I would have given zero stars if I could have! My apartment is FLEA INFESTED!! I have no pets and have treated AND flea bombed my apartment myself as well as had apartment pest control come and treat my apartment 3 times now!! Still, we cannot enter our apartment without being attacked by fleas! They have to be coming from outside of our apartment. No way they could’ve survived the amount of poison I’ve pumped into the apartment itself! This place is uninhabitable!!!! Management doesn’t care that we have no place to live! We have pleaded with them to give us a break on rent or any compensation for having to stay at hotels and with friends/family to avoid getting attacked by fleas, but they are extremely unconcerned about our living conditions. The only response I get from management is that they are new, so I guess that is supposed to be an excuse for a flea infestation?? Don’t move here!!! Keep looking!!! I pay my $1500 rent on time, every time, and I haven’t been able to stay in my own apartment in a month! I actually found FLEAS IN MY HAIR after the last night I spent there!! I wish I could afford to buy out of lease or just leave without ruining my credit, but that’s not an option for me. I will be calling the health department to see if they can help!

Okay I don’t even know where to begin. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I was without A/C the first month I moved in downstairs was freezing. Water would shut off for a couple of days. I paid extra to have this place remodeled nicely and it’s sad the way everything turned out and nobody tried to fix anything. don’t waste your money!!! I had go go 3 months without using my washer and dryer when I told the front they took forever to get back and didn’t care to help. My garbage disposal has been out three times since I’ve moved in and I’ve had to fix it three times by myself, it will take them over a week to respond with anything!!! Now my microwave and fridge went out it’s on the 3rd day and I’ve gotten no help now my groceries are basically trash! It’s sad that they don’t do anything to help or do something to make this right. They have 2 stars for a reason. Please read the reviews!!!! This was the first time on my own and I regret moving here.

The absolute worst place to deal with, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. The place has changed management probably 4 times in the 8 months that I’ve lived here, and no one knows what they’re doing, just making it up as they go along. Work orders take upwards of months – still waiting for a work order I put on my move in sheet in January! Management is extremely argumentative when confronted with problems with apartments, and never have any real explanations/apologies. Turning off water for hours with no warning, closing all amenities for months at a time, and absolutely ridiculous turnaround time for small work orders, never mind emergency ones. Not worth the money, and pictures of upgraded apartments are extremely misleading.

A/C doesnt work properly we have put in multiple requests for it to be fixed as well as other things in this apartment. No one ever shows up but they mark the request as incomplete. Very frustrated. Especially when its 80 degrees in here.

My boyfriend moved here about 4 months ago horrible ac went out 4 times fridge went out about 3 times we had to throw all our food away now it’s rats in here bitting through our snacks we can’t keep snacks in the cabinet anymore!!! I wouldn’t recommend my boyfriend told them they said they’ll send pest control and never did .

I wanted to thank Senada for helping my brother and I move in. She would respond to all our emails and answer our questions thoroughly. This was my brother’s first time getting an apartment and he was thankful that she explained everything so simply. We had gone to a few other apartments and he would leave confused about the process. I lived at this property since 2016 and have recently moved. I usually take negative reviews with a grain of salt. However, before I moved I read some of the reviews and sadly a lot of what the negative reviews document are true. I had stayed through 3 property management companies, so I had been through a lot. At this point the only things Alcove has going for it is its location and its in a safe area. I giving a 2 star rating only because I always felt safe and the location. I had experienced what everyone has stated, from the water issues, no AC, thin walls, sassy office staff etc. Id advise you to keep looking, youll get a nicer apartment for the same price.

The team from the manger down to the leasing agent all did a excellent job. I can say, this is the first apartment complex I have dealt with, where the employees made me feel at home. She made me feel so comfortable first time coming in and helped me with everything I was looking for my first apartment . These apartment are worthless do not move here. today is the fifth day without water and they are not considered with the residents many buildings has no light for the parking cars and garbage is a disaster and poop of Dogs wherever you want yesterday sent an email say that they will not give us any credit for the days that they have left us without water the gates most of the time do not work They are also stealing the cars the manager does not tell us the emails follows up on the situation we are supposedly going through this caf management company they care about their residents is pure lie are company appearance for them to create lies.

The new office management team Joanna and Sedana are super nice, very friendly which gives a very welcoming vibe that draws people in, and has been attentive to my needs from day one! Its great to have a down to earth team in charge because I feel like they will take time to listen your needs to properly diagnose the problem and come up w a solution that fix the problem ling term instead of putting a bandade over it and saying its been fixed. Lived here for 2 years now and loved it now that there is new management I noticed they never spray for pest control bugs all over flea infestation where as soon as you walk outside your covered and they charge you for pest control. Said they only spray if requested. Then why charge me every month. This place has gone down hill since new management.

I originally left a 5-star review because I LOVED the family atmosphere they HAD here. Now the new people has taken over and it feels like it’s all about money, Notice after Notice No caring, understanding people. No matter if you have health issues they don’t care! Many residents has agreed! That’s why no one is fighting to stay here anymore! I’ve never seen so many Vacancies at Alcove before! It’s a reason! Maybe if they spent more tine building a Rapport with there residents instead of constantly caring about the outside it would’ve been so much better. I definitely Miss old management! This place now not so much!

This apartment complex is not worth all the trouble that comes along with it. The water fluctuates between scalding hot and extremely cold. All of our sinks have leaked since we moved in (6 months ago) and all of the toilets run constantly. One bathtub is unusable. Now one toilet is unusable because they never bothered to follow through and repair it. Maintenance either says nothing is wrong or says theyll be back to replace a part just to never return.They also turn the water off at least once a month for 4-8 hours at a time (at least) for emergency repairs. I dont know what they think theyre repairing but they never seem to fix any of the ongoing issues. Today for example, the water has been off since at least 2pm (7 hours now). Over 2 hours ago they said the city was in the process of turning it back and here we are with no water still.The valet trash they force us to pay for has randomly stopped picking up for a week or more at a time. They gave us a new fenced in area instead of a concrete porch which youd think would be a positive. Whats the point when they do that 2 months ago then never put in grass? Why would we prefer a mud pit attached to our until (with trash left by the workers) instead of our old patio? There is always trash all over the complex and maintenance doesnt seem to keep up with it.Our entire move in experience was also negative but before they changed management. We were shown a great unit and were told our unit was identical but with a less modern color scheme. They wouldnt allow us to see the unit before move in. Called 2 days before our move in and postponed over a week when we already took off of work to move. When they showed us the unit (after lease signing) it was nothing like the example we toured. It had no lights in most rooms, cabinets particle board and falling apart, plastic coating in sinks/on counters peeling up, water damage to base boards, and the apartment hadnt been cleaned by the make ready. Our unit is such a joke that we have considered in the past if we had legal recourse to void our lease.

I usually dont bother with reviews but the lady that helped me this week was very sweet and worth the comment. Jessica was a very nice lady and very knowledgeable. I have been looking for an apartment for a few weeks now and I have been stressed but Jessica made me feel very welcomed and at ease. This property is very well kept as well. I have viewed super over priced places who dont look this good. I fell in love with the kitchen set up.

I’m a current resident, I’ve lived in Alcove for almost 3 years now. The management is friendly and quite professional. They usually handle the issues I have quickly and have them resolved asap. I love how there is lots of parking everywhere. You don’t have to worry about parking far from your apartment. The community atmosphere is nice. For me it offers a home like type feel. I’ve met lots of residents and become friends. I would definitely recommend this complex to other people. The only downfall to me is having to pay for cable.

The complex had water problems before CAF took over, but they got much worse in 2020. There have been several periods of 24 hours without hot water, and intermittent periods with no water at all for several hours and sometimes overnight.The office has had poor communication since CAF took over, often ignoring phone calls and emails unless we physically went into the office. This mixed with them trying to implement several services through 3rd party (pet registration, parking, packages) without prior announcement caused a lot of lost trust and frustration.

After doing some research online and liking what I saw I pretty much had my mind made up that I was going to apply. Called about 20 times before I got an answer and when I did the lady I spoke with JESSICA was literally answering my questions like I was bothering her and she didnt want me to move in. Talking over me, breathing hard etc. Her answers were so vague and short I felt like I was prying information out of her. Oh and complex is listed on the SPCA website as having no breed restrictions,I also read a lot of comments about people being grateful to keep their pits here, yeah NOT TRUE. Extremely disappointing

Horrible place! drug dealers. almost every week they turn off the water. They want to charge you for everything! Whole complex very dirty. If you call for an emergency they never answer or called you back. If you request a maintenance repair like change a light bulb they said is not their job!!!!! And I can mentiona lot ineffective things about this horrible place, STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would.The office staff is completely incompetent. last month, 3 days after rent was due (AND PAID), we got a notice to vacate for a “late payment” that we were never notified of prior to them knocking on my door and shoving the notice in my face. No call, no email, nothing.The online portal for payments is a NIGHTMARE. There is no summary or itemized list of charges, so for all I know they are making up “late payments”, and when I called in an attempt to get some clarity about the vacate notice and the “late payments” regarding it, they had no answers and acted like they had no idea what was going on.Read the other negative reviews of this place; they’re all accurate. The water gets shut off for ridiculous amounts of time with little to no notice. My AC broke and I submitted two maintenance requests through the online portal, and after waiting an entire day to hear anything back from them I finally called and they had no idea I had even made a service request.Every single time (no exaggeration) I go into the office to retrieve a package, they can’t find it (but only because they aren’t looking good enough and there is NO order to the mail closet). Just today, I had a package delivered to the office. I got a slip in my mailbox, and looked online to see when it was delivered, and it says 3:00. I go into the office, and my package is nowhere to be found. They say “He puts those slips in the mailbox before he brings the packages to the office. He came when we were gone to lunch, come back tomorrow”. Why does it say my package was delivered at 3, and why does the post office say that they put the slips in the mailbox AFTER the package is delivered (which MAKES SENSE), and why does the post office say the gps tracker they have on their package scanner shows the package was scanned IN THE OFFICE.The office staff is rude, impatient, and irritable. I DREAD having to call or go into the office for ANY REASON because it means bad attitudes and being patronized. The only two things they do are go to lunch and renovate their own office space. This place is run by pretentious money grubbing people and I can’t wait for our lease to be up.

Pretty okay apartment, really. Been living here for about a month and theyre really friendly. We did have some maintenance issues but they were fixed within a reasonable time. Really wish there were outlets near the fireplace to mount the television, though. Its an affordable place for college kids if you get roommates. I quite like it.

I visited my sister who lives there a Alcove. I got to meet the manager Sandra and Hugo the maintenance man. Sandra was so polite and helpful,she went out of way to help my sister and I with our car. Hugo came and fixed the water issue in my sisters apartment and he was so respectful and happy I just love that about this community. Property is always clean.Retta

I was extremely interested in leasing with this property, however when I called this afternoon the girl I spoke to was very rude. She seemed bothered by my inquiry and was really no help what so ever. If the office staff is that rude to a potential new resident I can only imagine how current tenants are treated when there is a problem or if they have questions. Such a shame. Complex is very nice but the staff needs to be taught how to be more professional. I’m sure this review means nothing, but when looking for a place to live the last thing anybody wants is an inconsiderate and rude person in charge of their home.

The leasing office staff here have been nothing but ugly to me. When the apartments were called Northwood place, they also sucked. They immediately get an attitude when you ask a question and charge you in the middle of the month for past due charges, when youve already paid everything you owed. I would not recommend signing a lease here because they will screw you over. Over and over. If I could rate no stars, I would.

Complex will not do a residence verification with, or without, a signed consent form. If you plan on doing business with Rent A Center, Aarons, or most buy here pay here car lots, I recommend going to another complex or you will not be approved. Could be a great place to live, but it will cause you to be turned down if you ever get in to a bind and need rental merchandise.

RENTER BEWARE!Ive been living in this complex for over a year, now. I feel that Ive been quite patient, given the circumstances, but everyone has their limits. Tonight, the water for the entire complex has been shut off for the second time in as many months. The reason given is a plumbing emergency. Is that what I am meant to tell my boss when Im unable to come in tomorrow for lack of a shower or even running water to brush my teeth??? One can only give the same excuse so many times, even if it is true.This is not the first, second, or even third time this specific issue has arisen since we moved in (which is to say nothing of the other, myriad problems this complex is sporting). At least when we first arrived, we could occasionally shower in cold water by morning. Now, I cant so much as wash my hands or flush after using the restroom. Weve resorted to going to local stores.Presently, it has been seven hours since we were promised that the water would be turned on, and the plumbers have left! I dont know what disreputable maintenance company management has hired, but they ought to stop cutting corners. I think its time to stop planting flowers and renovating your own office while your residents are without running water! Are we living in the dark ages? This has gotten out of hand, and I am tired of the lies.Now, I have to go to a 24 hour store to stock up on enough bottled water for basic hygiene. Will I be reimbursed for this expense? Doubtful. $1300 a month and I cant even take a proper shower! Do yourselves a favor and spend your money elsewhere!

Apt was a mess when handed keys the keys did not work on top of that some one was living in the apt with out there knowing the dead bolt was locked menace had to go around back and threw back door to get in no competition was made asked to move to different address said that there was none my husband was starting school so we had to move in for schooling then took 5 days to come and fick the a/c unit then sent us a email saying water would be shut off for an hur its now ben almost 7 hurs

The first phone call to this company was horrible. The lady who answered was not helpful at all. I made it clear the reason for my call was to find out leasing for a large 2 bedroom 2bath rental. The lady asked me for what month I said Mid July or August. She them asked how many occupants I answered 3. She asked do I have a pet? I said yes.... mind you she hasnt answered my pricing question yet. Then she asked me do I have a budget on what I would like to spend. I said of course. She said what is it ? I then again asked how much is the Rental... She said how much do you want to spend because Im trying to see which one might suit you. Umm if Im correct Im the one to decide which suits us not you!!... 1000 questions later I still dont have pricing and availability. Ill listen more to the reviews from past tenants and keep it moving.

There were some issues with the company that owned our complex before. But ever since Greystar came in it has been 100x better. Cassandra and Stephanie have been so helpful and listen to everything weve had to say. They really care about their tenants and about cleaning up this community. They are really trying to clean up the mess that the previous owners left.

Dont move here! The pool is closed Memorial weekend. Kind of sums up my experience here. Cannot wait till another winter comes when we never have water. Nothing like no water for 3 days that can make you feel at home. You can just come home or wake up to no water with no notice. So please do yourself a favor and keep plenty on hand in the winter. 1. Ugly color scheme. Looks like baby diarrhea. Consult with your residence next time you decide to paint the building with poo.2. Storm Drainage Fee. What is that even?? The back stays flooded when it rains. What am I paying for exactly?3. $40 mandatory cable fee.. complex was grandfathered into contract until 2023 so have to pay. Ok. Thanks.4. They are trying to extort money from me! They are threatening to damage my credit rating unless I give them $600 which I do not owe. They claim that $500 of this is for a broken lease fee, WHICH I ALREADY PAID. They know this, as I told them on the phone, and even sent them a photocopy of the check for the exact amount (which I got from my banks website). It all started when I refused to pay for cleaning costs after moving out (which I am not liable for under Texas stat law). Not only did they sic a bill collector on me for that $100, but made up this additional amount in order to increase the threat to my credit rating! I always paid my rent on time and never had any dispute with them until this.I knew something was wrong when I first reserved my apartment, as they bait-and-switched me, saying that the $495 unit was no longer available, and that I had to pay $510 for a unit of the same exact floor plan. There is also a mandatory $40 per month charge for cable TV, meaning that you are stuck with Time Warning and their inferior product (compared to Dish Network, for example). Also, they raised the rent 8% every single time I renewed my lease (every 13 months). In the three and a half years I was there, I had at least 8 different neighbors in the two adjacent units, meaning that people were constantly moving in and out. Happy renters dont move out this often. I could hear my upstairs neighbors footfall on a daily basis, no matter who was living there.Once my apartment and my neighbors were broken into and burglarized (at the same time). On two other occasions people were robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot (according to notices that NP distributed, telling us to be careful).They have excellent maintenance. However, I had to use them over a dozen times in three and a half years, as things kept breaking down, both the heater and A/C, leaky pipes, circuit breaker, broken front door from burglary, etc.

Maintenance do NOT do there job my air conditioning wasn’t working, meanwhile the temperature outside was at least 83’ degrees. While staying here we had to deal with rats, silverfish, spiders, etc. Would you believe that staff did not consider a rat being a maintenance emergency over a weekend? We couldnt get anybody to come out and seal up the opening where it came in! Also there were frequent water shutoffs. The condo was old with not enough lighting in the living room or 2nd bedroom. The maintenance is questionable as well. Be careful of the dog owners as some seem to have trouble picking up after them. Pikes of dog droppings may be in your front yard to greet you in the morning. If people have bad ratings for this place then take it as the truth. Last year, a manager tried to ghost write a positive review to make their rating better. Look at recent positive reviews. Its all in response to anybody writing a negative review. Do not trust a positive review from this place at all. Can you believe the only thanks we received was on a final bill. When we moved out that staff was so concerned about eating lunch that no one had the courtesy to say thank you. No you will not have the oppurtunity to turn our experience around because you all are incapable!!!

I believe this may be the worst apartment complex anywhere. They are not well kept. No upgrades are done to improve the property. There is trash through-out the grounds. They have continual issues with bugs. You can smell other tenants cigarette smoking through the walls. You hear your neighbors conversations, TV, music, children screaming and etc. The dumpsters stay full and they allow tenants to simply place trash next to the dumpster. The staff changes every other day. This is a poorly run property from beginning to end. In this area, you have too many choices to live in this public squalor.

So, this office is extremely disorganized. I’ve had to call the leasing office 6 times to fix my hot water. I’ve had my door ledge break among other small issues that it takes them more then one work order to correct. They lost my rent check, put a notice on my door, I lost money canceling the check and writing them a new one. After that they CAME UP TO MY JOB with a notice to vacate from 2 weeks ago, embarrassing me in front of my coworkers after i’d gone through the trouble to pay them.They are rude, unprofessional and if you have to leave the office a voicemail believe they don’t listen to it or call you back.WORST COMPLEX save your money

I dont know where to begin.I choice Alcove because of the location and that their townhomes were in my price range. At the time I was 8 months pregnant and I was looking for a nice townhome for my family I was starting. Ive moved into Alcove Feb 2018 and I have had so many problems. Alcove doesnt deserve one star.Ive had 22 maintenance request from Feb-April. Before I moved into any apartment I have to thoroughly clean. And since I had a baby on the way I was never OCD about cleanliness. As I was cleaning I saw dead roaches all throughout the apartment up and down stairs. I immediately told the office and they but me down for pest control.Im trying to not make this review so long so I list some of my problems I had in my first 3 months. This list is not in any order.1. 1st upstairs toilet leaked when flushed.2.The sink in 1st bathroom had no pressure for the hot water.3.Heat does not work on 1st floor. I was told there is nothing they can do because these apartments are hard to heat on the first floor.Texas is mostly warm year round but their are some months were it is very cold.4. 2nd bedroom bathroom sink was clogged.5. There was a leak underneath sink in both bathrooms upstairs. It took them over 2 weeks to repair.6. The faucet in 1st upstairs bathroom stopped working. One day I turned it one and could not turn off. I had to turn off by using lever underneath sink. It took them 2 weeks to come and repair.7. The hot water in shower of 1st bathroom stopped working.8. The right large burner on stove does not get hot.9. The weather stripping on front door needs replacing. I took them 3 months to replace. Keep telling it was on back order.10. All the burners on stove stopped working on 4/27/18 the day after maintenance came to fix the one burner that did not work11. Refrigerator door wouldnt stay close. They had to replace refrigerator.Now lets get to the major problem. Towards the end of April I stared to hear nosies inside walls, ceilings, and underneath steps. My husband kept saying it was squirrels but I knew it was not from outside. The noise was so loud I new something was inside the walls. After day 3 of hearing the noise I told office. The manager told me it was rats and they had this problem at another townhome. So now Im freaking out. At this point my son was born. Manager told me she would have pest control come out the same day. Pest control didnt cone until 2 days later and all the guy did was toss some bait in attic and I was told this will kill them and when they die it shouldnt be a odor. At this point I am so frustrated I go into office and speak to property manager. I asked her to put herself in my shoes. I have a newborn baby and it is problem after problem with this apartment. I told her this apartment is not liveable or safe for my child. I requested to be released from my lease. She stated she could not do that be she could move me into a new apartment but they did not have any townhome available. After living at Alcove for 3 months I was transferred to a smaller but surprisingly better apartment. Ive been at the new apartment for a month and so far so good. Im still upset with my experience and no one in the office besides the property manager that no longer works there was apologetic.Alcove Apartments and Greystar properties deserves zero stars.I apologize for any spelling or grammar errors. Typing this made me upset all over again.

This is the worst living experience Ive ever had! Save your money, save your sanity! Rent somewhere else. You can literally hear everything through the paper thin walls. We can hear our neighbors talking, watching tv, going to the bathroom, walking, yelling, sneezing, etc. Every night we have to turn our bathroom fan on so we can drown out the noise of our next door neighbor snoring. They have pipe issues and when we first moved in, we would hear pipes knocking in the walls any time our neighbors used their water. The bug problem is ridiculous. Cockroaches, spiders, centipedes, beetles, mosquitos, etc. They charge you $5 a month though for pest control. We have an especially annoying situation since our upstairs neighbors are crazy and they allow their kids to run around, be loud, stomp, scream and dont care that theyre being loud. The dad tried to kick my tiny dog on a leash and we got into an argument. When I emailed the office about it, they didnt even have the decency to email me back. We have five more months left in our sentence here and I am counting down the days until we can leave. Way over priced. Old appliances, tiny bathrooms, small living room..the only nice thing is the large bedrooms and closets. I am currently listening to some sort of demolition project going on upstairs which I was not informed would be going on. If you enjoy constant noise, this is the place for you. Personally, I want to claw my eyes out every day I have to be here.

EDIT: I had hoped when Greystar sold the property and CAF Management took over things would improve. They did for a short time, now they are just as bad and the water situation is worse than it has ever been. Multiple water outages since December, there has been a major leak on the property for two months now...a major leak that has greatly increased our water a sewage bills. $58 for a single month sewage charge? Yep, thats what we got for June. I have notified the office numerous times, no one from CAF Management bothers to call back either. Now the hot water is out again and has been for about 24 hours. If the hot water goes out on a weekend (which this is) or after hours, they simply dont bother fixing it until normal business hours. The ladies in the office are always nice but nothing ever gets done. This could be a pretty good complex if a management company that actually cares about the residents would take over. The location is excellent, terrific freeway access, River Legacy Park is nearby. Very quiet here too. But the continuous water issues and zero care attitude by the staff and management company, this place currently is a huge joke. Youd be insane to consider living here under the current conditions and we wont past our current lease. They also use Covid 19 as a convenient excuse to not repair anything. The valet trash service which was supposed to be an amenity is now $20 a month. Expect to pay about $150-200 a month extra beyond your base rent charge.Also, they added covered parking and they want $30 a month. Instead of asking if there was enough interest at that price, they went ahead and built covered parking structures. Currently 5-6 people are using them, which means they have effectively taken away about 60 parking spots from residents. And with a lot of students living here 3-4 to a unit and seemingly everyone with their own car, that leaves free parking at a premium around some buildings. Thats obviously not the fault of onsite management but poor decision making by the management company.The only reason they get two stars is its a convenient location, the ladies in the office have been nice and maintenance overall is pretty good.However, the constant water problems, especially in the winter and no hot water for 4 days during the cold snap in April is unacceptable. No offer by management to maybe use a vacant unit that had hot water to shower or offer to pay for a hotel until it was fixed. Why the let the plumbers drag their feet fixing it, even after one of them set a unit on fire is beyond me.The website and online payment system is straight out of the 90s. So I continue to pay by check because I dont trust it. When MMA owned the complex it was very simple and quick. No idea why Greystar insists on using a clunky, outdated website.Ive been trying to get my tub refinished or replaced since March. Last I heard is they were taking bids on a refinishing company. Great lowest bidder and likely a cheap job.Its Memorial Day weekend, pool is closed despite nearly 100° temperatures. The gym that was closed in March for remodeling (it is nicer) still has no after office hours access despite them having two months to get it operational.Now they are repainting the buildings. It was done just a few years ago, I think most of us residents would prefer the interior of our apartment updated instead. And the painters sprayed water all over cars while pressure washing the buildings, water spots, especially in this heat can leave mineral deposits that require polishing to remove. And even being told yes wed have adequate warning before they painted out building so I could move our cars to the other side of the complex, zero warning. I come home to a filthy car cover on my other car which was what I was trying to avoid.And it doesnt matter how nice the exterior may look if they cant fix the water issues, update the website, dont refinish the insides, etc. Theyre just putting lipstick on a pig at this point.

Horrible place. Dog waste containers overflow and remain unattended; they force you into bad cable deals with the cable company of their choosing (that are mandatory)... the list goes on...To give you an idea: While sitting on my porch early on a Sunday morning, my wife and I were approached by a young woman who asked us to use a phone so she could call the police because she was being physically abused by the man she was living with.Section 8 without all the paperwork.

Do not ever sign a lease here!!!! We first move in to an unit that smelled like dog feces, and we automatically regretted our decision to live here. Long story short since we have been living here we had our water shut off 5 or so days combined and HOT water for more then two weeks. This is by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in, and since this new company came in our rent has increased more and more each month. YET we live without a basic necessities like water!!!! You can honestly find somewhere better than this place. Run just run I will never resign here, I wish I could give them zero stars! The only thing this place is missing is the roaches!!

You get what you pay for definitely applies to most things in life, and renting an apartment is not the exception to this rule. Alcove apts are kind of cheap, but they are also REALLY OLD, although to be fair, some of the units are being remodeled right now. Nevertheless, despite whatever amount of money you pay for your apt or condo, you will find almost certainly : 1) 50+ year old appliances, 2) dog waste everywhere and of all sizes, 3) people smoking weed out on their balconies and patios, or simply outside in the parking lot, and 4) every now and then grown up teenagers playing sports right in the middle of the street, loud as hell, and by everyones cars. The positive, these apts are close to pretty much everything you might want or need, they have a decent pool, and they are cheap compared to others apps in the area, that is it in my opinion. When I write reviews online I do not do it with the purpose of making a business look bad, or to gain some favor from them. I do it because I know how much it helps to know the good/bad beforehand of whatever business we might decide to use wether its to fix our car, go somewhere to eat, rent, etc. Hope this review helps you in making the right decision.

We have lived here 2.5 years. 2 years were good. Liked the office staff and maitnence team. Now with Graystar running the show its a joke. When they first took over thay had technology issues for online bill pay and such. Seemed like it took way to long to fix. Now, we are having water issues every 2-3 days because of emergencies. It seems that office staff is responsive to the extent of saying Sorry, come talk to us so we can fix the problem. However, they dont seem to be fixing it, or are not being transparent about it.

Havent reviewed this place though Ive been here since 2015...where to begin...AC..it took 2 years to have mine replaced. You WILL sweat untill (if) they replace it..you WILL receive every excuse not to.. and afterwards to keep up with the demand it will not shut off.(read $300.00+ power bill). Also know that there is no seperation from your neighbors ac ventilation and yours (read they smoke weed, you smell weed, they smoke in their apt. you smell smoke, they stink, cook, burp it goes into your apt..) Almost 40yrs old property whose infrastructure is falling apart..power outages...water interuptions...(how could you possibly not have hot water and then not have cold water)..horrible insulation...thin walls...aged interior falling apart.. creaky floors, ...4.99 a month goes to pest control....joke is you never see them...40.00 go to time warner/spectrum weather you want them or not..this means that you dont qualify for any specials and due to the propertys age the service is glitchy with constant outages...they choose what they want or can fix....asked to replace my..already replaced.. wrong-sized screen...theyre not replacing those anymore...The office personnel...obviously hate their job...though so many changes have been made to keep them from residents...you still ocassionally have to communicate with them...glitchy payment system...service not done, or wont be, packages, air filter. Both Manager and Assistant Manager look at you as if youve interupted their lives. Its a dead look like the one you get from a DMV worker or someone from the other side of the battle field. And dont make the mistake thinking they will help, they will not. There is a certain appreciation one has for consistency... like any Mcdonalds, the effort searching for excuses will inevitably exhaust them leaving you where you began before you approached them. Though i have recommended family members, before the new owners, I cannot, with good conscience, do so again. Maybe its a Greystar Property thing....like a bad Mcdonalds.Their attitude allows them to flush out the old tennants and replace them with drug dealers and drug smokers...I guess their theory is...if youre high...it dont matter.Well..it does.

Ive lived here almost a year. Havent really had any problems and wanted to renew but move to a smaller apt. Went and spoke with one lady who showed me the lay outs told me which would be available and also wrote down the prices (including) fees. A few days later i went back and spoke with Stephanie. She said we needed to do a walk thru to approve a transfer. Long story short she said they were going to renevate the apt and the price would go up from a quoted WRITTEN price of $935 to a verbal price of $1035 due to renovations. We spoke some more and she was supposed to call me. After calling numerous times and going to the office still not getting anyone. I finally got her on the phone 2 weeks later just for her to say..no the price will now be $1135. Ummm you shoulf honor the first written price i was given instead of giving the run around. They are very unprofessional and dont care about renters. Also they charge you water, trash, pest and cable. Which is all good. Then you get your bill and see the hidden fees or sewage waste fee, gas fee and drainage fee. This place is a rip off. My base rent is $1047 and all their fees and we pay close to $1200 every month. Looks pretty but they are crooks

Ive never given a negative review to any business, but these apartments are the worst. If i had to say something positive it would be that I havent seen cockroaches yet. Theyve cut the water off with only hours notice several times. ( pretty sure thats against the law) I cant even count the times ive came home from work and didnt have hot water. Simlpy put dont walk away...RUN

Decent apartment complex. Perfect for students, wall are very thin we could hear neighbors very clearly talking/arguing most of the time although they were usually asleep around a decent hour so it didnt bother me. for the price we paid to live there in a generallyi quiet apartment complex in a great location between Dallas and Fort Worth that happened to be across the street from river legacy park was just a great trade off. I never personally saw any bugs and I hate bugs so I guess we had just lucked out on that. Matinance was just okay, we never really needed them to fix anything but when they did it was subpar. And management was alright most are nice and willing to work with you.

Me and my roommate have been living here for about 3 months. And we have had constant issues from the beginning. We were not shown the apartment before signing the lease. So we didnt get to see it until we had signed and gotten the keys. Walking in, there was a horrible pet urine smell. The apartment was very dirty and very old. The floors creak ALL the time. There is a hole about 2inches wide that goes all around the pantry doorframe. There are drawers in the kitchen that dont belong in the spaces theyre filing, so some fall out if you dont balance them the right way in the space. My roommates toilet doesnt flush and half the time someone elses mess comes up, meaning that there is a problem with the plumbing. The carpet looks new, but it is penetrated by the smell of what I can safely assume is cat urine. When the apartment gets too hot, the smell is very strong all over the apartment. The A/C doesnt cool as well as we would like, so in the summer the apartment gets too hot and stinks.We werent able to move in until a week later and even then they hadnt fixed the biggest issues, those being that the toilet didnt work and the pet urine smell was still very present. Its been over 2 months and they still havent fixed anything. To make things more difficult, we signed the lease with the Northwood Apartments, but they were bought by a different company and they are now called Alcove and the management was changed as well as the prices. So now our rent is being changed against the contract agreement and we are being asked to pay $40 more than the price we agreed. And theyre saying that those are charges that we are supposed to pay after a certain time. Which makes no sense and wasnt explained to us before singing the lease, it is also NOT written in the lease we signed. But coincidentally, the new price we have to pay with the added charges happens to be the new rent price they have listed.The office people are very nice, but there seems to be some miscommunication between them and their handymen because they thought all our repairs had already been done when they werent.I agree with what a lot of people have mentioned about the walls being VERY thin. We live in an upstairs apartment, but we can hear our downstairs neighbors walking, talking, closing doors, etc. And the same goes with our neighbors next door and behind us. you can also hear the water pipes through the walls. So if someone in an adjacent apartment is taking a shower, you can hear the water running. And you can definitely smell the smoke coming from a different apartment.You could hardly call this apartment livable. My roommate has asthma and severe pet allergies so the pet smell and the smoke has had a toll on her health. Its not the nicest place, its not worth the money and definitely not worth those extra $40 they want to start charging us.Hopefully this new management will improve with time, because they have had a rocky start so far.

The good:-The price for the sqft youre paying is a really good price.Its a good quiet neighborhood. I like the fact they only close the gates at night time. The staff are nice and any repair request is done in about a week or less.The bad:-The buildings are old so if you live upstairs, the floors squeak A LOT!!!!! getting constant temperature is really hard when taking a shower. it gets hot and cold and it can be annoying.-Youre forced to pay for cable $40 and you cant bundle it with your internet. If you have uverse, forget about getting internet here. The building is so old, the phone lines running through the building needs replacement otherwise your internet connection drops every 5 minute. But if you get a faster internet through TWC you should be good. I have 200mbps and havent had a problem with them at all even though i dont like them.-depending on your cell carrier, the signal here sucks a lot. maybe one bar and 3-4 if youre lucky. (tmobile). but if you have att you should be good.
