Moving from another state is not easy. However, Justin was extremely helpful with my apartment search. He made the process so easy. I appreciate his professionalism and diligence. The community is beautiful and quiet. I am very pleased with new home. I would highly recommend. Ask for Justin, he will go above and beyond.
Dont move here this property is filthy. This property is an overpriced project. Trash is all over the property everyday. The hallways are black from piled up dirt and stained from garbage being left in the hallways. Office staff is unprofessional! Also nonstop crime! Go somewhere and get more for the money you pay!
My experience was nothing short of amazing! I explained to Daisy & Mrs. Joy my frustration with applying for apartments and being blind-sided of what to expect. They both worked diligently to get me in an apartment I could afford and my expectations within the community. They were both very thorough of my pricing and what’s included, etc. I am also very much in love with my apartment and the amenities. These ladies were so sweet and patient with me and I would high recommend their community & services if you’re looking to stay in the city in a safe and close to EVERYTHING sort of area. I’m in loveeeeee
Joi and Daisy have been terrific. Maintenance fixed everything incredibly quick after move-in. Long story short... Apartment is very pretty. Location is amazing. Management and maintenance have been fantastic. As far as safety goes... It’s pretty obvious that anywhere you live in Atlanta... you leave nothing in your car, fold your backseats down, leave your sunroof open, and park under a bright light. Otherwise you’ll have no windows. Actually looking forward to the pool in the summer as I’m sure it will be quite entertaining.
Daisalyn was on top of everything from the moment I walked into the office. I was having technical difficulties with the app, but she helped me work through that calmly. She then gave me an easily understandable rundown of the community and all it had to offer. Overall really good experience working with her, I love my new apartment, give her a raise Gables!
The 5 star reviews are fake! Please don’t be scam! They have units that are molded and all they do is paint over it! Please do not move here your car and units would be broken into on the regular! Please beware!
I lived here for 3 years. I genuinely wish I could leave a good review because the first 2 years were pleasant. Good location, amenities, and security. My final year, however, was plagued with loud neighbors and and an ambivalent staff. Pounding bass, the smell of pot, and loud arguments, especially after COVID lockdown. I called the security company well over 50 times in my final year here, recorded multiple videos showing my neighbors breaking community guidelines, and provided police reports. The leasing office blew it all off and refused to act. I had to escalate the issue to their corporate office, which resulted in a measly written warning, which accomplished nothing. I do not recommend living here. You may win the neighbor lottery and have a great community, but why gamble your next year like that?Edit: the owner replied to my post asking for my help in improving their community and hoping to restore my faith. My faith in your community is dead. It died when you refused to wrangle the unruly people you rented to when provided with proof of their malicious actions. If you want to improve, actually take a stance and act when individuals tarnish your community reputation. Dont pretend to care now when you clearly didnt the numerous times I came begging for help.
My car was stolen from their parking garage this morning and they are less than helpful or caring in trying to help me. BE AWARE!!!! THEY DONT CARE
Ive been living at Gables since June of 2020 and I can attest to the awful reviews. Communication here is horrible, I hear every conversation my neighbors are having including relations. He constantly causes noise all throughout the day and when approached, he acts as if it is nothing. Someone was murdered here last week and they sent out a piss poor email and I had to look into it myself. My car was broken into twice here and it was in the garage. I have asked management multiple times what I can do and they help nothing. I fear for my safety and others in this complex. I do not recommend living here, do not waste your time.
Do not apply here they did not accept me with my real employment they claim they could verify it and they still kept my administration fee they’ve told me twice they they sent it in a check and it has been almost 2 months they are lazy!
Outstanding maintenance department. As much as try to love where I stay it’s too often that I deal with poor communication, faulty amenities, consistently problematic in terms of billing, mediocre customer service, lack of concern in terms of tenant issues, slow to solve concerns at hand! Not very great about answering the phone, I constantly have to reschedule clients or work related responsibilities to go into the office, so I’m not sure why they suggested I call !It is becoming a second job, it’s wearing on the mental forsure!
Moving to a new state can be an extremely stressful, but also rewarding process. Fortunately, I was given the gift of Daisy at Gables 820 West. She made my transition to the complex and the city super easy. She was warm upon my arrival, knowledgeable about the property/area and answered every question I had with no problem. If you want someone to take care of the way you live, she will definitely do that for you.
Living here has been an amazing experience and I can not wait to see what else is being brought to this community to entertain the residents and guest. I would like to say that Daisy has been an amazing leasing consultant, she is organized, very optimistic, and great listener. She values the residents needs and wants in finding the right apartment on this property, also bringing activities for us to participate in. She is AMAZING!
I have been living at Gables 820 West for nearly two years now, and Ive absolutely enjoyed my stay. The staff is welcoming, as employees such as Daisy tend to be extremely attentive and has a resident-first mindset. Maintenance is extremely timely, and has thoroughly fixed any issue Ive had in the past. Needless to say, the convenience to the inner-city of Atlanta speaks for itself which makes the property even more attractive. I highly recommend this location for those looking for affordable, convenient midtown living.
I recently moved here and have nothing but good things to say about the staff. They go above and beyond for their residents. They are incredibly responsive and I appreciate the extra effort they put in. Daisy at the leasing office is the best!
The walls are paper thin. I truly mean that. I can hear every conversation. My neighbors are constantly partying. I’ve called security and the cops at least 20 times since I’ve been here. I’ve been woken up by my neighbors at 3 am at least 10 times. There’s always people gathered in the parking deck either fighting, blasting music, or pretending they’re in a fast and furious movie.
My Apartment was broken into - and nothing was done about it. I should have heeded the warnings of many other reviews saying break ins happen and nothing is done when it happens. This apartment complex is good at responding to service requests and fixing things on time, but thats about the only thing it is on top of. If you dont feel completely safe living in fear of break ins, this is not the place for you.My apartment was broken into and the security took 20 minutes to show up. Nothing was stolen, which was almost scarier then things being taken (the property manager disagreed with me, but I am a woman who lives alone. She didnt seem to sympathize.) The police filed a report and were good about following up, but my apartment wasnt. I drove 20 minutes to talk to the property manager, and she did next to nothing to help. I asked if she could help me move to a sister property or move units within my place, to which she half halfheartedly said shed try.I sent a follow up email to NO response from her. Safe to say I will not be renewing my lease.
Yo this new assistant property manager is amazing.... before she got here, maintenance was a slow process never have I ever got same day service. AMAZING KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DEBORAH! If customer service is important to you, MOVE HERE!
I just recently moved into one of their 2 bedrooms and it’s by far been the best experience EVER! Mrs. Deborah Smith is hands down the best. She made my move in experience such a breeze. I feel so safe here. It’s clean, and I’m so hyped about how quickly maintenance responds to even the smallest requests. Everyone I’ve came across in the office has just been so welcoming and delightful. If I could give this place more stars I would.
Erielle L. was very responsive, informative and proactive during my move-in which made the process a smooth transition.
During my process Deborah and Matthew have responded quickly and went above and beyond to break everything down. They have helped me making this moving process much easier and faster. Im excited to move in.
I was truly happy and satisfied with my service at the Gables 820 West on Marietta street and their staff were very professional in attending to my needs when I most needed somebody and to help. To God be the glory. I am now with a peace of mind to think of my future GRACE, DEBORAH, & JAERRA are great ladies with much respect. You will definitely enjoy living here. The price is well worth the location and the awesome customer service.
I used to think this was a great place to live, but this place is going down hill and fast if new management doesnt get involved FAST. The last two Fridays, there is a pool party and there are TONS of people here. They are parking in spaces that residents pay for monthly, they are in the halls smoking weed and being disrespectful to residents. Security, patrol officers, whatever they are, is non existent! They were no where to be found this week or last week. Apparently they are assigned to roam the property and watch the cameras; there is NO WAY that is happening. If you read the reviews, youll see there is a lot going on here and its only a matter of time before good residents want to bail out, no one decent will want to rent here and then theyll be renting to anyone just to keep the units filled. Sad because the property is very nice. Gables is good about reaching out in response to a review. Gables please dont respond to this review just to make it look like you care, get me to respond only to tell me you will see if this happened before. I know you received complaints from other residents regarding the pool parties. If you plan to do something about what is going on, then Im willing to entertain this further. Sending out emails to residents is not enough as we know not all residents are reading the emails and this is not something you can fix with a mass email because no one even knows WHO is actually throwing the parties. I am all for residents having guests over but this is FAR more than that. This is trouble on so many levels and definitely not representing the image Gable portrays.
I moved here in 2015 and at first I loved the place. But within the last year Gables has become a dump. I have terrible neighbors who were fighting all the time at 3AM and the guards and staff did nothing about it, and told me to wait it out since those neighbors lease was up in a couple of weeks....who says that. Then our apartment got broken into with my alarm on and they didnt even realize it until another tenant whose apartment got broken into told them they heard another alarm going off. That alarm did nothing and thieves took everything from our apartment. The staff didnt even wait for APD to show up, she left at 5PM because her shift was over. They did not fix our broken door until a month after the break in!!! So we felt very unsafe there the whole time. A week after my break in, I get back home from getting groceries and the car right next to my boyfriends has a broken window on it and it got broken into as well!! Did I mention all of the break ins have been happening in plain daylight when there is staff in the apartment complex. The gates are broken 3/4 weeks out of the month and anyone can come in and out. I am so happy my lease is up and I will be moving away!!!
They break in cars and have been for years. People who work for the property has thieves on clock work they know when to break in, how not to get caught, and how to avoid cameras and what times people are less likely to be in the parking garage. I filed a claim for my break and got 10,000. If you move here have insurance and then sue tf outta them.
Went to visit today and when walk in was not acknowledged there was a guy in the office to the right when walk in never got his computer then the lady came out and spoke but seemed as we were bothering her. It starts in the office the guy never got up so left.
The office staff has been both professional and personal with me. I am treated like an extended family member. They quickly learned my name and always greet me with a smile. Quinton, the maintenance staff member, is always prompt and professional. Great team at 820 West!
Gables 820 West is in a great location in West Midtown and its not outdated, but that is honestly the only thing has going for the place. Ive lived in Gables for 7 months now and I cant wait till my lease is up. The leasing staff was great when helping me find a place and moving in, but the issues I have with the place have outweighed any niceness the leasing staff can provide. It takes weeks for a maintenance request to be filled, the gym looks like it hasnt had a good clean in months and is never properly stocked, the gates stop working every few weeks locking residents in or out and the constant break ins have prompted 24 hour security. After putting in five separate requests over four months about my in unit washer/dryer not working, they finally decided to get me a new one. Of course this was after maintenance belittled my request as me just not cleaning out the filter properly. I came home grateful for my new dryer/washer only to find that my front door had been unlocked, my lights left on, and trash and bolts left on my floor. Every good grace I was holding on to this place left. To leave a tenants door unlocked knowing that the place has a problem with robberies is just mind blowing.Truly at the end of the day you can find a comparable price somewhere else around the city. Its not worth the possibility of your things being stolen or your requests never being filled.
I was a resident there for less than a year, and I can not begin to list all the issues I had. From the day I moved in to the day I moved out. I have been gone for 3 months now, and am still having issues with them. I do not recommend moving into this specific complex under any circumstances.
Not sure what to say other than please please please IMPROVE SECURITY. I’ve told them multiple times as I’ve recently had my car broken into. I even parked inside the gate. The office could care less as I was merely listened to and all they said was if anything was stolen. No sorry or anything. They then proceeded to say well you shouldn’t be mad then cause nothing was stolen. Love the professionalism. Maybe if it was the other way around you’d care? Please fix the gate. I’ve seen 3 cars go in at once cause the gate takes so long to close. Awful security that needs to be addressed. I shouldn’t be scared to see my car every morning or be worried that someone will break into my apartment. Please save yourself some sleep and don’t live here.
I was lured in by the advertising for a 2 bedroom for around $1500 per month. Only to discover that prices had just gone up the day I had my visit scheduled and there is also around an additional $400 in fees every month. Including an outrageous $122 for water/ trash. These folks are at best intentionally deceptive. Stay away!!!!!!!
I have lived at Gables 820 West for over 9 years now and one of the biggest reasons I continue to renew my lease is because of the wonderful management and staff. The care and attention that the staff has for both the property and the residents is rare and unlike anywhere else, as well there’s not a high turnover with employees which is a true indication of Gables’ quality.Every maintenance request has been completed either the same day or within 24 hours including a follow up to make sure I am satisfied. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying living here and always welcoming with the best attitude asking if there is anything they can do for you even when just stopping by to pick up a package. If you have dogs you will be happy to know you can actually walk your dog(s) throughout the property without holding your breath and being disgusted by the negligence of others not picking up after their dog. The property is always clean and has a dedicated staff walking the grounds to ensure it stays that way.I must address some of the reviews in regards to crime - both car and apartment break ins. First off, unfortunately there is no ultimate way to avoid crime NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE! And it exists beyond Gables 820! These days you can’t even get gas without risking your car being stolen or a thief stealing your personal items from inside the car. We live in a world where you have to be smart and extra alert, realizing these people are out there and only getting better at what they do. Part of being a victim is also taking some responsibility in how to avoid being one again in the future. I can say this because my apartment was one that was broken into in the past. I never used my alarm and took it for granted that something like this could never happen. I was wrong and I now use my alarm even with going to check the mail. The positives of living at Gables 820 West far outweighed any negatives when I had considered moving after the break-in and realized thieves have no boundaries. I could go on and on about how you can run but you can’t hide from criminals, but my point is most of these negative reviews are just reactions to unfortunate circumstances that can happen anywhere.
We moved in three months ago and have had nonstop problems. Looked great from the outside but the security here has been terrifying. I’ve had multiple break ins to my neighbors and have yet to see a security guard or anything to prevent anyone getting passed the wide open gate. Keep in mind this gate closes, but it’s wide open cause I’ve watched 4 cars all go in by the time it even begins to shut. How people sleep at night knowing that management doesn’t care about the safety of its residents is beyond me. Everyone tells me to keep your car unlocked cause it’s so normal for car break ins. I ask what does management do about it and they all say the same thing....They could care less. Fix the security issue. Tired of the break ins. It’s a weekly thing!!
Well since I accidentally stumbled on the reviews at this building I might as well share my experience too. Safety here is a hazard to say the least. I’m a single father of two girls and have had my car broken into twice in my 4 months of being here. Our neighbors have had similar issues with break ins to their cars. One even had their apartment broken into and personal belongings taken. If security does not get better, we will have to find a way to break our commitment to live here. No amount of money is worth losing sleep at night over what will happen to my car or home. Management has only simply nodded their heads when I’ve told them numerous times. This place is dangerous. Don’t have your family live here, let alone anyone until something changes.
I would not recommend this complex at all. I never had a maintenance request completed within 3 days, including one that took 5 weeks to complete that disrupted my sleep. Tried emailing and calling them multiple times but never received a response until I got angry. They say they have security around but have never seen them once. Had my apartment broken into by a maintenance person -- Gables call me saying they tried calling me (they didnt) and then for some reason waited 5 whole days before trying to reach me. Tons and tons of turnover in the office - I see new people every week. I have to say it started out fine but as time went on this place took a nosedive.
Look closely at the 5 star ratings. It is so obvious that they are fake. Look how they thank specific people working at the leasing office. The names of the people mentioned at the leasing office are your worst nightmare.Where do I begin... oh, actually that is easy... Ill begin when criminals were shooting a pistol off the roof of the parking deck at 2 a.m. one night - if you think security or police were at all involved then you dont know a thing about 820 Gables. Anyway, I brought the bullet shells down the morning after to the leasing office and told them what I saw. I asked them to do something about it. Not only did they not alert the community of what happened, they pretended like it never happened. No improvement to security what so ever. If you want to be hit by a stray bullet, this is the place for you.The leasing office doesnt care about the community in the slightest. They are there to collect a check (for the few short months one will work there). Whatever is broken will remain broken for months or years. If something gets fixed like the gate to the parking garage, it is broken again days later by criminals.Car and apartment break-ins are a constant.Do not be mistaken. This is not West Midtown. This is the hood :) Thanks for being so helpful, leasing office. You really did your corporate office proud.
I love the apt and the community! Michael, Grace, and Ashley have been extremely helpful! There were a few things that needed attention when I moved in some time ago but they were handled promptly. The location is close to everything! I fill up once every two-three weeks. The apt (which to my understanding is the smallest) is still very spacious. I look forward to the time I have remaining here!
Came in to view this property, ask to use the ladies room. When I came back to the front, the leasing agent informed me that she was about to show the property to another potential resident and that I wasn’t allowed to wait inside the leasing office. 😳 she asked if I could wait in my car for 10 mins because that’s the companies policy. Now, I didn’t mind waiting because my fiancé is actually on the property doing some interior design work, but come on. It’s 2019, they definitely should have more than one staff member working or at least allow potential clients to wait on the office. Get some security cameras for God’s sake.
I lived in this place for a year and now that my lease is finally over I can share my experience. At first Gables was a great apartment complex, then when they changed management & staff everything changed. Random people are coming from everywhere, security doesnt do their job, rowdy neighbors & loud hallway fights, gate is always broken, nasty gym area, and the list goes on. As this being my first apartment & paying almost 1300 a month for a one bedroom I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. I love the location & the view but as for Gables it is going downhill seriously. GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER GABLES!!!!!!!
I read all of the reviews initially and when I was shopping around for apartments this seemed like a great option. Now that I’ve lived here it has been nothing but a burden. I am constantly worried about safety for myself and my family. Our apartment was broken in on and a lot of personal belongings were stolen. Our break-in has been the third I’ve seen in the last 2 months. There are security guards out front, but there is little to no monitoring of the apartments themselves. The gates are always broken, with no real fixes in place to keep people out that shouldn’t be here. I would not recommend this place if you want to stay somewhere that makes you feel safe and secure when you’re home and when you’re away. There have been multiple break ins and multiple cars damaged. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
I moved in back in October 2016. I liked the place for the first year. In late 2017 a series of break ins and thefts started happening. My front door neighbor had his home broken into. My car had the passenger door window smashed and glove compartment ripped apart. One night someone opened my window in the living room, but my dog scared them off. Worst of all, one day while my 12 year old son was waiting in front of the apartments for the school bus. A man came, shoved my son and stole his phone. All these things happened in a span of 3 months and the management team did nothing to prevent them. They still have not installed security cameras to stop all the theft happening. Not to mention the gates are always broken and every Friday and Saturday night, people that dont live in the complex come and park their cars here to go to the bars down the street. They are also one block away from the most dangerous neighborhood in Atlanta, why wouldnt you install security cameras. When it came time to renew the lease, they increased rent by $400. I did not resign the lease. On my last month I had a pro rated rent for 16 days only, but they charged me a full months rent. They told me I would get the extra money back 2 weeks IF nothing was broken or damaged in the unit (thats still on top of the $400 deposit you have to pay in the beginning that is not refundable). It took me 3 months to get my money back, every time I called to ask when I would get my money back, Deborah would give me the worst attitude. It also felt like they were purposely holding my money from me, because I finally got fed up with the attitude and called their corporate office. I got my money back a week later. These people are terrible, their apartments are not secured and overpriced. If you want to feel safe where you live, do not live here!
I have lived at the Gables Residence since 2013. I have had good experiences but recently in 2017 I have truly been disappointed in the quality of the Gables. It seems like the screening process of new residents within the last year has been looked over. There have been numerous home invasions, car theft and car break ins. There are no cameras in the complex and minimal security patrolling at night. I will not be renewing my lease (and I am sad about that because of the close proximity to restaurants and work).as I am in fear for my life at night because of the lack of safety. The management team has tried to encourage residents to use the alarm system inside the homes which I have done as well as other neighbors. Having an alarm does nothing for me at this point when the criminal wont even be caught on camera. With all of the money spent on these units you would think that corporate would try to installing security cameras and beef up the on site patrolling guards. I am disappointed to come home every night in fear of being the next victim.
I have been Gables Resident for a while and I referred my friends to join Gables. Its written on Gables board that you get $500 for referring but at leasing office I got to know that we get $300 for referring. Please show correct information to the residents instead of fooling them. Thanks!
I currently live at Gables and I believe that the staff is great! Ashley, Michael and Brittney are always available and extremely helpful. Maintenance responds in a timely manner.
I don’t live there and would never even consider it. The two people that were working in the leasing office on (9/9/19) are the kind of people who would keep walking and ignore cry’s of help! Lazy and it shows!
Not a safe and peaceful place to live in here. Lots of cop cars come and go out of this apt due to car thefts and couple of house break-ins. The business center always have issues with printer, water pressure is so weak, rent renewal increasing by alot, and very weak AC in the amenities area; very thins walls-everyday I hear people flush down the toilet from next door and above. The staff here are nice, good & professional people but they are misers and my experience has been less than desirable. Im moving asap and would not recommend anyone I know to live here.
How many break ins does it take for management to realize that this place is a truly uninviting place to live. I can’t keep paying for window replacements for my car. It’s once every few weeks I feel. Your gates don’t protect anything cause they close so slow. Please wake up and see everyone having the same issues. My neighbor who has a family recently had his apartment broken into with while his kid was there!! I advise everyone to not live here until management cares about changing security (or adding anything at all security wise). This is a terrifying place to sleep as you don’t know what you’ll wake up to!
Lived here for two years and not one complaint. It was a safe, clean, and quiet place to live. Maintenance was quick, the staff super friendly, and the apartment was top notch.
I love love love the space in the apartments, the granite counter tops in the kitchen and the arched doorways. However, the shear volume that comes from the pool area keeps me awake at night. The pool is located within the center of the apartment building like a courtyard and any sound is amplified x10.
Gables is good and they try to be as nice as possible but though sometimes they are lazy at trying to address problems. They keep trying to avoid issues by saying something else or asking to call 911 instead (just dumb). The amenities are dreadful as there are constantly no ACs and it has been happening quite often throughout my time here so its disgusting at the gym especially. Just waiting for lease to be up.
IF I COULD THERE WOULD BE 0 STARSTHINGS THEY DO NOT TELL YOUIf they give you a unit on the first floor, you will be robbed by maintenance, because they will use your alarm code and key to enter, as well as utilize the tools they have to fix your apartment in order to rob you of your items efficiently. They will add charges to your account if you keep a positive balance because they do not think you will notice. There are roaches, and utility issues. Not worth the price when you pay it 3x over for your stolen belongings after renters insurance only covers 2/3 of the cost, best case scenario. Not a good situation when you cannot trust the leasing office....Not a good situation when you get robbed under suspicious circumstances...Not a good place to liveWhich is why instead of being added onto a lease and saving money, I signed a lease for another apartment, unfortunate.
If you love low security, poor communication, poor maintenance upkeep, and empty promises then this place is for you. If we had known beforehand of the amount of issues that would be piled up, we wouldn’t have lived here. Car broken into on the “secure gated floor” (even tho four cars can fit through the gate before it closes since it’s so slow). The hospitality I was give after this was extremely poor and had felt zero remorse or ownership. We have about 6 requests for maintenance and have reminded them 4 times within a month and still nothing but empty promises. Please do yourself and family a favor and don’t live here.
I am updating my old review here at 5am. Because I was waked up by loud walking and moving furniture sounds which happened every day this week and uncountable days at 2am 4am, 5am. It’s my decision to stay so I have to suffer this: POOR BUILDING QUALITY makes my LIFE QUALITY controlled by other’s life pattern. I am using ear plugs and even a white noise machine which I wish can protect me from being waked up. But I am here, at 5am. Again, location is great, maintenance team is great, interior decoration is great. This one star is for some good staffs here. Floor is thin like paper that means you can hear everything from your neighbor living upstairs, doing the laundry, walking around, even opening and closing the cabinet, etc. I am not saying interior decoration, or the location are not good, but it is really hard to enjoy them with all the noises around you all the time.
NOT A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE. MIGHT AS WELL BE THE PROJECTS! TOO MANY ROBBERIES JUST LOOK AT THE REVIEWS. CLEARLY THERE ARE THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMPLEX INVOLVED.
I have lived here 4 months and from start to finish of my move in process was and still is awesome. Immediately when I came to tour the community I was greeted so warmly as if I already lived here. The price was right and fit what I wanted in an apartment home. Its clean, upgraded, Ive got wood in my kitchen & bathroom with stainless steel appliances. I love the area because West Midtown has so many great people, restaurants, and social life just minutes from the property. At the time that I leased the staff was amazing. They were all very nice and accomodating. Deborah was who I initially worked with & she was knowledgeable and accomodating. Now more recently there is a new guy I think named Matt & he seems to be a great addition to the office. I saw upon leasing my place the reviews and it doesnt match what Ive experienced. Its my girlfriend and I. Sometimes shes home alone at night because I work night shift at the hospital. She comes home alone and is home alone a lot of the time. She feels safe and so do I. We even walk to a lot of the nearby restaurants for date night. I dont hear about or see the breakins. Everything is gated & secured. Anything Ive needed theyve gotten it done. I truly feel people make reviews when angry and upset and always blame. But I know I havent experienced the things Ive seen on these reviews. GET YOUR NEXT APARTMENT HERE. Youll be happy you listened to me. Or just come see for yourself. Were happy here!
The management sucks as they are lazy and the courtesy patrol officers are useless. They do not address issues with neighbors very well. It is very hard to live here especially if you have lousy neighbors and don average fighting 4 times per week. There are also security guards playing pool and using the gym. Cant wait till the lease is up.
My neighbors are a lil disrespectful... The one next to me plays really loud music. The one above me always bumps really loud! Maintenance is a lil slow with calls. But other than that... Its a really cute place, safe, and well kept.
Lived here for a year and was glad when my lease was finally up. Over my time there, the crime went up significantly, there were numerous break ins to the apartments and vehicles. In part, I accredit this to a lack of security cameras and measures being taken by the complex as well as the unfortunate location being so close to a bad part of town. In particular, I was frustrated by the parking lot gates that would frequently break leaving the place free to access by anyone. In addition, the apartments werent well sealed and even though they look nice, I found numerous cockroaches in the apartment. Third, I was frustrated that only valet trash was offered instead of recycling and that no interest was taken to composting. On the positive side, I highly recommend the maintenance guy there. He was so skilled, fixed many issues for us, and was always so friendly.
WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX EVER! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! Staff will do anything to get money out of you, even if the apartment Is in the wrong. Gate is always broken and all you hear is excuses. My AC was broken for a week and maintance came in my home numerous times without calling. Alarm hasnt worked since day one, safety is not their main priority. They will find away to charge you for anything and everything. Even though I paid a $400 non refundable deposit, Im sure they will find a reason to charge more when I move out next mth. Cant wait to move out of this place. If looking to move here, try down the road for more responsibility management that actually cares about your hard earned money.
Gables charged me for damaged carpet, when the carpet was not damaged. They will find a way to get any money out of you. My AC always need to get fixed and they would put a portable air conditioner that did not help.
As the parent of a tenant I am disgusted by the response of Gables 820 to the review submitted by Holden Copeland. The safety and security of the tenant should be the #1 priority! I personally have visited the apartments on 5 different occasions in which the gates were broken- further I have NEVER seen security, courtesy officers or other support staff present on the grounds! The fact that the company representative/responding to Holdens review attempts to lay blame with the tenant (attempting to ASSume they that the tenants did not exercise proper precautions) to secure their apartment-close blinds, lock doors ... borders on slanderous. Any business who truly values the customer does not attempt to shift blame or otherwise taunt security measures that DO NOT EXISTS, ARE NOT CONSISTANTLY KEEP IN WORKING ORDER AND/OR PROVEN TO BE INEFFECTIVE! Make sure you get a crime report on the area and specifically a crime report of break-ins @ the apartment ~you may find they are disproportionate to other like properties which MAY indicate a further property management issue - or you can just pay a ton of money for an unsafe apartment and be blamed when the FAIL SAFES are complete failures!!!
Dont move here. Size is small for money. I needed security and upon calling the office to request security I was told they couldnt help. Basically theyre just here for show. There has also been alot of robberies. Why are there robberies when there is security?
Gables has been great! The staff is friendly and whenever I put in a work request, maintenance is very responsive in getting things completed
Highly disappointed. 1 bedroom $1500 + a long list of complaints. My search for a new place is in progress!
I have lived in this building for 5 years and for the past 18 months I have watched the complex decline. Everything is constantly broken, they change staff regularly, maintenance staff is incompetent and rude, and they do not timely address tenant complaints. There have been shootings and multiple car break-ins. Not surprising as the gates are always broken. My A/C unit broke FOUR times over the past year and they refused to contact a professional (the maintenance director is a complete moron) until I threatened to sue. The first time, my A/C did not work for 2 whole months. When they finally got a professional, I was told that Gables told him to patch it rather than do what was needed and replace the unit (which was finally done after months of hell). I emailed the regional director several times and never received a response at all. When I asked for a portable unit, I was told to deal with it by the maintenance director. Do yourself a favor and find literally anywhere else to live. This place is unsafe, falling apart, and has absolutely horrible and cheap upper management. To Gables - Do not insult me with your stock reply that you would like to speak to address my concerns. You had your chance many times to do just that, but you failed miserably at even responding to my emails. The upper management is highly unprofessional and it would be embarrassing for you to try and save face on this post. You should all be ashamed of this horrible place and your complete lack of professionalism.
The staff is friendly and aim to solve the tenants problems. The apartment complex has the average problems all apartments have. Nothing about the complex really sets it apart from any other apartment complex either.
Business center has been out of service for a year, water pressure is so low and cannot provide enough hot water, good location, quite noisy, good staff
Aesthetically palatable... Wish the units were for sale...
Do not even apply here. These people are desperate to get your money and not provide serivice. They will pressure you to apply then after they get your money they will ignore your calls or communication intentionally within 72hrs of applying so that your $410 wont be refunded. These people are snakes.
Horrible experience. Service Is very poor. This establishment should be shut down. The owner and management should be ashamed .. 20 thumbs down ...
Very unsafe community and unhelpful staff.
