I am leaving an honest review after living in this complex for 2.5 years. Overall, the building is a value for the area, but is in need of serious structural improvement and renovations. The two units I lived in have not looked to have not been renovated in the time since it was built. The appliances (shower / toilet) were rusty and warping was shown on window and door areas. Elevators and doors were rusted and sometimes out of order. Fire alarms would go off at random hours which was disruptive. The nicest features are the amenities (pool and gym). If you choose to live here, make sure you park above the locking gate as I had two car break ins, which can happen at any apartment, but I feel security could be increased here. Management is OK overall, but will randomly close access to pool amenities with no communication. Overall, it is a value for the location but has gone downhill in the time I lived there in my opinion.
This place....let me tell you!!! I have been enjoying my stay here and love that they are painting the rails to update the place a little. Their team is helpful when I have to reach out for any questions or maintenance things. Overall, my stay here has been nice! I would definitely recommend, if you are okay with the area construction and enjoy being easily accessible to the interstate.
I originally wasn’t going to write a review until I moved out. My lease is up in February 2022 but I will be breaking my lease within 60 days. If you wanted me to tell you one word to describe these apartments, JANKY. They are advertised as luxury and the only thing luxury about these apartments are the walk-in closets. I have three incidents I will describe to you. The first one is simple and I didn’t think anything of it. The outlet in my bathroom went out and the leasing office was very quick to come and repair it. About the outlets I would like to let you know that nearly every outlet in the apartment, you have to constantly press the reset button in order for them to work. I lived with that even though these are described as luxury apartments and you’re paying luxury prices. The second incident was quite strange. I noticed water damage in the ceiling in my bathroom that wasn’t there before. Low and behold right over my shower there appeared to be a leak. There was a constant drip over my shower for days (dirty brown water) and you can imagine the smell of water damage and mildew for days. I noticed this drip on a Friday and the leasing office is unable to service you all weekend, so of course the water damage got worse and spreaded in my bathroom making it very unsightly. Once they finally were able to come on Monday I assumed that they would repaint what was damaged because it is very unsightly and not like a luxury apartment. After fixing the leak they left the water damage there unpainted. It looks disgusting. The third incident may be isolated. Im not sure where the noise was coming from. I was dealing with a loud vibration and knocking noise starting at seven in the morning all throughout the day. As you can imagine being woken up out of your sleep at 7 AM is enough to piss anyone off. At first I assumed it would go away, but it didn’t for a whole month. I called the leasing office and submitted complaints online. The noise still appears often. Im not sure what they can do about that. I just decided to include it because it inconvenienced my life while living here. The very last incident that has driven me to break my lease happened this morning. I have been working from home lately and I haven’t driven in a few days. This morning when I went out to my car I noticed that my car had been ransacked. I leave my car doors unlocked in case thieves are looking for something so they don’t break my window. Of course I don’t keep any valuables in my car, I know better. I decided to call the leasing office and let them know about the incident. The first time I called I wasn’t able to get through but after I left a message and called back again I was miraculously able to speak to somebody. Mind you, it is a Saturday today so I wasn’t sure if I will be able to speak to somebody. After telling them what happened to me they seem to be very careless and pointed out that I left my door unlocked. Thank God I left my door unlocked so that my window wouldn’t be busted. Again these apartments are described as luxury so they should be secure. They said they would look at the cameras on Monday but they would have to look through three days of footage and they may not be able to find anything because I may have parked in a parking space that wasn’t covered by the cameras. I find that the leasing office is very nonchalant when he comes to residence. I really don’t appreciate this for what I’m paying. I would just like to be treated like somebody cares a little bit about what’s going on. They proceeded to make it seem like it was my fault and my car was broken into. They will likely do nothing about the situation. I hope that no one else’s car is broken into in this complex. This is only my 4th month here. I moved in on January 9, 2021. A 60 day notice is required in order to break your lease I will be submitting mine today.
I toured ARIUM Westside recently and really liked the property. Unfortunately... they dont have any available 2 or 3 bedrooms for my move in date which is why I could not lease but I will keep them in mind for next year.
This place is easily accessible to my job, as well as great restaurants! I enjoy living here and looking to get a larger apartment here with my boyfriend soon. The Officers are really friendly too. Overall, great place!
Decent location. Only complaints I really have are that the parking garage is not well kept or the elevators. They tend to be dirty or polluted with food from people littering. Elevators have been basically down since I moved in a year ago, call boxes for guest only work on level one. I’ve gotten mutually boots even though I have a resident pass if I park on level one or level two for too long. Other than that, my unit is comfortable, walls are really thick I never hear my neighbors or the people on top of me. Maintenance man is really nice. Average rating.
I have loved living at this property. The staff in the office have always been helpful and prompt at returning emails and phone calls. When we walked though the apartment at move in, we noticed that while we requested an accent wall it had not been painted. We brought this to the offices attention and they had someone in the unit within the hour to paint and he completed the job quickly. The maintenance staff are equally as wonderful and friendly. Ive put in several requests and most are fulfilled same day or early the day after, including having to get a new washer/dryer.There is a lot of guest parking and the office staff are very generous with extra guest passes. Not a lot of noise carries through the units, we can sometimes hear people walking by but everyone that lives here seems to be really respectful of noise levels in the halls. The only negatives I have are that while we dont live on the ground floor, we had a few bugs. That was easily fixed with some indoor/outdoor pest spray. Ive also noticed that people do not really clean up after their pets in the pet area behind the property. It really looks terrible and during the summer it smelled awful. The property is in a great location, there are a few restaurants downstairs that are good, and several more within walking distance. Its honestly in such a good location that weve joked its a 15 min drive to anywhere you want to be in Atlanta.
I have lived at ARIUM Westside for over a year. The office staff is really nice and very helpful. Maintenance responds to requests in a timely manner and always does a great work. I love how close the apartments are to Georgia Techs campus which really helps my commute to school. The restaurants downstairs are a plus. With the convenient location it makes the need for a car very minimal. I have recommend my friends for residency here.
I love living at Arium. The leasing office does a great job and so does management. They always answer in a timely manner and ensure that residents’ voices are being heard. They also have great amenities, free parking, and up to date appliances.
This place is very terrible with management, amenities, safety, and cleanliness. There has been times were I would call the leasing office almost 8 times in a row and would stand outside the door of the office looking at them gossiping instead of working. I had a washer unit that stopped working the management initially told me I would be responsible for paying for a replacement for a faulty washer they had. Yet they continued to make me wait nearly two months with no working washing machine just to come back to say I wont have to pay and I would just get a washer from another unit (which I initially stated they should do.) that in turns doesnt work effectively either and over soaks my clothes. This is something Ive also put in a work order and tried talking to management for solution but take a wild guess and believe that I still have no answer to my issues. If that doesnt make it worse of an option for you try this constant car break ins in a safe apartment, car booting company that will boot residents and require them to pay in the garage youre paying for. ALL the elevator units seeming to be down weekly and you live all the way at the top floor. And when you try to walk downstairs theres homeless men sleeping in the stairway. And guess what? Arium westside does nothing to fix any of these issues in return they raise their rent add some lack luster unit updates (smart door and thermostat) and think that helps them compete with the newly built apartment across the street that Im sure people will chose over them. For the price youd pay for monthly youd think youd get just a tad bit more. It is one leasing agent that is helpful Geneva, she did help me out a-lot along the way I honestly hope she gets to move on from this place. Overall I would rate my experience with this apartment a 0/5 I would never stay here again even if they completely renovate the place and was managed by a different group.
I lived at Arium Westside (or Tenside as it used to be known) for 8 years before moving out. I found it to be a mixed bag and a place you should only go to if you cant find anything better. The good: Quality and design of the apartments is good and in spite of some problems here and there its quite secure with gates. The neighborhood isnt as good as it used to be but its still pretty good for Atlanta. The amenities, including game room, pool and package room, are very useful. Modern building with a central location. Management has a lot of problems (see below) but is generally helpful. Once they even gave me access to security camera footage in order to help me find my lost car and it was the key to finding out what happened. The valet trash service is also very convenient and surprisingly reliable. The bad: This place has gone through multiple management changes during my residence and every new management was worse than the previous one. The current management is friendly and courteous (as long as you dont have unpleasant things to say, in which case they totally will hang up on you), but they are part of the corporate machine that employs them and they WILL milk you for money whenever possible, especially if you are moving out. They deliberately withheld from me that it would be cheaper for me to let the lease run out when moving out. They ended up pocketing my deposit and a fee for breaking my lease and then asked for even more money for cleanup. Always remember that they are only after your money and only look out for their own interests. The place is also not the cleanest anymore, especially since they pretty much stopped cleaning the corridors after Covid hit. If cleaning less during a pandemic sounds wrong, thats because it is. Additionally, often seeing animal refuse, oil slicks, discarded boxes etc. in the corridors isnt very nice. Because residents arent allowed to park in the lower floors, its very easy to get booted. People also drive very wildly in the parking lot and park in the weirdest positions like at a 45 degree angle in the middle of the road and nothing is ever done about it.The ugly: Maintenance, while usually quick, is only good for basic tasks, and whenever they hire contractors its a disaster. A crack in my bathtub once caused water to seep into the wall and rot the wood as well as somehow getting to the walk in closet and ruining most of my wifes shoes and a few jackets. The carpenters they hired sawed wood inside my apartment without covering the furniture and when we came back we found a thick layer of sawdust on all of our belongings. The next day we complained so they brought plastic sheets and cleaned up their mess, but that still doesnt make it right. The repair job on the wall was extremely shoddy and it looked like part of the wall was sticking out. The repair took three months because they worked when they felt like it. Finally, the building is noisy and getting noisier, while having very little in the way of isolation. It is a complete gamble when renting because if you end up having a rowdy neighbor, theres very little you can do about it other than listen to party music and smell weed smoke until 4 am or something. The management wont do anything other than send emails about it (i.e. nothing useful). You may also get bogus fees for trash violation etc.with no evidence or warning, which they make you pay before reimbursing it if you challenge successfully.
Location is great, right in the heart of West Midtown! Walking distance to so many things. They dont charge for parking (like a lot of places in the city) which is a definite plus! The staff is excellent, especially Saadia! She has been great to me since day 1. I love the amenities, especially the 24 hour fitness center and clubroom.
I toured ARIUM Westside recently. Although the timing/availability didnt work for my desired move-in date, my experience touring the property was great and it is a really great location. The staff was very knowledge. I have def recommended the community to a few friends.
Lived here 3+ years now. Great location from midtown, downtown and the Interstate. The people in the leasing office have always been kind and helpful. All of my maintenance requests have been handled quickly. The pool, weight room and clubhouse are well maintained and clean. Overall great experience here
I moved to Westside a few months ago and have enjoyed living here so far. I was impressed by the kindness and the willingness to help by the office workers from my very first visit. I love being able to go to the fitness room and not having to travel to the gym. I also like the fact that I dont have a long commute to GSU.
My mother lives in the area and she recommended this community when I moved here from Michigan. I made my decision to move here and so far, living here, I have not had any issues. I love the area and it is very convenient to restaurants and the interstate.
Both staff and maintenance are doing their utmost best to keep building in good shape. there is a need to clean the breezeways and walls. Most residents should try to not let garbage bags leak. Otherwise, the landscaping is so lovely. Close to many stores, Atlantic Station. Easy drive to Piedmont Park., the Botanical Garden. Georgia Tech. quite safe too. Can not wait to see the breezeways cleaned. Required masks in office. great!
I work in the area and was recommended to this community. Decided to choose here and so far Ive had no issues. I also love the convenience to the interstate.
I enjoy living at ARIUM Westside. Staff is helpful. Nice place in the heart of West Midtown. No complaints :)
Always closing the pool during the summer. So ghetto
Arium Westside has the most awesome staff hands down!! After meeting the entire maintenance staff and office staff I immediately knew I made the best decision moving to Arium Westside! I feel so at home!
I’ve lived in Arium for a year and a half now and have very few complaints. This is a great place to live: great location, good communication with repairmen and the leasing office, and great amenities.
Best apartment to choose if you plan to stay in midtown Atlanta. The leasing office and maintenance staff are very helpful. Theyre friendly even when youre moving out. You will miss them when your current management office isnt up to par.
My name is Raphael and I have been fortunate to call Arium Westside home for over 2 years now. The amenities and location are impossible to beat and you get the life of luxury you’re looking for. With restaurants on the ground level makes staying here a pleasure. What really sets the property apart are the people who work here. The office staff and maintenance are polite, attentive and always take care of me with whatever issues arise, which is rare. I can truly say they all are absolutely amaizing! Therefore, I highly recommend calling here home.
Really enjoyed my time here. Great staff. Walking distance from a lot of good places as well!
This was the BEST experience! Gennia was my leasing agent and I would recommend working with her! She’s knowledgeable professional and informative. She answered all of my questions and even followed up with a detailed email of every step I needed to take. Ask for GENNIA! It’s the customer service for me:)
Apartments are fairly nice, but management is not helpful and there is a serious fly infestation that has not been taken care of, even though residents pay a monthly pest fee. Parking situation was fine until they hired a booting company that will now boot your car and charge $75 if your resident sticker isnt completely visible, and the apartment management will do nothing. Maintenance people were very nice and helpful, but management tries to nickel and dime you for every possible thing. Would stay away and find somewhere cheaper with better management, if possible.
Arium reviewI’ve been a resident at the Arium for over 2 years. My experience with the staff and the community has been amazing. My leasing agent Gennia is so awesome ... along with the other staff members Saadia and the Property Manager Kelly. The staff always makes you feel welcomed when you visit the office. They are professional, attentive and always provides a high level of service.Since I’ve been a resident at the Arium, all of my maintenance requests were handled with professionalism, fast and on point.I’ve never met a maintenance tech like Stephanie. She is so amazing, great personality and she definitely knows her stuff.Outside the staff, the community is well maintained and the units are modern and spacious.I love the community amenities. The state of the art fitness center is large and well equipped. The parking in the covered parking garage is well secured.. If you don’t want any unwanted surprises, just make sure you have your parking pass. The clubhouse is huge and a great place to hangout. The clubhouse is equipped with several lounging areas with large flat screen TV’s, kitchen area, several dining areas, a pool table, fooseball and other games. The large glass sliding doors opens to the awesome resort style pool, grills and outdoor dining. The business center with cyber cafe’ is a great place for my business meetings. Especially the closed door conference room with flat screen TV. I love that we can use the white wall as a dry erase board!I think every parent with white walls and has kids that like to write on walls...... Need to use the paint that turns your walls into a dry erase board.. Very cool! Also, the restaurants and salons that are located on the 1st floor of the building is a bonus.Very happy resident 😊
I am a current resident at Arium Westside and I have to say I love it. The pool is completely brand new with furniture, the clubhouse and gym are well kept and maintained. The maintenance team is one of the best I have ever experienced. Whether is a simple routine maintenance or a more urgent request the turn around time is always less than 24 hours.
You get a lot of space for what you paid for. Expect $150+ utility for 1B1B. Good location to GT. Not so convenient for grocery if you dont have a car.
ARIUM Westside is centrally located to major restaurants and easily accessible to interstates. Additionally, the office staff is very friendly and accommodating. Often times monthly events are held for residents. A nightly patrol officer is present each night for an additional sense of security.
My first year here was awesome. My second year here was a nightmare. We had a unhinged guy living next door who would regularly have violent outbursts at all hours of the night in arguments with his s/o, involving screaming, verbal abuse, pounding on the walls, etc. This was something we dealt with for months. He confronted us directly with vague threats. The police came multiple times and he was arrested. We felt unsafe to leave our rooms. HE WAS STILL LIVING THERE. We continued reporting it to management every week and they said they were working on it, but couldnt do much because he was ignoring their phone calls?? The worst living experience Ive had. We ended our lease early and got out. To be fair they did get rid of the guy.. after like 5 months of nonstop stress and fear. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone after my experience.
I have lived here almost two years and renewed my lease- the maintenance staff and leasing office staff are great! The area is always very clean and feels safe. At the price point it far exceeds expectation. I haven’t had any issues with parking either, they are very clear about the policies when you move in. Free guest parking is a huge plus as well. The only downside since living here is that the one-time pet fee is a steep $500 on top of a $15 monthly “pet rent” for my cat, although I’m sure this is pretty standard among apartments in the area.
After leasing at Arium Westside for a year, I give the property 5 stars. The great part about living at Arium Westside is that you are able to get anywhere in the city quickly. The food downstairs is great for a late nick snack. The pool area is beautiful, as well as the gym. Leanna and Sadiaa are so kind in the office. They are always willing to ensure residents a pleasant experience. Maintenance is very responsive and genuine, I loved getting to know them! Thank you Arium Westside for a wonderful year!
I really love living here, the amenities are great since theyve been updated and the maintenance staff are always eager to do a good job and are genuinely concerned with doing well. The leasing staff are very pleasant and I enjoy the community mixers theyve hosted. Hopefully there will be more with the remodeled clubhouse with glass doors that open out to the pool - a beautiful touch.
Stay away! Management gone bad. They will enter your apartment without notice and without a valid reason based on whats written as acceptable in the lease. They have contracted with a company to install fiber internet improvements in all the apartments. And they say that there is no opting out but they do not have a provision in the lease for entering without notice and without permission for improvements. So they will break their own lease terms. After entering without notice, the contractors theyve hired then will move around your personal belongings without respect and leave trash and garbage behind from improvement work. They wont even respect privacy and coordinate with tenants to do work at a reasonable time for them. This all could be avoided if the management was just a little professional and allowed residents to opt out or coordinate installation with the cable company (which is usual at every other place Ive lived). Or to make improvements when the tenants arent living in the apartments. Its ridiculous to make invasive improvements while tenants are living in apartments, especially when they also enter without notice or permission.
Lived here for about half a year and overall I would say Arium Westside is a solid place to live. The management is friendly and I haven’t had any problems with them. Any maintenance I’ve requested has been extremely fast.As other recent reviews mention, they do seem to find ample reasons to come into your apartment(they barged in one morning while my wife was in the shower and scared the living h*** out of her). so make of that what you will, that’s probably the only real con.
Lived here for 2 years, and renewed my lease once. Couldnt be happier! The highlights are the helpful and friendly maintenance staff, as well as the leasing office. Parking is convenient, included, and there is always plenty of room. The apartments are spacious and modern, for a decent price. Only issue is the 500 dollar pet fee and monthly pet rent.
Terrible management will enter your apartment without you being there. When trying to access it sounds like they are trying to break the door down. If you complain nobody cares and just argues with you. Have had several instances where they are beating on the door so loud I contemplated calling 911 because I thought someone was trying to break in. at&t installing fiber now saying they have to come in when there is a hole in the ceiling right above door, they dont have to come in unless you order there service. Also takes weeks at a time to do repairs and most of the time they need multiple times to fix.Stay far away, everyone in management needs to be replaced have lived here a few years and it was never this bad.Update: Typical response, I have complained several times about the zero notification or the beating on the door. Seriously they knock so hard it knocks pictures off my walls and opens kitchen cabinets. Seems like they have an excuse every single week for some new reason to enter. I have never been in a lease where they have had to come in so much...and push back and all I get is its a company asset and we have the right to enter. Total abuse of power and rude employees.
Absolute WORST rental service Ive ever experienced- and Ive lived in 7 separate apartment buildings while in college/ grad school. The staff at the leasing office are unresponsive, rude, and quite frankly push legal limits. When considering whether I would stay at Tenside for another year, a leasing agent told me he, didnt really have to sell whether this apartment would be rented or not. So many people are looking for apartments here, if you dont rent it someone else will within a weeks time. Flash-forward to two months later, when they were still trying to get me to renew a lease with them. What a save on my part!Upon move-out, the staff failed to contact me about any damage fees within the allotted 30 day period. On the 31st day they contacted my former roommate (never contacted me directly) claiming they had sent notices to our new addresses, yet did not send the mail through certified mail so they had no proof the notices were ever actually sent. They failed to try and contact me through email or phone, though they have all of my contact information. When I called to inquire why I was not A. contacted directly, B. contacted within 30 days all I received was snarky responses: Do you have any actual questions? The staff is very cordial at first, but nice manners do not ever make up for inadequacy at your job. That is the nicest way I can put it, the staff there is nice but inadequate at best. Rude, combative, and incompetent at worst.
I moved here in August, not long after the new management took over the apartment complex. I really like the staff, they are friendly and they know me by name. Mary Lane is super nice. She was the person I worked with to get the apartment and she has always made herself available to me to answer or a question or help me find my mail. I like all the ideas the new management have to improve the place. Definitely a great community to live in and very dog friendly!
I really love the area in which I live. Due to the construction and renovation, the apartment complex has changed. I understand the process is necessary, if we want new amenities and improvement. I dislike that payment for the garage parking was enforced, and that there are no better alternatives now that the leasing center, gym, etc is closed. Also, it took quite a while for the pool to open the last two summers, so I hope this summer that will not be the case; especially in light of the renovations. As mentioned I understand constructions and changes take time; and if this complex stays my home for a while I want to be patient for the things to come; however I hope that progress will be made in a timely and reasonable fashion. In spite of certain frustrations, I LOVE the staff at the leasing office and am really grateful for them! They are what keep the machine running and make an effort to keep people happy and ease any discomfort. They also do special things like fun leasing office activities, where you can win fun prices, like a carpet cleaning; and they have a food truck once a month or so; which is also a fun little activity. Thank you.
I absolutely loved living at 10 Side Apartments. I made a rush decision and decided to move to be closer to my job-- what a mistake! I wish I could go back to 10 side- lovely establishment, fast service when you need something fixed, great staff, excellent pool area and awesome gym! I always speak highly of this placed when people ask me about apartment living in Atlanta.
I really enjoy talking to the staff here. They are very nice helping me add on to the lease. The apartment is very safe and secure. I love the trash-pickup service.
The apartments are very well done and I have no complaints about the actual living space. Management seems to have become increasingly unfriendly although they have made many changes to make the building look nicer recently. The change to a secure package room was a great addition but at the end of the day your packages arent completely secure from others same as before. Ive had several unfortunate encounters with management here that have made the experience far short from perfect. Management claimed that I put the wrong address when they lost my package when they moved it to the new package room and did not give me a code to access it. I tried to find it for weeks until I just checked out the room myself when I ordered another package that arrived correctly. The other bigger issue is that they do not send out emails when they expect to come into your apartment. In the past I used to get notice about this even if it was inaccurate in terms of their actual timing but at least I wasnt completely unaware of the changes they were making in my own apartment. I have a pet and it is nice to know when someone will be in my home and what changes they are making if Im not here. One time I received no warning that people were coming around to inspect apartments and as a student I was still happily asleep at 9am when they banged on the door. I could not find my glasses and I had just rolled out of bed so I asked them if they could come back after doing another apartment so I could get some clothes on or some contacts in because I could not even see them without some aid? They were very rude and said no so I did not have a choice but to let them in and I felt very uncomfortable by the whole experience.
For some reason, they think its okay to take your application fee money without providing you with specific reasons if you get denied. They just shrug their shoulders and say whelp, thats just what the credit agency said. They offer no solutions, no help, no well maybe you can get a guarantor, etc.. They just take your money and you have to call them about it, they wont call you. smdh Horribly disappointed in this place.
I stayed at my friend’s room for one night. And I hanged the guest parking under the center mirror as required. Then in the morning I saw my car was booted. I called the towing company and they said they would send someone to unlock those boots but after 5 hours still no one is coming! I had a lot of things to do but I cannot go anywhere because of these stupid as-sholes!
I enjoy living here and the staff does a great job of taking care of any and all issues. They are very proactive & always follow up to ensure satisfaction with their service.
Ive lived here since almost 3 years ago and so far, the apartment has gone through many renovation recently. Lots of new furniture at the pool, new painting really made the apartment come back from being dull to modern style, which I really like. All the amenities here are great and the maintenance service has always been satisfactory. The only downside I would say about the apartment is the traffic light. Its okay when you try to enter the apartment from one of the street, but when you try to turn from the main street, there is no left turn signal so its a pain especially during traffic. Other than that, the parking is good, service is good and the amenities are great. Its walking distance from Georgia Tech so I would highly recommend living here if you are GT student.
Excellent location, amenities, and staff. Also conveniently close to everything. Convenient location to Georgia Tech campus and West Midtown. The staff is incredibly helpful. Highly recommended.
My experience for living is great especially for location and amenities. Since the management already change, they are still doing awesome for this apartment for making the best place to live. Its recommended to stay over here
We couldnt be more pleased with the communication and assistance prior to move-in. This staff is on the ball and assisted in every possible way with all of our questions. Apartment looks great and clean!!
Great apartments, convenient location to Georgia Tech campus and West Midtown. The staff is incredibly helpful. Susan, Marsha and Brian were always cheerful and kind to me (this was when they were called Tenside). Susan particularly always went above and beyond to help me and I cannot thank her enough. Definitely recommended.
I am a student living here now. First of all, some residents unthinkable behavior is stressful for me. I dont understand why they sing loudly in the pool late at night and invite their friends to play noisily. I want to open the window to ventilate it, but its hard to open it because its noisy. Apart from that, its a nice apartment.
Great location - walking distance to GT campus, restaurants, and grocery stores. The maintenance service is great. Helpful staff.
The new staff has been very welcoming. Theyre quick to address any issues or concerns. Its a great location with a lot of food options nearby.
Love living here! Absolutely beautiful apartment complex with amazing amenities / apartments.
Make 100% sure that you have a guest pass in the proper place on your vehicle or it will get booted. THERE ARE NO WARNINGS. If it’s on the dash and not the rear view, you get booted. It must be one heck of a kickback for parking fees.
Super reasonable price and very nice access to all the Westside restaurants and bars makes Arium already very appealing. Furthermore, the staff is so friendly, making for a nice sense of community.
Clean, quite and maintenance is on top of any concern I had. Plus the location makes it easy access to everything. No complaints here..
I lived here for almost 3 years. After I moved out (but before my final rent payment was due) they terminated my access to the bill pay system. Then they turned me in to a debt collector without contacting me first. I would not recommend living here to anyone!
Things were just fine until the new parking policy. If residents on floors 1-6 do not park behind the gate on the 3rd floor, our cars get booted. The thing is though, there are more cars than the spaces were allowed to park in so if we come home too late, no space for us behind the gate, means we get booted. The policy could definitely have been planned better. My roommate already got booted because of this situation. Please fix this!
Love the neighborhood, location and amenities. Hate that my water bill has been 350+ dollars since I moved in. - A one bedroom, with one occupant.
I lived here for just over a year and had a great experience. I didnt have much contact with the leasing office after I moved in, but whenever I went to pick up packages or had a question they were pleasant enough. I moved in after the major parking changes that happened last year - I never found them particularly unreasonable nor did I ever have trouble finding a space on the 5th floor. They had a lapse with their maintenance response times when they went through a few different new staff members (I am happy with the staff changing since that was there for only a short while made a joke about eating my pet bunnies...) and Id have to call to after a day or two to get someone to come out.All in all, I was happy at Tenside and wouldve renewed my lease if I hadnt moved to a new city for another job.
My daughter and son-in-law live here, so I visit a lot when I come to Atlanta to see them. The leasing staff are always so welcoming and friendly when I visit, especially Mary Lane. It is never a hassle getting a key to my daughters apartment since shes authorized them to let me in when shes not home which makes for a more convenient travel day when she is working. My daughter has renewed her lease because of how much she enjoys both the community and the staff. Anyone looking to live in WestMid should seriously consider Arium Westside (used to be Tenside)!
Pretty dec. in all facets except parking is a nightmare. Do not EVER have any of your friends/family/whoever cars without guest pass even for
The people in the office are nice enough to your face but really dont have your back. A clerical error occurred resulting in my first months rent to bounce. My bank reported to me that It bounced 3 days after the payment was initiated. Management did not contact me about this until a month later when the second payment went through properly. They are trying to fine me $500 for the payment bouncing. I can not get through to any higher level employees, as they continue to have the leasing agents do their dirty work and tell me that there is nothing they can do for me. They could not help me resolve this issue during the first month because they have a lot of residents they deal with. If you want to feel like a respected human being AND not have an apartment with MOLD and SAGGING floors due to water damage, DO NOT LIVE HERE. I repeat, DO NOT LIVE HERE WHATEVER YOU DO. This review comes after living here for not even 30 days.
I have had no problem during my stay here. Staff is friendly and quick to help you if needed.
BEWARE OF THIS PROPERTY they have no respect or regard for their tenants. I have lived at this residence for four and a half years. Everything went south when carol management took over.1. They left my AC broken for seven months April-October. While I live on the top floor. Had to call corporate for them to finally come and fix it.2. They will enter your apartment without your permission without any proper notice.3. They keep finding odd reason to come into everyone’s apartment for weird things you didn’t request.4. They will bang on your door at 8-11 am like they are bat ish crazy or they’re the police and you have 30 kilos of coke. They don’t even say who they are when they bang. LIKE LITERALLY TRYING TO BREAK DOWN THE DOOR BANGING.5. They have no type of class when it comes to the way they interact with their tenants. I’ve been called rude I’ve even over heard them calling me foul language in the main area of the leasing office with OTHER TENANTS PRESENT.6. They have no respect for their tenants and we’re badly bred.7. After multiple notices written and verbal they continue to bang on my door early in the morning and enter my unit without my permission.8. Their property head manager is a very mean vile woman who cares nothing about her tenants. Even after I told her to stop banging on my door. She continued and yelled at me through my door.POINT IS STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY UNTIL CAROL MANAGEMENT IS OUT. NO RESPECT CLASS OR REGARD FOR THEIR TENANTS.UPDATE: notice how they have no remorse or apology in their response. I’ve spoke to corporate & they still have not found a reasonable solution. Nor have they agreed to respect my home or privacy. Which is a reasonable request. Also their response is a load of lies. They still have not fixed my door from a year in a half ago that I put in several request to be fixed. They also failed to offer me any compensation for the seven months I went without AC. Not only that they will boot your car even if you’re a resident and the leasing agency will do nothing to defend you in the matter. This community was better without them. I wish they’d just leave. Don’t move here if you value your privacy until they are gone.UPDATE: I spoke with Sue Linsey at corporate and her response was that this property is their asset and they had to enter because att. Firstly regardless of who owns the property here I have a lease I’ve had a lease before they were even here. Also I did not request att nor is it a need to maintain my apartment. This is what you call ABUSE OF POWER, why should they feel they have the right to bang on my door without saying who they are or enter at anytime without my permission. To install things that are not a necessity. Not to mention they come at times that are very inappropriate, I’m not getting out my bed because y’all felt the need to come and harass me for something I did not request or need. They come on a weekly bi weekly basis. This is harassment and ABUSE OF POWER. Very unprofessional. I’ve told them plenty of times they can let me out my lease because I don’t deserve to be disrespected in such a manner. Banging on my door in such a barbaric manner is unacceptable. Im a woman and I live alone. This is pure HARASSMENT! As long as they continue to bang I won’t let them enter. If it’s such an issue they need to let me out my lease. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. They don’t care about you they only care about your money. STAY FAR AWAY!!
Since the new management has taken over this had been a much better place to live. The package room addition was the best idea.
Love the neighborhood and amenities, and the office and maintenance staff are stellar
I am writing this review to reach the management because of their parking policy (wish I could give 0 stars). The signs do not say where is guest parking adequately, and hence its very difficult to know where to park. Was visiting a resident who had moved in few days back, and only for a few hours - when I came out the car was booted! The company which manages the booting said they would not listen to anything, and I had to pay the steep fee. Very unfair - and when Georgia Tech police/Atlanta police came to intervene (since the resident and we are Georgia Tech students), they still did not listen. The management had failed to put up reliable signs (the signs now are confusing), and they have failed to communicate to the new resident about the parking policies. Hope the management reads this and responds to fix my concern.
Very quiet place, nice area, lots of things to do close by, renovations look great.
The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I would especially like to thank Mary Lane McNeely for helping me with my comcast situation. You rock!
Ive been living here for about 4 months now – ever since the new management took over. Overall, Ive been very happy living here. The location is perfect for school, its reasonably close to Kroger, and its the nicest apartment Ive lived in.Its nice having some storefronts on the first floor, but it makes the first couple floors much more congested, and I think the cons outweigh the pros a little bit. There are a few empty spaces right now, so maybe if an interesting place opens up I might change my mind. The area isnt as bad as I thought it was from my first impression. Campus is really close by, so it feels fairly clean and safe, especially with both the Atlanta and Gatech police patrolling the area. Older reviews may have mentioned a run-down building across the street where homeless people would gather, but that lot is currently being renovated, and Im hoping something interesting springs up there, too.I was disappointed to hear that the old company was bought out when I moved in, since part of what sold me on it originally was the attitude of the staff. Brian, one of the old employees, really sold me on the place, and I thought he was a great fit for the management staff, but they brought in all new people instead. Its hard to really judge the new staff since theyre clearly in a transition period, but they seem to be getting the hang of things. Work orders are always addressed quickly, and picking up packages has been smooth. Hopefully the notification system theyre talking about is implemented soon. My biggest complaint is how hard it is to get in touch with them digitally; I dont think theyve ever responded to an email Ive sent. That being said, its easy to walk to the office in person, but I generally prefer email, and would be happier if email communication was better. Likewise, I dont have any digital access to my lease or my billing history, which is annoying. They send paper bills, which feels like a waste of paper. Id prefer just getting an email, and itd be more environmentally friendly. I think their digital presence is in the most need of improvement. And honestly, my biggest disappointment is that they changed the name from Tenside. I liked it way better than the new name.Overall, though, its a really great apartment, and Im hoping to stay in it as long as I can. Assuming the rates remain as compelling as they were when I moved in, its a fantastic choice.
Great apartment community! The staff is fantastic especially Mary Lane.
Ive enjoyed living on the Arium Westside property in west midtown....Mary Lane and everyone else in the leasing office are always so quick and helpful!
Great location, spacious apartments, the clubhouse and the pool are awesome to hang out with friends. The staff is friendly and helpful particularly Mary lane and stephanie.
The maintenance service now is fantastic, as they have changed the management company a month ago.
Ive been living at Arium Westside (previously Tenside) for over two years. With the new management, theyve been doing a lot of renovation (gym, cafe etc). They repainted the exterior of the apartment and during the process, painters oversprayed my car. When I spoke with the property manager, she told me that apartment has no responsibility and I have to work directly with the painting company (Better Renovation Inc, I think). The supervisor of that company, Corey, told me to submit a receipt and Ive submitted the receipt to clean off overspray and its been over a month and half and Im still waiting for the reimbursement. I tried to escalate through Arium numerous times and although she did attempted to call the painting company, the problem still hasnt been resolved yet and Im disappointed that they are not taking any responsibility even though Arium hired those painters. Ive wasted enough of my time already so Im going to give up and take the loss ($200). So if you are looking for an apartment, stay away because I dont think they really care about you once you sign the lease. Ill warn any of my coworkers or any friends at Tech looking for an apartment going forward.
Good apartment and mostly, the staffs (especially Mary Lane, Alex, Jorge) are really helpful and responsive!
Arium Westside (formerly Tenside) is in a great location in terms of shopping and things to do. Its close to all the things going on in midtown/downtown as well as having easy access to 75. All around are tons of restaurants and stores. Its super close to Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Atlantic Station, and GA Tech.Another pro is the the pool area and club room are always pretty clean.Cons:The physical location is really the only good thing. Its on a super busy street with homeless people wandering around. Be warned that you may be harassed if you try to go for a walk. Also, the parking deck is horrible. Its super tight and people will almost crash into you on every turn. Also, as others have mentioned, you WILL get booted if you park anywhere without a sticker or visitors tag and you are before the mail room. The apartment building itself is cheaply made. Get a top floor if you really want to move here. The people who live above you will sound like they are stomping around even with normal daily life. If you like not hearing your neighbors, this is not the place for you.
Called this complex multiple times in hopes of speaking with a representative but the young lady hung up the phone every time I said hello. I’ll think I’ll take my business else where
Great gym and pool. Location is good for Georgia Tech Students.
Quiet neighborhood, a lot of renovations happening in the complex. Most would agree that parking is an issue but other than that I like the location.
I am a resident here. I rarely write a review. Overall, Tenside is a good place to live. But with this review I want to mention about their parking policy. The guy below me is right. There is a new parking rule adapted, and it is really not well-planned. Basically it is saying that residents could only park starting on 4th floor and above, meaning Tenside only gives its residents only half of the portion of all the parking spot they have. So usually what we see is, starting in the evening, it is really packed from floor 4th and above, although floor 1-3 parking spots are almost empty. With this, a lot of residents could not find a parking spot after certain hours, BUT they cant park below 4th floor, since the rule said their car will be booted if doing so. I even think that the number of residents car exceeded the number of parking spot they give us.
Mary Lane was great in helping me get a working remote!
Ive been living in this apartment complex for 2.5 years now. I initially chose this complex because it is really close to Georgia Tech. It is also located not too far from the Shopping District in the Howell Mill and the fast food restaurants nearby. The only downside is that quite a lot homeless people in the area. The apartment room is clean when I joined in and they renew the carpet and the wall paint. The parking was quite safe inside the area (except 1st and 2nd floor) where some of my friends experienced break in.The food in the complex area are not too good because they tend to be expensive or its fast food. It would be better to have cheap but not fast food (maybe teriyaki place).Since the management changed, they changed the staffs. I have not experienced the new service yet but most of my neighbors are satisfied with the new services.
Unfriendly management, bad parking area. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO LIVE HERE AGAIN. Especially the management team is so rude!
Mary Lane at the front office has really helped me resolve some issues that I had with my apartment. The least I could do is give her a shoutout.
Mismanaged. The corporate office (Waterton Residential) being in Chicago says a lot about their priorities, doesnt it? Ive lived at Tenside for 3 years, so Ive seen it change a lot for the worse.Resident feedback is not taken into account whatsoever (except if you rate lowly here apparently). Thinking residents have ANY real influence at this apartment complex is a complete farce. The staff are always happy to listen to your concerns, but its total lip service. As nice as the local employees are, they seem to have no control over management policies which are simply handed down from on high. If you lived here for a few years, wouldnt you expect your opinion as a resident to matter? What if you were a staff member?High staff and resident turnover rates. Keep looking yall.Positive things I can say:-Close to campus-Maintenance has always been very fast and professional thankfullySpecific issues for anyone who read this far:-Package delivery/notification system - poorly implemented-Communication - regular problems when communicating via email or sending unwelcome spam to residents-Parking deck procedures are a nightmare for everyone (theyre making an extra buck by contracting with a shady Atlanta booting company) - the rules are notoriously unclear, and residents are the ones footing the bill. These guidelines have been changed several times. Please note that the parking issues do not apply to you if you work in the leasing office - only to everyone else, including visitors of Five Guys or other nearby restaurants. The worst part of these procedures is management pretends this booting policy is about security. Its an illusion. Existing security personnel as well as Georgia Tech and Atlanta police officers already did a fine job before.NOTE: Ive voiced each of these individual concerns to staff at Tenside as well as the Waterton Residential regional manager, as well as many of my neighbors many months ago. Im just now adding this review since if you just come in for a tour, youre going to have a VERY different perspective.I stake my reputation on my word about the quality of service Tenside Apartments provides. Feel free to contact me any time if youre a potential resident and you want a truly honest perspective on what it is like to live here.Heres what the nameless owner said to another reviewer who also complained about the atrocious parking situation a year back:We hope that since your writing, you are able to agree that the parking situation has improved. If not, we welcome your visit to our office to discuss your concerns.Uh yeah, this is what I meant by lip service. I have, along with many of my neighbors, made it clear how horrible the parking policy is since its inception. That response was posted a year ago, but here we are - literally nothing has changed. It isnt so much an invitation for discussion about the parking procedures because a discussion requires dialogue. If I just wanted to complain, I wouldnt be talking to the staff about this. Its the clever illusion of feedback. Yeah, Im sure some team in Chicago somewhere will eventually be forced into reading these reviews, but it will lead to no tangible changes. If Tenside or Waterton Residential really cared about the residents at all, community members would be invited to be a part of the decision making process. Its just a black box right now where the bottom line is the only real concern that guides decisions.
It is very very nice.
Great apartment in a good location with GOOD PARKING. What more could you want?
I would like to say that this is a good place to live, but Im not so satisfied.Pros:1. It is quiet. The walls are very good at preventing noise.2. The maintaining is always very quick, usually finishes in one day.3. The location is exellent. I dont have a car, so I ride my bike to Georgia Tech, as well as nearby places like Walmart and Publix in 20 minutes. Most of my life is not affected by not having a car.4. There is an entertaining room, with some interesting game devices such as billard in it.5. If you drive a car, you wont get wet at all in the rain, since the walking path is completely shelved.6. There are places to lock bikes, although the one on 6th floor is already too full.Cons:1. There are no lamps in the living room and one of the bedrooms, which is too awful.2. I want to tell my story of leaving here. My lease ends on Mar. 31. I received a renew offer at the beginning of the year, which says we have to tell the staff whether we accept or decline the offer by Feb. 21. So my roommate and I looked for other apartments in Feburary, and signed a lease in another apartment on Feb. 18. After that, we went to tell the staff we will not accept the renew offer. However, the staff told us, if we want to move out, we need to tell them two months ahead of leaving. So we are forced to stay here until Apr. 17, with the renting price equaling to the price of a single months rent, which is 500 dollars more than a years rent.Im not saying that telling them two months ahead is not reasonable, and it was written and told when we signed the lease. But the problem is its very probably for us to forget it after a year, and further more the renew offter is misleading. I think the deadline of renew offer should also be the deadline of telling them whether we want to move, two months before the end of the current lease, because they mean the same decision to make. Maybe this is the trick Tenside plays, and they want to make money by misleading us.Above all, if you are prepared about the shortcomings (As long as you know it, you will not be fooled), you can live here. This is an excellent place to live for Georgia Tech students without a car.
A lot of break-ins in the recent days. Not safe at all. No cameras in the hallways and elevators.
Sorry for the formatting, but Google wont let you insert newlines. Ill try and give any prospective resident a look into my experience over the past two years of calling Tenside my home. First, the good: The location is fantastic, with most Georgia Tech classes a quick 20 minute walk away, and a ton of great places to eat and shop nearby. A shady Kroger and a decent Walmart are an easy 10 minute drive from Tenside. The apartments are very modern-looking and the appliances worked well. Maintenance was very responsive to all of our requests, often completing the required work within 24 hours. The online resident portal is great, as you can split monthly rent between roommates and create service requests all from the comfort of your apartment. The events that Tenside hosts for its residents are also pretty fantastic, and from what Ive seen there have been a lot of people that turn up who you can meet and get to know better. Now, the bad: While the location in proximity to other places of interest is great, you are right in the heart of Atlanta. There was hardly a night when I was walking along Northside Drive with my dog that I wasnt asked for money or yelled at. The same people are sometimes also within the vicinity of the parking deck, which can get a bit uncomfortable. Almost every courtesy officer that Tenside has hired is on their phone when they are on duty. Their presence never made me feel particularly safe, and I dont think that in the entire time I lived at Tenside I saw a particular security guard walking without his earbuds in his ear. The communication with the leasing office is absolutely terrible. On multiple occasions I had sent emails to 2 or more members of the staff, and almost always got responses back 2 or 3 days later that took maybe 20 seconds to process and generate a response for. The other times, I usually did not receive a response until I went to the leasing office in person or sent follow up emails requesting a response. They also are not consistent with announcements at all. Sometimes, leasing office announcements are posted around the building on paper. Sometimes, theyre sent out to residents through email. Sometimes, neither one gets done and residents are left in the dark. This is the case with the parking policy that the two previous reviewers commented on, which changed numerous times and was never communicated to the residents. The attitude of the leasing office is very much not what I am looking for in resident services. When confronted with issues and how long it has taken to address them, they often point fingers at residents saying that they have only known about them since you told me. I think that rather than waiting for residents to report things like laundry facility machines being broken for a month, it would not be unreasonable for them to take some time to survey their own apartment complex and make sure everything is working correctly. Im all for helping to note things that need to be fixed, but being constantly inconvenienced by broken things that they didnt catch before they affected me is not as okay as they seem to think it is. Its the same way for broken security gates which could easily be tested by courtesy officers every shift. Instead, I had to communicate that my halls gate had been broken for several days. Finally, Tenside is far from pet friendly. The $500 pet fee and $15 pet rent (as of June, 2015) dont seem to do anything for the pets, as all they have on the property are a couple of patches of mulch and poop bag stations that were empty 25% of the time (another issue that took far too long for the leasing office to remedy, and which they should be more proactive about). I would only recommend that you take your dog there if you dont mind driving to Piedmont Park a lot. TL;DR: Overall, I disliked Tenside, and Id have trouble recommending it to anyone who is not attending Georgia Tech, doesnt care about experiencing life in Midtown, or who has a large dog.
What is the password for guest wifi or any wifi that writes free!! almost out of data package
The apartment is perfect!
Nice Staff and Clean Hallways
