Almost 4 years at this complex with our amazing view from the 3rd floor. However since getting a new owner this complex has tanked. Work orders routinely taking 2 to 4 weeks as well as multiple phone calls and emails to complete. Management not being responsive and trash around the regular dumpster and one they bring in at the back entrance. The typical reply to revieww is call us to see how we can do better. A great start would be to answer the phone and/or return calls. You will find past review of praise from me, when they get things correct Ill be happy to give kudos. Until then highly disappointed and I cant recommend this complex.
While it was slow to get the sink done at first once they recognized the urgency it was taken care of immediately. I appreciate too Robert the manager reaching out to apologize and explain the delay. It also gave me a chance to ask some questions about the work being done around the complex. There are other work orders in but not urgent like the sink was. I’m hoping that we can have a better relationship as time goes on and that things are maintained in a reasonable time frame. It is great that he reached out to explain the delay. While I had started to feel like I was being ignored understanding of their difficulties assured me that this is a good choice to be here.
I signed a lease with a move in date of 7/31. I got a call today 7/27 telling me that the unit Im supposed to be in had such bad damage I wouldnt be able to move in on that date and no ETA.I now have 4 days to find a new place to live. They are offering to put me in a smaller floor plan but even then they cant get me a date on when it will be ready.Im not even living here yet but they sure are off to a great start!!Edit - Id give half a star if I could. After I moved into the unit they had available (not the original unit) I found roughly a dozen nails in the carpet meaning they didnt clean at all and there are nails and soda caps in the disposal and a sickening gnat infestation.I will be contacting management in the morning.
The change of new management and leadership with Robert, the property manager and Jacob the assistant property manager is for the better. To start, it is not an easy job to be a PM or APM and I was not an easy tenant, yet they handled and exceeded the solution to my problems with a high degree of professionalism. Property managers tend to manage people more than buildings and their customer service is excellent. As a tenant and portfolio property manager myself, I know what is expected, where the faults can arise, and the industry quite well. They exceeded expectation. The only thing Id like to add for posterity and future tenants is this: management has nothing to do with the available parking. You can purchase cheap parking to protect your vehicle or a garage at a reasonable rate. This is not the fault of management but those who designed the parking to the complex. Also, the visitor parking is clearly labeled, have your visitors park there or they will get towed. Its all stated by leasing when you arrive and in your welcome packets. As I have not moved out yet, I will let everyone know if there is anything that comes up unexpectedly.
My family and I absolutely love living at this apartment complex! Aside from the amazing views and peacefulness, we really enjoy the management and maintenance team. Robert, Jacob, and Charlie are always so attentive to our needs and have great customer service skills. Thank you for making our home so enjoyable.
When i first came in i met with Jacob who really help me find the perfect place for me ! Everyone is great here i love it never thought i would be happy at an apartment. The staff is great! they are easy to contact and get a hold of when i need things. Shane is very kind and does a fantastic job making sure if there is any issues that i have gets taken care of. The maintenance team is very handy and friendly. I love the nice view and trails that are around the area its great and feels safe. I never have a problem walking my rabbit which is a plus for me people are usually very nice and so are their animals!
When the complex changed from Bell and Shane to Callista and whoever the manager is now everything went down the drain. Shane got things done. Management now doesnt know what they are doing and communication is broken- mistakes/issues are often created due to this. Maintenance is very very slow. Great view but that doesnt make up for poor management of property. Dont move here.
Everything was pretty decent when it was under Bell but as soon as the new company bought it out Everything went down hill. They never answer emails or phone calls and you can barely get someone to talk to you in person. Ive asked to get covered parking and was ignored for weeks before being out right blown off. After the freeze I have had water damage from the upstairs pipes bursting and they still havent fixed it. Im going on week 3 of having no wall in my living room after being told they were going to fix it in one day and it would be minimally invasive. Im definitely ready to trade in the moldy 2X4s for a proper wall. As soon as my lease is up Im getting out of this dumpster fire complex.
I absolutely love this community! I visit my friends here often and have been looking into leasing here myself and plan to move here. The office staff seems very friendly. The grounds are always kept up and it’s in such a great location. The pool is my favorite part and it’s always kept so clean! I can’t wait to potentially live here in the future!
Domingo was Awesome ...Took time to answer all my questions !!
We have loved this gated community. Maintenance is very friendly. Staff is friendly as well. The only thing I think I would change would be the ability to contact the office directly easier.
I just recently renewed my lease here at Bell Hill Country mainly due to the fact of the management team that serves this apartment community. Shane, Robert and Jacob have in my past experiences have always been more than helpful with any issues that have come up over the past several years that I have lived here. These guys are NOT the atypical apartment staff that you will find at other complexes. Always willing to help with any problems personally and promptly. I give them a 5-star rating and also wanted to mention the maintenance staff who are always helpful as well. If you are looking for a good community Bell Hill Country is it!
We’ve really enjoyed living here the past two years. Any issues I’ve had come up, maintenance or otherwise, are resolved quickly. I know most of my neighbors, and there is a family- and dog-friendly environment. I know all the maintenance staff, and I’ve never felt unsafe walking around the neighborhood any time of day or night. Office staff respond to issues quickly. Before moving in, all the negative complaints I saw online were about parking, so I bought a carport spot. There is limited parking, especially when the complex is at capacity. More lighting and a more secure fence at the dog park would be great additions!
I have lived here about 3 months and I absolutely love it. Zero complaints so far. Maintenance was very fast to respond about my dishwasher, and the dog park is the perfect size! Definitely recommend living here because it is quiet and everyone is beyond friendly. Not to mention those who work in the office are so accommodating (shoutout Robert).
One of my biggest frustrations about the complex was not receiving timely responses and follow up. Everyone at the front office is super nice, however; when I would e-mail regarding complaints such as dog waste not being picked up, I would not receive a response back until I e-mailed several times. I would have been much less frustrated if I would have received a response back letting me know my e-mail was received, most of the time I didn’t know if anyone had received it until I followed up again. I previously worked in Customer Service, and during times that we were short staffed, we still made it a priority to at least let customers know that their e-mails were received. Even though the service from the front desk was great in person, I often felt like my e-mails were disregarded. My review would have gone up if my e-mails would have been acknowledged the first time they were sent.My second reason for the low review is because there is a lack of accountability from some residents, and accountability was not enforced. There was constantly dog waste left all over the complex, trash left in the stairwells, dogs going to the bathroom on balconies, things of that sort. At times, it would be embarrassing to have a guest walk through the complex to get to our apartment. This is by no means a review of the maintenance staff – it is not their responsibility to pick up after residents. It would have been appreciated if this would have been enforced with residents. At times my husband would actually go out and pick up dog waste and trash that was not ours, because we didn’t want to step in it.We lived in the complex for around 2 years, and the parking did get worse over time. In the parking areas, additional lines were made through the spots, so it is not clear where to actually park. This caused a lot of double parking, and confusion on where the spots were, making parking tighter than it already was.One of the reasons that this review is getting any stars, is because of the maintenance staff (always super friendly and helpful), and Jacob – he always answers in a timely manner. While the clubhouse was closed, we could always call and e-mail Jacob to help us print documents that we needed last minute. I will say though, that when the clubhouse was open the public printer often had issues.Over the last 2 years, this complex did provide a roof over our heads, and for that I am grateful. We had a great view at the back of the building, and we enjoyed the location. Overall, I do think there are better options in the same area and price range.
You took away parking space so now we can barely open our car doors without hitting our neighbors cars. You are also now going to raise rent, which is already too high for a place I cant invite people to because the visitors spots are full and their cars get towed.Expand your parking area, and lower your rent.
I visited several apartment communities prior to selecting Bell Hill Country Apartments as my going forward choice. Interestingly, I found the Bell Hill Country representatives on balance to be excellent in working with prospective clients. Shane Adler and Robert Castillo were professional from day one. Many communities have beautiful accommodations. However not all communities have superior management staffing behind their brand.A community management team can make or break a living experience given that residents are dependent upon the community management to perform. Bell Hill Country Apartments has figured out that management can be the difference makers and have stepped up to the plate in a world class way. Bravo!
As a apartment locator it is such a pleasure taking my clients to visit this beautiful apartment community. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. I love working with Robert! I know my clients are in good hands with Robert and all of the staff at Bell Hill Country.
Im a locator and recommend this southwest property quite often! My clients always comment on how professional the leasing agents are, and how lovely the community grounds are. Robert Castillo in particular always takes great care of everyone and is always super helpful!
Been living here for three years now. My first time renting as a 18 year old and it could not have been a better experience. Fantastic staff and all around good community.
I have lived here for about a year.Pros:The staff is very responsive and friendly, the neighborhood is quiet and area is clean, lots of windows in apartment layout, you have quick access to Southwest parkway and 71Cons: visitor parking- they do tow after 6pm for nonresidents who are not in assigned visitor parking. They do communicate this message very well (get weekly emails as reminders) but the spots fill up fast.
Very comfortable community to live in. Staff is also very warm and welcoming every time I go to the leasing office. I would recommend this complex to live in to anyone!
I recently moved out of this property after spending 1 lease term here. I highly recommend this property and leasing company. If it werent for purchasing a home I would continue to lease here. Management is responsive and highly professional. Maintenance staff is friendly and will always wave when they drive by. Also, they are are quick to resolve any issue. The grounds are kept clean and beautiful year round. Apartments are cute and and reasonably priced for the area. 10 out of the 10 would recommend.
I have always liked Bell Hill Country Apts. Always Clean, the Staff is awesome, especially Robert. He is an excellent closer. Thanks Robert!
I have lived at Bell Hell Apartments for the past year and have enjoyed it tremendously the staff are friendly and attentive, if any problem arises they are quick to fix the complex is always kept clean and quiet
By far top notch customer service. Robert, Shane and Jacob are simply the best.
Everyone here made my move easy. Nothing but good, positive help from everyone on the bell team!
The staff are responsive and professional, and the grounds are well maintained. I enjoyed living there.
My fiance and I have lived at the Bell Hill Country Property since January 2020. I cant rave enough about the quality of humans that work here as well as the property. our apartment is modern and spacious. Being in Austin I appreciate the updated units and space so much. My favorite thing about this apartment is the yard. It is incredibly hard to find a reasonably priced apartment with a yard in the Austin area. We hit the JACKPOT!Let me tell you about the staff on property. As I am sure you know, they can make or break a property. Day one of being on property, Jacob was professional and welcoming. He drove us through the property and showed us all the amenities. Super helpful in the application process as well as all my inquires thereafter. The property manager, Robert, is delightful. He is responsive and extremely helpful with any need that may arise. He also remains accessible whenever you need him, which is really unheard of for management. The real star of the show here is Charlie. Charlie is our maintenance man onsite. WOW! I have lived in rental properties for more than 10 years and I have never seen a more responsive, respectful, and hard working maintenance staff. Charlie is phenomenal at getting the problem solved in a timely fashion. He is also so friendly! I know at previous properties Ive lived in Austin, I make sure I am home when a service person comes because I wouldnt trust them with a ten foot pole! But Charlie? Ill just let him go and go and he needs! I cant tell you how much I appreciate, Charlie. He is very knowledgable and super quick to get the job done. Its refreshing to have someone know what they are doing. Charlie, TOP-NOTCH!Overall I give this property a 10/10. It has a great location with easy access from Old Beecaves Rd. and 71, which makes for an easy come and go, it is very green, there are trails you can walk around the property, the staff is utterly fabulous, and everyone we met while living here has been friendly. Cant forget to mention that they are pet friendly too! If you are considering the property, I highly recommend!
Such a lovely management team! This community is beautiful, quiet, and always clean.
I love the location! Super friendly staff.
Absolutely fantastic place to live. I’ve been here about 3 years and the grounds are always clean, and any time I’ve had a maintenance issue from a broken lightbulb to a broken AC, they were here ASAP to fix it. The office staff is kind, courteous and prompt.Another cool thing I’ve noticed is the low turn over rate of staff. I recognize everyone that works here, including office and maintenance staff, which goes a long way, in my opinion, as commentary on the larger company and how they treat their employees. It’s also comforting because it truly feels like this is a home with friendly neighbors.Bonus, you won’t find nasty bugs or mosquitos at the pool because they were wise and planted natural bug-repellant plants all around it and it’s also some of the most beautiful vegetation I’ve seen. 😍Highly recommend. Ask for Shane or Robert.
They do not manage pet waste on the property well. I had multiple instances of dog feces on staircases and hallways to my unit. They will nickel and dime you on your way out and parking is terrible unless you pay for a covered spot. Plenty of options in the sameProximity.
My experience at Bell has been great! We have been here over four years and even with switches in maintenance and management questions and concerns are answered in a timely manner. Shane and Robert are current managers at this time and they are patient and quick to respond to each concern!
I love living here. The staff are very friendly and community is clean and kept well. Thank u for keeping the community well for the residents. 👍💕
I moved in a couple of weeks ago from out of state and the staff did a great job making sure my move in date would go in smoothly. Robert really made sure to take care of us and gave us a warm welcome to our new home.
Not at all compassionate and caring to its tenants during financial hardship caused by COVID-19. My husband is a nurse and they refuse to even take the $100 in OPTIONAL services off our lease agreement to help us out. Deplorable.
The lack of empathy and militant enforcement of made up rules/procedures renders this apartment complex as a DO NOT LIVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCREWED FOR EVERY LAST PENNYI didnt send an email the day of my very intense, stressful move out and I was charged a higher, pro-rated amount. Same story with these people, always pinching the dimes wherever possible. Sad!
My family has been living at Bell Hill since April 2019. Shane handled our move in. He was extremely professional and we had a very smooth move in. We did our research first and knew all the right questions to ask as far as parking, policies, and rules were concerned. The entire staff is courteous and know our faces. The staff is always available in the office and responses are quick. Bell Hill does an excellent job communicating with the tenants every week about the parking policy and as needed pet policy and fyi info. There is really no excuse here because I feel very informed. The noise is minimal and the neighbors we have are friendly. Its definitely a dog place but many tenants do not pick up after their dog and it detracts from the beauty of the property. My only complaint is that tenants flagrantly disregard pool rules or do not have pride in cleaning up after themselves. On frequent occasions tenants bring alcohol to the pool and leave the beer caps and tabs on the ground. Some smoke and leave their butts wherever they please. I have to watch that my children dont hurt themselves with the decorative glass pieces from the fireplace that people throw on the ground and in the pool. People will have parties on the weekend and often dont pick up their mess and just let it blow everywhere. I wish the pool area was managed better and people where held more accountable but its not enough to detract from having a good time. I just wish people had more pride for Bell Hill. Also, the parking is narrow and often its hard to find a spot. I highly recommend a carport or garage for peace of mind if arriving home after 5. Door dings are common so keep that in mind when making your decision. All things considered its still a great place to live and I would recommend Bell Hill.
Make everything way harder than it needs to be. I had my car towed over night for parking in covered parking (which is fair because i do not pay extra for it), however over half of their parking is an additional charge monthly and they do not have enough parking for residents. I circled around the entire lot 3 times and found no available resident or visitor parking. I gave up and parked in a covered that I have never seen a car in and assumed was unowned, I woke up before the sun was even up and found out my car was gone. Which made me late to work and jeopardized my job all because they scam their residents into having to pay to park at the place they already pay to live at. I called after finding out I had been towed to ask where Im expected to park in that situation and they said a nearby community. Im expected to park in a neighborhood that I do not live in and walk home alone in the middle of the night to the place that I do live to avoid being towed??? In addition to this fiasco, we have lived here for 3 months and have yet to receive mail keys. Bills have been paid late and had services shut off due to not receiving them. Speaking of mail, they use automated lockers that you are required to use for packages and they charge a set up fee for them. Additionally, When we moved in there was a leak in a toilet which caused the water to run constantly which is annoying, as well as raising our water bill dramatically, we had to call multiple times for 2 weeks before anyone came to fix it. We were also told that the units came with washers and dryers, they do not. so that was an additional unexpected move-in charge. Only been here for 3 months and hating it, not excited for the rest of the lease. The units are nice and so is the area, its a shame everything is such a pain.
Dear SARAH,Very unprofessional of you not to reach out to me personally. You have time to speak to your team but not a paying resident.1. Being short staffed is NOT an excuse for being ignored by Jacob. I’m a paying resident and it’s not my problem that you need to hire more employees because Jacob can’t do his job and reply back to emails.2. EXACTLY the washer and dryer need to be ordered to get on property. So why didn’t y’all order them when y’all knew my move in date? And if it needed to be ordered why did it show up BROKEN? A new dryer isn’t going to ship with a broken knob. I had a load of wet clothes just sitting there until my husband got home to take apart the dryer and fix it. We now KNOW better than to call the office for help because BELL HILL is under staffed and now the residents here have to suffer.3. Sarah, did you not read line 3? We were NOT verbally told by Jacob about the parking situation. I will quote AGAIN what Jacob said since you FAILED to read line 3 SARAH.“My bad man, I forgot to tell you not to park there.” - JacobSarah, feel free to reach out to me via phone or email. If not, we can continue our communication through this review thread since CLEARLY bell hill has communication issues. Thank you!
I love living here! Its great to live close to Austin but not be in the chaos of the city. The apartments are great and newly renovated. The property is pretty quite and has great amenities. The only downside is the parking is a little limited (That seems to be the story everywhere in Austin). The staff is great and the maintenance team makes sure you are taken care of.
I come by the office to pick up my packages and the staff has always done a great job helping me out with any questions. They are very attentive and are always friendly.
Great place to live. The office staff is really friendly. Ive never really had any issues with towing or parking. Overall, a great experience.
We could not have moved out of Bell Hill Country quick enough! We had nothing but negative experiences. Terrible maintenance and honestly just flat out incompetent management. I highly recommend not living here. If I could rate them with 0 stars I would.
I want to thank you for your feedback on Bell Hill Country. At Bell, we always appreciate hearing from our residents, whether it be a compliment or a concern, so that we can work to ensure all of our residents living experience with us is exceptional. I am sorry to hear about your experience with this community. We empathize with your frustrations and want you to know that both our office and maintenance staff are working diligently to keep our property beautiful and we will continue to keep safety a priority in the community. Furthermore, we appreciate your patience as our management team continues to make improvements to the community and fulfill all of our residents requests. If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to reach out and we would be happy to help. Thank you!
I was having issues with my AC but the office staff ensured it would be fixed up quickly. Thank you for being so quick to help me out!
I know some people have had issues with parking in the past but Ive personally never had any trouble. I have friends over frequently and theyve always been able to find a visitor spot on the complex without a problem.
I first moved to Bell Hill Country Summer 2017. Staff was polite and was able to help me find the kind of apartment I needed at the time. I lived in a one bedroom one bathroom apartment with a sunroom.Couple of things Id like to mention about my living experience at Bell Hill Country Apartments:Management/Office Staff:AH yes... GOOD LUCK on contacting anyone who actually works there. That office staff changes like you change your underwear. WHO THE HECK knows who the manager is? I never knew and when I did come across the manager, it was always a different person. Bell Hill Country does a horrible job on updating information on their website/office staff directory. I think an apartment complex should notify their residence in updates of managers/office staff.Moving/Entrance/Exit:Finding a spot to load/unload your moving truck is nearly impossible. Considering that this apartment complex is built in the Hill Country on a hill (this is their version of luxury living) means that all roads are narrow. Entering the apartment complex is a joke (lets hope your building is not on fire)! Main entrance is winding road that barely fits two cars, please be careful, youre more likely to get in a car accident at the entrance than on Mopac 5pm on a Friday afternoon! The main gate to the complex was ALWAYS BROKEN. So who cares right? Why have a remote to control the gate... or a gate code. The back entrance was the ONLY way to enter with your moving truck. Good Luck getting the gate to open! When you park your moving vehicle youre either going to 1. Block garages or 2. Block parking spots or 3. Hit the overhead parking. Theres absolutely no room to be safe in that parking lot.Parking:Parking at Hill Country is a joke. Personally, I think paying for parking is dumb (its just another way for them to make more money) but I HAD TO get parking spot because when I would arrive from work there would be absolutely no parking spots available. And the ones that were available BARELY fit a car, let alone a full sized truck. Unless you dont mind squeezing in between vehicles entering your exiting your vehicle and have some dings from your car, then go for it! Yes, visitor parking is available BUT theyre always taken up by residents because, once again... theres no parking available. I highly suggest that Bell Hill Country gets rid of those ridiculous garages and create more parking, why do you have it make it difficult for people to live?E-Mails:Contacting anyone at Bell Hill Country is nearly impossible. Office staff take WEEKS to reply. Who does that?I moved out of Bell Hill Country Summer 2019. Thank Goodness! Please consider another place of residence. Live anywhere else but here.
Ive been at Bell Hill Country a little over a month now, and am very satisfied with my decision. The location is outside of what most people consider Austin proper; however, it takes around 20 minutes to get downtown via Southwest Pkwy/MoPac, depending on time of day and traffic. The complex is clean and updated, although furnishings are pretty standard. For the unit size and price, this place is a bargain compared to most Austin apartments. I previously lived in a very inexpensive, moderately sized apartment just outside of downtown, and I happily pay a few hundred more per month for a much better experience.
Your guest will get towed. ( not parked in a handicap )
Original Review: If the place cared to know, I would explain my rating. Good luck to anyone when on this property.Response to First Response of Property (12/25/2019):Ive been visiting this apartment complex for about three years on a weekly basis to see my daughter. Ive always parked where I was told I could park. There are a few things I havent liked about this complex but Ive ignored them. This past week was the icing on the cake. Thursday night my daughter went to the ER. After work on Friday, naturally, I went to see how my daughter was doing. Checking if she was okay. Wasnt there very long. Parked where Ive always been told to park. Upon leaving, the vehicle was gone.We first called to report a stolen vehicle since there was nothing to show or tell what had happened. My daughters mom called the towing number to check there. The vehicle had been towed from where Ive always been told I can park.Walking to the front office in the rain and in 40-something degrees for an Uber added to the frustration. The cost of the Uber plus getting the vehicle out right before Christmas added even more frustration. Slipping on the drainage grate walking up the hill strained my left knee somehow but I managed not to fall. My knee now swells up but it seems like its okay. So, after years of visiting this place with not the best experiences, this was icing on the cake (candles included). Theres nothing like spending all your Christmas money on something else when checking in on your daughter the next day after she was in the ER, the week before Christmas, and straining a knee when a wet drainage grate is in your path to the gate.We did search for the signs. The first one, while driving, is just about hidden behind a tree while turning in. The others are legible when parking close to the signs or getting out of the vehicle to read. As far as wayfinding to whatever spaces they refer to, nonexistent wayfinding.I am aware of what the state regulations are about parking space designations. If a lot of people are being towed, it would be best to mark all spaces, even those reserved for residents (visitors, permit only, covered parking permit only, reserved, etc). Drivers are limited on how much they can read in a moving vehicle. This is why accessible spaces are marked in the parking spaces, with signage. Drivers park in unmarked spaces all the time everywhere (walmart, mall, restaurants, apartments, etc.). Clear communication is always best.
My family and I moved to Bell Hill on June 7, 2019 from Chicago. We have been here for a total of 18 Days. Let’s just say we are very uncomfortable, miserable, and unhappy with the service we are receiving. It’s been nothing but problems for the past 18 days. Let’s start from the top. Keep in mind I have a paper trail of several unanswered emails to back my complaints.1. We were verbally told by Jacob that our POD can only be parked in a particular spot for 24 hours and just to contact him before it comes so he can make arrangements. Okay perfect! So I coordinated with the POD company and my husband emailed Jacob on June 11, 2019 when the Pod is to be delivered on June 14, 2019. No response from Jacob at all. We were frantically trying to contact him about where the company should drop off our Pod. He never responded. So we just parked the Pod in an open spot and quickly unloaded. Lucky it was never towed or never any issue. The ONLY ISSUE at hand is JACOB NOT responding. After the fact, I finally got him on the phone and told him that it was very unprofessional not to respond.2. When we were on the phone with Jacob in Chicago, he ensured us that we would have a washer and dryer in our unit. We arrive to Texas and the washer and dryer is not included. After a dispute, we get approved for the washer and dryer. PERFECT! Well JACOB promised the set on Monday. Never showed up.. he promised the set on Friday... never showed up and then finally after several ignored emails JACOB finally gets us our set a week and a half late! Our set arrived, and the dryer is BROKEN!! My husband and I KNOW by now NOT TO CALL JACOB because he DOES NOT RESPOND. So my husband had to take it upon himself to fix the dryer.3. June 24, 2019. Our vehicle gets towed. We were told that we were parked in a reserved spot. That was NOT labeled reserved. We were told that it was “common knowledge not to park there.” JACOB even said to my husband “ My bad man I forgot to tell you not to park there.”As a business owner, I am one to always show grace and keep my complaints minimal BUT this is unacceptable, inappropriate, and just down right disgusting service. So go ahead and respond to this complaint online LINDSAY from customer service. Maybe you can respond to all the emails and calls that JACOB has not returned.
Parking is terrible. There are about 16 visitor parking spots for roughly 120 apartments. The payment system is flawed as you can only pay by credit card online if you dont pay early and then they charge you a fee for paying with a Credit Card. Forcing a certain type of payment on someone and then charging them extra for that payment... Sounds pretty close to extortion to me.This place is more hassle than it is worth. Id advise against signing here.
I went to my friends apartment to drop off a Christmas present and then I hung out there for 2 hours to play video games and hang out and they do not make their visitor spots clear whatsoever I could of swore I was in one and I got towed!! They don’t help at all or tell you where your car is at! I had to find it myself! They are not visitor friendly and that is why my friend is moving out!! Because 3 of his friends have already gotten towed and now I have to use all my Christmas money to pay off the towing company! They have no respect for you or your vehicle or your friends vehicles!
I recently moved from Minnesota and absolutely love living at Bell Hill Country. The staff is professional and helpful, the grounds are kept clean, and the units are spacious and affordable. I plan to continue renting here until I can afford to buy a home.
I lived here since 2012 and all I have to say is keep up the good work Bell Hill Country! Shoutout to Charlie for being such an amazing maintenance guy!
I was in the middle of trying to edit my review comments then got distracted & hit 2 stars. No issues here. Jacob has been helping us since we moved here, Charlie is very friendly & we always see him & the maintenance crew working so we understand how busy their schedules are. Our neighbors are quiet & friendly, we have a car port & never has any issues with ppl parking there, the area is always clean, etc. The only thing I have to complain about is the hill we have to walk up to get to the gym lol We like it here at BH!
Im not sure why people have had negative experiences with the staff. Whenever we moved in, Jacob was very friendly and ensured our transition to our new home went by smoothly.
Bell hill country is a terrible place to live. The staff could care less about you as a resident or any issues you have, if you ever needed the courtesy officer for any reason you can count on him not showing up, the staff in the office is a joke they do not resolve problems here on the property they avoid them or tell you to move. (Offering no help) parking is terrible. I am a resident here (pay all my bills on time) and the have towed two of my vehicles and were aware they were mine and did not reimburse me or do anything to help. These apartments are not somewhere to live with enjoy ment and the staff knows that. Most of the staff lives here and honestly they probably don’t like it either. DO NOT MOVE TO BELL HILL COUNTRY.!!!!!!
I would give zero stars if I could. We moved into Estancia Apartments in 2014 and absolutely loved them. In May of 2015 Bell Partners took over. The following 6 months were full of construction, angry management and disrespectful construction workers. When going in to discuss renewing our lease, I was SCREAMED at by the apartment manager while trying to have a conversation. I was upset that they were increasing my rent by $200 a month, while forcing me to live in a construction zone (it was not a construction zone when I moved in). They also told us that we would have to live with construction in our apartment, while paying more rent. Not only that, she told me I should just move out - didnt try to even meet in the middle. Please be advised that this property is NOT gated, even though there are access gates at the front and the back (the back gate is perpetually broken, they dont care). The apartment manager informed me that anyone could walk through the woods, so not to consider my home a gated community.Construction workers start hammering away at 730 am. Also, one of the construction workers backed into our car causing $300+ in damage and no one would admit who did it. Management would not help, the construction managers would not help. Also, the construction workers park in whichever parking spot they want, even if you pay for it. They also sit around in garages and under carports most of the day. Re-painting was a nightmare, it turned out sloppy and took FOREVER.Their pool is nice, but the gym is a joke. Nothing works and they get irritated if you inquire. Id look elsewhere. If youre going to pay this much per month to live here, they should at least treat you like a CUSTOMER, not a hassle. Corporate management was not any help either. Bad company.
Been here one year. I love my apartment. Im on the ground floor barely hear anything outside of standard apartment living noises. I dont have bug issues Im close to Southwest park way its a reasonable rent especially for Austin. I cant complain about them bettering the apartment with construction. Plus management has always been amazing with me. My garbage disposal went kapooy on a Saturday and they came out same day with in a couple hours and fixed it. No other issues at all.
Ill start by saying we were definitely sceptical about this place when moving here just because of some old reviews. We did the research and decided to give it a shot. That was nearly 3 years ago and we are still here.Great choice by us.Jacob and Robert are awesome and extremely nice and hardworking. The maintenance staff is super personable and always stops for conversation and makes you feel at home. Never had an issue with any staff or residents. Just a very quiet place.I do personally pay $35 for a carport to ensure parking space, but the other vehicle in the household doesnt and its never an issue. We havent had any issues with the apartment minus normal maintenance that comes with the territory, and its always fixed extremely quickly.Location is great as well! Close to the Y, several restaurants, gas stations, HEB, mopac..lots to do in the area.Overall great spot and we wont move until we get a house.
The apartments are fine but management is terrible. I have a simple issue that I needed resolved and talked with the community manager, vp of operations, and the chief operating office and got differing answers at all levels. The level of incompetence is absolutely bananas. Do not move here, you will be thankful
I just signed a lease with bell hill country this weekend 3/26/16. I will be moving into the community on 4/15.I had the most wonderful experience with Dey, she was incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly while very professional. I could not have had a more perfect experience and her attitude alone makes me pleased to be renting. I hope its a foreshadowing of our stay in these newly renovated, very beautiful, and wonderfully located apartments. Thank you Dey for being a fabulous worker!
Nice pool. Staff doesnt seem friendly and arent very responsive. Just dont seem to care a great deal. Dont reply to emails and its hard to get them on the phone. Overpriced relative to area. Arbitrarily change fees associated with rent (neighbors pay different amounts etc)
I have been a resident for about 8 months, I have had the unfortunate luck of living above a couple I have had to call the police on 3 times due to what sounds like terrible violence. I have informed the management and nothing has come from it. Which leave me in my apartment regularly scared to leave because of what ever is happening below me.
The worst property I have ever dealt with. The area manager is awful, the manager avoids when she knows the issues at hand. They do not care about their tenants at all. They argue when it is not necessary. Do not choose to lay your head here at night. It will cost you. I used to like this property till they stopped caring about their tenants.
Location and staff is great
The apartment complex and the towing company have a hidden contract deal for the towing company to meet a certain quota every month. We have proof. You know who you are.
The apartment is nice the management makes you not want to live here ever again and the parking is beyond atrocious management will no work with you on literally anything and its just the front office other staff are cool (i.e maintenance and trash)they make up arbitrary rules about everything and make up dumb fines to enforce them trash for example is valet you pay 30 dollars a month and they tell you that the trash guys can only pick up one trash bag in the small trash bin they provide but when you ask the trash guys they dont care as long as the bags are not over flowing or breaking I could go on about dumb rules, fines, terrible parking and horrible management and soooo many emails but I think you get the point live somewhere else if you have the choice please do yourself a favor trust me
Before you go any farther DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!! They seem happy enough to take your money and help you sign your lease. After that good luck! Maintenance is nothing but promises when they finally do fix things they use drywall screws to piece it together instead of fixing it properly! The gates that havnt worked in over two years and youre constantly promised that they will be fixed in the next week or two but that never happens. Then your lease is up in you finally decide to move out smartest thing Ive ever done, Then after moving out you are sent outrageous bills for thing that were broken before you moved in!!!! And they want to charge you for having to replace the carpet When upon moving in you notate that is pulling away from the wall and you can see the tax strip that should be holding it down he also find burns paint spots so severe it makes the carpet feel crunchy. Then they will train charge you $400 to fix a garage door which was broken upon moving in. And never worked right the whole time I lived there . And dont bother to ask Dan for holp youll get nothing but excuses and the runaround and then he will blame you in the end. As far as the facility goes the office and pool area or nice enough whatever theres not something broken like the grills. As far as safety goes dont even bother asking them to replace lights that are broken or expect maintenance to do routine checks to make sure things are visible at night .......... I have been trying to get a hold of some one in the office for weeks about my bill that was sent to collections now and still have not been able to get a hold of anybody . In other words you can kiss your credit score goodbye if you decide to live here.
Overall Good place to live
I have looked at the reviews here and I see most of the low ratings are because of poor management, maintenance and positive atmosphere. Funny to say, I did come by for few minutes today as new client to get info and possibly rent, felt strange behavior by staff member right away. She was helping another customer but No Hello, no just a moment, ignored me untill I waved to get attention after time haha. Office looked nice, but I was disapointed and left. Make sense for low ratings now. Visited other places the day before, wow was so great to discuss all details with pleasant person. Anyways...However, I called office phone number online and spoke to different department where lady was extremely nice. So I will come by to see it on Monday, dispite reviews and rudeness by office clerk at the moment and other things that did not make sense to me when I got in there haha just funny.I am giving another try and will rerate it shortly.
Someone hit my CAR in parking, I know the CAR number but dont know how to contact him. Since it was a minor dent so I wanted to talk to CAR owner first rather than directly reporting it to Police. So I tried to post a message on community portal to contact the owner, but management rejected my message & asked me to report to police. I dont want to trouble the owner for this small mistake, but apartment Management want to put that CAR owner into trouble by forcing me to report the incident to police which I dont want to do because its a small mistake & can be ignored with a warning. I was very disappointed with such an attitude of the management where they create unwanted trouble for a residence.
Maintenance always are professional, and friendly
Never lived here, visited a friend and saw the issues the maintenance department refused to fix...
There is NO parking..... friend lived there, cheaply built, can hear neighbors, and they tow ... not enough parking!!
Terrible parking, terrible maintenance, overpriced for low quality living
Just don’t come here
Definitely do not lease here not a good company culturally flawed
Bad experience with emergency call,, i got locked out of my apartment and for some reason i couldn’t open my door using my key,, i called the emergency number and it took them almost 3 hours to send a maintenance guy to replace the door locker,,,,
Love the enormous Texas flag. Its nicely tucked away from the highway and the grounds looked really well kept. The location is nice being on the periphery of the city. We chose another property to lease from but this one is worth checking out.
