to visit my sister & her apartment literally is infested with termites & management won’t do nothing about, that is literally gross, i can’t believe that we have to sleep, shower and eat with termites. im leaving in a couple of days but my sister has to “deal with it” as they were technically told. very horrible .

Honest review. I enjoyed my stay here. For the price you can’t beat the amount of space. Maintenance responds to issues in a timely manner. Office staff is always available to resolve any issues. With everything going on when Covid initially kicked off, they were very understanding with my situation. Overall it’s a relatively quiet neighborhood. I will however miss the beautiful ducks.I’m giving four stars because they gate was rarely ever locked and sometimes I would have to go out of my way to throw trash away because it would get overfilled.

Judy in the leasing office is awesome. Super helpful and always ready to assist. The apartments are great compared to what else is close by. The grass is always mowed, stairwells pressure washed regularly, and maintenance is quick to respond. It’s a quite complex, and it’s easy to sit on your balcony and enjoy the afternoon. Would highly recommend.

The maintenance is always understanding and quick to respond. Mrs. Judy in the office is awesome. She is always ready to jump when you are. The apartments are nice. And I notice there are some improvements in progress. The reason. I am giving 3 stars because we have had SEVERAL problems with someone during the night breaking into our vehicles, tools and a floor jack were also stolen out of the bed of my brothers truck while they were down visiting. We usually lock our cars, but we are human and sometimes we forget. And last night someone broke into my husbands tool box on his truck and stole from it also.. I shouldnt have to worry about someone breaking into our vehicles here. So there can be improvements on security.

Wouldnt reccomend these apartments. They are over priced and poorly built. My back door hasnt fully shut since I got here. The cabinet doors are falling off. The hard floors are so soft that any little thing cause them to mark up. The shower has a crack in it. The fireplace never worked (even tho we didnt need it) we were told we had to move apartments because our 2 year old altistic son was walking to hard, so I contacted a lawyer and legally we didnt have to. We did just because my wife was prego and wanted a first floor apartment. So much dog poop all over the grass areas. Was told they couldnt make the residents with dogs pick them up but its in the lease and posted on signs. The trash at the dumpsters fill up 2 days after the trash is picked up forcing the residents to put the trash on the ground beside the dumpsters. The pool was only opened 3 months out of the year due to cleaning. They removed the playground due to the hurrican and all the privacy fence but 4 months later they havnt even attempted to replace it. We moved here because they are a gated community but the gates have only been shut 2 months out of the whole year allowing anybody in. I would highly recommend you find a better apartment.

Overall, this is a pretty good place to live. However, maintenance issues are not always done in a timely manner...shouldnt have to keep calling every week for them to say they will put in another work order. Also, being in a wheelchair, the building housing the laundry, workout rooms, and entry to the pool is not very accessible because the gates that are very accessible are always padlocked. I have to wheel out past this area, out to the parking lot, across behind parked cars a little ways to get the sidewalk that goes up a pretty good hill to get to the door with key card access. Update: they are in the process of putting in a new sidewalk that that will make these areas very wheelchair accessible.

Mrs. Judi is amazing and she made my move-in easy as possible, it’s great that I can call her with any questions or concerns and she understands and tries her best to take care of my needs ! 😊

The Grove is and amazing place to live. It is a big complex with many extras like the pool, the gym and the wonderful and amazing people that work there as well. Since Ive lived at The Grove, Ive been satisfied with Management. If I had an issue, Management listened and did their best to reconcile the problem as soon as possible. Thats very important to me.

I have been living at the apartments for over a year and I have seen a big change and big improvements in the Apartments. Reading the reviews, I decided I had to voice my thoughts on the apartments. The statements of the place being nasty, there is a major renovation going on, never pretty during that time, but it is a improvement! I see the workers always picking up from Residents who throw their trash anywhere. The pool has had a major upgrade from last year, absolutely beautiful lighted pool at night, last year no lights. People complaining of bugs, not once have I had a problem and they come on a regular schedule and spray. Complaints on the things not getting fixed, I have had some issues with my A/C and the man came out that night and it could not fixed that night, I was offered another solution, they came the next morning and had me back up and running. The hateful remarks on the ladies in the office, I have never seen any of the ladies being rude or not caring. And yes I see them all over the property, when I had a ambulance at my apartment, the manager was there checking to see if she could call some of my family for me. The Office is always decorated for the holidays and they have little treats for the children. So with that being said, Im sure people have complaints, but some remarks, I bet that person had complaints on them, and some people you just cant make happy.....

Now a days excellent customer service is very hard to come by so when I arrived at the complex I was not only impressed with the property but even more so with the staff !!!! Hats off to an amazing team that made me feel like I was home from the moment I walked in. Thank you for being unlike the rest by providing excellence in all you do.

Fireplace that leaked gas, black moldy tarp hanging down over patio never removed and smelled toxic. No maintenance for the most minor fixes, DISCRIMINATION. Having mobility issues I was never offered a ride on the golf cart to view location of apartment, however I witnessed multiple times the leasing agent giving rides to many different prospective renters. I was told I could not see apartment unless I signed the lease first, I never receieved a gate key which gives access to laundry facility and fitness center. This complex is supposed to be gated but the gate didnt work. The water is contaminated and smells horrible but you are charged for it. The Grove should be renamed The Grave. Find a better place.

I have lived at this complex for 5 almost 6 years now. I always dreaded loving in an apartment, but the property management here have given me numerous reasons to love it. They are just great. The new renovations look beautiful. One thing I love the most, is how small of a complex it is. Yet I hardly see even my co workers who live buildings over. The ducks are friendly that wander around and when their babies arrive its too adorable. I feel very safe here. The courtesy officers are always nice and ready to help. The staff goes above and beyond to treat everyone like family and meet peoples needs. Its rare to find that kinda dedication to most apartments residents. All in all I would highly reccomend stopping by to atleast look at the apartments bv because you will probably fall in love to. The interior is nice and their numerous options for layouts are great. I love my layout. Good luck with your apartment hunting (:
