The apartments have potential. Its something always wrong with the water! I mean every month the water is cut off for a whole 6-8 hrs. They offer you no credits to your rent when they shut the water off! Been here for 3 years and had 3 different leasing managers already. We have to share the pool with another apartment complex and we can barely use it. At one point we couldn’t use it at all and that’s an amenity that’s included. The cleaning crew is the absolute best. I have to get my tub fixed for the third time and the assistant leasing manager told me I would have to pay! Can’t wait to move from here!
I have lived here since 2019, i have enjoyed living here. The office staff will take care of any problems that you may have. The apartment building is cleaned every day. Trash is picked up 5 times a week in front of your apartment door. You are not far from Towson Mall . My friends and family like my apartment. My family and friends said they wish they lived here. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings.
Everything except the appliances are good. For the price we pay, we should be using upgraded appliances not these old model.
Apartments themselves are nice, but I think the novelty for me has worn off.Im just not feeling it here anymore and Im regretting the choice of renewing another year. Yes, its close by to everything needed, quiet for the most part, except for occasional car alarms go off at random. Speaking of cars, some park like there are cross eyed all over place sometimes to the point where you cant get into your own car when you open the car door or come out to a ding/scratch. Ignorant much? Wish the walls were thicker in between units. I dont want to hear somebody on the toilet. But, thin walls are an apartment thing any complex you go. Secure I guess with newly added surveillance cameras. Having a guard on site was even better. Never been bothered or felt bothered likely cause I sport the look on my face most of the time, so it helps. Not a lot of people tend to mill around the door at night or anything like that either, most keep to themselves. Community inside and out kept clean for the most part. Smoke free community but you know, there always a few that have to go against the rules and stink up the place with foul funny smoke odors.Wish you can pick and choose your neighbors. Seems lately you can get away with anything around here since COVID started which is mainly why Im not feeling it here anymore and wish I had not renewed. Let someone who pays rent in time and follow the terms/rules they will put me on notice before a person who don’t follow the rules and don’t pay rent. Lately the office closes randomly on days when it’s usually open, don’t get it. Heck, I didn’t even know the office had reopened after the second COVID wave came and went. In due time, Im outta here and just hope things dont get unbearable and too annoying.
I must say many apologies for being so thankful for finally being able to live in a community that that truly takes priority pride in what is your home I am Thankful and Pray at some time in your life span You may find your Way to Peaceful livingVessie Hebron Parker
Great place to live! Great location! Staff is friendly and maintenance top notch. Clean community and nice neighbors. would recommend this community without hesitation.
How do you have the audacity to tow a car of a handicap because your lot is so full I have to park outside of the complex parking lot that’s as ignorant as it gets
This is a great place to live....if you don’t like to have water. In the 6100 building there are more water problems than people that live in here. It’s been two years with playing these water games. Now I don’t know how the 1700 & the 6201 buildings are but just want to post a real review for anybody looking to move in.
This is a place I love living at. The maintenance crew is very nice and efficient. The security is really good (granted there are the few residents hold the doors or prop it open) never had a problem with neighbors or anything else. I would highly recommend it.
When I first moved here with my Significant other things were a dream here. The price per month was the best in the area, things were clean, everything was addressed with a sense of urgency. At the time, financially - This was the best thing for me because I was finishing college and looking for a career. Fast forward; finished college and Ive placed myself in a position of greater stability but this place just isnt meant to be or feel nice. I guess if youre wondering what youll get from The Metropolitan - Youll get what you pay for. When you enter the leasing office youll see bright walls, wood floors, no paint peeling or issues. When you walk through the halls the ceiling trims are hanging off - In the apartment you have paint peeling from the walls due to the paint being layered and not properly repainted the correct way. You will have paint patches just fall right off the wall. In the corners of the wall theres literally humps of plaster or putty or paint buildup - So, god forbid you try to paint to make it look nicer and it will just look horrible. When it gets really hot the AC will stop working because it will overheat if its too hot. If you enjoy taking showers and using your tap water - Its basically a 50/50 shot whether the water will work or not wen you wake up and if it does; probably be brown for a few minutes. Its 2019 and te apartments still have popcorn ceilings - The carpet will turn color and get dirty really fast so the likelihood of having issues with security deposit is really high. They use flat paint all over the apartment; not eggshell - So, when you move out get written verification that the walls and carpet are okay; well before you move out. If you have an issue within your apartment - It will typically take a long time to get done and if they dont know what to do theyll put a band aid over it and it will come back again. Left molded carpet in my apartment for a full week, holes in walls, AC not working when it needed the most.Look, Im not on here to slander the apartment or deface them but when I first moved in I loved this place 3 years ago and had no issues. But now, after my life has changed a bit and Ive had issue after issue - I literally come home everyday depressed that I re-signed a lease here when I was considering to move out because of the issues I was having at the time but being younger and not being prepared in advance to look and not knowing if theyd give security deposit back or not put me in a position to force myself to re-sign.If youre young and in college- This is a great place to split with two people and save money. If youre saving up for your first home (Like me) and you dont want to go too bad but want something semi ok. This is a descent optionBut if youre in a career and youre able to go out and find something nicer - Dont look at the money and whats offered to think that this is a great option. I have nothing in my apartment because the carpet is ugly and hard to design ( I said Id pay for my own flooring to replace it and they could make this a model and change other apartments upon request and pay and they said no) The paint on the walls peel, the new renovations on their website barely exist in any of the apartments. Leasing office says it closes at 5 and you go to them at 4:45 and theyre closed. For whatever reason, the property management fell off and its like they dont even care anymore.Again, when I first moved in it was magical and theyre taking a property with tons of potential and potential growth if they placed down wood floors and block sanded the walls in the apartment to fix the perfections, change the outlets and light switches to pure white. The place would transform but its very basic and it seems that they cant get things right and itsI would recommend this apartment to some and honestly they should make one full building college housing for Morgan University and have the shuttle come hereHope everything gets fixed but I wont be re-signing my lease again.
Very disappointing customer service from the leasing office. Every time I spoke with someone, they gave conflicting information about applying and leasing. Would not recommend.
By far, the worst place I have ever lived. I am grateful to God that your incompetence has finally caught up to You. I now have my attorney and Maryland State Law, on my side. I was told that I dont need an attorney to be honest because this is an open and shut case, according to both. To those seeking a safe, relaxing, quiet, enjoyable and private place to live, run by people with morals and integrity...DO NOT MOVE HERE OR ANY PROPERTY OWNED BY ALLEN AND ROCKS. These people are deceitful, dishonest and despicable. They also have a history of keeping peoples security deposits for illegal reasons...check the BBB Reviews! Actually, a few of my former neighbors, have been having the same issue. I am looking forward to my day in court...its long overdue and so am I. We all, are :)...I know youll delete this post, like the last...Ill be back.
I have lived here for over a year, if you would like to live with no water, smell murijuana all over the place, and have no security in Baltimore, this would be a great deal. Otherside, I encourag you to find another place. People here do not do their work efficiently, the security guards work as they wish! If you want to complain and the office is closed you gotta figure it out yourself. I lived here for a great amount of time and this week I got 3 noise complains for just walking in my apartment, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything. I never complained about anything but this week they want to kick me out of my apartment for false complains and even when I asked the person if they can hear anything from my apartment, the person said( no but Im doing my job). The property manger is always in a meeting and cant meet anyone, her assistant always say (I cant do anything, I must contact her and will get back to you, while they barely do) the person who tow the cars keep staring at people’s balconies ( no privacy) Also be ready to hear cars alarms all day ( that’s normal here and no one would do anything because they dont know the owner, however, they can tow the car but for some reason they dont) this could happen all night and no one would do anything for this. Every morning the water pressure is very low and you can barely use it, sometimes they have to work on it for days and we cant use the water. Also, people party here starts from Thursday to Sunday, and you cant complain cause no one would hear you! After I got my 3rd complain They person who lives under my apartment was nocking the floor with a stick or something and when I went to complain no one respond to the phone and the security guard at the gate went to get drinks I guess cause I went there in 4 different times but no one was there.Be ready to deal with mean and dishonest people. They filed me the first noise complain and I left my apartment for 2 days but when I got back I found the second and last warning attached to my door, even tho I wasnt in my apartment that day! And they said they will contact their attorney about the case if I didnt keep it down, I decided to leave my apartment for another day, and got back at 10 pm I was super tired and I went to bed but after 30 minutes someone was nocking my door telling me to keep it down????!!!!!!! ( I was going to sleep how can I keep it down more??? They said we hear banging and pounding? Seriously? Why would I do that at night and what is the purpose of doing that? Im not trying to create any problems and I kept it down for over a year! I really cant fly, idk how we are suppose to walk in these apartments!!Anyway, they want you to fly, live with all the loud noises and crazy neighbors, with no water, no security in Baltimore, smell of marijuana 24hrs and in the end they will kick you out with no money back. Avoid it at any cost!!
I recently transferred from one building to another. I wish I would have stayed in the building I was in. Things are a little different. This is more of a party building.
Very great place to live
