Excellent place to live in downtown Baltimore. Very friendly staff. Id like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Jillian Hudson for having been so responsive, helpful and accommodating. Its also a privilege dealing with the facility manager, Ms. Starr Pope. She is very kind and generous. I highly recommend living here.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you to Jeri, the APM at The 501 for always providing excellent customer service and going above and beyond to make my residency here worthwhile. From the rapport that she’s built with my roommate and I since when we first moved here in 2019 until now. This was our first apartment and I can truly say it was a great choice.

My wife is upset that her brand new car was damaged by the parking garage gate. We have tried reaching out numerous times to many people, only to have no response. The gate should never close with any object in the way. When the car pulls out, many of us can not just pull out into traffic until it’s clear. Even though 3/4 of the car is out, the car is not completely out and the gate should not close. No garage should ever close with anything in the way. What if it was a human? Better for a car now, than a human later.

Although, I lived at the 501 for less than a month, I found it very safe, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Most of all, the staff was available when I needed them and it was very near almost anything I needed i.e. grocery store, fast food, liquor, site seeing, etc. I would recommend it to singles especially college types as prices are affordable.

I have lived at The 501 for almost two years now and have enjoyed the whole experience. I was recently able to go to an event they put together at Fogo de Chao and it was amazing. The few work orders I have had to put in to maintenance were always handled right away. The location is perfect, as it is in the heart of everything. I highly recommend The 501 to anyone looking for a city apartment that has the amenities like parking, wifi, and fitness as well.

Great price in the Baltimore area. A very secure building in a transitioning neighborhood. All in one package with utilities, internet, and rent. Jeri helped me with my application and lease and was amazing.

I lived at The 501 in a studio for 3 years and 4 months and I saw the building go through many changes. I saw the most difficulty through the leasing staff. In the beginning, I think leasing staff were very defensive about tenants coming to them with issues but they still did their best to handle problems. Wen I moved in, the building was really diverse with a lot of young professionals and students. Now, there are older/senior individuals living there. During my time at The 501, I never had an issue with feeling unsafe or an issue with a club being across the street. There are homeless people that hang around the intersection but they do not bother anyone. I only had one maintenance issue dealing with the shower and it was fixed the very next morning. The only thing I absolutely did not like is laundry room process. If there is an issue with the laundry machine it is the tenants responsibility to call the machine company to have them fix it. I think the leasing office should handle this. They would be better able to keep a record of issues with the machines and when the company comes to fix it. The move out process was easy and simple. I received my deposit back extremely fast. I think that this is a great place for young professionals and graduate students. Overall, my stay at The 501 was great!

Ive been especially pleased with the maintenance team (in particular, Stephan). Ive had very few problems, but when something happens, theyre quick to respond, do a good job fixing whats needed, and theyre nice people. I definitely recommend anyone interested in The 501 to come check it out. The staff are a great bunch of people.

My boyfriend and I have been here for a little over three months now. We love being within close proximity to campus and the Gallery mall. The entire staff is professional and friendly. We were able to get an updated studio within our budget. I would definitely recommend this community! Its a great place to call home.

I took a tour of The 501 and was THOROUGHLY impressed. This place is beautiful! Before viewing the apartment, I called several times and each staff member that I spoke with was helpful and very friendly. The only problem was that the studio apartment was too small to accommodate my needs. I later spoke with a leasing agent to inquire about a larger apartment, however, the larger apartments were a tad out of my price range. Location is prime and the space makes you feel like you are home. Welcoming and warm!

Just moved in. Awesome place to live. Modern rooms, and well maintained lounge and gym. The staff is super friendly and approachable. You wont find a better place to live for such an affordable price. (I will say that the free wifi doesnt really seem to reach past the first floor, but I think its fair to expect to pay your own internet bill)

I recently moved into The 501 and I must say it is a beautiful community. My apartment has stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The Assistant Property Manager, Jeri has been absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived she assisted me in finding the perfect home.

The 501 apartments are a great place to live for a young professional, with their modern updated apartments and friendly helpful staff. 24 hour security and underground parking were a big selling points for me. I really enjoyed the fun funky style of the building and the common spaces like the court yard and business center. The staff were always available for any questions and I had zero issues during my 1 year lease. Highly recommend this place!

Still waiting on my deposit to be refunded. I applied to their studio after I was told the model unit on their 3D virual tour was exactly the same model as a soon-to-be available unit. After applying, I learned the studio I applied to doesnt even have an oven. It doesnt face the courtyard as it said on their listing, and it is much smaller in size, among many other differences. So I requested to have my deposit returned, and even though I asked for my refund within 72 hours of applying, which is their policy, theyre still unwilling to give me back my money because they dont feel I have a good enough reason to cancel on them. Im glad I didnt move in, BEWARE!

My biggest problem with this place is just simply having a guest. People literally have to come down and meet their guest anytime they want someone over. Thats annoying as hell. There is no call buttons. No direct line to security where you can call and just say, yeah send them up nothing. Like every other building system is not this complicated. Then you have magnetic keys. So you can have the technology to have magnetic Keys but not a call box or a simple system to not have to go from the fourth floor all the way downstairs. Yes I am lazy, I am supposed to be home. Feels like back in college, when you had to check your friend into the dormitory.

I have lived at the 501 for close to 2 years and I have had a great experience. The Leasing Office and maintenance teams are extremely helpful and responsive. The thing I like the most is everything is walking distance or a short uber ride. I have been thoroughly satisfied with living at the 501 and I recommend the community to my friends.

Lived at The 501 for a 1 year lease and would have extended it further if I wasnt moving away for work. Never had any issues from the day I moved in until the day I moved out. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always available for anything I needed. Would highly recommend The 501 to any of my friends and family.

I enjoyed my stay here. Nice building, wonderful staff & residents. If things dont get better where I am now I move back to The 501 ASAP

STAY AWAY! THIS IS A SCAM! This place is fraudulent. These are shady AF people who take your application fee with no intention of renting you an apartment. They took me on a tour, should me multiple apartments and said they were available for my move in date. Then had me apply with a deposit and never got back to me. I called, emailed and went in person. They never acknowledged me or gave me a response. They stole my deposit with no intention of renting me an apartment. The management staff is horrible, do not apply here. Why is there no option for zero stars.

When I first moved into the 501 it was excellent, the management was acceptable and was quick to fix any situation that might arise. After the change of management things began to go down hill. I was locked out of my apartment on three different occasions, the first time the security guard was not able to get me in and called the manager and she indicated that someone would be over when they could. It took someone over 3 hours to get me into my apartment. occasionally, the old assistant property manager wold park in my spot and would be nowhere to find to move her car, I would have to park in a different spot. Then she had told the security guard to let me know that she could not move it because it was not working and was unable to move. I informed that property manager and the property manager supervisor of the incident, it did not make any sense since people are paying for their parking spot.Additionally, it was stated that internet/wifi and garbage was included but then they sent a memo that we would be paying for those things, when in our contract it already states that those are included in the bill. Also there has been instances of roaches in the hallways, Ive seen two, but that might be due to how some tenants keep there abode . However, the apartments are nice and modern, and the overall people within the building are nice and friendly. There just needs to be better communication between tenants and management. If it was not for my experiences it would receive a 3 but due to my experiences it gets a 2.

The building looks pretty from the outside, but inside its a whole different story. The property management allegedly offers free wifi internet, but dont be fooled. It doesnt work. As if that were not bad enough, you dont have the option to install your own internet service because the building is not equipped for it, they say. The building was also built using very cheap materials. Its literally falling apart. There are roaches in the building. It smells like weed all the time even though its a non-smoking building. Some tenants are so lazy they do not throw their garbage down the chute and just leave it in the garbage room to attract pests. At the start of every month, dozens of eviction notices are posted by the mailboxes. Outside, homeless men harass you for money. Theres a nightclub in front that has fights every other night or drunk drivers crashing into one another. Im so glad I no longer live here.

Brand new apartments. Amazing and helpful staff - from the property manager to the security personnel everyone has been amazing so far.
