We made an appointment for 9:30 that when they open. The own didnt show up until almost 10. I Wasnt pleased with the work I got done basic polish with glitter it looks like a kid did my toe nails. They keep switching ladies to fix my polish cause they would accidentally touch the wet polish. I think we were in there for almost 3 hr.

Really impressed and happy with my firstvisit here. Having gotten my nails done in 1+ year and was worried to go somewhere new and ask for a more complicated design. My nails are SNS with tip and design.Vivian killed it. My nails look amazing and she really put in effort to make sure I was happy.The team also took it seriously with multiple people asking me about my design and what I wanted. I found this salon on Instagram! I called last Thursday morning as soon as they opened to see if they had any availability for Hero. They took my contact info and called me back when they had a time. Hero did exactly what I asked for and the price was reasonable. I was in and out in one hour and my nails look INCREDIBLE. The salon was clean and very big. Staff was all wearing masks and most of the customers were too. Please wear a mask and tip your nail artists!!!

There was a lack of effort into taking care of my nails. It was near closing and the guy who was doing my nails kept going onto his phone, even if he needed to continue he would text right in front of me like I wasnt even there. This happened multiple times, around 4. If there was something important going on I would of understood a simple sorry for texting its important and I would of been fine with it. Also its been two days and the nail polish is chipping, along with the sides of my nails looking like they werent painted fully. I dont think Ill be coming back :/

Violet does great lashes. Very informative and discuss the right options for your eye shape. Also, she keeps you relaxed & comfortable. You will fall asleep, her hands are light

I usually have a great experience here. However I am only writing this review today because of the teams poor time management.I had my appointment booked for 9:30am. Nobody showed up to open the lounge until 9:38 and didn’t even start my appointment until 9:52.I am a mom who breastfeeds my baby and so when I book an appointment I plan my time around it.I believe the team needs to be more professional by opening the lounge on time especially when they have people booking appointments and their signs show that they open at 9:30.

Salon was very clean and staff was pleasant but my manicure was very poorly done. The nail polish was applied too thick, causing it to sag as it dried and they left sharp pieces of nail sticking up despite gilt shaping. I wanted to ask to have it fixed while I was drying but they were so busy, when I went to the front desk there was another client there arguing that her appointment wasn’t being honored. I didn’t have time to wait so I felt I had to let it go. Disappointed that I’ll need to go somewhere else and pay twice now

My nails are perfect ! Mimi helped me with an acrylic full set and I am beyond happy. These are the best nails I’ve ever had. Everyone is incredibly professional and precise in making the most perfect designs. They can do ANYTHING. HIGHLY recommend !

I have never posted a negative review before, but my experience with Modern Nails Lounge Spa was so unpleasant I feel it necessary to let others know. My daughter and I went in for pedicures and my technician, although very nice, struggled greatly with my pedicure. She cut too much of my nails causing bleeding and discomfort and once it came time for polish she had to completely start over twice. The polish was old and so she struggled with getting an even coat as well. She also completely missed spots on my toes with the polish to the point I had to ask her to cover them with the polish. The technician then failed to place top coat on my freshly polished toes and therefore within hours of leaving the salon, I had several chips. I went back the next day to ask for my polish to be fix and the associate I spoke with was very friendly and agreed I could come back the next day for a fresh coat of polish. Came back the next day, but the associate I spoke with that day was not nearly as pleasant and when I chose a different polish he told me I would be charged because it had to be the same polish. Even with explaining to him the other polish was old and poor quality which is one of the reasons the pedicure was so bad, he still gave me a hard time so I decided it was best to remove myself from the situation. I asked him for a voucher for the poor quality pedicure that I paid for and tip very well on even with the experience I had, and all I got back from him was disrespect. I was given the number for management to see if we could resolve this issue, but never received a call back even though I left a voicemail with my callback information. Again, I have never left a poor review in my life, but the level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect was deplorable. I obviously will not be returning as a paying customer and will be sure to steer family and friends from this business as well.

This nail salon is awesome! It took me a bit of time to find my go to nail salon in Austin, I tried out various different places through out the city and this is now my go to salon for many reasons including cleanliness, customer service, quality of nail service. I look forward to booking my appointment every couple of weeks for dip with extension and pedicure. I’ve had a few nail techs that were all amazing and everyone is super friendly. I also was lucky to find my go to nail technician Richard, he takes his time to make sure my nails come out exactly how I want them! He really listens to how I want my shape, length, and I’m very picky with my cuticles. I always come out there feeling like a new person! Thank you modern nails and Richard !

Have been looking for a salon in Austin to do nail art on short nails and this is definitely the spot I’ll be coming back to. Mimi is awesome. Everywhere else I’ve been I feel like what I’m asking for is bothersome to the nail techs, but not here. I got exactly what I wanted, done quickly and priced fairly.

Ive been going here for a few years and have never been disappointed. Ive never had a gel manicure that didnt start to peel or chip after a couple weeks. Not to mention the extremely kind, conversational employees. I will definitely be back and I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a 6pm appointment and was in a chair in less than 5 minutes. I showed Mimi, who was an absolute doll, multiple different sets and she was able to give me all the prices up front. She not only was able to recreate the set I showed her but she was clean, thorough and gave each design her full focus. For context I got french tips with a hand drawn design on each nail for $95 (cheaper than ALL of the other salons and techs I reached out to). I could not be more satisfied! Definitely will be coming back next time!

I called a head to make an appointment @ 1:30 pm. With Hero. I arrived about 5 minutes before my scheduled time. The person at the front desk told me it would be about 5 minutes because the nail tech had to do a design which his client added last minute. I paid so I could get it out of the way, they kept reassuring me that it was only a few more minutes and that he wouldn’t take long to do my nails. The female kept having him do the design over because it wasn’t perfect to her liking. He kept obliging. She finally got off his chair at 2:17pm by then I had to drive back to work. I’m not sure why they even take appointments if they don’t go by them at all. I understand it’s a nail salon and appointments could run a little over but from 1:30 to 2:17 is a huge freaking gap. Waste of my time and lunch.

Every single time I come to this nail salon, they quote me a price at the beginning of the service & then charge $10-20 extra later. Not to mention it always takes 2/3 hours to do a very simple French tip. When I made the comment to the manager that this is a theme & something the continues to happen, he said I was wrong. When I mentioned Id be making a negative review he said go ahead we have plenty of people that come in here it doesnt matter to us. Not where I will be spending my money. I got the wrong shape (suppose to be coffin, and clear/white tip, got charge $10 more, & took 2 hours.) Will NOT come again. Terrible service.

2 nails broke the same day. Went back got them fixed and they left a giant bubble on it ( I get the sns nails) really just disappointed I wasted my money here. After the two were repaired 4 more broke within the week. Its pretty and clean thats why im giving two stars but I was not impressed with my nails or pedicure so I wont be returning.** photos are two weeks out because I just got around to writing a review. So you’ll see the growth but all of the breaks chips cracks happened before I even hit 5 days. The thumb is the one after repair with a bubble. Even told him and he said no its fine its just my nail....

I scheduled an appointment for two people, we got it as scheduled. The people that did our pedicure and manicure were great! They asked questions to make sure we got what we wanted and corrected anything we were unhappy with. I am very pleased with the service!

I absolutely love how they did my nails. We came for the princess chairs for my 2 daughters and they had a blast. They were very well taken care of and I was happy with my mani pedi.

Everyone there was super nice and polite. I had an appointment and I actually came a little early but they were able to seat me and get everything started quickly. The pedicure was great and I also had a facial and eyebrow wax and it was so relaxing and the lady was so nice and attentive. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

So this is my third time getting a gel manicure here as I wanted to give them enough tries before rating.Unfortunately the quality is just not there. My first manicure was great but after that it’s been horrible. The second one lasted about a week before chipping off.The third one was the worst. I got it done about 4 days ago, and 1 day after I got it the it was extremely matted and scuffing like it didn’t have a very good top coat. No big deal I went back in yesterday and got the top coat re done, I slept and woke up to a cracking top coat!! It looks even worse than before I went to go in. Not sure what’s up with their top coat but my nails look horrible. I would save your money or put on your own top coat!!

This was my first time getting a mani and pedi done since 2019! I was a walk in so of course I had to wait a little bit but that was no problem to me. Mimi did my nails and she did amazing!! Best stiletto nails I’ve ever gotten. She takes her time and good care of you. Bryan did my pedi and seriously so awesome. I was so relaxed with the leg massage I almost fell asleep. I visited this salon today and was pleasantly greeted. I arrived 30 minutes early for a pedicure and manicure and they seated me within 15 minutes. They are making all customers wash their hands upon walking in, I counted at least five jars of sanitizer throughout the salon and one bottle at each nail station. All the techs were wearing face masks and almost all customers had one on too. All guests were seated one chair apart even if you came in together to help with social distancing. My nail tech was Kim and I really liked her. She was soft spoken and asked me questions along the way to understand what I wanted. The hot stones were too hot at first and she massaged my legs a bit longer to let the stones cool. One of my toenails had broken recently and she exercised great care when handling that toe and made the French tip cover up the nail beautifully until it has a chance to fully grow back. I had two different technicians work on my manicure one for the powder dip and the other for the red design. Both were pleasant, quick and accurate. I would definitely recommend this place, they stick to their pricing thats shown online and even gave me a discount for my wait in between my nails and the design tech being available. All the techs seemed very friendly as most were carrying on conversation with their clients and the floor manager made a point to get to know a little about me since this was my first visit. 10/10

I came here because reviews said it was clean. It is not. This place is gross and has questionable sanitation practices. Reusing Emory boards, the nail techs have unkempt hands and use their scraggly fingernails instead of tools to “clean up” the polish on your cuticles. I had someone else’s nail debris flying onto my phone and clothes and the tech doing it just kind of giggled and kept going. The polish choices are old and outdated. If you’re looking for a relaxing mani/pedi in a clean place, this is not it.

Mimi did an amazing job on my nails taking her time with every detail. Definitely will be going to her again. The salon was spacious & clean & everyone there was so nice.

I called ahead of time and and asked if they could do marble. I also showed them a picture and they said no problem and that they could do it.I hated them. They were a completely different color than what I wanted and nothing like the picture.I felt bad so I didn’t say anything. I called right when I left the store to tell them. I asked for a refund just for my nails. I asked them to let him keep the tip and to keep the money for everything else. I just wanted a refund on my nails.The manager told me that they are not a clothing store and do not do refunds. She told me that they cannot match a picture perfectly. To which I told her that if they would have said that from the beginning I would not have gotten them.She then hung up on me......I paid $90 for my nails alone. I spent over $200 there... I was very respectful and nice and just felt bad and uncomfortable saying to the guy that he did a bad job. This place is not a place to go to if you want unique nails. Also don’t expect them to work with you If you are unhappy with the work.I was told that I should have said something to the guy. Which I understand... but I’m just not the kind of person to do that. It was extremely uncomfortable.

Unfortunately my second time around was not a good experience. I got a manicure and gel and they forgot to groom my cubicles then they painted my nails so far from my cuticles it looks like I needed to go again and just a week. The paint they used on my nails warped on the second day and went from a warm orange to a Greenie grey orange. When we went they were very busy and I could tell that I was just one of many that they were trying to get through. If youre trying to get subpar work done then this is your place!

Ive been to this salon twice and I will never go any where else! They are wo friendly, timely, and never say they cant do something! Ashley was my first tech and she did a great job. Mimi was my second and she also rocked it out of the park! Their prices are not too high either. Over all I really recommend!

So I found this place onlie last year and I wascrazy about this place. Now they do a nice job according to who is doing ur services. but now Its as if they dnt listen to want u want and Im paying for it. I can only do Gel Nails due to my eczema. My fingers are so sensitive to the touch and it really hurts. I explained that 4 times and told her i want GEL NAILS with blended colors (goggle that if u may). Instead she gave me a regular nail fill and I told her NO!! and do to my husband and child has already been here for almost 2 hours I just left. My fingers are burning and now Im at another shop to fix there MESS. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN.

I received a great pedicure but the one my boyfriend received right next to me was terrible. No consistency. They basically just clipped his nails crooked and rubbed lotion on his legs even though we paid for the deluxe pedicures. Notice how they only respond to the 5-star reviews..

I wanted to try this place out because I heard about their great designs. After consistently telling the nail tech what I wanted and showing him examples of their own work... The nail tech didn’t listen to any of my requests charged me for terrible designs he didn’t even know how to do. The embellishments he put on my nails started to come off as soon as I left. The next day my nail broke. Needless to say I had a terrible experience and it’s the worst 80 bucks I’ve ever spent. I feel completely robbed as a first time customer.

Just got the signature pedicure today on recommendation from a friend who goes here often. This was my first time getting a pedicure in ages and it was total bliss. I didnt get the name of the lovely lady that took care of me but it was such a relaxing and great experience. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, its very clean, and there are covid precautions in place. I would absolute recommend this place to everyone.

They say they can do something when they cannot. The manager is also extremely rude and will hang up on you when you are trying to be respectful and nice about not liking the work that was done.I called ahead of time and showed them a picture. I was told several times that they were able to do it... the guy was very nice and I asked for him to be able to keep the tip but they refused to give me a refund for just my nails.

I went here on three separate accounts1st account: I opted for dip nails, but the technician rushed through the process and was done with my mani dip within 30 mins. The next morning they already started cracking and breaking. I called and complained about that and spoke to the manager via text they were willing to fix it free of charge and wait till my work schedule (unavailable for 4-5 days later to get them fixed).2nd account: they did a beautiful job, and the technician spent over an hour on my nails and they lasted for weeks! I was very pleased!3rd account: Another rushed job, nails started chipping around the edges within days, and I even pre-warned the technician about my first experience and telling him I would need the dip more on the thicker side, and showed him the pictures of what the first job looked like, he didnt really pay it any mind and he didnt even touch my cuticles until I said something, and got frustrated when I asked if he could clean up my cuticles. He was rude and mannerism was not appropriate. I commented on the tech being grumpy when I was paying at the end(the man legit ran out after my appointment to go vape), and the front person told me he is always like that haha.Personally, I wont be spending anymore money there.

This salon is truly amazing, the atmosphere is very clean and peaceful, spacious and doesn’t have a strong odor.Their staffs are very professional, And theyre also very accommodating. She did such a great job on my nails, from the thickness to the shape, it is absolutely flawless and she was really patience about it the whole time. I have been going to Modern Nails for my nails for about a year and honestly I refuse to go anywhere else in Austin. Even when I moved East and it became out of the way, there is no other place I trust more and its worth the commute. They have accommodated just about every request Ive ever had for color, shape, ombre...you name it. The staff is so friendly and everyone I have ever had is a perfectionist when it comes to nails. I really dont understand how anyone has come away giving this place 1 star and Ive gotten my nails done here over a dozen times.***RECENTLY THOUGH*** I started also getting my LASHES done here by Kaitlyn and I absolutely lovvvveeee her. I really cannot say enough good things. She is the kindest warm-hearted human who is meticulous when it comes to lashes. I walk away every time more than happy with how theyve turned out. I recommend anyone looking for some great lashes to go to Kaitlyn.I love convenience and efficiency so you can imagine how much I love that Modern Nails has quickly become a one-stop shop for me where I can get nails + lashes + eyebrow waxing done all at once.

Management and this place is a joke. Had an issue and tried to resolve it calmly and appropriately.. even offered to send a picture or meet in person. I was told that my problem was “ridiculous”.. was offered no real solution and the manager lady threatened me saying if came down she would get her attorney involved.I’m sure plenty people have a great experience here, but if you have any sort of problem or issue don’t plan on them resolving it for you or being professional.Never in my lifetime have I had a business tell me a problem I brought up was ridiculous and without knowing any details, not there fault

Went to modern nails for my first time and hero took care of me. I had such a good experience! I came in wanted a certain design and hero helped me out with that so much! Clean, pretty spa with excellent and friendly service! They even have a couple of childrens pedicure chairs, so my son and I could enjoy some bonding time. We will definitely be back!

I love it here. The salon is incredibly clean and decorated very nicely so you feel at home as soon as you walk in. The nail artists are phenomenal- I get acrylic so that I don’t bite my nails and they make them look like my own nails. I’m very happy and will not go anywhere else.

I get awesome nail art here. It’s my new favorite nail salon in Austin. They get busy on the Weekends, so visit Monday thru Friday for faster service. However, they are well worth the wait!

You walk in and you can feel how luxurious it is. They offer juice water or wine. Its soo relaxing and the nail techs are so sweet and so attentive. It was my first time here I absolutely loved it. This is the best nail salon in Austin Texas !!! Thank you modern nails !

By far some of the worst customer service and actual nails I’ve ever had. I had an appointment for 6pm, got there at 5:45 and at 6:10 they tried taking a walk in customer before me. They said that they were going to make me wait so that I could be seated near my friend, I politely informed them I did not care where I sat and would like to get my service started, however they refused. Once I was finally seated, the girl doing my nails was extremely rushed and was shaking to the point where she cut my fingers multiple times and was bleeding. I was getting a full set and once she had put all the tips on and started on one of my hands, she stood up and walked over to another table and began doing another customers nails. At this point, I had been in the salon for 40 minutes. After 10 minutes of her doing someone else’s nails while I sat waiting, I walked over and asked if someone else could start doing my nails or when she would be coming back to do mine to which she told me “sit down I have to fix her nails first”. I waited nearly 20 minutes with only one hand with powder on it. After nearly 2 and a half hours she still was not done completing my nails (which were a nude color with 1 black stripe) and I asked if I could come back the following day since I had somewhere to be. When I went to pay the girl charged me an extra $10 since the “design” was so difficult for her to do... With the agreement that I would be coming back for my nails to be completed the following day I tipped a full 20%. So after 2 and a half hours and $60 later I walked out with nails that were not even finished. When I called the next day to let them know when I would be coming in I talked to the manager who said that time was fine. However, 5 minutes later the girl who did my nails CALLED ME on my cell phone informing me she refused to finish my nails unless I paid an additional $20... we argued back and forth and the manager said that was her decision despite the fact that my nails hadn’t been completed and I paid for the full service and tipped. I ended up going to a different salon to have my nails finished and they didn’t even charge me after I explained to them what had happened to me. This place is an absolute scam.
