I have lived here for 6 months and have enjoyed every second! This is my first time living in an apartment for some years and the transition from house living has been seamless. Due to the pandemic I was forced to move back to Maryland from Minnesota and looked at places all over the city to find this gem. It is quiet (aside from normal city noises of course), there is easy access to literally everything even as a person who does not have a car. Most importantly, the leasing staff has made every step of the way painless for me. They are all super polite, quick to solve any issues (which I havent had many to be honest) and it is nice to know that during my personal transition, always there if I need anything at all, ranging from mait issues to just general information regarding the area, things to do, directions etc. Highly recommend to anyone looking for perfect city living with a friendly staff.
This is truly the best apartment building in the city (and believe me, I’ve looked at or lived in them all!) 500 Park is safe and clean, the amenities are SO nice to have, and everyone is so friendly here, it’s so easy to make friends if you’re new to the city! The quality of apartment you get (chic modern style, thoughtful floorplans, excellent soundproofing between walls makes it so quiet I often forget I have neighbors, high quality appliances and features, neighbors are professional/respectful, insanely responsive and hard-working maintenance team and most importantly, secure parking on-site) in such a prime location (same block as the Marketplace, a quick walk to the other shops/bars/restaurants/parks/museums of Mt. Vernon and the harbor; and a quick Uber/lightrail/etc to anywhere else in the city) is absolutely unbeatable. I’ve never had a single complaint about living here; and I’ve never been shy to break a lease and move if I’m not happy with where I live!I moved to Baltimore from out of state and originally moved in when this building first opened. I moved out of state again after a year, and when I came back to Baltimore I tried living elsewhere to see how I liked other parts of the city. I ended up moving from place to place, because they all left me feeling dissatisfied for one reason or another. I eventually decided to see about moving back to 500 Park since I had such a great experience living here originally, and I’ve truly never been happier! This building runs like a well-oiled machine, you can absolutely tell how hard Heather and the rest of the team all work to keep this such a wonderful place to call home. I’m so glad to be living here again, and I’m confident I’ll continue to do so as long as I live in Baltimore!
I enjoyed living here. Really great looking building, friendly and attentive staff, the amenities are really cool also. If I could pick up the building and move it with me to Virginia I totally would. Sorry to leave this place but I highly recommended. I mean it’s a new building, in a great location and awesome very helpful people at the leasing office. I have not encountered one single serious problem during my one-year stay. Maintenance orders are taken care of very quickly and effectively.
New building, great location, friendly staff — I have enjoyed living at 500 Park New and comfortable units, great location in Mount Vernon, and awesome very helpful people at the leasing office. I have not encountered one single serious problem during my one-year stay. Maintenance orders are taken care of very quickly and effectively.
I was interested in one of the available apartment plans so left a message and called the number provided about 5 times so I could start a rental application. Everytime I was told that a leasing agent would be in contact but no one ever did. Today when I called again, Meghan answered and told me that the apartment I was interested in, is not available anymore as of yesterday. I asked her if she could raise my concern as I wasted so many days trying to get in touch with someone and her reply was Can I help you with something else?. Honestly the building seems nice online and I was excited to move in if someone would have bothered to help me.
So, I love my apartment- great location, and beautiful building. The ladies in the leasing office (Heather and Brittany) are amazing- professional and personable. Bryan in maintenance quickly and effectively takes care of requests and always has a smile to share. However, now that my leasing renewal paperwork has arrived and Im looking at an increase in rent once Baltimore City s Rent Increase Protection Act expires, Im wondering if I should move on. The gentleman in the back of the leasing office took a maintenance request over the phone for me, and never actually put it into the system which resulted in an additional week without a kitchen appliance. He never even followed up to apologize. This same gentleman refused me a temporary parking pass for my handicapped mom to visit for a few hours despite the fact that the parking lot (which I pay $110 for in ADDITION to monthly rent) has no less than 4 completely empty handicapped parking spaces open right now, and pretty much always. While I understand guest parking doesnt exist here, sometimes you have to work with people and make tenants feel like more than a dollar sign. Maybe its my PA roots, but at this price point, Id expect better.
Heather, Deron, and Brittany have all done an outstanding job making our unit more serviceable and enjoyable. They all even go that extra mile in responsibly dealing with, assisting, and even door-delivery packages. Put simply, your staff is GREAT and we are even more happy that we chose 500 Park.
Unprofessional upper management. There is a reason tenant turnover is so high. This place was a nightmare, you couldn’t pay me to live there. Download the app Citizen to see all the crime that happens in the area on a daily basis. You can live in a much better area for cheaper.
I saw some negative review here and since I was one of the first people to move in to the building myself I wanted to address them. They did have mail shipped elsewhere (then gave us all a huge credit of $500 to correct the problem) the Fire alarm has gone off a few times due to idling cars for long periods of time in the garage and setting off the detectors due to the carbon. In my experience, it is always better to be safer rather than sorry with these things. It was a new building and construction was still being completed on the levels above but like with anything new you HAVE to work out the kinks. They are always responsible, quick to accept things might not be working ideally and then try to correct the issue. That goes a long way for me because it is impossible to impose perfect standards. In my experience, and I have lived in numerous places in Baltimore city - this is one of the best since they are accepting and do not just push aside your requests and concerns so living here has become more enjoyable as time has gone on.I have lived in this building since 2017 and I can honestly say one of the main reasons I continue to live here is because of the Apartment staff. All of the managers, maintenance workers, cleaners... everyone is always so professional, helpful and kind. One of the main managers, Josh, always goes above and beyond to help me track down my packages (to no fault of the building, but sometimes the UPS workers do drop my items off at the Yoga studio next door or the 520 Park building) and I am always confident they have my back. He will hosts yoga for us in the summer on the pool deck and is always so involved in making sure our little community is happy and safe. The building, pool and gym are always clean and tidy and its nice to have good neighbors as well. Will continue to renew my lease!
RENTER BEWARE, management team just wants to screw you out of money.I wouldn’t even recommend this place to someone I hated.
Loved living at 500 Park! Everyone was great to work with, especially the leasing office folks. They also have the best maintenance team Ive ever experienced.
The property is brand new and looks amazing. This is a vibrant community in the heart of Mount Vernon and is everything that I was looking for. Management goes above and beyond to make this a place to call home, and the maintenance team is top notch--they are honestly one of the highlights of 500 Park. This would be the first place Id recommend to anyone thinking of moving to Mount Vernon.
Josh who works in the office is very friendly and nice. He cares about the residents and workers. Also, he tries hard to make things work. The management here is really good.
Every issue Ive had since moving in has been addressed promptly and effectively. Even a new building can have its quirks, but someone is always there to address them as they arise. Ive been very happy with my experience here so far.
I love living at 500 Park for a number of reasons! The contemporary architecture lends itself to my minimalist but chic style. The proximity of the apartments to my job and to local downtown hotspots makes it convenient for my work and personal life. In addition, security is reliable which is a blessing in downtown Baltimore. Not to mention, as a foodie, I live next to my favorite coffee roasters and above Mt Vernon Marketplace... enough said
I recently moved to 500 Park Avenue apartments. So far I am loving the place and the area. The building is brand new and in fact it is still under construction but you would never know unless you go outside and see the work happening. The apartments have been very tastefully done with hard wood flooring and carpeted bedrooms, stainless steal appliances and plenty of cabinet and closet space. The staff has been remarkable specifically Rebecca Nolan in leasing. She has been very fundamental, revelatory, and swift in the whole leasing process. Also the property is in a great area near great restaurants and bars and a 20-minute walk to the Inner Harbor. I am very satisfied with everything and am very excited about living here for years to come. I highly recommend this location to anyone moving to the downtown Baltimore area.
Good afternoon all,I will start by saying that I loved living at 500 park avenue. I stuck with their claims through the first year that the fire alarm system would get fixed. Here I am, in the second year, and we have had two false alarms on the same day on a Saturday of all days.I am less than pleased that the fire alarm problems have continued. It happens in the winter, without warning and they have yet to diagnose the true problem.
I moved into this brand new property just a few weeks ago, and I have no regrets whatsoever. Its a truly beautiful complex and the staff has been incredibly responsive and helpful! Mount Vernon is also a fantastic place to live with plenty of colorful restaurants, museums, taverns, and cafes right within walking distance. I would recommend also checking out the Mount Vernon Marketplace next door for great happy hours, food variety, and game nights.
I love living in 500 Park! The building is always clean and well kept, the residents and management are friendly, and I always feel safe and cared about as a resident.
500 Park represented a great value in a revitalizing neighborhood with immediate vicinity to a coffee shop and the Mt Vernon Marketplace. The rest of the immediate area definitely could use improvement but with the recent apartment influx, development is all but assured. The building construction is solid with quality counters, cabinets and appliances. Space is generous and is a value steal. While, as expected, there were hiccups in moving into a new building while it was under construction, the management office was very responsive. Very happy to live here!
I have lived here for about a year and love it. Great building, services, and staff.
There is a secret at 500 Park Avenue. Read on. It is no secret that these new apartments are clean, modern yet cozy. You’ll find everything you need with a surprising amount of space and storage. When you come to visit (no need to look elsewhere, I did that for you), youll see our gorgeous pool and brand new pool table. There’s plenty more but you’ll see. Events in our 500 community abound. The best food and coffee in the area is right next door and across the street. So the secret? Our 500 Park Ave Team. Quite simply, their friendliness, responsiveness and professionalism turn these apartments into homes. Becky runs the place like a ship. Her thoughtful communication, attention to detail and personal demand for a high level of service is evident everywhere. Sierra is our community’s secret weapon. Everyone needs a Sierra. Have a question, request or concern? Sierra is there for you. I’m convinced she knows everything about everything. Send her an email? She responds almost instantly. She is organized, efficient, energetic and will consistently surprise you by knowing what you need before you do. And then there are John, Chris and Justin. These guys know what they’re doing and take pride in keeping 500 Park Ave at its finest. Trustworthy and friendly as heck, they’re also often ahead of the curve both inside and out of our building. Beware. If you put a work order in, youll probably get a knock on the door within minutes. We have bragging rights here for having the best and most responsive maintenance team in the state. (Id say the world but it would go to their heads.)So to be honest, 500 Park Ave doesnt not really have a secret. We have Becky, Sierra, John, Chris and Justin. Home.
I love 500 Park! I was previously in an apartment with a horrific and unresponsive landlord. When I went to move about a year ago, I was looking for an apartment with a responsive and friendly management team, and thats exactly what Ive found at 500 Park!
Update 2/20/2019: After waiting from 9:00AM until 4:00PM Karen Kasindorf Houston from WPM decided to give me a call. Instead of simply stating she is sorry for WPM harassment she stated that I need to talk to their attorney. This is my second time being in contact with Miss Houston both times I wanted to bang my head into a desk from her stupidity. As stated by other reviews WPM management has forgotten that they work for the RESIDENTS and not WPM. They are arrogant and bullies but I will not let them bully my family and I.So where to begin... I was one of the first residents to move into this building. Our apartment literally flooded three times from rain water and we are not on a ground floor. After the third time they finally installed the rain overflow system. They did not properly complete the USPS building registry which causes mail to get redirected to a 500 Park in Townson (not just us but all residents). Fast forward to this week and the new assistant building manager Michael Celmer and Karen decide they will start having an issue with my wife and I because we have a 4 year old daughter. During summer they allow residents from 520 to use our pool without checking IDs or pool passes. This resulted in a 500 Park resident being robbed because someone entered the building by following 520 residents into our building under the assumption they were also going to the pool and of course they were not identified and a later video record shows this person walking up and down the halls looking for unlocked units (eventually finding one). This place is sinking fast. I went to tour other apartments and seen several of our neighbors also touring because no one wants to stay here. WPM managment are arrogant bullies. Please be critical of the 5 star reviews as residents have been asked to rate them good by WPM staff.
I looked at a large number of apartments in Mt. Vernon, Federal Hill, Hampden, and Canton. I saw 500 Park Ave first and should have stopped there. The first thing I noticed was the facility itself. Very modern and very clean (and its been clean over the whole month and a half Ive been here). The second thing is the leasing office and personnel. I have had terrible experiences with leasing personnel in the past, but I have been so blown away by WPM and their employees who work at 500 Park Ave (sidenote: every apartment I saw run by WPM had amazing leasing agents). Josh and Sierra are always friendly and checking in on how things are going. It really creates a better, more friendly community when the leasing office is so cordial. Speaking of the community, I havent been fortunate to take part in the social events the complex puts on, but everyone Ive interacted with is friendly and respectful; mostly young professionals like myself. I have no complaints about my apartment itself. Some of the quietest apartments in the area (considering it is a busy area). Good quality windows that block noise and temperature. Everything is new and average to above average quality. The few issues Ive had (like every new apartment) were promptly fixed. The lobby has free coffee, pinball, a cool little retro video game machine, and a slightly compact gym that has everything you need and is rarely occupied. There have been some issues with fire alarms going off because of people idling their cars in the underground garage, but they are working on resolving them and have sent many e-mail updates along the way. The area is quite safe, particularly during the day. Just know where to walk and where not to (Josh or Sierra could probably let you know). The vast majority of Mt. Vernon is safe. Selling points also include the Mt. Vernon Marketplace two doors down; an amazing Italian place across the street thats open late on weekends; lots of great cafes, bars, and restaurants; and an easy walk to Power Plant Live, Inner Harbor, etc. There is no guest parking, but there is some free street parking on weekends, a reasonable lot across the street, and a garage near Franklin and Monument that is fairly reasonable ($10-12/day) and very secure. I can honestly say that this is the best apartment experience Ive ever had. I feel very fortunate to live here, and lucky that I was able to take advantage of some of their amazing recent deals.
Every other day the fire alarm is going off and it is LOUD!!!! It goes off at the best times, middle of the night, earlier mornings, weekends. Matter of fact, one JUST went off now! That’s why I’m writing this review. I don’t think these other reviews are being accurate. Yeah it’s an okay place to stay. But you can get robbed outside like anywhere else downtown, this area is NOT some prestigious Mecca. They recently had to upgrade the parking garage gate from see-through (I don’t know why they would get such a gate downtown anyways) to a solid one to stop the break-ins. People’s bikes were being stolen, a silly girl left her purse in the back seat and got her whole car stolen. Several cars in the parking lot (both from 500 and 520) had the windshields SMASHED to pieces, so they can have whatever of value in the back seat. All crimes reported are public information. This is not a safe area. Mount Vernon is NOT a safe area, it’s just the same as downtown, I still see homeless people digging through the trash outside! People walk up to your car in the parking lot outside begging you for money, and they are looking through them late at night. Yesterday, a homeless man was sleeping across the street at one of the many ABANDONED BUILDINGS in this area. I moved to this area because I thought is was safe. The percent of crimes maybe slightly lower but it still happens and it happens here. I read a review where a tenant said “how secure the parking lot was.” How? You read what I just wrote above, so what parking lot is he talking about???!!! The outside parking lot isn’t even finished???!!! It doesn’t go all the way around, any and everyone just walks through. Total BS. It’s not all bad living here, no, but it’s not a perfect 5 star place either. You have your good and bad like any place else. The other reviewers have mentioned the good already, so I’ll mention the bad. The apartments are SMALL, no really it’s tiny. And if you track the rent online the prices keep going up, as if they weren’t high already (not if you signed the lease already). It’s a smoke free building but people smoke, even the people that WORK HERE SMOKE!!! There is no security lock in the apartments, they can access your place ANYTIME WITHOUT NOTICE. That’s what they wrote in the BS email, telling you if they suspect you of smoking, they can enter your apartments. Because the rent is so high and they have so many vacancies, they are getting desperate and putting anyone in the building. Several times you’ll see a DIRTY MATTRESS laying in the parking lot. And all kinds of foolishness. One elevator is broken every other week. And like I said the apartment is surrounded by abandoned buildings in the rear. Look, I’m not telling you not to move here. I picked these apartments after looking at dozens of others and thought they were the best option for me. BUT, they are NOT “the best”. And had I seen HONEST REVIEWS where tenants aren’t being BRIBED with BASEBALL TICKETS. I may have made other decisions. Usually there is mix of reviews no matter how great the place is because no apartment is perfect. But if you can’t even get an honest option, how will you know for sure if you are making the best decision for you. When I first moved here the alarms went off all the time because of a battery issue with the main alarm in the building, I think. But now it’s just inconsiderate people using auto start on their car, and the carbon monoxide detector is too sensitive. I wish there was a probation period with apartments like a job, try it out for 30 days before you decide. But no, you’re stuck here and if you want to break your lease it’s 2 months notice followed by a fee of 2 months rent. This was my honest review of 500 Park Apartments. Good luck hunting.PS I forgot, the building shakes, the windows are drafty. My light bill is 3x higher than my last place which was twice as big. The trains also start honking the horns at 4am. SMH.
Nice building!
Niiiiiiiiiice !!!!
