I went to Athena Nails because of all the good reviews, but after my experience I’m not sure why there are so many. I got a pedicure and acrylic fill-in. The pedicure was fine, but the lady who did it could have told me to roll my pants up more because now I have stains from the scrub she used on my new leggings.Honestly I hate this manicure so much Im getting it fixed this weekend. My nails don’t look “clean” around the cuticles and they are all different shapes and lengths. Didn’t notice the problem until I got outside, because the lighting in there is meh. Appreciate that the nail tech spent so much time and obviously tried to be careful, but unfortunately it was a waste for both of us.Finally, the worst part: employees talking poorly about a client in front of other customers/myself. I could tell this client was difficult, but talking negatively about a loyal customer is wildly unprofessional. Another issue is that they don’t have a restroom for customers. Never in my life have I been to a salon with no restroom. Bottom line, save your time and money by going elsewhere.

The worst. Nails looked good but had my nails weak and brittle. All of my natural nails have broken or are super thin. If you want fake nails they are adequate but if you have your real nails then please go somewhere else.......if you want to keep them. Hate I ever went here. 4 nails broke within 3 weeks. My natural strong nails fine until I went here for a gel manicure. Dont go here with natural nails unless its for a pedicure. Not for Natural nails or nail care!!!!!!!

The issue is there is no consistency at this place - with quality and with prices between technicians. Ive gotten nails done here that were around $40 and ones that were over $60 for the exact same pedicure. When I was here prior, I had a sugar scrub and collagen scrub done and the technician took her time and was very thorough. When I was last here recently, my sugar scrub lasted about 10 seconds along with the collagen scrub, and I found I still had some sugar scrub on my leg and dead skin from the collagen under my feet that wasnt removed. I dont know if I can come here again - the quality is just so drastic between technicians and if I cant trust that my nails will get done right every time, then its not worth me coming here.

The atmosphere was absolutely a joy very tranquil.. SuSu was amazing. She has a gentle touch. I will definitely go back.

This place saved the day for me. I had an appt at a near by salon but they messed up my appt so I came here. They got my water going fast. Mamatu did my pedicure and she did an outstanding job and was very pleasant. I have a new place to come to now for my pedicure.

I have been going to Reecha at Athena nails for a couple of months now for dip nails + pedicures and love it. I had a pretty terrible experience at a previous business when they sliced my finger tips with the file pretty much every time. And eventually stopped going completely.I was nervous to try a new place but Reecha listened and walked me through her process. She is always gentle, thorough and does an amazing job. She is always on time, wonderful to sit with and I look forward to seeing her every few weeks at Athena. Everyone there is so nice and the prices are great too. Highly recommend.

I’ve been here many times for a mani pedi. ever since I found this salon it’s been my go to. I’ve had a different staff member each time but all were professional and took their time. In particular, Vivienne spent so much time on my pedicure I literally almost fell asleep because I was that relaxed. Never had to wait for a spot for more than 5 mins (Note: I usually go during weekday late mornings so I’m sure it’s way busier evenings and weekends). They offer you water and wine which is a nice touch.

I struggled trying to find a lash tech when I moved to Maryland. I was absolutely ecstatic when I found SuSu. Ive over paid so many times for an outcome that I was unsatisfied with. SuSu listened to what I told her I wanted and I loved the outcome!! Shes the best at what she does!!

Bright, clean location. Gel manicure still held shape and shine 3 weeks out.

I absolutely loved my experience today. I got a fill in and designs that I chose and susu did an amazing job handpainting every finger. I got one of the top pedicures and the tech did an awesome job. Also had my eyebrows waxed and tinted and susu did an awesome job with that. This is definitely my new nail salon!!!!

The nail tech was extremely rough. She hurt my hands & feet while giving me my manicure and pedicure.

Lovely color selection. Good bathroom. Cerita did a great job -- quick and professional. I didnt realize I had so much cuticle 😳 but Cerita definitely did not hold back (in a good way).A small and chill dog is there sometimes which really adds to the atmosphere.

Thoroughly enjoy my experiences at Athena Nails. Susu is very attentive and personable which makes this nail salon feel homey. I have enjoyed working with Susu in a variety of ways including manicures, pedicures, and most recently microblading and powder brow. I have always craved fuller eyebrows and Susu made that dream a reality. She was attentive throughout the whole experience and thoroughly explained the process and everything she was doing. I’m so happy to have found this salon.

My first visit was good with Tony and Reecha but my second visit was totally unprofessional with Mamta as I heard she is not licensed. Recommend to get service from other staff. Need to be reported to department as I had bleeding from unprofessional and unlicensed staff.

So my review is kinda mixed. It wasn’t a horrible experience but it needs work. A major plus is the parking lot across from the salon. Spots 51-58 are for the salon. I was able to be seen quickly without an appointment around 2pm but it did get busy. The pedicure was fine but the paraffin wax was way to hot and when I told the nail tech, she didn’t really see it as a problem or do anything. She was very nice otherwise and offered me something to drink. I’m very particular about my nail shape, so I feel they could be more Square and buffed more. Also the gel polish selection is kind of limited compared to places I’ve been. All in all, an ok experience.

The manicure was good it wasn’t great but it was good. However at the end they added $20 for gel. So a regular spa pedicure cost $47 plus tip . That’s way too much for this setting. I probably won’t be back unless their gel comes down to a normal salon prices

AMAZING PERIOD. I am from California and I set the bar extremely high when it comes to my nails, and Susu, is now the only person I trust in Baltimore city to do my nails. I get my nails pretty long so that it already hard for any nail tech, and then the shape I want just makes it harder. I get fairly long coffin shaped perfections, and Susu does them effortlessly. I have showed my friends whom lived in Baltimore their whole lives and they are impressed this little place exits and can produce nails this good. They last 2-3 weeks, which is extremely long, given the length of my nails, which just proves the quality. If you’re in need of any nail care, please come here, the quality and service is unmatched.

BEST NAIL SALON IN BALTIMORE!! The owner is super sweet and accommodating. They entire staff is professional and courteous. The shop is clean, hygienic and nicely decorated. Always have the latest and best variety of colors and consistently shape my nails BEAUTIFULLY no matter who I see!!! I always get compliments on my nails EVERY TIME I GO! Luv this place!

I got my nails done at about faces canton for my wedding and they turned out so badly and weren’t what I asked for at all. I went to Athena’s the next day and she fixed them and made them so beautiful! She even took the tome to drill the other acrylics alll the way down so I didn’t have to soak off my spray tan with nail polish remover. Cannot thank them enough!!

I am visiting Baltimore for a week from Asheville, NC to celebrate the birthday of one of my dearest and oldest friends and we just had an amazing pedicure experience at Athena’s. The staff are great and I just loved the laid back atmosphere! Thank you all for making the day even more special!

The ladies were all very nice unfortunately the one that did my nails put the wrong color polish on and didn’t offer a discount or a future coupon or to fix them. She just said ohh we didn’t have the color you wanted AFTER my nails were done. Then she charged the wrong amount on my card. I’m disappointed with the service.

DO NOT EVER GET YOUR LASHES DONE HERE!!! Ever!!!!! Im a lash technician and I did one of their fixes. My client got volume lash extensions there and the fans were not properly put together and thrown on her lashes in about 15min. The amount of glue used was insane, Ive never seen anything like it!!The worst part of this whole thing was the damage that was done to my clients natural lashes. My client had gone there several times and didnt know what was right and what was wrong until one day her eyes swelled up and became red and crusty. She came to see me a few days later once her eyes were better and asked me to take the lashes off and redo them.A lash removal shouldnt take long at all, like 15-20 min. Yet I sat there for 2 hours to take the lashes off this poor girl because of how much glue was caked on. I noticed a few things that were done very very wrong. Because of the previous and continuous damage done to my clients lashes she now had GAPS where there were literally no lashes. So whoever was doing her lashes decided to just glue them onto her eye lid!!!!! HER SKIN!!! Hence why she became red and swollen.There was so much damage and so few natural lashes left I couldnt re-lash her and she had to wait weeks for her lashes to grow back before I could book her an appointment.DO YOUR SELF AND YOUR LASHES A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LASHES!!

The worst experience I ever had at a nail salon. My eyebrows are burning. The lady use the wax tape 3 times in one spot.My nail cuticle was cut and blood was dripping into the dip powder. The nail technician was rude and unprofessional due to her being embarrassed about addressing my injury several times in front of clients and colleagues!!! The manager had to complete the service. If I could give them a 0 I would. I was so livid and my eyebrow was red and swollen that I decided not to attend a birthday party!!! Beware!!!!:(

My husband and I had a great experience here on my birthday. We came in without an appointment and they set us up for pedicures. The staff was extremely professional and kind and did a great job. I think we both ad 2 glasses of wine with our pedicures! I will definitely be back.

Friendly staff, quick and affordable service. Theres a little pomeranian named Wasabi to greet you! One employee even went out of his way to find me a charger when my phone started to die. I am definitely a repeat customer!

Horrible Experience. I walked in to the spa to get my hair done for my maternity photos after I heard great reviews regarding their upstairs hair salon. I requested for a blow out and was informed the hair staff was on vacation. As I turned to leave, the store owner informed me that she had a nail tech that works up stairs often and can do my hair in 10 minutes. After 35 mins of waiting, Courtney comes and leads me upstairs to a cold work area. She was very nice and a great person thrown into a bad situation. She washed my hair and then the nightmare really begins. I watched her walk around the salon checking every single drawer for a comb, a brush, some clips, and a flat iron. This salon had no back up tools and the hair stylists took their equipment with them. I watch poor Courtney attempt to use a pen to clip my hair up in order to blow dry. I watched as she found 1 roll brush and removed the weave hair of the main stylist from the round brush to attempt to blow dry my hair. I watched her attempt to flat iron my hair with a CURLING IRON. After she pulled out a rusty curling iron and plugged it in to flat iron my hair I realized I had enough. I was charged $25 for this and the store owner was not available to talk with. MY MATERNITY PHOTOS WERE RUINED!!! This store was so set on getting a couple of $ that they chose to place this sweet girl Courtney in a really bad position and I feel absolutely bad for her as a stylist as this was not her fault. The owners should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to take place just to make a couple of extra $. I will let everyone in Canton and Fells Point know not to ever visit a place like this.

Susu the ower is awesome she can do just about any style u want, she is very accommodating and there is a great atmosphere in the salon. Free parking also.

This place is great if you have natural nails (not acrylic). Elli does a great job (nail tech), staff is friendly, prices are totally reasonable.

The staff was very nice and personal. But, my nails did not look that great. I got SNS nails and they started chipping the day after I got them done.

The lady butchered my nails. I had been growing them out for months and I asked her to keep the length and keep them round and just file the shape a little bit. after she tried to CLIP them 2 times and me reiterating what I desired, she filed the heck out of them and SQUARED THEM. im sorry but, shape is just basic knowledge. some of them are filed crooked and some of them are filed down SO short - inconsistent lengths. very disappointed. the paint job was even bad. based on this experience of an ill trained employee - I doubt she even has her license and im concerned about the overall quality of the establishment.

My French manicure lasted almost a month. They do quality work here and its very clean

Very clean and professional salon. I got a mani-pedi without an appointment and was in and out in an hour. They have a large selection of colors, especially for gel, and it was totally affordable. They even offer wine!

This place is horrible. They had my girls nails looking bulky as hell and the ombré was not ombré. The lady couldnt even fix her mistake and had my girl pay $45. Issa joke yall save yall money ‼️💯

I have gone here a few times but stopped going after terrible eyelash extensions ruined my eyelashes and I was creepily hit on while receiving a pedicure. Uncomfortable environment and certainly will not be returning.
