I just moved in on Friday and so far I love it! Military friendly, location is super convenient because everything is in walking distance, and the staff has been very helpful and gone the extra mile, especially Cindi!

Terrible place to live! 1.) I was charged extra $100 for upgraded appliances which I later realized basically included just painting the cabinets blacks. 2.) my apartment flooded. 3.)The location outside the building is terrible. Its ridiculously loud. You constantly hear sirens, ambulances & alarms. 4.)There are always shady people wandering around the area at night. 5.) The amenities are terrible. There is ONE gym for three different apartment buildings, and that one gym has ONE treadmill and barely any other equipment. 6.)The manager is extraordinarily nasty. When I was moving out, he was so nasty and rude about the using the loading dock. Many people have complained about him. 7.)There is LEAD in the walls FYI. It appears cheap and affordable, but when you add parking fees( >$100) the consideration for the not so great location, the poor amenities, the nasty manager, the LOUD noise environment, the rent is completely OVERPRICED. DONT LIVE THERE! It is not worth it! 8.)And I forgot to mention that when I lived there, random staff members would come into my apartment frequently. I would come home and be able to tell that someone had been in my apartment. One of my neighbors even told me they found my door opened one day and I was not there! I confronted one of the staff members about this and they made up some nonsense about needing to check something and blah blah. It was miserable living there. And the managers name is Steve!

Living in this community has been nothing but a wonderful experience. The apartments are huge and mine had brand new carpeting, updated cabinets and appliances, and a fresh coat of paint.I am within walking distances of school, work, all my doctors, shopping, and dining. Very convenient for someone who doesn’t have a car. The building is very secure with front desk staff during the day and no entry at all to the building without a key fob after the front office staff has left.I haven’t had any major maintenance requests but for anything small I’ve needed, like changing a lightbulb 16 feet high, they’ve come within 24 hours of putting in my maintenance request, often within the hour.Packages are delivered straight to my door by staff if the delivery person fails to do so.Finally, the property manager Steve, and Jasmine and Cyndi, who also work with in the building under the management company, are absolutely terrific. They provided utmost support when I was going through a personal crisis and truly made this “apartment building” feel like a home. They bent over backwards to make me happy and comfortable. Truly going above and beyond. I will undoubtedly be resigning my lease here for as long as I am a renter in Baltimore City.

Weve lived here for three years and have previously had great experiences with the staff. However, this summer a lot has gone downhill. Our A/C broke (not the fault of the building) but to fix it, they took our front closet and provided neither a reasonable alternative storage (open space in the basement that is accessible to anyone living here was our option to store towels and dog food that we use every day) OR prorated our rent to reflect the space that we are no longer able to use. Then, shortly after the new A/C installation, our ceiling started leaking. The building sent maintenance to replace the part. They used a dehumidifier to dry out the giant water stain before painting over it. They showed me a picture to show no standing water to prove to me it wasnt damp enough to grow mold (rather than sending someone who assess the structural integrity and risk after major leakage.) Now, again our ceiling is dripping (through the lighting fixture no less (that they had yet to fix/reinstall and ensure safety since the last leak)). When maintenance wasnt sure what was wrong (again - not this guys fault, hes not an A/C tech!), they left a giant fan blowing at the ceiling with no follow up that day. Needless to say, its been great living with the constant noise of an industrial fan feet away. Oh, and our ceiling is STILL dripping through a lighting fixture with (Im assuming) live electric. I feel for these maintenance guys, because the building and Southern Management is not sending the people they need to and Im sure some of my frustration is coming out on them (Im sorry!) At this point itd be great if they would cover the $200 Ikea closet to replace the space, and send in someone A/C certified to make up for the month of apartment hell weve been living. Though I highly doubt that will happen. The image below was a day after the initial leak.

Do not come here. You feel like living in the street, because of the terrible noise isolation of this old building with huge windows.

Giving up a home to live in an apartment was huge. Especially, a one bedroom. I work at University of Maryland, use their library and dont drive. The accessibility is perfect. The leasing staff is phenomenal and supportive when you have challenges with anything. The maintenance staff is impeccable. Their response time to any request of service has always been 24 hours or less. The building is kept clean and maintained. It is an older building so, my unit and some things are not as updated but it is still home. The rent is decent for the area. I have an end unit apartment which can be cold and noisy because I am by an alleyway and parking lot, so I manage.Overall, my experience at Redwood Apartments is pretty good. Kecia Curtis, assistant leasing manager is BOMB. She communicates their needs, hears yours, troubleshoots, addresses, and really, uses excellent customer service to serve your needs. I SAY REDWOOD DESERVES A CHANCE for your residential needs. :)

Living here has been amazing! You can’t go wrong with choosing Marlboro Classics apartments, and their sky high ceiling. It’s like living in a New York loft, but for way less and in a friendlier city.I chose to live here four years ago and I continue to live here without a problem. If you are a student, looking for a safe place to call home home and that’s close to your school then do yourself a favor and look no further!

This place is a joke!!! Way to much noise!!! Ambulance 🚑 firefighters and trucks and bums and drug addictes and homeless people and drugs and helicopters 🚁 flying back and forth from hospital and clubs not to mention the suppose to be safety of the building people sleeping in the lobby out side the front entrance the elevator old and is in very bad need of a upgrade and you have to take the stairs! the mail boxes are old and raggedy and they leave all the packages 📦 in a mess for numbs can walk right in and take your package!! now I can’t even say the appointment was nice it was old and we had no other choice to take it until the opening of a place we had to wait to move in so we signed a month to month lease and gave a deposit of $1700 and had to endure having a gym up above us !!! It was horrible bathroom was so old they had funny looking shower doors the windows were so old we was afraid to even try to pry them open for fear of them falling out and not to mention how all the neighbors smoke weed pot marijuana There wasn’t one day we didn’t smell it in our apartment or the hall way!! They put you in a position to where you have to buy a parking spot!! The parking spot was bad too they though a guy in that little outhouse of a building park my car you crazy!! So we moved out and to my surprise they had keep our names as tho we were stilling paying and staying at the place which we were not then we checked our credit after staying in a hotel for two months prior to us moving out Lord and behold they had sent us papers we never got talking bout for us to come to court!! So it’s been pure hell from that point on nobody will rent to us because of this place !! Nightmare on elm street!! So PLEASE if you need a place really bad just got check in a nice weekly hotel until you can fine what you want!! And they are cheaper!!!

I lived here for 4 years while I went to school and I was extremely satisfied with the management and the building itself. Each apartment is different and unique. I lived in one of the larger 1 bedrooms with my cousin and we loved it! The apartments were updated and renovated. The high ceilings are a plus. We also had a door that opened into the courtyard area which was a nice touch. Very quiet apartment away from street noise. Prices are very adequate for what you are getting compared to other apartments in the area. The location is also very central and close to many of the professional school, restaurants, gym, library, and highway. It is a block away from Camden Yards which is cool! Also about 10 minute walk to the harbor.Everyone is management was always very friendly, sweet, and accommodating. They always greet you as you come and go in the building. If you have any issues with anything, they address it right away. When we had any problems in the apartment, the technicians would come immediately within the hour or by the end of the day. Housekeeping cleans the entire building every weekday. They also have a lot of resident events every month, such as Christmas parties, breakfast on the go, and trips to the beach or NYC.I live in NYC now and wish I could have transported this entire building and management with me. You will be extremely happy and at ease living here! Highly recommended!!!

Worst place to live. Nice apartments though. Management sucks. they charged me an extra 1200.00 After my lease was up because I didn’t notify them that I didn’t want a month to month lease. They knew I was moving out but because I didn’t give a 30 day written notice, they saw it as an easy way to make an extra months rent. They are really crappy people. Don’t do business with them unless you absolutely have to. Try Centerpoint (cheaper rent and they have their own parking garage).

The apartment is beautiful. We love it. The ladies in the office are angels and so nice to work with. Their manager is the reason for one star. He is so aggressive, rude, and disrespectful. He talks to the residents as if they are trash. I dont know how anyone in a position to work with people can still have a job when he behaves do unorofessionally.

The girls in the office are very nice, but unfortunately, they have a property manager, and he is very nasty. They will be amazing to you to sign the lease, and after that, they will treat you poorly, and if you are late even few days, they will threaten you to take you to court. They have no professional communication. I would not recommend this place at all.

Ive lived in a studio at the Redwood Square apartments for about 9 months. I really enjoyed living in this community and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in downtown Baltimore. Here are some of the highlights:1) The rent was decently priced2) The property management team was extremely friendly and helped resolve any of my inquiries/concerns right away.3) The maintenance staff are very helpful and respond to issues in a timely manner4) The property managers are extremely student friendly when it comes to security deposits, unit/payments arrangements, etc.5) The ceilings in my apartment were fairly high (pretty sure they would considered vaulted) and did good job of keeping out noise from neighbors6) Didnt have any issues packages theft.7) Located right next to UMB and the University of Maryland Medical Center/hospital.The only thing I didnt care for was the fact that there wasnt in-unit laundry (they have one washer and drawer per floor in my building) but then again I dont know anyone living in the city that has in-unit so it wasnt a huge deal. Great experience all in all!

Now this is just a review about their rental office (the apartments its self are beautiful). When they showed us the apartment everything was good. When we actually applied things changed. Told us that they were going to get back to us when they talked to their corporate manager rudely over the phone. Told us no with no explanation (come to find out its because of some unknown fraudulent activity on our credit report). Now 3 months later they contact us with saying yes we are approved desperate to fill empty apartments. The whole process turned me off from ever even considering moving their again. Rude staff.

Building used to be wonderful but maintenance has fallen down in last 6mos. Service lift broken for months (precovid)and the building claims they cant get the part yet/cant replace elevator. Multiple service issues and management is no longer empowered. We will likely incur significant additional cost, as there is a bus lane out front and there is no legal way to park a moving truck out front. Office staff nice but logistics more difficult than they used to be. Resident relations is unbothered by the additional cost movers charge residents for the additional difficulty of using alternative exit. Based on my personal experienced recently I no longer see this community in the same positive light. Additionally, we lived in 204 and our neighbors down the hall chainsmoked indoors and the complex showed no interest in limiting that. All of our clothing and blankets smell heavily of smoke and my asthma worsened over the time period they moved in.

I was ONE DAY late for rent and threatened a lawsuit. People say the apartments are nice but they are mediocre at best, with ridiculously outdated appliances. Most people live here for the cheaper rent and/or proximity to UMMC. Also, expect to be chased down by drunkards in broad daylight if you are a female (Ive had more than one weirdo try to follow me into my apartment building)
