Absolutely the best dental office in town! The staff is helpful, friendly and always smiling.The office is clean and bright. Dr. Ueckert is excellent at what he does, I can’t believe I’m not suffering from the pain of TMD anymore! Everything about this office is perfect. Go there!

I went in for a scheduled cleaning. The staff was very cordial upon my arrival and there was only about a minute of waiting in the comfortable reception area before getting started. The hygienist explained everything she was going to do and was efficient and thorough. Fortunately there were no major issues and the next cleaning was scheduled before I left the office. The staff took care of all the insurance filing and I left with a gift bag of dental products. Very nice.

Went to Dr Ueckert because other dentists said they thought I needed a root canal in order to put a crown on a back molar. I did not think it was needed (because I was not having any sensitivities--just had a deep crack in the tooth). Dr Ueckert did a temporary crown and then had me wait a long time before putting on the permanent crown (to make sure a root canal was not necessary). Sure enough, no issues with that tooth --even 3 yrs later. Hes the best !

There is not a better dentist in Austin, or possibly anywhere. When I went to Dr Ueckert, I hadnt been to the dentist in 20 years. He never made me feel guilty, just took a look at my teeth and helped me understand what needed to be done in order to get a mouth piece made for helping with sleep apnea. They took my needs into account and my finances, even putting off work until the following year that wasnt critical to make sure my insurance would cover it. They know you when you walk in, everyone there is friendly and it is almost as mellow as a day spa. I love my dentist, which is something I never thought Id say.

Great Dentists, Hygienists, and Staff!If you have to go to the dentist you cannot go wrong with Dr. Ueckert, and Dr. London! They are both very good at what they do and have a calming chair side manner. I have no doubt Dr. Brazil is also great but I do not have first-hand experience with him.I also have to commend Julie (hygienist). She is the best I have ever been to. Always a joy to visit and she has the ability to get everything clean with no no pain or irritation.The front office staff are some of the best in a medical office setting I have ever seen. They are always upbeat and make sure you have all the information you need before you leave.I unequivocally recommend Dr Ueckert and Associates.

Amazing group of people here! I originally called just to see if they did wisdom tooth extractions, how much, and if they offered payment plans. They do!! Ana was the first person I spoke with, and she has been nothing short of incredible! She had me email my x-rays so she could see if they would be able to help. Dr. Brazil was able to meet with me to discuss the x-rays and go over the whole process in general. The hygienist, Sandra (i think that was her name), was so sweet and so thorough. She could tell when it was starting to bother me, stop and ask if I was okay, which was comforting to know she was paying attention. Once everything was done, Dr. Ueckert came in, did a short and sweet review of everything, and I was good to go.If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Ive never liked going to the dentist, but they all made this one of the best experiences Ive had. Highly recommend this place!!!

My husband & I have been patients of Dr. Ueckert for over 10 years. We both have Julie as our hygienist and she is wonderful. I have had childhood fillings removed and replaced with porcelain crowns with Dr Ueckert. He is meticulous in his work to ensure the crowns fit properly, are the right shade to match the other teeth, and that my bite is correct. I know that his staff truly care about their patients and they take pride in their work.

Well, long story short ... broke the two top front teeth when I was 8 years old. Got caps, several times ...50 years later they have to be replaced with implants and PERMANENT, for the rest of my life and eternity, pieces of artwork that will show front and center every time I smile. I had an urgent issue with my tooth on a Saturday. Dr. Ueckert wasnt working and was actually at the lake enjoying time with his family. He VOLUNTEERED to come to the office, even though it was closed and take care of it. I met him there, he turned on the lights, looked it over and fixed it. As a new patient, I couldnt be more impressed with his professionalism, attention to detail, personal service and commitment to his patients. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ueckert and his team are amazing! And I should know, because I spent 7 and a half hours there my first week (I hadnt been to the dentist in 8 years so there was a lot to be done). I seriously dont know how I can put into words how impressed I am with my experience there. I feel like the best way is to talk about each person at Dr. Ueckert and Associates that made my experience so great!Elizabeth: She was the first person I spoke to when I called to make an appointment. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Every time I checked in and checked out at the office she was always so sweet.Julie: She was my dental hygienist (and I will be asking for her every time because I love her!). She was so sweet and you could really tell that she cared. Before she did anything she would always explain it to me first. My biggest praise to her is how thoughtful she was. For two of my appointments they had to clean one side of my mouth at a time (it was more than just a basic cleaning). She would put a blanket over me and give me a pillow. When Dr. Ueckert came in to give me my shots to numb my gums and teeth she grabbed my hand and would even squeeze it for the shots that hurt more. When she began working on my teeth one of the tools she used was really loud and ringing in my ear and so she gave me headphones so I could listen to my music. I gag really easily and she was super considerate about that. If I ever needed to stop it was totally fine. She told me I was in control and it helped so much. Im sure I am forgetting something, just know that she is amazing!Dr. Ueckert: I met him after Julie took x-rays. His first concern was to get to know me. The whole staff is very personable. They really care about their patients. After looking over my x-rays and Julie telling him more about what her and I had already talked about he came up with a plan on what we should tackle first. You can tell from him and stories from his employees that he truly loves what he does. He also studied neuromuscular dentistry and is helping me figure out issues I have always had with my jaw. Whenever he gave me my shots to numb my mouth, he would tell me which ones would hurt more which I loved because then I wasnt surprised.Rachel: Rachel was so helpful when talking to me about my dental insurance. I had a million questions and she so patiently answered them. She is trying to help me get the most out of my benefits and that means so much to me. She is even helping me look into my medical benefits to see what all we can get covered to make it as cheap as possible for me.Dr. Bruce: I talked with Bruce about my jaw issues. He was super helpful in explaining it to me so that I could understand it. I also had no idea how to answer the questions he asked about my jaw because they werent necessarily something I think about on a regular basis and he was very patient with me as I tried to explain these things.

Dr. Ueckert and the staff are the best in Austin and I wouldnt go anywhere else. I have been going to them for about ten years now and they are like family. I completely trust this business.

The hygienist did a superb job at prophylaxis and in updating my health record. She told me several reasons why flossing was essential- in spite of a recent report that there was no evidence that flossing was effective in reducing decay. She and Dr. Ueckert reviewed with me the additional procedures that was recommended in order to prevent tooth problems in the future. People in this office are very proactive.

I cant say enough great things about Dr. Ueckert and his staff. When I first went to Dr. Ueckert almost a decade ago I was very insecure about my smile. I had crowns on my two front teeth that were obvious crowns, too big for my smile, and discolored. In addition, my incisors had started to shift despite years of braces. Dr. Ueckert replaced my crowns, fixed my incisors with veneers to give me a perfectly straight smile, and it no longer looks like I have fake teeth. My smile is perfect and most importantly, it looks like the smile I was born to have! Dr. Ueckert is a perfectionist and he not only cares about making your mouth fully functional, he also cares about making it look good. Everyone on his team is knowledgeable and super responsive. I wouldn’t trust my smile with anyone else.

Ive been going to Dr. Ueckerts office since I moved down to Austin 5 years ago, and I dont think Ive ever come across friendlier or more understanding people when Ive had any medical issues. Ive been in the office for everything from cleanings to root canals (yes, plural) and Ive been surprised at how relatively painless they make the whole procedure. They even work with you on payment.Overall, great office with great people.

Not enough can be said about the wonderful staff here at Dr. Ueckerts. Dr. Ueckert himself is very professional and personable, hes an exceptional dentist, with a very high level of skill, and his staff mirrors this impression. They are all incredibly sweet and Im extremely pleased with the results of the work done on my teeth. They make it a point to be sure the patient is comfortable and to alleviate any anxieties. They will also work with you financially and bill your insurance for you, even though they arent in network with any insurance company. Again, not enough can be said about how wonderful they are!

What makes a great Dentist? Often times it is hard to put your finger on, and more often than not, you can only tell a Great Dentist, after you have experience with a Not so Great Dentist. This is certainly the case for me.A few years back I decided to have the metal fillings in my teeth since childhood, replaced with modern fillings. I was not having any problems with them, but was advised by my Dentist at the time (who will remain nameless) to change them out. Taking his advise, and spending $8000.00, I felt that I had done the right thing. Until that is, all of his work started failing. After countless hours in the chair, it became clear to me that I needed to find another Dentist.I was very fortunate to be referred by a friend to Dr. Gregg Ueckert. After making Austin my permanent home I recognized the need for a new dentist. I received a recommendation from one of Dr. Ueckerts former employees who could not speak highly enough of his practice and staff.Upon entering the clinic I knew why my colleague had recommended Dr. Ueckert. From day one Chelsea and Anna up front were welcoming, encouraging and highly communicative. Unfortunately due to genetic predispositions I required quite a bit of work. While in their care I received beginning with cleaning and check-up, followed up by fillings, non IV Sedation with root canal therapy, crown delivery and to cap everything off Zoom Whitening Services.Throughout the many treatments I received I had the opportunity to work with the majority of their staff who were all very professional, open, thorough and considerate. I was able to work with both Dr. Ueckert and Dr. Brazil. They are both very enthusiastic, kind, thorough, and were/are willing to answer whatever inquiries I had. While in their care I had the pleasure of working with their wonderful Dental Assistants Brandi and Elizabeth. However, the other assistants and employees were very kind and welcoming.I enjoyed my experience and was so pleased with their high quality work and attention to detail that my wife has chosen to leave her dentist of 20 plus years to become on of their patients.If you want quality work in a non intimidating environment I encourage you to check out Dr. Ueckert Dentisty. Going to the dentist is probably not the most pleasant experience for most, that is why it is so important to find a person who not only practices fantastic dentistry, but makes the entire experience as pleasant as humanly possible.When searching for an Austin dentist, Dr. Ueckert was recommending to me several times. After checking out a couple of other options, I decided that Dr. Ueckert would be my go-to-guy and this was over a decade ago! I am so happy in my decision and now I take the entire family to see him.First off, I am so happy that he keeps his appointments on time, no worries about sitting around waiting in his waiting room to be seen. I have seen Dr. Ueckert for a wide-range of services. In addition to routine check-ups and cleaning (his hygenist is awesome and super sweet), Dr. Ueckert has bleached my teeth with his laser Zoom treatment, he also made me special fitting trays to use for bleaching at night (which only take 15 minutes).My husband has benefited the most from Dr. Ueckert. Prior to his treatment, he didnt really smile because he was very self-conscious about the way his teeth looked. He had severe gaps and overall did what he could to make sure nobody noticed. After a few visits with the dentist, Dr. Ueckert suggested veneers. We are both so happy he choose this route. Instead of having to visit and orthodontist for years and ending up with straight but very small teeth, my husband ended up with the most beautiful teeth you can imagine. They are straight, white and fit his face perfectly. The best part about them is you would never know they are veneers unless he told you! Dr. Ueckert has an amazing artistic ability to create teeth and a smile that perfectly and authentically suits your body and face without making it look fake. He gave my husband a smile and I will always be grateful for this!

I try Dr. Ueckert after listening to them on the radio. I just wanted a cleaning but they refused and only did a 3hr exam and said I needed all sorts of work done (for another $1200). My previous Dentist I had for 10 years, never even hinted about all this extra work.After the exam, I got a bill for $12. I have good insurance (Blue Cross) and they typically cover 100% of a exam and cleaning. But the Insurance company does have a limit and Dr. Ueckert was $12 more then there limit. Why even bother?Anyways, as I looked into the extra work they suggested it turned out that Dr. Ueckert is more expensive for all procedures and the amounts that I saw seem very reasonable. No wonder Dentist make a ton of money. They over charge there patients.Needless to say I am searching for another Dentist. I should have known better. I guess they have to pay for the radio ads somehow..

Super friendly professionals with a sense of humor

Dr. Ueckert and his staff always go above and beyond personally and professionally, so it is with great ease that I highly recommend their dentistry services located just north of downtown Austin, TX. They can help you with anything as simple as a basic cleaning to anything as complex as a dental implant. I truly feel they care about their patients and work in equal measure, which matters a great deal to me as dental work was something I always found quite intimidating/taxing prior to going to their office. While Dr. Ueckert can take care of most dental needs in-house, anyone he refers you to will be equally excellent. For example, Dr. Kunik did a beautiful job with my Invisalign work and was such fun to work with! Dr. Ueckert also recently welcomed new staff, Dr. Brazil, who is a perfect staffing match professionally and personally. I look forward to getting to know him and his work. It only took seeing Dr. Brazil one time to feel at ease with him as he really took the time to get to know me while also making me feel confident about my current and future dental work. So, while you may not always be able to see Dr. Ueckert, as he is in high demand, you will also feel very well taken care of with the professionals he surrounds himself with. Ana McClaugherty, for example, will make sure to orchestrate all of your dental work and billing so that you do not have to sweat many details outside of showing up. As part of my orthodontic treatment, a few teeth needed bonding so I was sent to Dr. Ueckert for this. I thought Dr. Ueckert did a great job and Im happy with the results.I will agree with a previous reviewer and say that the staff could be a bit better. After removing those really uncomfortable stretchy things in my mouth to take pictures, the lady went to upload the photos to the computer. Before checking to make sure they uploaded correctly, she deleted the photos from the camera. We all know where this is heading...yep - photos didnt upload correctly so once again, they had to shove those insanely uncomfortable cheek stretches in my mouth to get photos taken.This time the photos uploaded, thank god! The woman put them up on the screen and told me Dr. Ueckert would see me in a moment. While I was waiting, I turned around to check out the photos of my teeth. Hmmm. Thats weird. I know Im in the midst of ortho and my teeth are changing, but I didnt realize my teeth looked like that? I got out of the chair for a closer look...oh wait, its because THOSE ARENT MY TEETH. Oopsies.Dr. Ueckert came over and began looking at my teeth pictures - I stopped him and said....yeah, those arent mine. Thank god I noticed or that day I might have ended up with an unexpected root canal!With that said - I am really happy with how my teeth turned out and it wasnt all the staff members I had concerns with. In fact, the secretary was extremely kind and I had a great interaction with her. Shes super cute, personable and helpful.Additionally, I wasnt expecting my insurance to cover any of the treatment, but they submitted the claim just in case. It turns out, my insurance actually covered a decent portion, so Im happy they took the time to submit it.

I have seen Dr. Ueckert and Bruce Christiansen for TMD related issues on and off for several years, including getting an occusal mouthguard. However, Dr. Ueckert is also a general dentist as well.I have continued to be very pleased by the cordial and professional nature of the entire team at this practice. Mouthguard wasnt cheap, but very good lasting quality. It will be 3 years old as of Sept. Still in great shape, though needed an adjustment or two.They are not in network with insurance companies, but they will do their best in meeting your financial limits.Highly recommended

Dr. Ueckert is the James Brown of Austin dentistry, which is to say hes The Hardest Working Man in Teeth Business. I can vouch for this. I have spent more hours in his chair than I did getting to know my husband before the wedding. (My dental problems run deep.) Most recently, it was something simple (a crown popped off), but Dr. Ueckerts done extensive bridgework for me, and hes realigned my bite with neuromuscular dentistry and fit me with mouth splints and, got me all veneered up and yes indeed, hes drilled and filled an embarrassing number of cavities. But however large or small the problem is, hes treated me the way I wish all health care providers would treat their patients but never do: he listens to my concerns, he explains EXACTLY whats happening as he goes along, he does not rush through the process. Hes not a shoddy craftsman. He isnt satisfied with his work until YOU are satisfied with his work. Hes prompt and professional and very pleasant. This is the person Im trusting with sharp tools near my tongue. Chairside manner is important. For that matter the entire staff is friendly and accommodating and I know this is low on the how I pick a dentist list, but Dr. Ueckert plays music as he works and when I was there last I believe it was Bob Wills and Kitty Wells and Hank Williams and even through the dental work (which lets face it, even at its best is never going to be FUN), he put a smile on me. And, as it happens, a tooth back in me. (Ok, a crown.) Im sure there are many good dentists in town. But I challenge you to find one as exceptional as Dr. Ueckert. Its not going to happen. Five stars.

Ive known Dr. Ueckert for nearly 20 years and been a patient for much of that time. Not only is he a stellar dentist, but his dental staff (from the front desk all the way back) is friendly, attentive, and professional. If youre looking for a dentist in Austin, I cant recommend Dr. Ueckert more highly.

Best dentist in Austin!!! Dr. Ueckert gave me one of the best experiences we have ever had with a dentist office. Dr. Ueckerts staff made me feel very comfortable and I was well informed about every procedure that was recommended to me. The dental hygenist, Julie, made sure to go over every one of my teeth that either needed to be worked on or may need to be worked on in the future. Thats what i loved most, they werent trying to upsell me like my previous dentists. Julie really gave me options and possible scenarios which helped me understand what my current issues were and what i should look out for.I really appreciated how friendly everyone was and that I was treated as a person and not a dollar sign. If you are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Ueckert, he really changes the way you think about dentists in general. Thanks again for all the help with my crowns and fillings Dr. Ueckert!!!

I was unsure about a tooth causing me pain, and Dr. Ueckert diagnosed the problem and had me all patched up in about 10 minutes! The experience was great and everyone there was extremely friendly!

Dr. Ueckert is the best dentist in austin! not only did he fix my aching tooth when other dentists had previously failed 3 other times.... but while working on a film here in austin, our lead actor chipped his tooth. Dr. Ueckert (and Ana) rushed into the office on a sunday to fix him up. dr. ueckert is a true artist and a true professional. so happy to have him here in austin! i recommend him whole heartedly. -schuyler

Dr. Uekert (pronounced Eckert) is an awesome dentist, my family has gone to him for years. This review, however, is mostly about my experience with TMD (some say TMJ) and a treatment I am going through called neuromuscular therapy. It is a way of treating TMD by working with your bite instead of surgery, which is a high priority for me.I began struggling with problems from TMD a few years ago, and thankfully since I was already seeing Dr. Ueckert, when I described my issues he began discussing some treatment options with me. I have been going through neuromuscular therapy for about 6 months now, and am feeling much better. I still have some steps to go through, but I began to have relief of my symptoms right away. Different folks have slightly different treatment paths, but just so you have an idea: my treatment is an orthotic over my bottom teeth and eventually I will go into braces to correct my bite. I was hesitant at first because I have been through braces and was not looking forward to another stab at it. Also, after seeing someone elses orthotic (you could barely see it, it had to be pointed out to me) I was a lot more willing. Now, I am feeling so much better I wish I had started years ago.I really suggest that you look into it if you are having issues with your jaw or have been told you have TMJ or TMD. All of the staff at the office are awesome and helpful, they know my whole family because none of us want to go anywhere else. I still travel all the way from San Antonio to see them, even for cleanings, because I know they will make sure that I am comfortable; if you have TMD, you know going to the dentist can be a nightmare on your jaw. You should check out Dr. Ueckert if you want to take care of your TMD issues and especially if you would like to avoid surgery.

My best friend was a dental hygenist, so I know Dentists pretty well. One thing I can say is Dr. Ueckert is very professional. He always makes sure that I know all the details about my dental appointment and is always open to my questions. He has a gentle touch and lets you know how to care for your teeth so you dont run into any future problems.I love how responsive his dental office is. Unlike mosts dentists I have seen in the past, I can email him, and he, or someone in his office responds quickly. He is by far the most knowledgeable in Austin for TMJ, I had a very bad case of TMJ that no other dentist could fix. Dr Ueckert fixed my TMJ by taking a bite and making me a custom mouthguard. I no longer have any problems with my jaw and NO MORE headaches! He really is a great dentist, just a great guy! I am very happy with him. One of the best dentists I have been to in my life.Ella

One summer I woke up in incredible pain with lock jaw, saw a chiropractor and was referred to Dr. Gregg Ueckert who is the Austin specialist in Neuromuscular Dentistry.While I knew Id clinched and ground my teeth at night for years and lived with frequent head & neck aches, very sore jaws muscles, clicking, popping, and pain in my cheeks, my regular dentist offered no options. Neuromuscular dentistry has alleviated most of my symptoms from TMJ/TMD. I am no longer in pain which I lived with all of my adult life! This is nothing short of miraculous to me. Dr. Gregg Ueckert and his assistant, Bruce, are the most caring and responsive doctors Ive ever known. They are knowledge about the relationship between the teeth, muscles and jaws and their treatment plan is towards healing the underlying problem. They are both infinitely patient, clearly explaining the process each step of the way, answering any questions. Dr. Ueckert and his staff treat each patient with respect and individuality. I hold Dr. Ueckert in high regard as an ultimate professional in this relatively new field of neuromuscular dentistry. You and your concerns will be in safe hands. I strongly encourage anyone with TMJ/TMD symptoms to seek help from this dentist office as early in life as possible--then you will have more of your life ahead of you pain free.
