I can be very picky once I get used to one person. My first time there I was very surprised that one of the males suggested I soak my gel.nails off for a VERY serious point. Fungus due to air bubbles were beginning or almost about to happen had I not soaked them off and just gotten a refill. They looked great since having time to grow and I was able to get a thin overlay of acrylic which you can see in the French blue tip pic. My second time my lady was very busy and I had someone else do them. I wasnt happy that she was on the phone the whole time and I felt as though she rushed through my service. She did a great job some would say but I was just used to my lady. If you get someone stick to them because everyone in there does a great job but have their own style in taking care of your needs.

First of all, Ive never been to a shop that doesnt do regular nail polish. Then charge $5 to remove callous when infact its dead skin which comes with basic pedicure. This was half done.Johnny made me feel very uncomfortable with his abrasive attitude.My eyebrows were done sooo fast I hope they last a week.I will not be returning.

VERY NICE experience. Clean establishment, nice staff and takes walk in. Personal equipment for each customer-must purchase. The salon is big, so able to practice social distancing correctly. My nail tech did a nice job.

The nail technician did an awesome job on my pedicure! She even gave me my own set of tools that she used on my feet to bring back with me if I return! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and my pedicure looked and still looks amazing!

I used to go there often but the nail tech I used to go to left. I the last two times I’ve been back there my experience was horrible they are nice but the quality is not there. My acrylic was bulky and my nails had a lot of air bubbles and little pieces of lint in my nails. Plus the nail tech did not clean up nails on my feet or my nails...never going back

I wouldnt recommend. I got my lashes & eyebrows done didnt like either. Lashes were too long & uneven she couldve shaped my brows a little better. I told the lash lady i wanted them super natural didnt get that took them off soon as I left the shop

The ombre set was my first set, while I am fairly new to the Baltimore area. My original nail tech was based in Washington Dc where she slayed my nails each time. Coming in I always know what I want done, so I simply just patiently wait for the outcome. I came to LUX after hearing that LUX is like a raving hot spot for a lot of ladies in the area, even a lot of my residents come to Lux. My tech was Amy. First let me say Amy & Alex are absolutely amazing! They make you feel at home. My first set she did an amazing job, I held my set for a month and the yellow set was just done 5/15/18 and she once again perfected my nails. The girl is bomb! Not just that she got the magic touch on the brows! I absolutely love LUX! They will be my home salon while here in Baltimore.

It was clean and covid safe,the young lady that did my nails was fast

I decided to get my nails done on a Friday.I stepped in the salon told the lady at the desk that I wanted a full set (no gel polish)I chose my desired color and sat down the time was 4:40pm. I waited...waited....waited there were two other young ladies that were there before I had arrived they finally got called to get their nails done at 5:10pm meanwhile I waited.I checked my phone after awhile it read 5:39 I was about to get up and leave when suddenly this guy came from the back( I think he was the manager) and he looked like he meant business. He started shouting (in whatever their native language is) to the workers probably asking why are there so many people waiting (around that time five other people were waiting besides me) Then he called me up along with two other women to get our nails done(FINALLY)The manicurist did a good job on my nails. The price was very good to I paid 22$.Three stars for the hour wait.The color of my nails is Dare to Wear Nail Polish, Golden Doublet.

I must say Ive been to so many nail salons in Baltimore and not everyone knows how to do nails. But at this salon everyone is good. I have been going here for 4 years now. My nail tech is Emily. John is my second choice. He is fairly new to this salon but came from Mondawnmin where I was going before Lux open. Tell Emily Nika sent you. lol

Have been goin to lux since they open. I loved them then and now. I travel from east to west just to get my nails done by them.

They are pretty good its just always a wait and sometimes they do rush. However they do good nails and Alex the owner is always nice and understanding

I usually get a full set and fill in’s I also get pedicure’s . I go to Amy #1 there is two Amy’s she does a great job she shapes them how I like it and the quality is great. I never have a issue with polish cheating or nail breaking .

This was my first time coming here and I love it. Amy (dark hair) did a great job! She was polite and even engaged me in conversation. You can tell that she knows what she is doing! Definitely going back just for Amy!

I will come here again for a pedicure. It was awesome! I will not go there again for powder dip. They use a gel polish and UV rays in combination with the dip which is not proper. One of my fingernails already chipped!

Yesterday was my first time there and the experience was great. Moon gave me excellent service. She did my nails, pedicure, and my eyebrows. She is definitely my new nail tech.

I followed Moon there from another nail salon l just love the way she does my feet and nails. Been with her going on 9 years, she is like extended family to me! Very friendly owners and very pleasant, love being around them! 😊

Absolutely horrible. I got a spa pedicure and gave him 30$. He decided to keep my 5$ without asking and I was going to give him more!!Edited review: came in on 6/15/18 and a very nice gentleman with greyish-blue hair provided me with great service. He was very thorough with my toes and they look 10x better than the last time I can.When I came for my first time around 7pm (in their defense) they were closing in about an hour, so I’ll be a BIT understanding. I’ll go here again as long as he’s here:)

My experience there have always been EXCELLENT n FAMILY ORA to me. The staff is friendly, respectful, excellent workers. LUX nail salon is #1 to me. Thank you Alex n staff for making me feel like family n make me more gorgeous when I leave the salon all the time.

Unprofessional, rude, and the quality of work is piss poor. This was by far the quickest & cheapest (quality not price) pedicure I have ever gotten. The lady didnt even speak to me to say hello. She was rough with me, yanking my feet in various directions. She clipped my cuticle and didnt apologize. Cut my boyfriends toe nail down way too low, she cut into the meat. And the worst is when they spend the entire time yelling throughout the salon in various languages. This is my time to relax, not be overwhelmed by loud noises and rude behavior. I was not even offered a beverage. I will not be wasting my money here ever again!

Customer service is horrible. I called to see if I can be serviced if Im there by 7pm . The employee said I could b serviced if Im there before 7. Thats what time the doors lock. I pulled up at 6:55 knocked on the door and was ignored and wasnt serviced. Needless to say I will not b returning nor will I be referring any of my clients or family and friends there. I am tired of patronizing ppl who dont respect and appreciate my patronage.i really am over the foreign nail shops

I am writing my review of this salon after my third visit. The first time I was seen by Leo for a fill in and Moon for a gel polish change on my toes. There is metered parking on the street ($.50/hour). It was a Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy, but there was no wait for me to be seen. They have a good selection of gel polishes. I’m not sure about the regular polish selection. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and Leo was friendly and professional. My nails were perfect. My polish change was like an abbreviated form of a pedi. My feet were washed and my cuticles were removed and nails filed...much more than I expected, as I’d just had a pedi the week before.My second visit was on a Friday morning it was busy, but again, no wait. This time I was seen by Amy in seat 1. She was very fast, without rushing and took the time to find a color she wasn’t sure they had. I was seen again by Moon, who gave me a spa pedi and that left my feet as soft as a new baby’s. All of the tools and pedi bowls are clean and the shop is clean with nice decor and order. They have approx 16 pedi chairs, and 18 nail tech stations, which is GREAT.Im writing my review while my services are being completed. It’s my 3rd visit and it’s Wednesday morning. I was here before they opened, which was supposed to be at 10 am. The doors were opened at about 10:06 and I was greeted by Amy in seat 1 as soon as I walked in. She invited me to her station and began to work right away. This time I had my old set removed and a new one applied. The shape is perfect, the polish job could be a little better, but I have OCD and it could just be me being picky. I picked out the color I’ve been thinking about getting since my last visit and she nicely explained that it would be more green than I wanted and recommended a perfect alternative. Moon once again took care of my feet wonderfully. I’m going on a baecation this weekend and wanted to lengthen my big toe nails since they’d broken over the last month. She took her time to add an overlay and shape the big toe nail to my liking and paid great attention to making sure my feet were like new before I left the chair. I’ve posted pics from this most recent visit. I leave here very happy with my experience every time. They are courteous, professional, patient and priced reasonably compared to other salons I’ve been to recently. This salon is my new nail salon home - and I’ve been searching for over a year now. I would highly recommend Lux and I have referred a few friends to them. Keep up the good work! You’ve earned yourself a new long time, loyal customer in me. Thank you, Amy1, Leo, Moon and Alex.
