Overall it was not a bad experience but they are severely understaffed. They left out our fragrance and there was a very long wait.

Its hit and miss with this Autobell Car Wash. The staff is usually friendly but hardly every thankful for tips. The inside of my windshield is never cleaned properly. They do dry my car by hand thoroughly and sometimes give me free tire gloss. Vacuuming is decent but not always thorough.

Very pleased...it was so hot this day and the outdoor attendants wear long pants as part of their uniform. As I sat inside in the air conditioning they were sprucing up my car. (I gave a good tip). I give them a 9 out 10 as my car was not as well detailed as my last visit yet very nice!

Been there twice and I want be back, paid $40 and $10 tip . Just got to my house and The guy didn’t even bother to wipe down my dash, my sterling wheel and to top it off the passenger side wasn’t even vacuumed. Been waiting for customer service for 30 minutes.

Just got home from this location. You can definitely save yourself some time, money, and aggravation by going somewhere else. They have zero attention to detail. My car interior looks just as dirty as it did when I brought it there. Just clean it up yourself, and save the money. Will not be going back

Very understaffed. 1hr 40 min. to get a typical wash at 9am on Thursday. Weather was warm and sunny. The manager should have come in early to help out if he didnt have more employees available to call in. The staff was great, just overwhelmed by the workload. I also suggest having a backup vacuum cleaner that can be rolled out to keep things moving.

Used to be good before it changed ownership the outside was still dirty like it had never been washed at all, and for 25 bucks I guess I expected then to actually wow off the dust from the dash and maybe vacuum. The footboards or something. They were in and out in literally 13 seconds flat and done. Total waste of money. I went to a diy carwash same day and did it myself

Can someone please tell me why after spending $30 for the SuperPoly Process, I still have caked on mud underneath the back bumper. It doesnt even look like they tried to spray or wipe it off. Sure my tires are shiny, but the interior wasnt wiped down and there was definitely no fragrance.

Amanda and her friend went above and beyond on getting our Pathfinder cleaned up and out. It had been many months since it had a good thorough cleaning and with two young boys it definitely showed. By the time they got done with a simple armorall treatment and vacuuming it almost looked like I just picked it up off the dealer lot. Best job I’ve seen from a major chain car cleaning place!

I’ve been using the Unlimited Ride Thru washes for a few months. It’s a great deal and I love being able to wash my car anytime.

The tire shine i paid for did not look as well as it did the other times my tires are brand new so i dont understand why :(

They charge $28.99 for a complete wash and they never take care to clean your wheels or to check that all bug marks are off the windshield. They are constantly short-handed and it usually takes 20-30 minutes to get your car completed. I have used this carwash probably 100 times in the past two years and will never go back. This has to be the poorest Auto Bell in North Carolina.

I am new to Asheville and have been looking for a full service car wash. The only one I could find was Autobell and went to the one on Merrimon Ave. My interior had not been treated in awhile so I upgraded to the managers special which was $39.58 after taxes. When they advised my vehicle was ready, I looked at it and was very disappointed. I asked the guy if he could wipe the dust on the interior which had barely been touched. He reluctantly wiped it down and still missed most of it. While he was wiping, I began to look at the outside. There was still road grime in most of the contours of the vehicle and the wheels had not even been touched (still had brake dust covering them). I asked him if he could wipe the outside and wheels and he acted like I was asking him for something they dont do. I asked if they dont normally wipe the exterior or wheels and he said they would if I asked. I thought since I was at a full service car wash and just paid almost $40 that would be a given. Another guy came over and told the first one to move to the next vehicle. I asked him if he was the manager and he said he was. I advised him how disappointed I was with the quality of the wash and he said we are more of an express wash. I advised him that after spending almost $40 I expected far more and would not be back. He didnt seem to care whether I returned or not. I guess since there is very little competition in the area for them, they feel they can do garbage work. Save your money and do it yourself or hire the 10 year old down the street who will probably do a better job.

Vacuum was not done properly.... neither was the mirrors....

I was hesitant to go after so many bad reviews, but I had a totally great experience. Very professional person who welcomed me, two people did a great job on my car and it was super fast getting in and out. I think people tend to focus on leaving reviews when it’s a bad experience and don’t bother when it’s good. And while it’s a valid that we should expect a good product or service that we pay for, I also think it’s important to appreciate workers who wash cars, work in restaurants, retail, landscaping, etc. who work hard for little money. It’s not easy to do and I appreciate them.

Previous experience was good. Today not at all. The sweet lady who was the first point of contact was great, but I had to ask again for things to be vacuumed properly, mats to be properly cleaned, and the interior wiped appropriately. I took my own towel and asked for their spray to do it myself. Leaves still all over and poor attention to any detail. Not even the fine details. Super disappointed.

There service is great and so are the people. However the exit pavement is a pain in the rearend. IF YOU HAVE A CAR THAT IS LOW TO THE GROUND DONT COME HERE. i had to fix my frond bumper.

Paid for the $10 Super Drive Thru but received the $6 Drive Thru Wash. The car wash ltself does a pretty good job.

The wash bay did not fully clean the car and the interior cleaning was not thorough.

I paid for the $23 super service. After 30 minutes pasr the wash, they had not started on the vacuuming or other sevices I had paid for. 2 guys in red shirts were joking around. One was cleaning the car in front of mine, doing minimal wiping, etc, until the couple came to stand beside the car. Then, he got serious about working. Meanwhile, other cars that were washed after mine were finally being wiped and having tires done. Not mine. I asked for a refund and was told the person there did not have thst capability. Instead he offered me a regular full service wash. I refused that. I will be seeking out management. This is Sunday September 6, 2020. Merrimon Avenue store in Asheville, NC.

I paid $34for a car wash. I waited 50 minutes before they got to cleaning the inside of the car. It took the girl less than 10 minutes to clean the inside. Did not wipe off dash, screen, seats, or vacuum between the seats.Not a good experience today.

The wash is pretty standard. I asked them to give me the full works. Paid extra for a special vacuum on the interior and armour all on the dash. Not at all impressed. I paid $70 and it was any cleaner than if my 10 year old son had cleaned it for an hour.

I would give them zero stars if I could. They did a horrible job cleaning the exterior of my car. It was so dirty afterwards that i grabbed one of their rags ans a spray bottle and began cleaning it myself. One of the workers walked over when he saw me cleaning my car He told me that he thought all the dirt was stained on. I continued to clean my car and as i got to the passenger side i realized that my side mirror was missing. I asked what happened to my mirror and the employee casually said Ill go get it. He brings it out and hands it to me. There was paint transfer on the back side of the mirror. Obviously they hit the mirror against something causing it to break off. When i asked what they would do about it i was told they werent liable and that the water pressure broke it off. Ive gone through car washes for over 3 years with my car and never has water pressure caused parts of my car to break off, not to mention the obvious paint transfer. I insisted that they needed to fix it and was then told that they could tape it on. That is not the response that anyone wants to hear. Ive never gone back and never will. The worst car wash experience Ive ever had. If you care about your car and your mirrors dont get it washed at this Auto Bell.

So, I was charged $50.75, not given a receipt, and got the truck back dirtier than when I gave it to them. The outside was passably better but I could have gone to that automated one on Tunnel for like $5 and it would have done a better job. There were still crumbs in the floorboards and every plastic surface was greasy, at least where they bothered to wipe with what must be the cheapest auto cleaner on the market. The windshield, which I had cleaned the drivers side a few days ago was dirtier where I had cleaned it after I got it back and lint everywhere. I wouldnt return here if they paid me.

Attention to detail!

I dont typically leave reviews. But the experience that I just had at this Autobell Car Wash is forcing me to do so. I paid $45 for the manager special and what I got for my money is absolutely pathetic. The kid that cleaned my car was the least motivated and arguably worst worker Ive ever had or had to watch do anything. I even had to go as far as to ask him to continue cleaning my car it was so incomplete. And even after his second chance I still need to go home and finish it myself. After this experience I will never go back.

I love this place! I live on a 3.5 mile dirt road and for one low price a month I can go through everyday, even twice a day or more, with the same vehicle. Everyone is very friendly and helpful! I am always asked how I keep my car so clean? I am more than happy to share!

Amazing and fair priced car wash. Elliot worked magic on my girlfriends car! He was friendly and made sure everything looked good before I drove off. He moved things from under the seats to the back so they wouldnt get vacuumed and the windows and dash were streakless. The person who took my car into the was was friendly as well. The facilities are clean as well as the bathrooms. For the price you get a full service clean. The drive through wash is only $6, comparable to any of the others at gas stations. Could not recommend more!

I’ve been to autobell car wash on Merrimon Avenue hundreds of times and never got the expert service I got today. Amanda cleaned my car and she did the most excellent job I’ve ever had. And, they were busier than usual! I hope I can ask for her services in the next few days when I come.

Stevie Wonder could of done a better job cleaning my glass. I could tell it wasnt perfect when I left but when the sun hit it, thats when you noticed how terrible it was. I would of gone back but it was late by then.

Very nice people who are great at their job! Also cute honey bees in the yard! Also they 100% Fix mistakes! Btw you should tip! If you tip and you are nice you will get better service anywhere! These people have a hard job with alot of jerks who want their precious car miraculously like new! Their job is to clean and vacuum your car and only do what you pay for! Be courteous and people are usually courteous in return. The lady who cleaned my car (And did an awesome job ) was more than happy to see my picture of the bee I found and chat about it for a moment. Dont know the name but the employee # on my receipt is 18079 so kudos to an amazing job from the two employees there! They explained perfectly what each cleaning option was and didnt try to force me into the most expensive package! Good job guys! ^-^

1st time at this location. I believe her name is Hannah, she was very friendly and did an excellent job on cleaning the inside of our car.

Went in to get a full interior clean up. Mainly for the vacuuming and just wanted my car cleaned. The interior wipe down was a good job, but as soon as I got in i noticed the vacuuming was done very poorly. Visible dirt still on the carpet and dirt buildup in the drivers corner.

Had a full body wash today. It was the poorest job that I have ever received there. I had to dust the interior and will need to vacuum places. Just poor attention to detail. Not my experience in the past.

I was up sold the Managers Special, as apparently the Full service wash doesnt include things like door pockets. The guys spent about 10 minutes on the truck and did at best a very rough job... Door pockets and under seats are still dirty and plenty of dusty streaks and grubby corners. The leather fragrance isnt bad though.

Way more than an automated car wash. It is the best auto cleaning you can get in town for the money short of a full detailing at 5x the cost. I have kids and always feel bad for the extra work that causes but Ive never had a complaint. They pressure wash my Jeep slush mats and do a great job. I always get compliments on the Jeep on autobell days.

Went here yesterday around lunchtime. They did a fine job on my car, but I was there for an hour. AN HOUR!! No warning at the beginning that the wait may be long, no apology or explanation afterwards.

Requested the $21 package, inside needed the most attention due to carting around my two dogs occasionally. Outside was cleaned but honestly thats about it. Stains are still on the inside of the windows, and now there are towel fibers there as well. They never even moved the floor mats. And there are now a few pieces of hay in the floor, they seem to have added more to the little mess that it was. Headed to a self vacuum place immediately after they were finished. Also didnt even bother to even wipe the dashboard. I will never go to one of these establishments again.

I took my car to Autobell on merrimon Ave and was overjoyed at how new my car looked after. It was a morning when all women were on duty and they sure had an amazing attention to detail!! Seriously I bought the very basic 17$ wash and clean and after it went theouth the wash the manager on duty, Amanda, spent 30 minutes detailing the inside of my car! So when I got in it looked like I was pulling out of the dealership!! I thanked her for her attention to detail and she said she just wants to clean it how she would want her car cleaned!! I paid $36, asking for a thorough interior cleaning. My interior is still covered with dog hair. Very poor customer service.

Does not vaccuum car as its supposed to be. I think its ridiculous you charge extra just to vacuum under car seats, that should be included with regular price.

Im an Uber driver and occasionally Ill stop in at Autobell car wash on Merrimon Ave to have them clean my car for me. After all this rain weve had and after working NYE my vehicle was a muddy mess! Saturday January 5th I had Amanda and Charlotte clean my car. They not only did a great job they did it in record time considering this was the first clear day after weeks of rain! Thankyou Amanda and Charlotte!

They do a horrible job, lazy as can be. Even when I specifically ask to vacuum the third row seating they ignore it. They are basically careless and charge too much, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. It’s good that with the option to review they can’t get away with what they do or don’t do.

Very bad experience. We were there for more than 30minutes. Interior and exterior not clean. Called and it send me to a 1800number. Don’t waste your time.

My husband took his Jeep there. He specified which wash he would like and asked for rain-x on the windshield. He paid and as he was walking away he noticed they charged him double the price of rain-x. I went back and told the guy about the mistake and he said that was the price to have all the window done. My husband only asked for the front windshield. They tried to overcharge hoping he didnt look at the receipt. After all of that, when they were done with the jeep, we noticed that they did not wipe the dash down. The doors were hit and miss with being wiped down. The Windows had smears. We had been to the beach the week before and I had put my handprint on the outside passengers side door, it was still there. It was the worst $30 we have ever spent. Dont waste your money here. They obviously do not take pride in their work like they used to.

Horrible. Don’t waste your time or money. These guys will leave your interior dirty and will not dry Your exterior so as soon as you pull out oh boom your car is dirty again. They are in such a rush to get to the next car to get another Tip none of them pay any sort of attention to detail. 45$ car wash that isn’t worth 10$ save your money and go to zips or chammies. OH! Also, if you try to call the store you’ll get prompted to their 1-800 number.

Ive had mixed experiences at this Autobell. The first time I had my car cleaned, it was immaculate. The second time, there was still dust on the dashboard, and the cup holders had not been cleaned out.

They had to wash the truck twice to get it clean. Then they had to reclean the windows from their finger prints. Other than that, good.

These guys do a pretty great job on cleaning my vehicles. Sure beats trying to so it yourself at home.

Quick service, friendly attendants, 2008 Ford Edge came out looking like new, took only about 10 to 15 minutes, they cleaned everything thoroughly. Not cheap (I come from a smaller town so Im not used to Asheville prices).

Extremely disappointed. Paid 50 dollars for a detail on my 2003 Volkswagen bug at the merrimon ave location and there was still trash in the floors and water spots on windows. Really a waste of money and will never be back again. I would give them negative 5 stars if i could.

Best wash and interior cleaning for the $$. These guys work hard cleaning even in the cold weather. You get more than you pay for especially if your vehicle hasnt been cleaned in awhile.

Had a car wash today and they damaged my interior. The manager denied responsibility as he couldnt prove for his internal audit exactly how it happened. What I do know is that I brought my vehicle in undamaged and while the vehicle was in their possession it was damaged.I noticed it immediately when I got back in the vehicle. I reported it before turning the vehicle on. Didnt matter because BEWARE this company will not be responsible for damage while it is in their possession.BEWARE!

Not a perfect wash but much better than any wash I have had in a very long time.

I go thru this car wash at least 1x a week and over the past month the service has gotten worse. They are slow and the guys that wipe down the car dont do the tires or the doors and frequently leave streaks across the windshield. The past 2x I have gotten a towel and cleaned part of the car myself. Not sure what management is doing but it needs to greatly improve.

I decided to try this place based on the close location to my work. For the amount of money I spent on a car wash, I expected the inside of my car to be immaculate. This wasnt the case. I was disappointed and really felt it was money wasted. Wont be back!!!

Warning: Autobell damaged my car exterior and refused to take responsibility! I took my car into Autobell (Merrimon location) for a super polyprocess wash & interior armor all. After the wash, I discovered my passenger side mirror was hanging loose and called it to the attention of an employee. The manager on duty (an inexperienced young man in his late teens / early 20s) said the car wash wasnt responsible for the broken mirror, that it must have been due to previous damage. How can it be previous damage? The mirror wasnt broken when I drove it in, yet it was clearly damaged after the wash returned it to me. Liars, cheaters, inefficient, etc. Best take your car elsewhere for a wash or risk it being damaged.

Expensive!

This location always has a group of incompetent workers. They couldnt clean the interior of your vehicle if their lives depended on it. I hope the Patton Avenue location will be up to Auto bells standards, but I wont hold my breath. Most of the employees make it seem like it is a chore to clean the interior. There are a few that actually care, but I have not been happy one time out of the eight that I have been there.

Terrible. Don’t waste your money. (& I’ve given them SEVERAL chances.)
