If I could give this place no stars I would. My experience here was terrible, it’s been over a year and I still cringe when I think about it so I feel compelled to leave my experience. It was two weeks before my wedding when I came in to do a makeup and hair trial and OMG I was so disappointed. My stylist honestly didn’t try to capture any of the ideas I was going for for my hair or makeup. She slapped makeup on my face with no effort, it didn’t match my skin tone, the colors she picked were wrong wrong wrong! And don’t get me started with my hair! I asked for an updo and she basically put my hair in a sloppy bun and called it good. I was pretty upset and still had to pay for this terrible service. I don’t know if it was just an off day for my stylist but my experience here was not good and for that reason, I will never return.

I was very disappointed in my last visit. I was working twords a specific color. Not only did my stylist NOT pay attention to what I wanted she didnt care to fix it. I spent over $600.00 in three visits to achieve the goal, And now I have nothing better than what I had on my first visit. Im so angry....🤬🤬. Never again will I go to this salon.

I would definitely recommend Hope!She was so awesome and knew exactly how to do my hair. I wasn’t happy with the way someone else did my hair and she fixed it for me. Her coloring is great, can’t wait to have her cut it next time I go in.

My first experience with Jessica coloring my hair was great so I returned to have my roots done. They were grown out pretty far and since she didnt cover all the way out she basically left a gray crown around my head looking horrible. She agreed to fix it but did the same thing again only coloring along the scalp leaving the same gray crown. After wasting 4 hours now, I reached out to Helena to fix it who agreed to but said she had very little availability... so when I cancelled once due to excessive patient overload (sorry its COVID season) she got upset and told me her time was too valuable and she would give me a refund instead and mailed me 2 $20 bills when I paid $60.... and my hair still looks ridiculous! Sorry, not impressed with these people, very unprofessional and incompetent staff. They think only their time is valuable and no one elses.

First time here and It was better than my other Salon Visits, Helena is a Ray of Sunshine. She greeted me and we talked about what we should do for my hair color. I cant wait for Color visit next week. Helena you got you got self another customer.I just hope she doesnt make me clean up own hair like my last hair dresser. I have had 6 colors in the past. I hope this is final Salon Change.

Normally I love Salon Helena, but my last visit I was a little disappointed. I went in hoping to get some highlights toned and color applied. I was charged $200 for this service but then found out the color applied was only a toner. I was then told it would last 6-8 weeks, but it washed out by the end of that same week. When bringing up these concerns with my stylist, I was told I could pay to have it done again.

Very pleased I found this hair salon. It is as lovely and relaxing as can be, and the most professional salon I have been to. My hair cut was perfect. This was my first visit, and I will not hesitate to return. I highly recommend it. Thank you for the great cut and experience. It was worth my hour drive to town.

All in all i think the experience here was not bad. i got highlights, a hair cut, a lash lift and tint. as far as the lash lift i didnt really see any difference at all maybe a little more fanned eyelash but not lifted or curled. the tint does show. it was my first time for a lash lift so i dont have much to compare to. the girl who did them was very nice and pleasant. the spa area seems nice.my highlights came out well. i wish they had been a little more balanced through my whole head. my hair also parts in the middle and my highlights are more if my hair is parted to the right side. but all in all they look good. i had a hair trim. i didnt want much cut. and it was a 60 dollar hair cut. so i think that was a bit pricey. highlights were 120 and lift was 60.all in all it was an okay experience not bad.

I WAS MORE THAN HAPPY WITH MY EXPERIENCE!!!! Helena is the best! I went to her with what was supposed to be just a trim from another salon.... I looked full on ridiculous! I wouldnt even leave my house. After seeing Helena, I was extremely happy to see what an amazing job she had done. She showed my how to style it different ways, as I have always had long hair, I didnt have a clue as to how to style it. My best friend of 30 years went with me to see Helena. After seeing how Helena fixed and styled my hair, she scheduled an appointment with Helena. Not only did she make an appointment, so did her mom and so did a mutual friend of ours. All 4 of us love Helena!!! I have and will continue to recommend Helena and her salon to everyone!

Today was the first time going to Salon Helena and Shawna Powell was my hairstylist. My experience was awesome!!! Shawna is very nice and new what she was doing. I got a haircut with highlights and I love what my hair looks like. I lived in NM for 10 years and I have never got such great results. The salon was clean and I felt very comfortable. I will definitely keep going to Salon Helena 😊 Thank you Shawna for making me feel like a new person.

Salon Helena did the hair and make-up for my daughters wedding: Bride, Bridesmaids and Moms. It was a fabulous experience for all of us. Helena, LaCrisha and Daniela are a wonderful team. So talented and they made it look effortless. They have the wedding thing down to a science. The girls had fun and looked stunning!

I’ve been looking for a hair stylist for 6 years and hope is the only one that has actually listened to me when I ask her to cut just an inch. She is extremely friendly and always makes me feel comfortable when I come in. I highly recommend her!!

Love my hair style

When you get to the salon you wait in their adorable cafe area that has a full bar of different smoothies and drinks. I got my cut done by Angela and she did an amazing job, she explained what she was doing and why it would work for my hair to make it look like the pictures I had shown her. Before this experience I have never had a truly outstanding cut and today my hair looks exactly like the photos I brought in. I made my next appointment and I cant wait to go back. The prices are wonderful and the atmosphere and friendly front staff is a great benefit. I will most definitely be a long term customer here.

I do not recommend the new girl that they hired. She seemed very rushed and made my hair look nothing like the picture I showed her! I paid $160 for service that was rushed and not what I asked for at all.

My wife loves this salon! She and her close girlfriends have been going to this salon for a couple years now and they all are loyal because they each love it so much! My wife has had different stylist do her hair, had them to her hair for our wedding, and they did her makeup as well. No matter who she gets or what service she is seeing them for, she always loves it. She read the reviews and was shocked at some of the poor responses she read. She totally disagrees with just about anything negative regarding this salon. She loves the atmosphere, loves the service, and loves the feeling when she leaves. She hates spending money on her hair before going to Helena, and would get cheap cuts at places like SuperCuts. Now, she feels like she is betraying the salon by going anywhere else, even though we currently live out of state. You wont find a place like this one.

Small girl who is great with her hands and a joy to be around! Passionate about what she does and isnt there to just go through the motions. The salon is very nice as well, all of the staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Came for a lash lift and dont think it my lashes look any different than when I went in. The girl made sure I was comfortable and didnt burn me but I think she is not experienced with lash lifts.At the end she said she was putting water on my lashes. Im pretty sure when you perm youre not supposed to use any water as it can take out the perm. My lashes had no curl afterwards.For $50-60 for the service it was a waste. I also asked the girl afterwards if I need to avoid touching my eyes or getting water on them. She said no that I can put mascara on right away and proceed as normal. From my last flashlift experience this was not the case I was told to avoid touching my lashes for 24hrs to prevent from ruining the curls.

I made an appt here after I got turned away from Pardos for being 10 mins late. Thank God I did. Helena did my hair & she is the last of a dying breed. A gorgeous, hot woman on the outside whose heart of gold shines just as bright from within. Her intelligence was obvious when she put my esteemed dermatologist to shame by offering many more suggestions & solutions to my hair concerns. She genuinely cared & wasnt there just to take my money. This is an inspiring, successful woman that our children should be looking up to! Thanks Helena 💜💚🧡 I ended up with the Moroccanoil shampoo, conditioner, mending infusion repair & restorative hair mask. LOVE LOVE LOVE it all. Atmosphere was perfect, relaxing, professional, shampooing expert was fabulous, very gifted. I cant say enough!

I would never recommend this place for eyelash extensions. Its over priced for the kind of job they do. The lady Daniella made my eye lashes look clumpy and looked horrible. They werent even and some lashes were dangling. She also got my eyes stuck together and there were some hairs poking my eye. Never will return for eyelash extensions again!

Helena is amazing, hands down, the best in ABQ. Dont waste your time going anywhere else!

I went to salon Helena early in December for an acrylic french manicure with designs. Because it was a fill, I was quoted $35 over the phone with additional fees for repainting (an ombre paint job.) The woman who did my nails said she could do it with confidence. It looked nothing like what I asked for and when I started inquiring about it, she then revealed shed never done it with the gel polish before and the failure took 2 hours. Im understanding about people who dont yet have a talent in certain areas which is why I had a back-up idea that was simpler and should have been pursued instead. Had she been honest, Id have left happy with my back-up. Though I was clearly not happy, I was taken to the front desk where she wrote up my ticket for $48. I shamelessly did not leave a tip. Id also like to clarify that though I dont know her name, it was NOT Katie (who is very good at what she does.)

I have been going to this salon for four years but I only get tinting treatments. They are very expensive but for the most part do a good job. They have a rewards system that exists but doesnt, I wish they were a little more organized with their promotions.

I dont get my hair done as often as I should and really dont give it the attention it needs. I like the products they use in my hair it really leaves my hair feeling soft. Do a good job with my hair, my hair style is really simple but they always do a good job.

Great salon, friendly on time and always attentive to my requests. Ive been seeing Kevin for 15 years and plan on staying.

I usally never go to a place like this only because Im always in a hurry and only go for a trim first time here and it was 👍 nice quite place.

I went in for a root retouch, and the stylist thought I was there for extensions. She was rough and yanked my head around. I let her trim my hair. She cut one side 3 inches shorter than the other. This is the worst salon.
