It was an amazing haircut from Ashley Fisher. Thank you so much for the lovely haircut. My hair is curly and i had many bad haircuts so most of the times it was a big disappointment. This is my first experience in supercuts Ames. Ashley did an awesome job she cut my hair exactly the way I wanted. She really knows about curly hair. I saw some pictures to her and she understood well what I really wanted for my haircut which most stylists couldn’t. I was really happy when I leave after long time! Thank you very much Ashley for that you did awesome job. Now I know my stylist for next haircut!

Ok so I get it.. they canceled our appointment we where 12 minutes late.... but really.. traffic was bad and it was a kids appointment. If we would have got our hair cut we would have been repeat customers. Not now. Apparently we would rather make stupid 10 min rules than have paying repeat customers. Your loss. Dont worry sports clips got our back.

The girls who have done my hair at Supercuts have been fantastic both times I have been here! I was able to show them pictures of what I wanted to do with my hair and they came up a game plan to get me what I wanted. They were very personable and easy to talk to. Time just flew!

We went in to get our 3-year-old and one and a half year olds haircut and these girls were so awesome with the kids! Im sure you could guess that the littles are hard to keep still but the girls just rolled with it and their haircuts turned out awesome, we will be back!

I called yesterday to make an appointment for a highlight. I was surprised they said they could fit me in the next day! Wahoo! But when I went in for my appointment today, turned out they wrote it down in their notebook for a different day. Even though they mixed up the date, they found a way to make it right and fit me in today. Not at the same original time, but a couple hours later. Mix ups aren’t fun for anyone, but it happens. I’m glad they were able to work it out for me.

Had a really great haircut! The stylist listened to what I needed, considered how my hair is unique and cut it well. A good haircut looks good for days and mine looks good over a week later.

Too busy Saturday and closed on Sunday so went to great clips

Michelle had a frozen shoulder and eye surgerys and was unable to wash her hair or get water in her eyes.Kennedy was AMAZING she got Michelle to relax during the tea tree scalp massage and then went on to cut and style her hair very funky.

Despite being a mainstream chain, Ive had nothing but good experiences at this location. My haircut requirements are very basic: a simple side part with a high fade. Theyre consistent, professional, and friendly.

Quality skills but the service could improve. It took the better part of an hour for a trim and that was just in the chair. They did a great job but she stopped every few minutes run errands for coworkers or chat with others. This after I had said I was in a hurry to beat the weather. Leisurely service will not get me to return.

I have four kids and cant afford salon priced haircuts for my kids however I also was sick of walking out of places thinking, oh well its just hair. It will grow. We were able to get in fairly quickly and were happy with the results. We will definitely go back.

Ive been here many times. The haircuts are decent but they lack professionalism. I had to wait almost an hour a few times even after calling ahead and setting up an appointment. They regularly squeeze other people whove just arrived in between while youre waiting there. Recently I set up an appointment online which Ive done many times before, and somehow Im not on the system and there werent any other spots available. Wouldnt recommend.

I’ve been going to Supercuts for a couple years now for my haircuts and I have NEVER left disappointed. I usually bring in a picture of what I’m looking to emulate and then they make it happen. They even save the notes so that the next time I go in, it’s an even quicker process. I’ve had two different ladies from supercuts go to work on my hair since I started going (I’m pretty picky about who I let near it) and the first one was Elizabeth. She does great work and I was always very pleased leaving the store. But one day I happened to get Alyssa and since then I’ve never gone back to anyone else. Her work is as close to perfection as you can get. Every single time. Her conversation skills are fantastic, and she provides input about what she thinks would look nice too.BOTTOM LINE: I highly recommend the Supercuts on duff in Ames and I suggest that when you call ahead to make your appointment you ask for a slot with Alyssa. I had been hopping between barbershops and salons for months until I tried out Supercuts. The staff is extremely friendly, caring, and accommodating. I have been going to Rylie for the better part of a year now, and she always welcomes me, gives me an excellent cut no matter how hard my hair is to work with, and advises the best products specialized to my hair type. I have no intention of switching stylists or locations for the rest of college, and I highly recommend Supercuts.

Anna has Done my boys’ cuts for the last two years. I have 3 boys ranging from 12 - 5 and she helped our youngest get over his fears of cuts 2 years ago. Super calming and the kids are comfortable and trusting of her! My kids refuse to let anyone else do their cuts.

I have a preteen boy who is super picky with his hair. Anna gets it done right each time and makes sure he is happy with the cut. She’s super friendly and makes great conversation with him during the cut too. Won’t go anywhere else!

Ive been to this place many times and its been hit and miss. This last haircut however was possibly the worst Ive ever had. Id definitely appreciate a refund and hope they start vetting their staff a little better. (Last visit was all new faces so Im not sure what happened, maybe new owners)

Went to get a haircut at 9:30 AM January 2nd and the sign says open 9 AM to 8 PM but door was locked and nobody was there. A bit upsetting, will have to go somewhere else. Would have really liked to try this one.

Great place for kids cuts. I took my little one to get his haircut here. He doesnt always enjoy this but they were very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend Alyssa if you have a little one. She was patient and very talkative with my little one. We walked out with a great cut and a very positive experience.

I’ve been going here since I moved to ISU 2 years ago and never once had a bad experience. It is a great place to get your haircut and eyebrows done! They remember what you like and what they did last time so you don’t have to remember, which is very helpful. My main stylist is Jeanie, she is brilliant every single time, but you can’t go wrong with any of the team members there!

I went and saw Laura Delp today and she gave me a really good fade. I’m always impressed with how friendly and down to earth everyone is there. My favorite part is how good the products smell. I leave the salon always smelling fresh, and feeling good!

I recently had a haircut..I didnt realize my sideburns were messed up until I came home and looked at em...I had to fix it on my own with my beard trimmer...that trimmer did a better job than the hair stylist at this Supercuts store...Ive been there a few times and thought its a good place for haircuts but last time was very disappointing...Im not goin back there again

Wow! What an outstanding place to get your hair cut! I have stopped going anywhere else and will drive out of my way to get my hair cut at this location. Very clean, inviting, and professional environment. Prices are reasonable and Im always able to get in quickly. Onto the stylist!? Ashley is the only stylist I will let touch my hair these days, remembers my name and haircut and the best part is that they are consistent! My haircut is exactly the way I like it every time! I will be the first to tell you I am extremely picky when it comes to my fade, and the overall look of my hair cut, no longer do I worry! Sit down, and she takes care of the rest!!!! Trust me! Give her a try you wont regret it!

For my constant thinning hair, Rylie has ALWAYS taken care of me! As well as me being in the Marine Corps, she knows how to do an excellent fade with the ability to electric shave the hair on the sides down to the skin. I always come out of SuperCuts looking more professional than when I went in!

Pretty disappointed that today is the second time in a row that I have checked in online only to find out that the check in time online was almost a half-hour different than the actual wait time. I get that its only an estimate but what is the point of checking in online if you will have to wait twice as long when you get there.

By far the best place Ive found to get a haircut in Ames. Price is right (they do Mil and Student discounts) and they carry a great range of care products to boot! Staff is wonderful, Ashley and Alyssa do an amazing job not just cutting my hair, but my kids as well. The other times I havent been able to get my hair done by those 2 Ive still gotten great cuts due to the great notes they keep on their clients making it easy for another stylist to repeat the same level of cut I expect. I would highly recommend using their app as you can get an idea of the current wait and make your appointment with your preferred stylist. The times the app lists isnt a guarantee but Ive never had a wait longer than 15 mins past the proposed time and even then its worth it!
