Gary the Owner introduced himself and made it a point to make sure I was comfortable understanding GM was able meet all my vehicle needs and Randy the Service Mg took over from there and gave me a full explanation of the process of intake and cost structure and communication that would be involved with diagnosing and repairing my vehicle.What a breath of fresh air in the automotive repair industry this business is! Ps. the actual facility is spotless and gives you that sense of a well run professional organization!

I had my 2005 GMC 2500HD front end worked on before it could be aligned. Im surprised that they will only replace parts that need it and not look to replace what isnt. they are costumer driven. Great service!

I called up to see if this place performed a simple tune up type service (injector cleaning). Instead of assisting me to find the issue and help me get my vehicle running smoothly, the person on the phone was condescending and unhelpful. I am surprised to see all of these positive reviews, because to be honest, it is the opposite of the experience I had.To note, the one star is not for the quality of the service, since I did not receive any. The single star is due to the condescending tone and general unhelpfulness. Sure, you may be honest, but to me you were honestly rude and not helpful. I am surprised that in all your time working on GM vehicles you claim to have never heard of fuel injector cleaning. Its a fairly common procedure.

I definitely recommend GM Specialist. They communicate with you about whats going on and what repairs are needed. My vehicle wouldnt pass smog and another shop told me it could be the catalytic converter. Thankfully GM Specialist found a much cheaper fix (just a sensor) and also repaired my heater hoses that had been closed off due to a leak so now I have heat for the winter too. Thanks guys for going above and beyond and not charging me an arm and a leg. You guys rock!!

The work they do at this shop is excellent an above standards compared to other shops in the area.I would recommend anybody who has a GM vehicle to make this your shop for your vehicle They never let me down with the work I’ve needed from headers to a full rear end swap with gears. These guys were a major blessing. Took my car there out of convenience when it overheated. It was after 5 and they were close and happened to be open till 5:30. They got right on it the next morning and were very competent. They didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need but found the source of the problem very quickly even though it was something that I definitely wouldnt have thought of. Gary and Corey were awesome along with the mechanic who did the work (Jim I believe). He was very quick, efficient and obviously very experienced and knowledgeable. Great bunch of guys here!!!!

You can get any gm original parts or the upgrade the is properly made for you gm or vehicle that uses gm/ ac delco products.

Greg was very nice to speak with on the phone and in person. A previous mechanic had informed me that my problem with my 2000 Astro van was from a fuel pump or starter pack. I had informed Greg of the information that I had received. Greg suggested that I have a diagnostic test done first for $95. They have a good reputation so I went with it. I had my van towed by their choice of tow companies which was $55. Once my van was there I had received a call from Greg informing me that the mechanic stated that it is a spark problem and not a fuel problem. He stated that it needed a tune up. $500 in labor and the rest with parts over $200. Grand total $878. It was around $100 cheaper from my previous quote on a fuel pump. It is running again, yay.

I Talked to KC on the phone and he had my business before the call was over, his guys found my Problem corrosion in my ECU... I never would of thought.... I have a 2011 gmc truck, it started shaking real bad, I took the vehicle to Midas and they told me it was my shocks, took to les scb they told me it was my rear differ and when both places told me this I paused to have the work done, it cost a apprx $3000 to have work done, but still truck was shaking, I took it to GM spec in Yuba city, they found out it was only my tires, so they road forced and balance my tire really good, the shaking in my truck stopped and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg, GM spec was very professional and concern about my issue, they are my only mechanic now, they education of GM vehicles is excellent and their repair cost is fair and good, i’am 100 percent happy

My experience with this company was great. I am very excited to take advantage of their new fleet service department. I know that Gary and Ron will take great care of my fleet just like they do with the many other fleets they service. In a small town like Yuba City you have to make sure that you align yourself with partners that will help your business grow and stay profitable. One of the best Automotive centers in this town. They are honest and quick. They also have a great Fleet Department and do not take advantage of you just because you own a business. Great customer service. I took my mother in laws car in here to diagnose a check engine light that kept coming on. They were able to isolate the issue and repair the problem.

I went in today to smog our suburban which we rarely drive. The battery had died before, dont remember when and it had to be charged at home. After that, we have had no problems with our suburban. We just dont drive it often. We failed our smog. After the fact, the person said if your battery is disconnected or goes dead, you lose the current history of the engine and it wont smog. It would have been nice to know that before hand. Later, my wife called and spoke to the person in charge who said we dont take an interview before we smog a car. If you know a car will not pass smog if a battery has been disconnected or has gone dead, that is something a responsible and professional mechanic would ask. Put a sign up for people to read it you do not want to Interview them. Had they asked that simple question, we would not have tried to smog the vehicle at that time. We would have driven it more frequently, then smogged it. We have never failed a smog check on this vehicle. What they did to us was very unprofessional. Gave them $47.50 for nothing. Shame on them. We feel robbed. After talking to wife and seeing our review..., Gary called back and said he put up a sign in the office so customers would see it. It warns about a few things that could make your vehicle fail. However.., he made no effort or offer to make things right with us. So sadly our review will stand as is...., and he will get no future business from us.... Mind you.., I do not like giving anyone bad ratings and/or reviews.... matter of fact.., this is the first.... : (

My vehicle was in one day and out the next; it could have been out same day but Corey said they would like to keep it to run more tests the next day to ensure it was all good to go. I took my 2001 Volvo S80 to the shop and asked Ron to perform a brake inspection. I did not feel the brakes were working at full capacity. I also needed a smog inspection. The techs did a complete clean of the disk brakes on all four wheels as well as bleeding the brake system. I appreciated the honesty of the techs in their evaluation of my brakes. I thought I might need new rear pads but all that was needed was a good cleaning and fresh fluid. The brakes are now working very well and I am very pleased with the service and price I was charged for the work that was performed. Good to know I have a shop in town that can work on my Volvo.

I have never written a review before but felt I needed to write this because of the excellent service I received. Ron was very friendly and very helpful. The shop itself exceeded my exceptions on cleanliness I have never been to a Smog shop that was so clean and even the bathrooms were very clean. My wait was relatively short and Ron took good care of me and even offered to my daughter a deal on detailing her car on the inside and out not the full detail plan and I was very happy with the price he quoted me. I would recommend this shop to friends and family and I am even considering taking my vehicles there for other services I was so impressed with the service there. Gary is a great guy took a little convincing but. I m disappointed because when I drove the car home the steering wheel was not centered like I have asked them specifically for it to be centered during the wheel alignment service.Gary is prepared to address the issues n fix the problem. I may have pull the triggered prematurely.stay tuned.Jun 24 brought the car in for redo.Gary would not adjust the alignment. Very disappointed. I begged him many times but he refused to adjust the alignment on the car.He threatened to call the police if I dont leave so I leftI m at a Toyota dealer n getting the alignment done again.Stay tunedThe alignment was out and Yuba Toyota dealer adjusted. I paid Yuba Toyota for this alignment service again.Now I am asking Gary to refund me the alignment charge of $70.00.I am waiting for the decision from Gary.It does not look like Gary is refunding me the money.My goal is share my experience with the public.facts: My 4runner was brought for four wheel alignment n Jun 21 and Jun 24 but was not done correctly. so I brought the car to Yuba Toyota and they fixed the alignment messed up by GM Specialist.I paid Yuba Toyota. I requested for a refund from GM Specialist. So far they have not.Jun 24, 2019 Gary told me to get out or he would call the police.what you should expect1. dont expect to save money because the alignment charge 80 at GM specialist and $90 at Toyota Dealer. $10 saving can bring a lot of headache and additional cost like what happened to me.2.Dont expect high quality service because they do not how. they could not align my car even after many trials. for a simple alignment they could not do properly, do not expect them to perform much more complicated works on your cars.3. Dont expect fair and courteous treatment because if you disagree with them they would kick you out4 Dont expect them to listen to you and your concerns.My recommendations:1. if you need wheel alignment, this is not the shop for you.2. I do not recommend this shop if you have complicate and more difficult mechanical problems on your cars.3. they are not cheaper than the authorized dealer like Toyota.4. Be careful if you decide to go to this shop.I never get the refund from the manager. I will not recommend this shop.

This place is a joke. Apparently the smog technicians time is too valuable for him to ask if you have EO stickers for a couple of aftermarket parts before testing. Nope.. just gonna go ahead and fail you first and then ask if you would like to pay for another test. Crooks

Great customer service & very honest in dealing with problems. I thought the transmission had gone out on my vehicle because when I put it in what I believed to be drive, nothing happened. However, GM Specialist found nothing wrong. When I picked up the vehicle, someone else initially drove it because I was in another vehicle. I was distressed to discover the problem still existed when I got in to drive. The other driver said to put it in what appeared to be second. I conferred with a family member in another state who is a mechanic and he told me the linkage alignment was probably off, and it was safe to drive the vehicle. GM Specialist could easily have duped me, since I am not a mechanic, but didnt. Im grateful for that.

Quick and easy smog certificate for a reasonable cost.

I took my vehicle in to have them free up a window regulator, after having it in the shop for over an hour they presented me with a bill for $90.00 and said that was the diagnostic charge and never fixed what I took it in for them to do. I have NEVER had any auto repair shop charge just to tell me what needed to be done

22 year old college student here who invested in a used GM car. I took it in to see why my check engine light was on and to see how much it would cost to get fixed.Every other shop I had been to i feel didnt treat me like a real customer.Other shops talked to me like a child waiting for my parent to walk in--these guys did not do that. They made feel comfortable, talked to me, not at me, and explained everything to me in detail, from the breakdown of the pricing, updates on what they were doing with my care and what they were fixing. The staff was polite, friendly and very informative.I have always been hesistant about going to a Shop because of the stereotype that itll be too expensive or they may pull one over on you but I got to say this was not the case here.As with any repair, depending on the issue, it always seems like too much money. But my repairs were definetly worth the cost. The cost itself was not costly. I had gotten my doors fixed due to broken motors, the motors for my doors, the parts, cost more than my engine repair. So overall, it was a really good investment, both financially and car wise. These guys will be my car guys for the life of this car and probably my next. I reccomend them to everyone.

OMG !!!!We got the most amazing surprise to start off the New Year. Ron and the boys at GMSpecialist treated us with the best service and very fair pricing on a smog and repair.We have been putting off a smog for some time now thinking it would not pass but those boys did it. And the cost did not require us to donate our first born (humor folks). The place was clean (even the restroom). Their hands and cloths were also up to standards. wow, the coffee was even good. they gave us personal attention even though they had many customers come in on Saturday. This is a breath of fresh air to experience this customer service. So, if you need and car repaired or smog, I truly recommend GMSPECIALIST.

Absolutely horrible service!!!!! Scratched up rims with no regard!! Did not complete job requirement with no regard!!! Stink attitude telling customer to get car off racks now cause they were not completing their service and to get out of shop or they were going to move the car them selves. No knowledge of use of equipment and no care to time management got to shop with 2 hours before 6:00. Gary who is the owner and manager says he was done it was time to close shop and it was time to go home that he was not going to get his hands dirt..y Left at 6:20 with barely any work done shop would not perform any labor that required actual physical work.This place promised they could do a alignment on a classic car as i repeatedly asked them to be sure job was doable before i got car off trailor Horrible!!! Horrible!!!! Gary said I would have to return the next day to finish up the work. Absolutely No Regard that myself with family would have to return spending $80 more dollars in gas going back and forth as we live 1hr and 15 min away. I return the next day trying to call before and no answer by 12:45 he says to me that he is refusing to do service with me and there is nothing he can do about it. I go next door to a credible shop they say he is hopeless. I go few buildings down to an alignment specialist and got the job done aligned in about 1hour and 1/2 than man using same machine that Gary scratched my rims up using somehow made no scratches of his own.Although he took the time to try to fix Garys scratches and proceeded to buff and polish scratches out but could not. Shop stated Gary truly messed up rims and this will most likely take over $200 to get them fixed but still not back to the original state. I then go back to AC Delco show Gary rims and tell him the situation; he tells me that oh well theres nothing he can do about it and to take it up with my insurance. This guy has no regard for customer service or care and should not be running with no knowledge of work or common descensey to man. Disgusting...
