Do not come here! Its a scam!! I paid my $50 for an application to reserve my unit. That wasnt going to be ready until after 15days that I needed to move in. I still was going to proceed with the move. Im a veteran so the documents that the leasing staff (Brigette & Ester) needed would have to be mailed form the VA. I communicated this with Ester and told her I wasnt sure when this document will arrive but Im working on finishing it as soon as I get my documents. Ester said it wasnt as issues since were months away from when the apartment would be available. Three weeks later I finally get my documents and they said the current resident extended their lease for a month and they granted it! What?! I paid for the application to secure the unit!! I told you my situation, and you still allowed the previous resident to extend pushing my move in date 2 months. Unacceptable and very unprofessional!! This is not a way to do business! I terminated the application because I will not so business with scammers!! Do not lease from them!!!
Always insist on a final walk through upon moving out!!!Our final bill included charges for spots in the rug when we take our shoes off at the door because thats our culture, not to mention our white 8x11 area rug took up the entire living room!Interesting how our final water bill was higher than any of the other 13 mos we lived there & we moved out on the 8th!Literally, every other month they would have to shut the water off for maintenance!Other than this its your typical apartment complex & Ester is really nice.
I’m actually quite disturbed with a phone conversation I just had with this apartment complex. I was currently affected by covid working for the airport and was laid off due to the decreasing of traveling. I would like to Point out. I am a young African American educated women who is currently dealing with a tragedy as most. The reason I specified my nationality is because I’ve visited this apartment complex back in January to view an apartment and the experience was not well I wasn’t offered an application or asked when I would like to move it. Was just quick and short why I have no idea. At some point you are usually asked certain questions pertaining to moving in. I have been fortunate to have supportive family assisting me and my one year old daughter.i submitted an application for a move in for august and received a very disturbing call that was indeed disgusting with the delivery after I explained. My situation. I was told that doesn’t even qualify for our smallest one bedroom. My application Has not even been processed I have qualified for an 1400 a month lease. This. Delivery was horrible of course this isn’t my set. Income I’m just still projecting we will still be in these unforeseen circumstances with my job. I was really interested in these apartments for my daughter and myself which was very suitable for our commute and convenience. This blows me that people have no interest or compassion of understanding a situation before making assumptions.
I dont understand the negative reviews. I lived in these apartments for approximately 4 years until 2013. I hope the complex hasnt deteriorated that much. I am currently in the market to relocate from a home to an apartment and was considering them again. I rarely had any problems with the management then and maintenance was timely/friendly. When I moved in they were finishing the upgrades: wood laminate flooring, brand new appliances; including stainless steel fridge, glass top stove and new sinks/faucets. The water being shut off was a common occurrence, but most of the time repairs were done while I was at work. I seldom had to deal with water issues. Love that the units have washer/dryer, great for cold winter days. Tip: invest in a $25 - $40 dehumidifier to take care of any moisture from the washer/dryer.
I have lived here for three months now and I have absolutely no complaints. Maintenance has always been done usually the day after reporting an issue, always within two days. I have had no issues with bugs. The office staff has been helpful and theyre always friendly. The apartments themselves are nice, theyre not perfect but theyre cozy and comfortable and really great for the price. I had a couple semi major issues in the apartment before I moved in and they got them all fixed before I moved in, including putting in new flooring, so theyre definitely willing to ensure the apartments are clean and working;. If you live on the third floor youre also likely to get vaulted ceilings which are really nice. The fact that its gated makes me feel safe and theres adequate lighting so at night I feel safe walking around. Its also in a great location, close to the major highways and right across the street from Kroger and the library.Overall Ive had a great experience and foresee living here until I purchase a house. I would definitely recommend living here.
I actually lived in these apartments a couple years ago and i can say i love them so much i plan on moving back this October. The office is always friendly and i never really had to even call the maintenance for anything i think i called them once to change my filter and when i did the maintenance was very prompt on fixing the situation fast. Ester is the manager on the property and has been since the last time i lived here which says a lot on how she runs the property usually you can tell if the turnover rate in the office is high. So i am giving this property a 5 star rating. If you havent called this place your home and are looking into them you should def. give them a try
I have lived here for 8 years and absolutely love it! Maintenance is good, any maintenance request Ive made is fixed quick & right, never had to call them back about anything. The office staff is great, customer service at its finest, without question. Yes, there are occasionally water leaks, but they are handled better than what is mentioned in other reviews & we are NEVER left without water overnight, and it is only ever shut off to make a repair - 10 am to maybe 5pm & Im at work during that time, so Im never affected. I will continue to live here, because the complex is nice and well maintained, the rates are reasonable for the growing area, but mostly because they go above and beyond in making my apartment feel like home & that is more than any other place I have ever lived! Good Job Guys, and thank you!
Im about half way through my lease and so far everyone has been very helpful and friendly. The apartment sizes and layouts are reasonably priced and the maintenance crew has been out to fix everything the day after it was reported. Regular water outages have been somewhat annoying but they are typically done with the maintenance by 5pm so you barely notice it most times. The staff is up front with any part of your statements and are happy to help and answer any questions at the office or over email. The pool, fitness center, recreation area, and basketball courts are easy to access and offer enough to get you by with your workout or to just have a little fun. The walk to the mail center is a little much but it really depends on where your apartment is within the complex. Covered parking is relatively cheap but not always necessary, again, depending on where your apartment is.Ive seen a LOT of people with pets around the complex, ranging from mid sized dogs full of energy to cats that just hang out on balconies, not owning any pets of my own I take this as a sign that it is a good complex for pet owners, theres even areas with disposal stations throughout the complex. The staff keeps a fun spirit in the office and shows it by holding various contests throughout the year, mostly for decorating balconies. They also leave a newsletter with various crafts, recipes, and dates/times for community events.Overall I would like to give this complex a 4.5/5... but google wont let me
Lived here for 19 months, would definitely consider coming back if looking for an apartment again. Jennifer was always great with us, very helpful. If anything, it wasnt pleasant to have the water shut off quite frequently but they are great at notifying you prior to the date(s) the water was shut off. Overall, loved living here!
I truly enjoy living here!! The office staff is exceptional!! Jennifer was who I met when I first called and came in to view unit and she is the best!!! Esther and Brigette are great as well. They are quick to respond to any issues; they always answer the phone; they give notice to things going on at apt or if they need to enter for any reason and anytime you put in maintenance request, the order is completed almost immediately. They have ample free parking. I have nothing bad to say...have lived here for 1 1/2 years now👍🏽
We have lived here since April 2017. We like it here a lot. So much so we renewed our lease in 2018 and plan to do so in 2019. Esther, and the rest of the leasing staff have been very kind an accommodating to any questions or concerns weve had.Pros: its a quiet community, weve never had an issue with bugs, and pet friendly. Maintenance staff is very responsive. The office is open 7 days a week.Cons: Limited parking, no garages, cannot pay rent onlineWe are very pleased and will continue to live here for at least a couple more years.
My fiancé and i have lived in these apartments for 7 months now and we love it! staff is kind, apartments are nice and spacious, they’re dog friendly, neighbors are quiet, and maintenance is quick to fix any problem we have. would highly recommend!
I have been a resident over three years and this is my home away from home the next time I move it will be in the house the manager Esther as well as Jennifer Amy and Bridgette are like family it is a very comfortable environment to live in,, safe,, Great schools The staff was extremely nice and understanding they always work with you as well as your maintenance request I never have to wait any extended period of time to get anything fixed as well as I had an accident where the tenant above me flooded my apartment and Hunters Point move me to another apartment better than the one I had previously at their expense I could only give them five stars because there was not an option for 10 ...
I have lived in Hunters Point for five years. I started off in a two bedroom, then changed to a wheelchair accessible one bedroom unit after 2 years, when it came available. The staff here have always been incredible. They are cheerful and professional, and willing to find ways to solve any problem. Maintenance here is GREAT! The grounds are always clean and well maintained. There are regular group events - like bbq picnics and holiday parties - to encourage a sense of community.Im sorry to be leaving. These are really good apartments, and the staff are really good people.
I didn’t read the reviews until after I had moved in. That was a big mistake. This is literally the WORST apartment I have ever stayed in. You’re better off at budget suites down the street due to the fact that there will be less roaches there. Literally I dealt with roaches at the complex more than I have ever had to while living in Texas. Oh and let’s not forget how much they cut off the water for repairs. Your water will be cut off at least once or twice a month. Ester is unprofessional and does not know how to train her staff properly. For some reason, there is always a switch in the person working at the front. Only two people ever remain there, Ester and Jennifer. Everyone else is different as the day changes. Which means Ester will tell you one thing and the other people will tell you something completely different. Just save yourself the headache and move somewhere else.
Love these apartments! I lived here for almost three years. Maintenance has always been quick. The office has always been friendly and willing to work with you. I wanted to give these apartments the 5 stars they deserved!
I loveeeee this place very tranquil neighbors are friendly. A very clean landscape and all areas. The staff at the office very professionals. This is a place that I can finally call HOME. I do recomend 100%.
People are friendly and staff is friendly. However.. do expect your water to be turned off at least once a month, which will be turned off from 7am-6pm. They have no respect for privacy and do not give proper warnings when they will inspect you apt. They have lost my packages a couple times and found them about a month later.
My wife and I are very pleased with our stay.We have lived here for 5 months and enjoy the beautiful view of the pond and the trees. Its a great neighborhood with wonderful people who talk to each other and the staff is very attentive. We plan on staying here until we buy our house in next few years.
Your peace of mind, safety and security arent a priority here. With that said you make your own living choices.
I have no issues with rent policies and even the noise. It is a Safe area near the viridian. The only issue I would say is that it did have one too many frequent water issues where water would be shut off in the entire complex for the whole day up until the evening. One time, I was given no notice of the water being shut off and I went to work out and was not able to take a shower before I went off to work. The people at the leasing center did very little to help me out with what was happening or even inform me on when the water would come back on. Other than that, its a nice apartment. They raised rental rates but none the less, it was a pretty decent stay.Update:Lady in front office claimed that we didnt have a forwarding address and sent notifications of our final bill back to themselves which makes zero sense. We moved out SIX months ago. No one called to ask if we had a forwarding address, nothing. She was rude and lackluster about our issue. Our final bill was more than what this place is worth. Thank you but no thanks. This place was a nightmare moving out of. People, dont move here and tell them you have pets because they will charge you a substantial amount of money on move out even though, we had our apartment professionally cleaned out. This place is horrible service and def not worth the headaches. Save yourself and stay far away not because you of the living environment but because of the just proper care for customer service.
This apartment complex is terrible! I would not recommend it anyone. To start out with my husband and I have dogs, so it was difficult to find a place that would take 2 boxers. We only lived there for 7 months. The one bedroom had mold problems in bathroom that the front office refused to fix or even acknowledge. The dryer vent had never been cleaned and was a fire hazard. Also you could not shut the door to the noisy off balanced dryer and washer because if you did then the bathroom would literally have water from the condensation running down the walls. The first full week in our place our convertible was attempted to be stolen and had the top slashed. The office hardly said sorry and acted like it was my fault for having a nice car in a gated complex. The water was shut off with out notice to us 4 times and on the last two time making for total of 6 times they notified only because I had called prior and asked why no one had called us or put a not on the door. The people next to us were very rude and had domestic issues at all hours. I also only used the gym once and found the equipment in bad repair to the point that it was borderline unsafe. I also found a bed bug on me after working out. I notified the office and to my knowledge and no action was taken. I flipped out and never went back for fear of them. When we moved in I paid all 7 months upfront since we were moving in from out of state. I had wanted to pay a deposit knowing the end game that complexes try to pull on you but they refused to take my money and then charged me 150 per dog in what they said was half fee and half deposit. Come to find out on the lease that thy put the whole amount in the fee section so I cant get any of that money back. I was very careful when we moved out and even patched all the holes from the hanging pictures. I had the whole place cleaned by a maid. I also did a final walk through with a person from the office to ascertain any damages I might need to pay. She said that it smelled like dog and I may have to pay a pet cleaning fee. She refused to give me anything on paper about the process but told me she would know in a week. Okay no big, the carpet had a little wear on it but was fine and she even said so. So now 3 weeks after I move out I get a bill for nearly 800 for carpet replacement. I am currently fighting it, mainly because there office verbally agreed that the carpet would not need replacing. While we were there they had some staff change overs and the new staff was not as receptive as the old. But mainly I find the complex on the whole disrespectful to the tenants and they employ a lot of bait and switch techniques. I will update with how they deal with me and my issues with the move out charges. I can only hope that they dont make me pay them and I only pay the water and the pet cleaning fee as I had been told originally. But in general I would stay away from this place. Its not as nice as it looks, they did update the kitchen appliances to stainless steal but its low end quality and they just painted over the cabinets to make them look better than the old style they had been. Its not worth the cost when you can get something at a better price with better management that might just look a little older. I hope that when I update I will be able to say the office has handled my request appropriation. If not I anticipate that I will report them to the BBB.
From what I know and touring the place looks nice and well kept BUT My roommate and I were dead set on this apartment until it came to her service animal. I specifically told the man in the front office about the breed of her dog and he seemed iffy but gave hope that he would speak to his supervisor for approval so he went on and gave us the application and everything to sign. Later that day I came back with everything filled out and pen in hand, ready to sign a lease. Before I put paper to pen I asked if his supervisor approved the dog breed and he pulled out this ancient binder full of dangerous breeds and huskys were of course one and told me “today is my supervisor’s day off and I know what she’s gonna say and she’s gonna say no. They’re NO exceptions to the rule.’” Moral of the story the man was uneducated in what he was taking about and discriminating a service animal is illegal He also gave me false hope and built my excitement about finally finding a place to only waste my time completely. The manager finally spoke to me and told me he was incorrect and to come in and sign but I went elsewhere because of the poor customer service I recieved right from the start. Too bad they lost a sale and that I can’t give them a better rating based off my experience.
If I could give this place no stars I would but Ill dedicate the one star to Jennifer for getting me into these apartments when I really needed a place for me and my children but I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone the manager ester is racist and evil the woman pulled me into her office to ask me if I smoke marijuana in my apartment mind u I have three small children I dont smoke at all. They are always shutting off the water, they have huge bugs and lizards. The maintenance men are rude and inappropriate every time something happened in my building theyd blame me one time my lazy neighbors didnt feel like taking out their trash and the maintenance thought it was mine and put it infront my door I called evil ester and she said u sure it isnt yours Im like lady why would I call to talk about my own trash they didnt do anything about it. another time was when my downstairs neighbors were fighting and evil ester calls me and ask me is something going on in my unit Im like no its the people downstairs....why would u call me like it just had to be the African american causing issues. But even if u pay your rent on time and keep to your self they are still rude to u Im glad to not be living there anymore paying my money to a more deserving nicer place!
I have been asked to not renew here for no reason and I cant apply for another unit here I truly feel it has something to do with my race. I loved the apartment when I first moved in then started to notice nosey maintenance and neighbors I dont know if its because this complex is majority Caucasian residents and they look at me like I dont belong or something. The apartment isnt upgraded its pretty outdated I really chose it because it came with washer and dryer. The maintaince made me uncomfortable ever time hed come fix something hed ask me if I was married Id have to lie just to get him out my unit. The apartment manager is really heartless she had been wanting me out sense I got here and now shes getting her way. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone who has small children they arent a kid friendly complex. I had a few incidents with roaches and spiders but I sprayed the unit constantly
