I had a great experience with Final Stitch. I had a dress altered for my daughters wedding. It was a couple of sizes too big as well as hemming on two layers of the dress. The dress fit perfectly when I tried it on! They did an amazing job and the work really exceeded my expectations! Their expertise, professionalism and quality work was the best! I have already recommended them to many friends and family. If I need anything altered in the future, I will definitely go back!

A review for this business has been long coming. Amazing work and very professional. Completely blown away by their level of craftsmanship every time I have a pair of jeans repaired. The pic included shows their pocket work on a pair of older Diesel Jeans. There was a hole running from the top to the bottom of the pocket. The other pocket had a smaller hole as well. Cost was a little of $20 and I couldnt be happier with the work. Thank you!

I trusted Final Stitch with the task of making some drastic changes to a prom dress I ordered online and hoped to have transformed into my dream wedding dress. I came in very last minute, only weeks before my wedding. Masood’s professionalism and experience left me feeling confident that my dress would turn out great. Let me tell you, when I came to pick up my dress just 2 days before my wedding…WOW! When he carried my dress out, I was in aww, it came out more amazing than I could have ever hoped for. He was able to completely transform and re shape the back of the dress, shape a train, and reposition the straps without disrupting any of the fine sequence. I own an entire closet full of suits, and Ive only ever taken two of them to tailors somewhere else. Both times, the results were far worse than what Masood does for me - lesson learned, this is the best tailor in Albuquerque and I wont go anywhere else.

I ordered a dress online for a wedding and when it arrived I was so excited to try it on, only to find it was a little loose in the waist and just a tad too long. Final Stitch had top ratings on google so I followed my instincts. Luckily those instincts paid off. I’ve never had anything tailored before and after having my dress taken in by Masood I now know why people spend money on doing this. It fits me perfectly. Not only is he pleasant to work with, he placed a rush on my order so I could have it ready in time for the wedding. It was so worth it and I am very happy with the results!

Got a leather jacket altered at Final Stitch. Since I was just passing through, they were accommodating and able to ship it to me. Looks great. Its hard to find someone to tailor leather, so Id recommend them for that.

When I brought in my wedding dress to Masood for alterations I was blown away by his skill, timeliness, and ability to envision what I was asking for. He did EXACTLY what I wanted and my dress was beautifully altered. My dress has two pieces and he was able to shorten the dress and additional skirt, pull in the belt that was too large and adjust the bust from straight to a sweetheart. His work is wonderful and I was so comfortable on my big day!

I brought in this dress because I loved it but it was a bit big and frumpy looking on me in the waist area as you can see in the first picture. I was a little worried that the ruffles in the dress would be compromised in the midst of taking in the waist but I am fully impressed by the final result! I came into this shop with a bit of an unusual request: to make a suit out of Pendleton patterned wool for a special event. He offered helpful suggestions, got the work done quickly, and was very accommodating throughout the whole process - I am extremely happy with how my dress turned out! He also did the alterations on my moms mother of the bride dress, as well as my dads suit - everyone was happy with his work. This place is fantastic! The owner is extremely friendly and he does great work! My wife and I have been going here for almost 5 years now. They have worked on everything from the curtains in two of our rooms to making the alterations to my wifes wedding dress. I brought in a new balance Jacket to be stitched. We discuss rerunning new thread to prevent tearing. This was poorly done. You promised to have it done by Friday. I arrived 1 hr before closing and was not started and told in 30 minutes and asked if I would be waiting around. Expected a thorough job especially given my let down but outcome was poor. There were loose threads after pickup on sleeve wrist and same hoodie area you stitched. I would have stitched as courtesy or call to ask to stitch to prevent loose but nope. I wont go back as you did not appear concerned for delay or did anything to rectify. I tossed my ticket and by my discription of issue..you know who I am now. I can post a picture of issue if needed to show you

Absolutely EXQUISITE work!! I recently lost a few pounds after graduating nursing school and took my suit to get taken in. The suit was already a modern slim fit and they were able to elevate my suit to a new height. Fits like a glove! Great craftsmanship.

TERRIBLE experience. Masood charged me over $700 to make the following alterations to my wedding dress: shorten the length and width, add cups, and add a button to pin the train up. $700 and the quality was absolutely garbage. The cups were lazily sewn in along only one edge and straight to the interior surface of the dress (he originally told me hed be separating the layers of the dress to insert them inside, and thats why it was going to cost so much), the dress was still too long, and the train was not pulled up. I could hardly walk without tripping over it. He told me theres nothing he could do about it because thats just the way it is and thats normal, and he had other deadlines for other clients and didnt have time to make additional changes. Additionally, the button he put on for the train wouldnt even hold up the little bit of the train lifted. It kept slipping off with the slightest of movements. He tried to blame this on my request for a rhinestone button instead of a pearl. He literally said it was impossible to have a rhinestone button and still expect it to hold up my train. EXCUSE ME? Its not like I requested a specific button with a weird shape or anything. I simply asked for a rhinestone button instead of a pearl, and rhinestone buttons are not uncommon... OF COURSE I expect a button you as a tailor selected and attached to my dress with a specific purpose to actually fulfill that purpose!! I called my mom in a panic, and she said to see if he could add a second button to lift the train more and alleviate some of the pull. Its amazing that my mother, whos never altered a dress in her life, was able to actually come up with a solution when this so called professional couldnt and said nothing could be done. He added another one--which didnt totally eliminate the problem, but definitely helped--but not without first charging me ANOTHER $65...to add a button... After I already payed him $700 and his work was complete trash. What an absolute nightmare this was! Save yourself some hassle, money, and stress and avoid this tailor.***Response to owner: Not a single aspect of your response is accurate, and only further proves your complete disregard for customers.Saying I had other tailors refuse to work with me is a flat out lie. I met with one lady right before you, and it was I that decided not to go with her.That is absolutely not what I paid for my wedding dress, nor what they wouldve charged me for alterations (by the way, you seriously think its appropriate to post prices of other peoples items online?? real professional...) You charged me just about $720 all in. Would you like me to post photos of those receipts?Your times are WAY off. I had face time with you for maybe 30 minutes during my first appointment and maybe another 30 minutes during my second appointment. You were the only person in the store and were helping all other people that walked in at the same time. It was you that kept me waiting, as well as several others in the store, by trying to see everyone at once.Also, I was on the phone with my mom for 5 minutes at most (while you were helping other people), and she did not say it looked perfect. I took two suits here that I acquired fairly close to my wedding day to get some tailor work done. The service was completed quickly and in time for the big day. The gentleman at the store was friendly and helpful and the quality of the work was quite good.

This is the best tailor in Albuquerque. They are professional and do what they say they are going to do. I am tall and have a hard time finding clothes that fit. I can buy anything and have them make it look great. I don’t think they are expensive. I think the value for what you get is about right. If you go to the lowest cost option you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t trust anybody else. I highly recommend.

First off let me say that I wasnt in any rush for my order. I did a custom alteration on a halter top dress and had two pairs of pants hemmed all for about $55. I gave him exactly a week, Tuesday to Tuesday, and the results were absolutely perfect. The halter top dress was ankle length, but I had it cut to knee length and kimono styles slits added to the sides. Im really happy with the results. I would recommend this place to anyone needing alterations done. But guys, try to give the guy some time. Perfection shouldnt be rushed alright? I promise you its worth it.

Great customer service and super quick turn around. I bring all my work clothes in here and while its just an item or 2 at a time, its always done same day. No threads hanging out and stitching is perfect. Only place Ill go. Pricing is reasonable, especially for same day service.

The only time I had ever had an alterations experience in my lifetime was when I was 14 getting my homecoming dress altered. Thus, Final Stitch is my first experience with alterations as an adult. I went in around noon on a Thursday with my bridesmaid dress. The dress was too long and the bust practically fell right off. It was a relatively quick visit-putting the dress on took more time than it took for him to decide what he had to do. He didnt measure my bust, which I initially was concerned about, because keeping the dress up was a big issue. I had a week to get it altered, with the wedding just 9 days away from the time I went in. I picked it up this afternoon and Im so happy with the results! Everything fits perfect. The dress is floor length, but not so much that I feel Ill trip, and the padding in the bust is enough to keep me in the dress, but not so much that I feel Im suffocating. Although it seems pricey, I have no other place to compare it to, so I cant say anything about that other than - I definitely feel I got what I paid for. Ill return to Final Stitch for my next alteration.

Like many, the reviews for Final Stitch got me in the door. I needed to have an expensive and elaborate couture gown altered. Notwithstanding the excellent reviews, I was still nervous about putting my cherished dress into the hands of a tailor Id never used. So, I gave Mr. Suliman a couple of shirts to alter, one with an awkward front pleat. He did a beautiful job with every piece. And when it came time to trim down the couture dress, he handled it masterfully. Since then, my husband and I have brought him many other items of clothing including suits, dress shirts, skirts and pants. We have not once needed to ask to have work adjusted or redone. We live in Santa Fe and are happy to drive to Albuquerque for such excellent, reliable work. Dont let Mr. Sulimans relaxed manner and easy hand with the chalk fool you. He is exceptionally precise and committed to satisfaction. Fine quality at a fair price.

While Final Stitch is a little steep in terms of price, you can rest assured that your altered garment will be perfect. I went to Masood for my wedding dress a few years ago. He transformed a pretty snug fitting lace mock turtleneck into a lovely (and non-restricting) neckline, knowing exactly what to recommend to achieve a much more flattering look while also increasing the comfort level tremendously. I also had the dress taken in quite a bit and hemmed. I will definitely turn to Final Stitch for future alternations.

I first came to Masood and Final Stitch based on a few great reviews other people had given concerning wedding dress alterations. I had a costume ball gown that my then 13-year-old daughter needed taking in. It was an extremely complicated gown with layers and tucks. He and his staff did an absolutely beautiful job, and even did it in a way in which some areas of the dress could be let out again a bit if she grew more. I was so impressed! I then decided to have him change my 20-year-old, floor length wedding dress into a cocktail dress. Again, the work was flawless and I have a beautiful new dress that I can wear again! Ive since been back to have more simple things done like pants hemmed, but I wont go anywhere else. Everything, no matter how simple or complicated, that Ive taken to him comes back perfect and fits beautifully.

I had a strapless dress that needed to fit like a glove to stay up and the train had to be hemmed in a special way because the fabric was originally stitched at an angle. The dress turned out perfect and was finished on time. Final Stitch was worth every penny!

I had my wedding dress altered at Final Stitch in 2015. I was between two sizes and let the sales people at the bridal store convince be to order the smaller size, which was a mistake. I was not excited about having it let out. Masood was very professional and my dress fit perfectly! There was no evidence it had been altered, the work was so high quality.I recommend Final Stitch to friends and coworkers all the time. Especially if youre getting a wedding dress done, theres no better place in town.

I always have to get trousers/dress pants hemmed, so am always going to tailors. I am relatively new to the area and this was the first time I needed tailoring services and picked this place as it is on my daily commute. I dropped by on a Friday at lunch and really needed them done by Monday for a business trip on Tuesday. I asked if it were possible to get the pants done by Monday, expecting either a no or to pay a nice premium for rush service. Nearly every tailor I have ever been to, having lived in many cities in many states over the years, have always taken a week to get pants hemmed, or pay a nice fee for next day service. I was told that it would be no problem to get them done same day! I was shocked at how cheap the price was given that the pants would be done in a matter of hours. I experienced wonderful customer service and the hemming was beautifully done. I will be using this place as long as I am living in the ABQ area.

My experience at Final Stitch was fantastic. I was worried about having my dress altered because it was very intricate with the way the lace on the dress was designed. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my dress back and found the alterations even better than I expected. It was worth paying top dollar to ensure my dress alterations would be perfect!

I didnt actually get service from them, I took in a sweatshirt to get a zipper replaced and they wanted $50 to fix it! Almost as much as I paid for it. Dont really know how much things like this cost but thought it was too much. A few days later I ended up going to a place on the Westside called DC Alterations which charged me only $20. They did a great job and the zipper worked like a champ. Im pretty sure other places would probably be cheaper as well too. I dont know why this place tried to charge MORE than double. Will never go back and try to get work done from them. You can see for yourself and get an outrageous quote from them, but I would just look somewhere else to began with.For everyone who cares about their money.

After reading many reviews I came her with my wedding dress expecting great service. Masood was extremely rude when I went in and also EXTREMELY pricey! I was quoted $350 just to have this dress just hemmed. I had previously been quoted in denver $400 for hemming and the additional take in if sides fixing holes in lace etc. He didnt care to have me try this one or anything to see what alterations were needed. I would not recommend this place at all!

Final Stitch altered my wedding dress for my June 2015 wedding. Masood did an amazing job taking up all 8 layers of my dress, taking in the bodice, adding a bustle, and adding removable straps so I wouldnt have to worry about my dress falling down while I danced! Turns out, the bodice alteration was done so well that the dress didnt budge the entire night and I never even used the straps! I would use Final Stitch again in a heartbeat!

A little expensive compared to some places I found in other cities in my life, but after disastrous experiences with three other places in ABQ, the craftsmanship here has always been excellent. Having tried a smattering of the other shops in town via personal recommendations, and never receiving anything better than mediocre results and service(sometimes downright terrible), I decided to give Final Stitch a try based on the positive things I read online, and I am very glad that I did. Not only is the final product top-notch, but the customer service is as well. Masood, the friendly proprietor, gives you his full attention, and works with you patiently to really understand what you as the customer wants, no matter how simple or complex the job. You get the sense he really cares that you end up with what you want, and not just that he earned the sale for service. A rarity these days for *any* business, let alone a tailoring shop. I sincerely look forward to any future alteration needs, and I cant recommend these guys any higher. Theyre the best--you wont be disappointed!

Masood is incredibly calm and friendly and his tailoring skills are nothing short of outstanding. I regularly take pants and shirts to be altered and he is so professional and gracious. Everything is always perfect. Its not easy to find such expertise and superior service and Albuquerque is fortunate to have The Final Stitch. Masood has helped me have the style I want in clothes with a great fit.

Came here to alter a pair of Carhartt jeans that were too baggy. They did a great job. A little on the pricey side, but the quality shows. Definitely was worth it.

I brought in both a designer sheath dress and a (rather expensive) bridesmaid dress in need of everything from the addition of sleeves, to being hemmed, to needing to be taken in. I am thrilled that I decided to come here for my alterations. Professional, patient and beautiful work. The work was done quickly and Masood was very attentive to my concerns and specific requests. A bit pricy but more than worth the quality work. I will not be going anywhere else for my alterations.
