Loved living here before!So did other residents.The place just went under a major renovation, that entailed a large amount of noise and random contractors all over.The location is fine because you are close to the city - walking distance to Georgetown/DC. The maintenance people are awesome, BIG shoutout to them!The leasing office could be better like it used to be.When you sign the lease at a reasonable price, consider yourself lucky.Once signed, and time flies by so fast, you are ready to either move out or sign again. I am sorry BUT $180/month raise from 1 year to the next, they have no consideration for you as a resident what so ever! Residents who have been living here for over 4 years and considered this place their home. I am sorry, anyone can expect a decent amount of raise over time, but give me a break. BECAUSE OF MARKET VALUE? COVID PRICES? Money lost due to COVID? Needless to say, Customer Retention is not their strong suite. Which is a shame because you could rent a much nicer place just a few blocks away and you would be better off.

I have lived at Avalon for almost a year and recently elected to renew for another year. I was a bit worried that my rent would increase tremendously to make up for loss of revenue during COVID. Djafar in the leasing office provided a very fair rate, only a slight increase from the previous year. I appreciate Avalon taking care of its existing customers.The apartment building is in a great location very close to the Courthouse metro station. Walking distance to Clarendon, Rosslyn, and short drive to DC. The building has undergone renovations to improve the pool, lobby, gym, and other aspects of the community. During the construction, the noise has been minimal to none at all. Avalon will let you know in advance if an apartment nearby is being renovated as well. Overall, this is a very quiet building, making working from home easy. The front desk employees are always friendly and helpful as well. I have had only one minor maintenance request and it was resolved very quickly.I highly recommend this apartment building. I very much appreciate the service I have received from the front desk employees, Djafar and the leasing team, and the maintenance staff.

I have lived here about 8 months and I have nothing but great things to say about this apartment. Some of the highlights of living here are: the amazing and super friendly staff, the amenities that are always clean and have been recently updated, the amazon lockers, the market within the apartment, the constant communication management has with tenants (newsletters, updates, etc.), the events management puts together (food trucks, pool snacks, contests), being so close to the metro and other shops/restaurants/grocery stores. I see people people/families of all ages here, and as someone in their mid 20s I cannot recommend this place enough!

Front desk staff (Donna and the rest of the team) are always pleasant & welcoming. Frank and Abigail at the Front Desk are very helpful people. They will not only prompt any question, but also make every effort to help. Wanna live with constant flood issues, cheap building upgrade, a year without furniture in the lobby, pool project that drills during your work from home hours, and community events that serve you eggs in a carton and frozen sausage patties? Welcome to the Avalon Courthouse Place. Theyll charge you $500 amenities fee every year you renew too. And your apartment gets flooded every time it rains? Its ok a little water and mold wont kill you. I guess wearing rain boots inside your own home is acceptable because its the best you can do to fix a known design flaw of the building.

The maintenance team at Avalon is great! Whenever we submit a request, they always handle it within 24 hrs. The staff members are professional and friendly. They are also extremely attentive to scheduling changes when we have work meetings at home and fixing tasks have to be rescheduled. Our sincere thanks to the maintenance team - you rock!

If I could separately review the staff that consistently works here helping the community members (front desk team and maintenance) from our overall experience with Avalon itself, then I would give the on-site personnel 5 stars. Living here for over 5 years we have experienced a good amount of apartment living issues (yes, flooding in the building is a serious problem). What keeps us continuing to renew our lease is how much effort the staff put into supporting us through any problems we’ve had. Specific acknowledgment goes to Donna (what would this building do without her), Frank, Izana, Abagail, and Sonja (we have always had great communication and relationships with the front desk team as a whole!) as well as Chuck and Angel from the maintenance crew who we have personally worked with on numerous occasions for our specific unit’s issues. Thank you all for continuing to make this place feel like our home!

I’ve lived in this building for nearly 8 years and have had an exceptional experience. Donna, Abigail, and Frank at the front desk are all excellent - they are always looking out for residents and assisting however they can. The maintenance team, including Chuck and the rest of the crew are also great and prompt in responding to requests/maintenance issues. Last but not least, our leasing group is also attentive and always helpful in talking through leasing options - I have had a great experience with Djafar and Francy. This building is well cared for by all the above team members that work hard to make it happen! Neighborhood is great with everything you need just a short walk away. Units are affordable for the area and recently the entire building has been undergoing renovations (and the staff has been very communicative and helpful to make sure there is as little disruption as possible to residents during this time).

Avalon Courthouse Place has the best maintenance team. They show up quickly and have the problems fixed perfectly. Especially Chuck saves me twice. One is in winter when the heating was off and the other one is in summer when AC was down.

Weve had a good experience living at Avalon Courthouse. The apartment is nice and the maintenance team is amazing. We did have a tough time as our lease expiration drew near though. It was hard to get a hold of anyone and we were given a high lease renewal offer despite lower prices online. Things changed though once we were put in touch with Casey and Francy. Shout-out to both as theyve helped us navigate through signing the lease for a different unit within the building!

I cant recommend this place more highly! From the style of the apartments, the (newly renovated) amenities, and the quality of the staff, my time at Avalon Courthouse has been absolutely wonderful. I cant speak for any other Avalon properties, but this place is managed and run the right way. The location is great - just 1 min from the Courthouse metro, plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a movie theater, walking distance to CVS, convenience store and dry cleaner/tailor IN the building, a block from the police station so the area is safe, and walking distance to Clarendon bars & restaurants as well as Arlington National Cemetery. The maintenance team is very responsive and always helpful and knowledgeable - theyll take the time to explain what is being fixed or why, and how it could be better maintained or cared for in the future. Front desk staff couldnt be more kind and willing to help - they are always so friendly and you cant help but smile after talking with them. Very dog friendly - my dog has been spoiled rotten by them! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Love my apartment here - it is very cozy and sunny! It is literally two steps away from the metro station which makes it even more valuable. I would always recommend the Avalon communities (all their apartments are very nice and clean) and especially my current place. In addition, it is located in a very nice part of the city - it is very quiet here. On the other hand there are plenty of grocery stores like Safeway, Whole Foods and dining places that are steps away.

I would not re sign a lease here or recommend this building to a friend. The building is clean and the location is great, but aside from that there are not many positives. The staff is not helpful or friendly and that matters greatly in my opinion when it comes to choosing a living community. Some of the front desk team is helpful enough on small matters but most of the team seems very inconvenienced when asking them a question at the desk. Additionally, I had a terrible experience with the leasing team, it was one of the most mishandled professional experiences I have ever been a part of and was detrimental to my career and future living situation. It is important to note the maintenance team is kind, friendly, and keep the building operating beautifully. When it comes to amenities the majority are closed at the moment due to corona virus: the gym is pretty old, the pool space is good. Finally, the handling of Covid-19 does not impress me. They have stopped deliveries at the lobby, meaning you need to leave your apartment therefore interacting with way more people to get your food. They have the gym open but for some reason will not open the coffee in the lobby. There is a complete lack in consistency surrounding protocols. In terms of my individual unit, I love it. However I can get a similar unit anywhere else in courthouse for a similar price.

I have been living at Avalon Courthouse Place for almost two years now and have had a very positive experience. The location of the apartment block is outstanding with the Washington metro right at your doorstep. Schools, public parks and grocery stores are all located at a convenient walking distance. The service and maintenance staff is the best part about staying here. All my service and maintenance requests were attended in a matter of hours. What is more, the staff is courteous and friendly too, something which is extremely important to me as a foreigner living in a new country. Whether you are single, married with kids (which I am) or live with your friends - this is the perfect place to be in the D.C. area. I could not be more happier giving Avalon Courthouse Place a five star review it truly deserves.

We are most impressed with the professionalism and helpfulness of the front desk staff. We would like to call out Donna for always going above and beyond what is required. For example, when we were out of town, she picked up a package for us and stored it at the front desk instead of letting it get returned to sender. As another example, she took care of investigating an issue regarding vehicle parking for me.We also wanted to call out Abigail for assisting us when we were renting. She was able to get us desired room specifications and even pictures in order to help our leasing choice.

I have been here for about two years now, having recently moved to a different unit within the same apartment for my second lease.Apartments are very clean and spacious for their price point in the Arlington area (I have lived in several over the years). Steps away from the metro station, very short walks from CVS, restaurants, bars, grocery stores and other establishments. The gym was recently renovated, the pool is back open, and there are also shared spaces for grilling/relaxing in the courtyard.The staff who work here have been uniformly fantastic - they are professional, friendly, and efficient, from leasing to front desk to maintenance. Djafar, Sidney, and Francy were all helpful and prompt throughout the leasing process. Chuck and Andre from maintenance have always been friendly and efficient in their work for the rare times I need anything. I would like to give a special shoutout to Abby, who is always helpful, cheerful, and contributes to the apartment feeling like a community.

By far the worst apartment building I have ever lived in. The reviews here are correct. This building is really cheap and noisy. The air quality is also very poor. My guests get sick whenever they come over and complain about the air.You will feel scammed after you sign the lease. Dont fall for it. The building management team will act nice just to lure you in and take your money.There are so many other apartment buildings in this area. It would be crazy to decide to live here. Please do yourself a favor and do not choose Avalon Courthouse Place as your home. Do not even visit if you have friends that live here.

I am impressed daily with the entire team and their tirelessly efforts during unprecedented times to make sure all residents are safe while also comfortable in our home. Can’t currently recommend this place. Even though the maintenance and front desk staff are good and attentive, the building is in poor repair. The windows leak cold air and are filthy because they can’t be cleaned from the inside, the place is under constant repair and renovation that involves loud machinery during the (telework) day, the elevators are ancient and rickety, the gas stove/oven is stinky and has no ventilation, and the HVAC systems are extremely inefficient and old. Honestly, the place needs a COMPLETE overhaul, or just a tear down.To the credit of the maintenance team, they quickly fixed the water heater and replaced the carpet padding after it leaked and flooded a corner of the bedroom.

I want to take a moment to write a positive review for a situation that took place this Saturday evening. There was a man not feeling well, and Izana (who recently started working in the front desk) handled the situation wonderfully. I saw from the side how Izana calmly helped this man to sit down, offered water, called an ambulance and stayed with him while also being attentive to the residents. He went above and beyond with kindness and assistance. It is important to recognize the great work and dedication of team members like Izanas.

Good place to live in a great location. Not overpriced like many other apartments in the area. Im also impressed with how theyve handled the COVID-19 pandemic. The leasing office has kept the residents updated on changes . The concierge staff is super friendly and helpful, despite working limited hours now. And the cleaning and maintenance staff have done a great job keeping the place clean.

Moving is extremely stressful, but I cannot say enough nice things about the leasing staff at Avalon Courthouse. Ive been working with Marybeth at Avalon for the last few weeks and she has made the process of touring and signing a lease a breeze. Thanks for all of your help, Marybeth! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS - OLD BUILDING, TERRIBLE STAFFWhere to begin... Maybe the old building that is constantly requiring repairs or leaking into your apartment or hallway. Be prepared to see the following phrase - we appreciate in advance your cooperation and understanding - in the almost daily emails mentioning either elevators being out of service, a neighboring apartment being renovated creating noise for the entire day, or some other problem with the property.Next, the incompetent staff. From a front desk team that treats you like you are a nuisance any time you come up to them, to a leasing office that will screw up simple tasks on a regular basis, the staff at Avalon has continued to go downhill ever since Carlos left. I could write a novel with all of the incidents Ive had with the staff here. I have been a resident for 8 years and have finally had enough. I am counting down the days until my lease expires in February.Finally, the shambolic handling of the COVID situation. I understand that these are unique difficult times and because of that I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but again Avalons incompetence has made me mention it here. They have made us go down to the lobby to receive all food deliveries, which was done to stop delivery drivers from walking through the complex. So instead of not needing to interact with anyone, and the delivery drivers leaving food at your door, you instead have to leave your apartment, ride in the elevator with other residents, and pick up your food from the lobby, where there is usually a large amount of delivery drivers and other residents waiting. So in an effort to protect residents they have gone with an option that requires contact with on average around 5 people (including delivery drivers waiting at the drop off table), instead of an option requiring contact with ZERO people. Well done Avalon. Oh, but they will let outside contractors walk through the hallways to do the apartment renovations or repair work. For some reason they are different from food delivery drivers.Next, the pool situation. I dont even use the pool, but for me this was a great example of the incompetence of this place. All of my friends in surrounding properties had their pools open for 4 weeks prior to Avalon opening theirs. While Avalon only sent vague emails saying they were working on a plan (Im not sure why they needed this time since the reopening guidelines were issued months before), other residents in surrounding buildings were enjoying their pools. Finally, when they did reopen, they decided that the pool would be closed on SUNDAY. Not a weekday, but the day most people are free and wanting to use the pool. Im guessing this was because they were so late coming up with a plan that they couldnt get lifeguards on Sundays, but for me was a great example of typical Avalon incompetence.In summary, avoid this place at all costs. You will quickly regret signing a lease here. There are so many nice, modern properties for the same price in the surrounding area.

AVOID this apartment complex at all costs!! They PREY on individuals during COVID! They throw false claims of apartment damage during move out and ILLEGALLY withhold security deposit. When we moved out their maintenance team did a walk through and said it was returned in ready-to-move-in condition!!

I never was happier with a move-in experience! Djafar was wonderful, professional and accommodating. Daniel was also very Sweet, helpful and patient. The building is very well maintained. My apartment is sparkling and beautiful with everything you need. Love the amenities and can’t wait for summer to hop in the pool and chill in the hot tub.

I lived at Avalon Courthouse Place for almost ~ 2 years . Everything about our community was awesome. The manager Erin is an extremely friendly lady always helpful and very professional. The leasing office staff from 2017 onward very helpful management. The front office staff : Donna, Hadia and Frank as well as the other front desk staff ( can’t recall oops ) are always ready to respond in a very professional and pleasant manner no matter what is the situation . 😁my packages and Amazon deliveries were always done efficiently.Truly amazing front desk personnel who makes your day brighter ! and your evening so comfortable ! The maintenance staff : Chuck, Chris, Ahmed and their new manager (this Year ... ) all are available to respond promptly and solve professionally any whatever issue ! Truly incredible maintenance team... I enjoyed my flat, the community, the location, the clean building, the safety, the garage parking space, the most recent renovated corridors ( very much appreciated..) . My fiancee and I have lived here for about 3 months now and we both love this place. The rent is (relatively) affordable for the area, the units are really great, and the service is fantastic. We frequently get invites to resident events, and it feels like the management company really cares about this place. Its also the only apartment complex Ive lived in where I can rarely hear anything going on in my neighbors apartments--the units are designed well so its rare you hear anything from neighboring units. Courthouse Place has competent and friendly staff in all of its offices--leasing, front desk, and maintenance. Ive been particularly pleased that the few times weve ever had to submit a maintenance request its been dealt with in less than 24 hours. I would highly recommend Courthouse Place to anyone looking for an apartment. We hope to stay here for many more years!

The staff at Avalon Courthouse Place is simply amazing - professional, thoughtful, and concerned about the well-being of residents. A family member has lived there for over a decade, and it has been great. Marcus and Donna set a great tone for the team and the building. My apartment flooded three times in as many years from faulty sprinkler pipes on the 20th floor (as did dozens of other apartments), and when I left I was charged an exorbitant rate for damage moving out ($580 to replace a flimsy masonite door).

I have been a resident since January 2014. Prior to this apartment, I used to live in Bethesda. I took my time to find the right apartment that met all my needs and was very happy to find Avalon Courthouse. Its now 4 years later and the management and staff are exceptional. Even with the change in staff now and again, their service to the residents is still great throughout these years. The team, from the front desk staff to the maintenance team to the managers, have been responsive to our inquiries for apartment service requests as well as parking permits or just picking up packages from the concierges. When maintenance is scheduled for apartment, we are able work without incident with the staff to schedule these appointments. That has been a plus for us since both our schedules are very hectic and we like to be present during any visits. The community is clean and the cleaning crew are kind. We appreciate coming home to a clean environment including the elevator, lobby, and the common rooms. This also speaks about the residents who also value the community. The management has been updating common areas and its looking even more pleasing. We like that we live near the metro, many shops and restaurants. It is very convenient to get what we need. We cant stress enough how professional and welcoming the staff are in this community. We appreciate all the staffs work to make us feel at home. Thank you for the fresh brewed coffee in the morning too!

I found this complex through Google searches in the area. The plethora of positive reviews drew me in and the leasing office went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable in the process of finding where to live. Coming from Florida it was a huge adjustment and this place has a great space that I have made my home. The staff from front desk to maintenance to cleaning and leasing do a great job of being welcoming and helpful. I don’t expect to move soon.

Great service, with prompt service from the maintenance staff. I just recently had several items fixed by Ahmed, who took time to figure out the best long-term solution. He even asked if there was anything he could fix before he left; we actually thought of an issue that required him to get extra supplies to fix. Overall, the location, front desk staff, and maintenance staff are great.

I needed my kitchen and bathroom sinks repaired. Angel (maintenance) came to fix them. He did an outstanding job and was really nice. He even cleaned up his mess, you would never even have known that he had to completely replace the entire plumbing under both sinks. Thanks for the assist!!!

Great place to live. Marcos Goncalves is my go to person. Marcos is outstanding! He goes well beyond his responsibilities to accommodate residents requests. Always pleasant and extremely helpful. All my service requests have been completed the same day or within one day of the request. The concierges staff is great and pleasant too.

The front desk staff is great as well as the leasing office. Marcos always responds quickly to my requests. I recently had a maintenance issue and Chris did a great job- prompt, professional and fixed within a couple business hours after I submitted.

This review is long overdue. Chuck, a member of the maintenance team, is an expert at reconciling maintenance issues. His repairs are spot on and he always follows up to see if there are other repairs or issues that he can assists with. He is courteous and extremely professional.

When my 20+ year old refrigerator failed, the maintenance technician, Martin, promptly diagnosed the problem and expertly repaired the unit. Aside from basic observations while on a tour of the building, prospective renters usually have no way of knowing how responsive and/or competent the staff will be in addressing requests for repairs. One of the advantages of Avalon Courthouse Place is its superb maintenance team, which is knowledgeable, prompt and thorough. For example, I recently submitted three separate, non-emergency service requests online in the evening. By 10:30 a.m. the following morning, two of the repairs had been completed, and by the end of the day the technician had arranged for an outside contractor to complete the third repair on the next business day. As the building approaches 20 years since construction, issues will sometimes arise from normal wear and tear. With the excellent maintenance team at Avalon Courthouse Place, tenants know that the necessary repairs will handled expertly and expeditiously.

The Front Desk staff are the best Ive ever experienced, out of any complex Ive ever lived in. Theyre extremely helpful with virtually any type of task, are personable, know my name, and always fun to stop and chat with when I get home. Donna in particular has helped me on numerous occasions and is always dependable and does a stellar job. Kudos to the Courthouse Place staff!!

So far, so good. Agree with the other reviews here; the staff here is generally super nice and helpful (especially Djafar!). Good location. Dont feel like Im getting gouged too much. Some of the appliances are a bit old; AC can be noisy, and my dryer has seen some things given the condition of the lint filter and drying times, but I suppose that is why this building is slightly more reasonable than comparable places in the neighborhood, and why I picked it. Cant give it 5 start yet cause Ive only been here a couple months, but pretty positive experience so far!

As current residents, my wife and I continue to be impressed with how well the entire Avalon Courthouse team has adjusted to the corona crisis; from the cleaning and maintenance crews to the front desk and administrative staff, kudos to all of you for anticipating and adjusting so well to a chaotic situation - all while maintaining everyone’s characteristic helpfulness and friendliness. I stayed here in 2017 and would not hesitate to say that this is by far the best place I have stayed in so far.Be it the amenities like 24 hour gym, a great lounge and free coffee every morning or the staff, which was exceptionally professional, helpful and always smiling.Any maintenance service request was handled in less than 24 hours, any out of the way requests were handled exceptionally well by the leasing office staff, especially Marcos who was always ready to help.The place is at a stellar location and the property has been maintained very well.

I have had great experiences living in two buildings managed by Avalon: Avalon at Courthouse Place and Avalon at Park Place. In both cases, the management was very responsive to all of my requests. They have always responded in no less than 24 hours. The companys portal is easy to use and enables users to obtain status updates of repairs, payments, etc. My neighbors in both buildings were friendly and courteous. The walls were built to prevent excess sound or disturbances. Both of my apartments were spacious and modern with more than enough living room to suit my needs. They were both thoroughly cleaned before I took residency. I am currently moving out of the area and would easily choose another Avalon building, if the company managed buildings in my new location of residency.

Excellent leasing agent, Mr. Carlos Mejia. Concierge Donna is also a jewell in the Avalon Courthouse Place crown of happy and pleasant to deal with staff members. Having interacted in person and by phone with both employees since Mid March 2018, I can anticipate my son enjoying many years in this building.

Charles Blegrave is the an extremely valuable employee. Over the past 5 years (since he has been here) he has been so helpful and kind to my family. He shows up promptly and has gone above and beyond to fix anything that needs to be repaired. He has made living here very enjoyable. Love living here! Lived in two different apartments in the building and loved both of them! Maintenance is quick and effective, and the front desk ladies (looking at you Alicia, Donna, and Fouwzia!) are AWESOME! Always super friendly and willing to help, and they know everyone by name!

Yayy! We are so happy to move in this Avalon Courthouse apartment. We really liked our new place. Perfect location and walking distance to every grocery stores, CVS and restaurants. Most Important thing is Metro is one block away. Mr. Djafar is such an amazing and helpful person. We really appreciate him for finding our perfect home. Amenities including gym, pool, packaging room, common areas are so great. Front Desk and office always welcomes us so warmly and always ready to help. We are new to this area and we really love staying here.Thank you so much Mr. Djafar again. We definitely gonna stay here for couple of years.We found our perfect home with a great view from the balcony and it’s near to DMV area. We love it!!

Moving out this week after 3 years. It was a great apartment. Yes, the kitchens are a little dated, yes its expensive, but thats Courthouse for you. It was always clean, maintenance came immediately whenever something went wrong, and the amenities are great. The best part is its QUIET. Cement block between the units so you will never hear your neighbors.

So far I have had a terrific experience at Avalon Courthouse Place. The staff is extremely professional and polite. In particular, I have to thank the maintenance guys Bao and Ahmed who went above and beyond in helping me with an issue that went way beyond my skills as a handyman. They are awesome!

I agree with the theme of other reviews of Avalon Courthouse Place in that this is a true community of great staff which is the best of many reasons to choose to live here. They are very responsive to the needs of the residents and, in fact, anticipated many questions prior to and while we were moving in. Very happy with our experience so far!

Weve only lived at Avalon Courthouse for a little more than a week, but have already had great experiences that have confirmed why we moved here, after getting recommendations from several friends who are current and former Avalon residents. Specifically, the maintenance team (Ahmed and Angel) are fantastic! We had a couple issues we discovered after moving in, and Ahmed and Angel have always responded super quickly to fix our problems. Theyve been extremely thorough in taking care of any issue and are always friendly and helpful! Frank at the front desk is also a rockstar and has a great smile and attitude that brightens your day when you walk by the desk. Carlos and Marcos in the leasing office were also extremely helpful throughout the entire leasing and move-in process. Overall, you cant beat the location and amenities of Avalon Courthouse, but its really the staff that puts this building at a five-star review. We are so glad we made Avalon Courthouse our new home!

Ive had such a wonderful experience at Avalon so far! The front desk staff are friendly and attentive, the building is kept very clean, and the amenities are great! Its definitely the best package in the Courthouse area - affordable rent, large bedrooms with private bathrooms, a great pool/courtyard area, and many more amenities. I also love living in a pet-friendly building, because as Im too busy to have my own pet right now its great to get to see others dogs and pet them!

Avalon Courthouse is great! Front desk staff are very friendly and maintenance comes to fix any service problems very quickly. Moving in was a breeze with the loading dock and freight elevator. Theres a cafe/convenient store on the first floor that is a little pricy and not affiliated with Avalon but its convenient if you need something last minute and dont want to walk/drive to the store. Also love that its a pet-friendly community since I have a dog.

We loved living here! We only moved because we bought a house. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and maintenance responds to requests very quickly. It was a great experience!

Overall Ive had no issues. However, the concierge staff is super unfriendly and not amenable to requests. When you ask to borrow a cart or the status of a package, they are very upset and seem extremely inconvenienced by your request. Ive called to ask about loud apartment construction noises, and was basically yelled at for inquiring. For a concierge service, they are disagreeable and unwilling to provide assistance.

I have been here for 4 years,all the staff at lobby desk and office have been such a great team,They have been so helpful and courteous and pleasant. Charles,of course is the man, lately Boa is great addition to the team, front lobby ladies are an asset to the team here,the residents and dogs cant help chatting with them.

Overall, living here has been great! We love all the dogs, the great front desk staff, how easy and quickly maintenance requests are fulfilled, and the location.Things that can be improved are the gym (equipment looks like it has not been replaced since the building was built in 1999), the WiFi in the common areas, and the kitchen finishings in some of the apartments.The only truly negative experience we have had was when trying to resign the first offer from the leasing office has been around a 10 percent increase in rent. We were able to negotiate this however the entire process left a bad taste in our mouths, and in order to get only a 4 percent rent increase we had to sign a 10 month lease (we would have rather signed a 12 or 24 month one!). Overall a great apartment building with that one caveat.

Avalon Courthouse was my home for three years. Not only the building is located in a wonderful area but amenities are great. But, the most important Courthouse building has, is the kindness and warmest of its staff. Thanks Chuck, Chris, Karen, Donna, Djafar......sorry for the names I have forgotten. I’ve lived in Avalon Courthouse for many years and have been very impressed with the hiring practice of incorporating professional, hard working and friendly members to the team at the Courthouse property.I’d like to bring your attention to two amazing staff members, Frank Critton and Angel, Jose Pineda at Courthouse. On August 6, arrived home around 10pm. Upon entering the building passed the front desk said hello to Frank and headed up to my apartment. In an attempt to unlock my door the handle fell off into my hand with both locks still engaged. After explaining the situation to Frank, he discarded his food and accompanied me back to the apartment. He attempted to fix the handle lock and contacted Angel. Angel after a long day of work quickly responded back to the building. Frank and Angel coordinated their efforts and soon had the handle temporarily repaired opening my apartment door. Angel explained that the handle and lockset needed to be replaced in the morning.Next day, Angel arrived with a new door handle and lockset. He spent time repairing the lock and reassured me that it would work properly. Angel is always a professional and willing to do what is needed to make the residents feel safe.

Ive lived here for 5 years and I cant say enough good things about the building staff here. Angel and Criss came and installed a new microwave a full week ahead of schedule. They were quick and clean, and even spent time cleaning afterwards. On top of that, theyre always friendly faces both when attending to issues in our apartment, or around the community when I see them. Were lucky to have them. Plus, Donna at the front desk is an absolute gem (it helps that she loves our dogs so much). If youre looking for a dog friendly community, this place is great.

Read your lease carefully - we were first given a document with a higher rent than the agent stated, then a corrected document with a shorter lease term than stated. Erin, the leasing manager, and upper management are totally apathetic to resident concerns. A desk attendant left me outside in the cold and threatened to call the police on me when I had forgotten my key. Both of these concerns, among others, were raised numerous times and ignored.Great amenities.

Maintenance service has been great! I put in a request online and it gets addressed immediately. Chuck and Bao were awesome! Very impressed!

The noise pollution is absolutely horrible (from top to bottom and side to side) from constant millennial partying in the courtyard until the wee hours, and noisy neighbors and video game addicts who blast music video games, videos, and “other” noises at all hours of the day with no consideration of anyone around them... like 1-4 am..... As well as outside constant trash pickup noise; loud construction noise, and constant traffic noise starting from 5am onwards literally from Sunday to Sunday - I haven’t had a decent sleep here for 4 months without a sound canceling machine. I do not recommend this place without serious consideration of exactly where your apartment is located .. mine was apparently located in not the best location... renter/buyer be aware....

The people who work at the complex make the difference. The building is nice and the location is very good - but the people who provide the services from the managers, sales representatives, building maintenance, front desk associates, and cleaning staff are all very competent, professional, polite, responsive - and personable. I have lived here for almost nine years and they are the ones who solidified my decision to continue to live here.

My move in to Avalon Courthouse was a very smooth process. The staff have all been extremely helpful to me, and so I have had no problems settling into my new home. Djafar Sambou in particular has been my main point of contact and I appreciate all the help that he has given me. This property is in a very convenient location, with easy access to the Metro and to stores and services. I especially like the fact that there is a Golds gym just around the corner, and that the building itself also has a spacious and well equipped Fitness Center, so absolutely no excuse not to exercise! The Management obviously makes every effort to keep the property in pristine condition and this adds to my feeling of comfort. So far, I have found it to be a very peaceful place, with very few disturbances. Seems like a great place to live.

The staff here are amazing. My dishwasher broke Monday night and I put in a request to fix it. The next day Bao and Ahmed were out to fix it. They ended up replacing my entire dishwasher. They both were extremely friendly and respectful of my apartment. They removed all my dishes from the original washer and even replaced them in the new one. They even cleaned my kitchen floor before they left.

I just recently moved into Avalon Courthouse and could not be happier! The apartments are beautiful, spacious, and affordable (for DMV standards, at least). Sahar was incredibly helpful and kind and even stayed late one evening to show me the apartment I am now in. She continues to be a great resource even after moving! The front desk employees already recognize me and all of my work orders have been addressed same day/next day. The building is very quiet but incredibly close to the metro, grocery stores, and restaurant/bars. I have nothing but great things to say about Avalon Courthouse!!

One of the best things since I moved here is having Fouwzia at the front desk. She is always helpful and I bet she knows every tenants name! Im sad to hear that she is leaving. Thank you, Fouwzia, for being here!

I have been living here for a year now, and every thing is going great so far. Mr. Djafar Sambou, one of the community consultants, is very helpful and, to be honest, he is one of the reasons that made me renew my contract for another year in addition to the great amenities. If you have any issues, you can surely depend on him. He will get everything done for you in no time.

I just moved in about a month ago and I can honestly say Ive never lived anywhere where I felt like I was really getting this much value for my money. Arlingtons not a cheap area but I toured a lot of complexes before settling here and I would absolutely recommend it so far. The location is fantastic, the common facilities are remarkably well-maintained and the level of service provided has been amazing. It may not be the newest or most luxury building in the area, but I would say the price is more than fair for the balance of location and services provided.Id always heard that Avalon properties stood out as a refreshingly human management company and now I know why. The staff is warm, helpful and responsive. Sahar and Marcos in the leasing office are always available to assist residents with any number of questions and Chuck and Carlos on the maintenance team have promptly and professionally taken care of any service request within a day. From the sleek resident web portal to the free coffee and tea in the morning, I have a newfound belief that there might indeed just be a few property management companies that treat their residents with respect, and this is certainly one of them.

Avalon Courthouse is one of the best places that I have lived: its in a great location (Arlington, for those who dont know), has a wonderful staff (especially Djafar in management who answered like the 100 questions I had before moving in), great amenities, great service call response times, and the list goes on. Avalon Courthouse gets 5 stars!

The hallway outside my apartment flooded into my kitchen, and my rent was drastically increased after the first year so I did not renew.The maintenance staff was superb though.

This comment is for the Avalon Clarendon (since they didnt have a Google page yet, I post it here) – I have been living in Clarendon apt for 3 years. The apt has previously been managed by Bozzutto and recently Avalon took over the management. Last week the main electricity transformer of the apt has exploded causing a fire and power outage. The residents have experienced great inconvenience - they had to find an alternative accommodation while most of the hotels in the area were fully booked. Residents had to spend hours on the phone with their insurance companies. They had to took off from their work to relocate. Had to drive 30 mins to a far away hotel where they could have power and hot water. You would think that in such a situation the management company Avalon would try to find a way to compensate residents for the severe inconvenience they experienced. Well, Avalon doesnt seem to prioritize consumer satisfaction. They dont plan to compensate residents for the time & money loss. As someone who stayed in this apt for 3 years I want to warn any future resident that Avalon will fail you, frustrate you in exchange of a premium rent amount.

I lived in an 800sq ft 1br/1ba since January 2018 and just moved out after buying my own place. Sahar, Marco, and Carlos are an awesome team and they made my transition into and out of the building seamless. Donna and Frank at the front desk also ran a tight ship and were always exceptionally friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough, not only for its location, but more importantly thanks to its superb staff.

I moved in about 9 months ago and everything has been perfect since then. The quality of the apartment has stood the test of time, maintenance requests have been handled very efficiently, communication from the front office has been great and all of the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful, especially Djafar, who has been my go to guy ever since I moved in. I’ve been living in Avalon Courthouse for over 3 years now and felt it was finally time to share what a great experience I’ve had! Moving into Arlington there is an abundance of apartment complexes to pick from and for the most part they are all pretty similar. Same amenities, similar square footage etc. What makes Avalon Courthouse stand out are the people who work here. The regular front desk staff is always pleasant and go out of their way to assist you whenever possible. The maintanace team is AMAZING! I’ve never waited more than a day for them to come answer my request. And the best part, it’s never just a “bandaid fix” they want to ensure the issue is fixed to your strandard. Truly exceptional service!

Great value for the area. The management (Djafar in particular, thats who Ive worked with mostly) is top-notch and very attentive to your needs/questions. Maintenance is prompt, friendly, and knowledgable, and both my apartment upon move-in and all common spaces were clean and well-maintained.

My husband and I have lived at Avalon Courthouse Place for about a year and a half now, and absolutely love our apartment. Its centrally located to the metro and a ton of bars and restaurants, and is pretty close to D.C. Whenever we have entered a service request, it is dealt with promptly and professionally. Everyone who works at the front desk is great, but we especially love Donna and Fouwzia. They are so friendly and go out of their way to get to know the residents and make everyone feel welcome. Not too long after we moved in, Fouwzia had my and my husbands names memorized, and always makes a point to say hello and ask how everything is going, whether it was updates on wedding planning or how work went that day. Fouwzia and Donna are so professional, and go above and beyond, and we love them for it!

Fouwzia at the front desk is awesome! She learned my name very quickly after I moved in (which I didnt expect her to do). She is knowledgable, efficient and friendly. If I have a package she grabs it for me before I even have to ask. Whenever I have a question about the building she is able to answer it with a friendly demeanor.

Hands down the best staff EVER! I spent awhile searching for the perfect apartment but once I walked in here- I immediately felt at home. Sahar, Marcos, Carlos and Marybeth were all so friendly and welcoming which made the decision a no brainer almost instantly. My apartment upon move in was extremely Clean, remodeled with gorgeous flooring throughout, spacious kitchen & bathrooms and most of all QUIET (I never hear any of my neighbors ever). Parking is never an issue, to the point I park in the same spot almost everyday. The pool is always clean and has plenty of loungers and chairs. The concierge is open 24/7- meaning all of my packages are available whenever I pick them up (no specific time of day) and they always buzz in my food deliveries! Maintenance issues are always resolved within hours!!!! I’ve never lived in an apartment complex where I’ve been extremely satisfied with everything until now. Thank you Sahar, Marcos, Carlos and Marybeth for making me feel at home and my move in seamless and stress free!

Great place to live. Big shout-outs to Mrs. Donna and Mrs. Tabatha, we had a rocky moving in process due to miscommunications between old tenants and management, but these front desk ladies/managers more than made up for the problems. They’re there when you need them, always with a smile and a laugh. They are the reasons we resigned our lease for a second year.

Boo and Ahmed came immediately to fix our lock of the entry door after I called for maintenance. They fixed it very quick.

I have lived here at Avalon Courthouse Place for the last 4 months, and I love it! I knew it would be a great place to live due to the welcoming atmosphere I felt when I walked through the doors. My agent Djafar Sambou was excellent. He really listened to what I wanted and needed in an apartment community, answered all my questions, as well as offered several suggestions that helped me make the perfect decision for the apartment which fit me best! :)The building is clean and well taken care of.. The Concierge Staff and Maintenance staff are Awesome too.. I havent had a problem with anyone here... I also love the walkability it offers. I moved in a couple of weeks ago and already love the place. Move in was easy, the location is ideal - easy commute to my work in DC - and the gym is awesome.
