This is a great company! They managed a rent house for us for over ten years without any major problems. We live over 150 miles away from the property and they made owning rental property a painless endeavor. They even direct deposited the monthly checks. Then when we decided to sell the house they took care of all the work to get the property in fantastic shape and ready to sell. We were shocked over how good the home looked when they were done and at their suggestion we priced the property a little above the top of the market in order to take advantage of a Sellers market. Because of the outstanding job they did we ended up in a bidding war with over seventy offers in three days. We ended up accepting an all cash contract for over $57,000.00 above the original asking price. We strongly recommend this outstanding property management company.
Carol has been managing my properties for several years. She is always responsive and the utmost professional--I am so grateful to have her and the entire Neighborhood Realty & Property Management team on my side.
They’ve been very helpful and persistent in helping us resolve our issues. Carol in particular was extremely patient and responsive.
The most professional organization I have had the pleasure to work with. Starting with the people that showed us the property, to the maintenance crew. Our property manager Carol has been amazing. Always available to help with any questions we have about the property. During the storm, they kept us informed of maintenance issues and needs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent!!!!
The management is amazing. They always respond quickly and with a nice attitude. The duplex is a great value and the neighborhood is close to a really great elementary school. Our neighborhood was homey and we loved our time there.
Rates have been fair and management and maintenance support is very responsive. Patrick, the property manager, had done a great job coordinating the restoration of all the damaged units from the February freeze. Especially getting the water turned off, bringing in port-a potties (for tenants and work crews), and getting the ruined furniture, etc. hauled off. The crews that have come in and done all the restoration in my unit have been awesome and very respectful. Especially Billy and Beto.
Carol Fox has been very helpful and amazing! Any issues I had she was able to take care of and wasn’t hard to reach about them. Every question I had was answered.
Many hestitate to own rental property because of the hassles. I was one of those people. We bought a home in another town and decided to rent it out. We were referred to Neighborhood Realty & Property Management by our realtor. Brandon Kerr was our contact. For over 4 years my property was taken care of. Tenants were cared for. New tenants found quickly twice. The experience was painless and seamless. I would recommend Brandon and this company to anyone.
This is the worst realty agency I have ever rented from. Our realtor, Carol was the most unprofessional, rude, and condescending realtor weve ever encountered. We had so many issues at the property we rented from them and heard from previous renters that they had similar experiences. There were red flags when we first moved in which we shouldve paid more attention to- there was significant water damage in various parts of the walls throughout the house that they did not want to address and stated it was just cosmetic touch ups which were not apart of the contract. When we first moved in, we had rats and had to contact the agency multiple times to get someone out. Then the water softer began leaking and we were told that they do not cover for it to get replaced and we would have to pay for that on our own if we wanted it. Then we had a pipe leak from underground and it took them 4 WEEKS to finally get it all fixed. When we asked for compensation for rent and utilities for displacement- they refused. We were responsible for the water bill and paying for all other bills including rent even though we were out of the house for a full month. That was obviously the final straw. Through all of this, our encounters with Carol were met with blaming, condescending, and would talk over you so you couldnt speak. I would be extremely skeptical and really look over each dotted line when signing with this realty agency.
I’m very pleased. Management is responsive and prompt in dealing with issues when they arise. The online portal is easy to use. I just renewed for another year, and I expect it to be as good as last.
Our experience with Neighborhood Realty Austin was unsatisfactory. They were unprofessional in handling an emergency situation for which they did not even answer their emergency line! The next day they responded in the afternoon with a very defensive position. We tried several times to discuss the issue before taking action but our emails were not responded to. Our maintenance requests were slow to respond to and we had to submit 2 of them a few times before action was taken. To top it off, we moved out after touching up the wall scruffs using their white paint that they left in the garage which was identical to the pain on the walls and we were charged $600 for paint repair! They did not even think to let us know upon inspection to allow us the chance to correct anything they saw unfit. It left us quite concerned they were looking for a reason to keep our deposit. The cost of the paint was double what they charged for carpet repair and we had a significant tear in the carpet on the section at the bottom of the stairs due to moving heavy furniture. At the time of moving into the house, a dog (30lbs or less) was allowed. When we went to the animal rescue center, we had to get permission from our landlord before they would allow us to take the dog with us. Unfortunately the landlord denied the dog as the lady at the dog rescue falsely stated he was a pit bull and we had to leave without a dog.Overall, due to our experience over 2 years, we are hesitant to recommend NRA to any future renters.
Very prompt in responding to maintenance requests. I also enjoy the tenant portal app and reminders. I would totally recommend NRPM to friends!
Excellent service, fair pricing
Been through so many different companies, landlords, and all sorts of management companies through all my living situations here in Austin, TX since 2002. NRPM has really done a great job taking care of my needs as a renter and making every process so easy. I highly recommend this team for your needs as a renter and owner. The communication is fast and nothing is through the cracks. Sometimes all it takes is just some clear and upfront communication and that is highly appreciated.
I have been using Neighborhood Realty & Property Management for many years to manage my property and I could not be happier. They have always been very helpful and quick to respond anytime I needed help with anything. Their staff is professional and results oriented and I would recommend anyone looking for a good management company to call them first.
I have had this company as my property management for over 2 years and I have to say that they get the work done! I have very happy with the results they give and professionalism they have.
I just moved to Austin this week and was struggling to find an apartment that met my requirement and budget. I contacted Dana to help guide me in my search and couldn’t be happier. She was quick to respond to any calls and provided me a smooth experience in the stressful world of apartment searching. She is knowledgeable about the available options and I would work with her again!
Crooked practices. Outright lies. Threats and misconduct.I broke my lease and moved out. 2 months later they took me to court for an eviction...from an already empty house.Funny thing us the previous renter told me personally her family had multiple problems with the management company as well.Be careful with your contract as well.I also am posting this a 2nd time as they had my first post removed..just like theyve done with others Im sure..Robbie and Carol are NOT good people..
Neighborhood realty is the best realty company you can work with. The people there are very friendly. Patrick is the best. If you are looking for a place to rent go here you wont be disappointed.
I like doing business with this company. Whenever my a/c went out a new unit was installed the next day. I dont have to maintain the yard because lawn services cut it every week or as needed which in good except having to pick up litter from people that pass by.Neighborhood Realty is a good business however the previous property manager that no longer works for the said company wouldnt help us try to get upgrades on the duplex weve been living in for years. The new property manager said they dont do upgrades with people living in the property. He also said, if something is broken we should send a email maintenance request to get it fixed. The stove burners turn red as if its on high when its on medium, which I think is a potential fire hazard. There is now a appliance company coming out to look at our stove and fridge. The carpets havent been replaced when we were told by the previous land lord that they would shampoo them for free when we renewed our lease about a year ago.I know its our responsibility to keep the carpet clean so since then Ive purchased a carpet shampooer. Also our refrigerator leaks water at least 2-3 times a week which has created water damage on our baseboards and we havent gotten that replaced in several years. I have previously put in request with the old management but have not with Neighborhood Realty since then. One other thing which I thought was great was the rent but it keeps going up every year without any upgrades to the property. As I was told were paying under market value. $1050 for a 3br 2 bath. Thats $150 under market value and I was told that the rent would increase against in July. The neighbor behind us property owner paid for half of the costs to get the fence repaired between our yards. Meanwhile our fence looks like its decaying on the street side which is seen more by the public in my opinion. My mom used to live in the duplex next door so I know what a few upgrades can do to a place and I wouldnt mind paying more a month if it would look more modernized.Overall, Im satisfied because were paying cheap rent, and things get fixed in a timely manner. Since I was asked to give feedback Im giving my honest opinion. Im not going to sugar coat anything because 5 stars would mean your company goes above and beyond, while Im not going to give you a 1 star based off of bad experiences and a broken stove and refrigerator. Thanks for listening to my feedback.P.S. Ive lived here almost 1/3 of my life and all of my childrens lives, so to us this is home.
Patrick Juve has managed my rental property since 2006. He is a great guy and a true professional. I highly recommend his property management services - he makes owning a rental property easy!
Neighborhood Realty and Property Management is and has been a terrible company when it comes to having maintenance request completely in a timely manner. It took over a week and several complaints to get the light fixed in my refrigerator, the garbage disposal when it backed up and now its going on 9 days to get my washing machine fixed. I have yet to even get an update after 9 days if the owners have even spoke to Neighborhood Realty about the issue of my washing machine. Apparently Neighborhood Realty doesnt do a damn thing until the owners approve of maintenance request that are required to be fixed. I pay for the appliances as part of my lease so I dont see why there needs approval for something that has to be fixed regardless... you cant say no bc its part of my lease and I pay for it!. I have a family of four and this company apparently isnt concerned with me having to go out of my way to get clothes washed or the hygiene issues that comes along with not having a working washing machine to clean our clothing. They do nothing as a Management Company besides relay messages to the owners of the property you lease and then submit the work request and sit back and expect things to get done. They have no urgency when it comes to helping out residents with maintenance request. After I submitted my maintenance request for my washing machine to be fixed, I did get the appliance company to come out the next day (after calling and begging them) and they told myself and Neighborhood Realty that parts needed order. So Carol (my property manager) said she relayed the message to the owners. After 3 days went by I heard nothing so I contacted her again to be told that she would then send them another message. You mean to tell me that you arent proactively reaching out to these people about my issue and are just waiting for them to get back to you??? What if I never emailed you again? Now youre just going to sit back and wait again in hopes that they contact you? What if theyre on vacation? i mean it is the holidays! Its now been 9 days and Im at the end of my rope. Ive sent a third email and still no response. Wish me lucky on getting my washing machine fixed before the end of this year.
At first I was pleased with how quickly the realtor answered my question about a rental property, but it went downhill from there. This realtor made statements that they did not follow through on or were not factual, and there was not adequate communication between the realtor and the office staff. Id hear one thing from the realtor but the office staff would say the opposite. We turned in two applications for the same property, and I had to take a call from work because they couldnt figure out that we had listed the same dog on the separate applications. (Its in the directions to do so)I would not use this company again and I would not recommend it to anyone looking at properties in South Austin, since their office is in North Austin.
We resigned our lease because we have never had any issues and the experience so far has been great. Paying rent online is very easy and maintenance requests are always followed up in a very timely manner. We are very happy.
Hello I just want to say that today June 30 2015 was my last day at on of the Properties from NRPM after a year and a half. My experience with them was superb. Not to many maintenance calls but two. One was a leak and the wall where a big hole formed So I called Patrick and he sent help right way. I was very pleased. Another one was a plumbing issue. Submitted the maintenance call online and with in the day got a call. Was very pleased. Payments where easy to make online. I recommend their services. Thanks Patrick!
We have grown to recognize and respect our Leasing Company, these past ... gosh, going on six years now. They have always been quick to rectify an issue with our heating and cooling. Even when falling on a weekend (temperature emergencies). I had only lately tried their website, and was very impressed with the ease and accessibility. I will be paying online with their e check program, from now on. Kuddos
I wish that I could put zero stars. This company is the very worst of reality companies out there. They are cheap and do not respond quickly to repairs. I moved to Austin hoping for a back yard that was functional. I wanted to have a fire pit. The tree was so large with many dead branches; never trimmed. The leaves filled the back yard. I know this sounds trivial, but the apartment was so dark and in disrepair. I moved away, and all is well. You will thank me later, but do not use them. I’ve lived all over the country. I have never had a worse experience.
Thank you Dana Hanzich at Neighborhood Reality for helping us find a nice property so fast and making the process seamless. I highly recommend Dana Hanzich and Neighborhood Realty for all your rental needs!
Easygoing agent Mrs Carol Fox was wonderful to deal with. Any problems that came up needing took care of, my wife called Mrs Carol and she took care of it right away. The maintenance man JP was very friendly and alway walked me through what he was going to do and explained what he did after doing it. He work in a professional & friendly way. There was no problem with this property management at all. We wish we could be still a tenant with them, but my wife wanted to move to a closer area where her job is located. Thank You Mrs Carol Fox for all that you did for us with our Leased home.
I just wanted to say how much we appreciate Patrick at NRPM. Weve lived on our property for about a month now and every issue weve had due to the unit being older has been fixed VERY promptly. We are so impressed and very appreciative.
Ive had nothing but great experiences with NRPM. Anytime there is an issue with my apartment they are super quick to respond, sometimes they even send someone out for repairs the next day. They replaced some old appliances with new ones and I didnt even have to ask. Patrick has definately gone above and beyond for us. I hope to stay in my current residence for the next couple of years until I purchase a home so the rental company is very important to me. So far so good!
I have had nothing but positive experiences with NRPM. They have worked with us from the very beginning. Things get repaired in a timely manner. Patrick is easy to reach and talk to. I cant think of a single negative experience.
Our experience with neighborhood realty property management has been a great experience. The online resident is so great! Every maintenance request has been handled quickly.
I have enjoyed living in my duplex for almost 7 yrs. My place is comfortable and the location is great. The staff at Neighborhood Realty are wonderful!
I had a rough start here but thankfully Patrick Juve was able to resolve my issue & for his customer service skills would be the reason for my review. :)
I love Neighborhood Realty! Patrick Juve has been nothing but a pleasure to deal with, especially with any maintenance issue I have ever had. I have a pool in the house I rent and I paid to have it cleaned with a contractor through Neighborhood Realty the second I was displease with his lack of service Patrick immediately intervened on my behalf and replace the contractor with another company that has been nothing but good to me, this is just one of the many incidents where Patrick has stepped up and made sure I was taken care of and had what I needed. I have had such a great experience with Neighborhood and Patrick I resigned my lease for another two years because what an amazing people they having working at their company. My opinion for those who have rated Neighborhood Realty poorly must have been bad tenants who destroy property or didn’t pay their rent. I have never had a maintenance request not fulfilled in a timely manner. I could go on and on about the level of first class service I have had with this amazing company!!!
Heres a warning for ya.1) when we moved in the unit was not cleaned like we were told it would be.2) master bedroom ceiling fan wasnt anchored to the ceiling correctly so with it just running like a normal fan does, it eventually pulled the ENTIRE CEILING DOWN. Thankfully no one was in the room, it was covered in insulation, drywall and sheetrock. Though they prorated the rent for the time we were not allowed to live in the unit, it took roughly 10days, and no one really told us we could move back in until we called multiple times. Even then the cleaning crew didnt do the best job, when moving out and moving furniture we realized they never cleaned behind larger pieces. No one came to they unit to do a final walk through before we moved in they wanted us to send photos of it finished.3) it has taken a month and a half(6weeks) for us to receive our deposit back. They gave little information on what they needed from us. When we asked about getting seperat checks instead of one large check with both names on it, they said it would be fine, but never told us to return the original check, we assumed it would be cancelled. 2weeks latter still havent recived our check call to find out we must return the original check before they can write new ones for us which they still only wrote one. Roommate and i no longer live together and one of us now lives across the country.4) they do not return phonecalls or emails unless its an emergancy even then it takes a while.
Bad experience with office communication. I was denied because Im a full time student, and my financial aid didnt factor in as income. The money Im loaned to pay for housing didnt factor into my ability to secure said housing. Contact with a man named Patrick was brief at best and less than helpful. There seemed to be a lack of willingness to work with my fiance and I on leasing the property, and I was pretty disappointed in the dismissive attitude that was often displayed on the phone. Upon researching on the internet, the myriad bad reviews seem to reflect my experience, and warn of a lack of organization on the part of the entire company. 1 star was as low as I could rate, this was a 0 star experience.
Helped me find a great place, communicated well and was very easy to apply.
Very friendly and know what they are doing.
I had a horrific experience with this company because of Patrick Juva. I was falsely accused with crazy accusations with no evidence, friends of mine were called inappropriate names and I was harassed by Patrick Juva. I was treated unfairly and over charged, your water bill will always be close to $200 every month. This is not a place that you should do any business with. I would give them a 0 not one star. I would appreciate for nrpm not to respond because you do not care about how anyone feels or they’re experiences. I’m not the first and I’m not going to be the last.
NRPM Austin is awesome. Always takes care of anything that needs fixing. Theyre the BEST
Thank you patrick for such a quick response to my maintenance issue..as always, gratefully margaret
They supposedly mailed me charges when my lease was up. I left them my forwarding address. They had my email and phone number. Guess how I found out? By looking at my credit report. I cannot contest because it is already filed. Ladies in the office are generally unenthusiastic about helping. Never cared for the email only for maintenance. If you have any choice try to avoid these people. Pure mediocrity. And after reading everyone elses reviews I had same issue. Worst electric bills ever. Def not eco friendly. Feel sorry for people who use them to lease their property.
Do not bother. These people are not professional in any sense of the word. After begging me to come out and check out a property following an awful first correspondence I was rejected for being honest about my experience and writing a bad review. Dodged a bullet and you should as well.
Very helpful and happy with my apartment
The staff at Neighborhood Realty & Property Management are always helpful and courteous!
I wouldnt bother unless you like living with mold, structural deterioration, a rude and lazy staff that will blatantly lie, ignored requests for maintenance repairs, your furniture, photo albums and other personal belongings being ruined by a water leak in the ceiling, moving into a dirty home, I could keep going but Ill save it for court.
Helpful and knowledgeable team
