I am at a loss with this place..... In the past they were responsive, professional, and and quick....... This time I have been waiting on a estimate to put a simple roof rack on a truck for over a month and a half. I have called several times and made two trips in. Yes they do great work but I guess they just didnt want my money so I went elsewhere the whole way to Tuscon

When it comes to my car they did an awesome job on my air conditioning and oil change. I give them A+

Desert Auto takes care of all three of my cars. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. If one of my cars need something they tell me, if I ask them to look at something and its not a problem, they let me know and I dont pay for an unneeded repair. Very Honest shop.

SEE UPDATE below original Post: My confidence in Desert Automotive has lessened quite a bit with this recent visit. I dropped off a pick-up last Wed (8:00AM appt time, 19 May) due to a check engine light diagnostic that suggested an upper intake manifold gasket needed to be replaced. I was told that notwithstanding unforeseen circumstances, it should be 1-2 days max. That Thurs late afternoon I called to get a status update as I hadnt heard anything. I was told that due to an extraordinary circumstance the truck had not been seen. I was OK with that (given the explained circumstances) as I was assured a technician would get to work on it the next day (Fri). I called back late this afternoon (the following Tu, 25 May)...3 full business days after a tech was supposed to get on it. The response was that the technician didnt have anything definitive, but should have something tomorrow (Wed, 26 May). This would suggest that nobody has touched the truck since I dropped it off, much less started work on it last Fri as promised. If there was a problem in getting to it, I would have expected the courtesy of a phone call. Not impressed with the lapse of good business practice.==========UPDATE: 25 May 2021Mr. Clark, I truly appreciate the exceptionally prompt response and do understand the challenges that unforeseen (and unfortunate) circumstances present. I was aware off your technicians loss and our thoughts and prayers have been with him and his family. However, I was not aware of your managers situation and hope that his wife is doing well. I am sorry that I missed your call, but the fact that you personally responded to this review and reached out so promptly in order to make things right says much about you as a business owner and a person of integrity...which other business owners should emulate! I was looking into purchasing a vehicle and noticed it had some work performed at this shop. I call and to my surprise they were very courteous and went completely out of their way to assist me with finding out more details about the vehicle. This information became invaluable in my decision to purchase the vehicle.If they are willing to go so far out of their way for someone who isnt even their customer, I can only imagine the high quality of service that they offer!

I was very disappointed with them.I took my truck there to get the pass key unlocked mabey a few days with trouble he told me they were alittle short handed and can get to it in a couple days.Sure no problem I can wait I get it.But the problem was that I waited almost 2 and a half weeks they didnt try and call me nothing so I called them yesterday and left my wifes number so they can call her back I guess the guy went on break ok but they never called my wife or me back completely ignored so I called today just to find out they got busy and have not looked at my truck at all so at this point I was mad nope Im coming to get it Im tired of all this so I get there and find out they moved my truck all the way in the back to make room far a jeep and still didnt look at my truck Im sorry some people may have gotten great service here but mine was awefull I own a house 3 blocks from there shop but I garenty I will never use them again.

This was not a good place to take an RV for an oil change. I paid 125 for and oil change and they did not top off the coolant neither nor told me it was empty. I asked for a tire inspection and they recommended to replace two tires but did not inspect the tire pressure. This place might be wonderful for other people. But it was not so much for me. I do not think all clients are treated the same way.

Wow Desert Automotive’s customer service and service work is top notch!! These guys are awesome. I called the shop to see if they could fit my 25 ft. RV in for a tire alignment that day after getting new tires put on. Not only did Daniel fit us in that afternoon, saving us a return trip, they also checked out an issue for us and found everything to be okay. Our service technician, Renee, was also able to correct a crooked steering wheel issue with our alignment. This is something we have tried to have fixed for four years and no other shop could do it. Desert Automotive cares about their customers and the work they do on your vehicles. I would recommend DA in a heartbeat, amazing service! I want to thank Gary, Travis, George and Chelsey for the awesome build they did on my 2019 Hellcat Redeye. They took my vision to reality. Even when I changed my mind, they were quick to make all adjustments and in a timely manner.Also recently bought a 2017 Porsche that I had the team look over before final purchase to make sure all was good. Once again nothing but excellent service.If you ever need any auto work done big or small don’t go anywhere else, let this team handle it you will not regret it!

First-time customer and had an outstanding experience. The waiting area is comfortable, the shop area is clean and well laid out, and employees are meticulously attired. Plus the service is superb! Gary (Service Manager) meticulously checked me in for a front-end alignment on my truck. Arin (ASE Certified Tech) came back to ask if I did heavy towing or not (as alignment specs can be tweaked in anticipation of frequent heavy towing). That was a smart thing to do! Best of all, Arin found my front-end alignment within spec (how many shops are that truthful!) and his free, full under-carriage safety inspection found one side of my rear disc brake pads was getting thin and would soon need replacement (thats attention to detail and safety-first). And to top it all off when checking out, Gary said since there was no actual alignment adjustment, he DROPPED the price to an alignment check AND he also honored the full value of the coupon I had previously presented up front at check-in (how many businesses would drop the price and STILL accept the full coupon discount?). Per my request, I also got an alignment printout showing factory specs and my trucks alignment measurements (I am tired of other shops making excuses for not being able to do that)! I am a guy who does ALL the work on all my vehicles (2 cars, 1 diesel truck, 1 Class A motorhome, 2 motorcycles) which is why I hardly ever bring them to a mechanic in my 15 yrs residency in Sierra Vista. But given no alignment machine at my house (I have a lift and a fully equipped 1,880 sq ft man-cave workshop), I checked out Desert Automotive for the first-time and was incredibly impressed with every facet of their business. This is the ONLY place I will ever even begin to think about using as their great prices, thoroughness, and HONESTY spells indisputable, 5-star customer service!

These days it is really hard to find an automotive repair shop that you can trust to do things right, at reasonable costs and with professionalism. Look no farther than Desert Automotive in Sierra Vista. They are one of a kind in my book. The service advisers are courteous, competent and professional. The technical staff, mechanics are the best that I have ever encountered. They just dont quit until the job is done right. And, you can always expect a fair price. Dont go anywhere else in Sierra Vista for car, truck, and RVs. Heck, they might even do drones. :-)

My truck broke on the way to work, had my truck towed to the shop early afternoon. Gary remembered my truck dug into the records found me before I had time at work to call them. I let them know what was going on and advised Gary that this was my only vehicle right now so the sooner the better (usually I have multiple vehicles so no rush). I got a call few minutes after 5 my truck was done, same day.....was a break down but relatively easy to fix and parts were available .....I know that it took many things to make this happen parts available, easy repair, etc.....but had Gary not been on that truck as soon as it showed up, the mechanic David not been able to look at it that day and repair quickly....would have been hitching a ride to work. I have a vehicle at another shop in town .....I said no rush.....next month will have been sitting there a year, I think I will have it towed to Dessert Automotive in the next week! Thank you guys!!!!

Im glad I found this place. I had a pesky vacuum leak problem, and they found it, whereas 2 Ford dealers could not. Mark the mechanic stayed with it to the end, until it was fixed! And as a bonus while waiting, they have some really cool cars to look at :-)

Several visits over a relatively short period of time with a relatively old diesel pickup. (I am not the original owner.) Somewhat apprehensive on the first visit. Am now completely satisfied. Service manager customer interaction is superb, listens, asks questions, responds to questions, does not push or recommend (others could take a lesson). Technician is honest and ethical enough to spot, identify and recommend even if outside of initial customer stated problem(s). Business provides good, honest, solid, reliable bang-for-the-buck. If I can give negative stars I would. My partner was told the alignment might be off by the paint and body shop that fixed the front end of the car after an accident. The body shop works with desert automotive so we had to take the car to them so that the insurance co. would pay for the repairs if the damage was accident related. We had a third party check the alignment before we went to desert automotive, and it was fine. Desert Automotive told us the alignment was off, the tires were bad and they could not balance them, and there was a nail in one tire. We would have to get all new tires. And they changed the tail lights. We took the car back to the third party tire shop, and told them what happened. The tires were still in really good shape, there was no nail, and there was no problem balancing the tires. Desert Automotive also changed the alignment. We were taken care at the third party shop.

Desert Automotive is the ONLY place I take my vehicles, including an RV, for maintenance. Utmost professionals, they never up sell me and they dont treat me like a lady who doesnt have a clue. Fast, courteous service, they get the job done to perfection the first time and the prices are great. I also have to add that the reception and waiting areas are incredibly clean, comfortable and well just the coolest areas you have ever seen for a maintenance facility! And the bathrooms...incredibly clean, gorgeous and spa-like!!! Desert Automotive is a maintenance experience not an average garage! I recommend them to everyone.

I was traveling through Sierra Vista in my RV and pulled in to Desert Automotive for an oil change. They fit me in to their busy schedule the same day. I had a 2009 C63 AMG let me tell you the guys at Desert Automotive never gave me reason to believe they did not know what they were doing. I must say that car is and can be hard to maintain and they worked with me every time I had a question or an issue they were on it. I love those guys and wish they were nationwide. I took my vehicle, 1998 Toyota Tacoma truck to them after I have exhausted all other options and having taken it to Tucson several times. They managed to solve all the issues. Alignment, engine noise, water pump problem, and other issues successfully. They charged me a very reasonable rate. My truck drives great now and I am very happy with the results. These guys are professional. Dealing with Tom in the front office and a great and amazing mechanic, Justin. Justin took the time to diagnose the problem, and he managed to actually pinpoint an issue that has been going on for several months. I was amazed to say the least. I am not one to write reviews that are positive about services, but for this one I can not believe that I am actually taking the time and writing this. I can tell you one thing, my vehicles are going there from now on. Being in Sierra Vista, I did not believe that there is a good service, but this one changed my view. Thanks to all the pros there.

Great customer service! We were on a road trip travelling in the area in March 2018 and I was concerned about dangling wires under my RV that I couldnt access without a hoist. We dropped in without an appointment and the service manager immediately took the van in and the problem was resolved within 20 minutes. When I asked what I owed he responded just a handshake and wished us safe journey. That is not only good customer service but outstanding human relations.

Had serious engine trouble. Turned out after inspection that the engine needed replaced. Worked with front desk staff on locating new motor. I picked it up to save on shipping, couple days of work and they had old one out and new one installed with no issues. The service was outstanding, will continue too use there shop.

Hands down some of the best customer service in Sierra Vista! I took my SUV into them for an oil change and to inspect the transmission. They found a leak in my transmission and then researched that it was a problem with my make/model of vehicle. They went above and beyond calling a local dealership to ensure that the problem was covered under my warranty and then provided me the name and number to call to have the problem fixed for free at the dealership. Great prices, honest and friendly staff! I will be a repeat customer as long as I live in AZ.

I did not see the good service people comment about here. I scheduled an appointment for 9am a few days in advance to check a simple item. At 10:20 am they still had not touched my vehicle nor updated me on when they would. I had to call a ride so I would not be sitting around all day. They then charged me for fixing nothing. My time is too valuable to return to this place.

Took in my dodge challenger with my girlfriends mom to have color switching halo lights and fog lights put in and my louver re glued brought it in at 8 in the morning and didnt hear anything all day so called around 12pm and they said they would get back to us never did again called at 1:30 and said they would get back to us call again at 2 since no one still didnt get back to us finally come to find out they didnt do anything to the car because they didnt feel comfortable but didnt even try getting ahold of us all day then when we went to pick it up they took the wheels off to make it seem like they were gonna do something so just a waste of time coming here never coming back after this experience

This company does not stand behind what they say, all I got was excuses about why my car was not taken care of. I was lied to misled and when confronted this,company refused to acknowledge that they made a mistake. This mistake,cost me to have to replace my rotors.When it would not have been necessary if my car was fixed properly in the first place

Great service priced right

We were traveling through Bisbee and had a transmission temp sensor go out on our diesel F350. Truck shift points were extremely abrupt, causing tires to lock and skid on the road. Bisbee folks recommended Desert Automotive for diesel work (they also work on RVs, gassers, etc.). Despite being shorthanded, Tom at Desert got us in and Aric got us running smoothly again. Cant thank them enough.

The team is professional and went out of their way to help me. They even called me back 2 weeks later to check on me and the service. Highly, highly recommend. And this was service for my RV!

Instead of just telling me that I had to replace my powertrain control module, Chelsea, had my pcm sent to a specialized professional in the Midwest. By doing doing this, I got my truck up and running without having to buy a new pcm, which is very expensive.It is the care, professionalism, and expertise that is given to you, that count when you are having some serious problems with your vehicle, that count in my book. I will never go anywhere else for any truck repair/truck modification as long as I live in the Sierra Vista area.I will recommend your services to everyone I know from now on.
