We have been coming to Kim’s for 15 years. Mrs Kim is an amazing seamstress. She is truly the best in town!

I went two days before my senior prom 5 minutes before closing and the workers were very kind and had my dress ready for me the morning of my prom. The service was fast and my dress alterations were done well. The workers can be a little brusque (or maybe it was because I came in right before closing) but they were polite and worked quickly. Im so grateful for their service and highly recommend this place.

Over priced and wouldn’t take a debit card. Rude and short with answers. Yeah good luck!

Kim is definitely brusque, very straight to the point, and slightly rushed, but if you can get past that, she does excellent work at a reasonable price. The hemming job she did on my pants and suit jacket was incredibly well done to the point that I wasn’t sure she had actually modified anything until I put it on and it fit better. It was only $32 for the whole job.In sort, while her people skills could be better, the alterations were excellent.

I gave her a difficult problem to deal with and she did a remarkable job. My 1st choice for any and all tailoring.

I highly recommend Kims Alterations. I had a bridesmaid dress hemmed and shortened on the straps. Good service, quality job, and at a wonderful price.I will be going back!

Lady rushes customers. She interrupts customers while they R explaining. Somewhat temperamental, rude & demanding. Good Luck with that.

I love love this place! I have taken my work pants to get hemmed and have also taken my dresses for weddings I have been in. They always make everything to fit perfect! I recommend them to everyone! They also are priced so well :)

Very straightforward, but gets the job done, was recommended by a friend, and I will go no where else, gives you a price right away, reasonable prices!

The positives: she is fast and efficient. Felt like I wouldnt have to wait forever to get my dress back.The negatives: Kim seemed too rushed to really care about me as a client. She was a bit rude. She charged me more than what she originally told me it was going to cost too. I think she could learn some people skills. She treated me like she was driving cattle, in and out you go.

I wish that I could give 0 stars.... I rushed down to Kims alterations got there 45 minutes before closing and the owner told me to go put the dress on, I went in put it on and she bum-rushed me. She asked me what i needed most on it I wanted to speak with her on everything I needed on it to see if she was willing to do the work I needed on my WEDDING dress. She would not let me speak with her about what i needed and she started putting needles in the back and chalking the bottom. She looked at me and rudly said You could not find a dress that looked like what you want? all I wanted was a corset back and hem. After my Fiance walked in and he saw how rude she was being to me, he stated we will go somewhere else and she grabbed my wedding dress out of my hands to take the chalk lines off and threw it back at me and told me i dont need to come back. Horrible experience for something that should have been enjoyable. I hope Kim learns how to treat people with respect and gets better soft skills. I will never recommend this place for any kind of work because of the person who runs it.

Im sad to say it since I trusted this shop multiple times, but they have ruined several of my pieces over the years that Im finally tossing out and realizing the alterations were just very poorly done. Ive since moved from ABQ but when I move back will need to find a proper tailor.

Rude. And expensive.

I would give 0 star if I could. She totally ruined my dress and was rude when I asked about it. She even said that the alteration was difficult...that is what I paid for... if it was difficult ( and it was not) she should have said so before ruining my dress.

Get an estimate in writing! I was charged almost 300% of the estimated price for my sewing job. Last Monday, I was quoted $1 per patch for sewing seven scout badges onto uniform sashes for my kids. When I came to pick up the sashes today, I was charged $20.33, not $7 plus tax as expected.

I have used this alteration shop multiple times for over for 10+ years and never had any issues with pricing, timetables or finished product. Kim is courteous and does an excellent job on anything I have need tailored.

I am surprised by the negative reviews, I have used this tailor many times and I have never had problems, in fact I think they do very high-quality work. I have had alterations on dresses, suits, and pants done here all with excellent results.

Avoid Kims Alterations! - I took a sports coat to be taken in and two pairs of slacks to be hemmed. The seams on the sports coat are uneven with pockets in the seam and there are snags on the material that werent there when I dropped the jacket off. Top that off with the fact that the sports coat now fits worse than before. Its a total loss.I tried on one pair of slacks and the hems are so sloppy & uneven (not straight) they look like I did them by hand and one leg is about a half inch longer than the other.I am scared to even look at the other pair of slacks. Learn from my experience and find someplace other than Kims to take your clothes for tailoring.
