This is my 2nd time coming here. The 1st time was ok but this time was horrible. I’ve only ever gotten a gel pedicure. If you don’t know exactly who you want to do your feet I suggest you find out 1st. These girls are inexperienced. I would’ve done better painting them myself. I didn’t complain while there because I made up my mind I will not come her again. I will stick to the traditional nail salons. WASTE OF MONEY!

I really wanted to like this nail salon especially since I live so close, but it is so SO BAD! The first time I booked a pedis for me and my mom and an acrylic full set with Wilmarie. (Wilmarie is amazing and I suggest you try to book through her directly) I had specifically booked Tiphany for my moms pedi, because she had good reviews, but when we got there they tried to switch her to Julisa who had the worst reviews. Apparently, the system had double booked Tiphany and she wouldnt be ready for another 45 mins because she had to eat, but in actuality it seemed she was going to leave after. Unfortunately, Tiphany wasnt happy to stay for the appt after I expressed that Julisa was not allowed to do my moms pedicure, and gave the bare minimum during the treatment. The second time I made an appt I followed up with a phone call, because I wanted to ensure the scheduling glitch didnt occur again. After the receptionist confirmed with Noremi that I would be seen the following week I was assured that there would be no issue. By the middle of the week I received a text that my appt had been canceled and when I called to inquire about the mixup I was told that I had just called to cancel my appointment for a gel pedicure and full acrylic set, both of which werent the services Id booked. Turns out the female receptionist I called to confirm my appt switched my contact info with another client and when they called to cancel their appt mine was canceled instead! Still wanting to try out Noremi, as her work was flawless, I rebooked my appt for 2 hrs later than the original and was hopeful there wouldnt be any issues. Fast forward to Saturday, Jul 17 when I arrived and was told that not only did they have no proof of my appointment, but Norey had just sat down with a WALK-IN and wouldnt be done for at least another hour. I was livid and had to be seen by another nail artist who did a lovely job but not what I had asked. I wanted mermaid nails with the scales, but she was either unable to do so or didnt understand so we just went with the color scheme. The manager, Jenna, wasnt very accommodative or offered anything for the severe inconvenience and between the poor organization and poor customer service theres not much left here. Having 3 good nail artists out of 10 when you have a poor scheduling system has disastrous effects and for that I wont be returning. -- Sidenote: My neighbor had the same exact experience and were both actively looking for a replacement!

I’ve gone to this nail salon a couple times simply because it’s convenient. The one time I had a quality experience the nail tech quit shortly after due to the organizations lack of professionalism. They kept her on the website and just switched me to someone else when arrived. After seeing that person, my toes and hands chipped within 3 days. I reached out to the business multiple times no one got back to me. I finally spoke to someone when I called he told me to come in. I came in and a woman said they couldn’t fix my nails. She was totally unprofessional, rude and aggressive. I will never return.

Ive had the same nail tech for years but she was unavailable and I needed my nails done so my friend and I tried SOYO. I would not recommend this place simply because the nail techs are not well trained or just not good at their job. I spent $80 for something so simple that wasn’t done right. Now I have to redo my nails. 😩Yeah I would never go back not even in an emergency. Sorry it’s a no for me.

I’ve been coming to Soyo ever since they opened. The service has gone downhill. At My most recent appointment, which was my last ever, i had the worst experience. I had booked my appointment 2 weeks prior with Angela (who came highly recommended to me by friends and family) and when i got to my appointment, a few minutes early. She was already with a client. They suggested i get another person, when i tried to ask for the other nail techs instagrams they just kept talking over me. Lager they began talking about me in Spanish, not knowing i understood. And when i defended my self in Spanish, i got more attitude. I had to wait an hour, Angela started to do my nails she started to make them look blocky. When i asked her in Spanish (language she preferred, because i had asked before we started) to file them down for me, she gave me attitude. When my sister came over to mention that our friends and family are some of her clients she suddenly became super nice and tired to fix the the botches job. I would have stayed to get them fixed by someone else, but the salon got way too crowed and many people were there without masks. That night i called to see if there was anyone available tomorrow who could fix my nails and they said yes and to come in at 9 am. Despite that conformation I was at the salon for 5 hours, because nail techs came in late. Then the only available nail tech had to be begged to file them, she had to worst attitude ever and was talking about me as if i wasn’t there. Meanwhile I was just being patient and understanding the whole time. Her name was Tiphany. She has a reputation of having a stank attitude, and she should not be working in customer service. That same day one of them men who works there kept running his mouth and being unprofessional. He is the skinny guy who is always at the front. The lady at the front was the nicest one. Everyone else was trash talking me in both languages. I will not be returning.

EXCELLENT SERVICE.EXCELLENT JOB.WILL DEFINITELY GO AGAIN.I WENT 7-4-2020.THEY WERE VERY NICE. I DID NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AND THE LADY CALLED ME BACK AND SAID THEY WILL TAKE ME. MEET THE MANAGER, SHE WAS VERY NICE. PRICES ARE REASONABLE.

My nails were done by Angela Castro . I recommend her. She worked so hard and did a beautiful job. :) The salon was also beautiful and clean .

I tried to give this place so many chances since I live down the street and it’s a new business but if it’s not poor quality it’s rudeness.My gel manicure bubbles up by the next day everytime! And that big lady in the front is rude as hell, she’s always rolling her eyes at someone.The owner is nice but she needs to check her staff when she’s not around. She needs trained nail technicians cuz this place ain’t it right now.

My first experience here was with Juliana at all the work I liked she looked distracted I did not know what she was doing she did not cut the cuticle she did not remove dead skin she spoke on video callsI came back here because a friend recommended me to tiphany this girl is wonderful she is super nice offers an excellent service she took out all my ingrown nails it is difficult to find someone who does this and well she helps you and tells you to be calm and she takes you out That you do not feel anything and my hands are intact, I will just turn a month and then my feet and hands seem to be freshly made, I would return a thousand times to this girl and to the place

Do not go here to do your nails. The girls there are beginners and will destroy your nails. Then after a horrible service and poor quality they want to charge a ridiculous amount.

I will NEVER come here again. I got a powder manicure. I didn’t like the way they did my nails at all. My nails lasted me 2 days and I paid $45!!! The girl who did my nail was very nice but she was listening to music the whole time she did my nails. Then they had construction going on in the back as well so I couldn’t even have an enjoyable time doing my nails. She also used a spoon to put the powder onto my nails instead of dipping them into the powder. She also kept hurting my finger and it felt like a burning sensation on my nails when she was drilling them.I tried to give the place a chance but never again. Also lastly she wasn’t wearing a mask. WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC. I wanted to give this place a 0 but that isn’t an option.

Got a gel manicure yesterday, and is already damaged. Worse manicure ever, the lady stop doing my nails to talk on the phone, forgot what she was doing, is noticeably that she forgot to do the 2 code on a nail. I need to shuck off a gelX I had on, she make me take it of my self with the nail file. Didn’t touch the cuticle. Never coming back.

This place is just awful. More than half of the staff weren’t wearing face masks which is horrifying. The girl who did my nails didn’t seem like she wanted to be there at all and kept complaining about how she was “hungry and annoyed”. She also tried to charge me an arm and a leg for a intermediate level design. Never should of came here in the first place, don’t let their Instagram page fool you!

I’ve really tried to give this place a chance. The nail techs are very friendly, however lack skill. Been here 5 times and only had 1 manicure that was satisfactory. It appears the nail techs are not experienced and fairly new with nail services. Nail techs failed to listen to my exact requests. I had to return to two days after my nails kept breaking as well as chipped nail polish to get it fixed.Been very disappointed with this place. I do not intend to keep returning till I find the one good nail tech out of the entite bunch. Save your time and money. Will be visiting other locations and provide alternatives nail places around the same area.

Why do you have an online booking portal if you don’t know how to manage time or the time of your techs if I make an appointment for 2:30pm I should be in the chair no later than 2:45pm. It’s poor business practice and it’s constantly happening at this place. Unprofessional, noisy and not even great nail techs.

This is my second time going my first experience loved it Angela did an amazing job with my nails especially with me having issues with bitting my nails. My second experience I’m very disappointed Julianna she is a kind and friendly person but she did a alot ofMistakes in my fill in which supposed to be a easy job she spend all 3 hrs talking she rush there was alot of mistakes n imperfection one of my nails broke in only 3 days of my filling another nail is crocket. She knew I was not happy with the job. I’m stay with same girl if i do come back to the place. My advice go to their instagram n look at every girls job

I dont know why this place has such bad reviews at all... I went to get tips on March 12th for my birthday party and I was so delighted regarding the final product. Originally I had an appointment with Yessenia but last minute I ended up with Wilmarie and she was amazing! This place leaves your nails looking like celebrity nails. Ive never had a better set done. I will be coming here from now on. The price is TOTALLY worth it.

The mani and pedi good, but the wax was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend getting waxed their. She almost cut my wife, and I’m writing this as my girl is putting her jacket on in their and we leaving.

I went on Friday with my cousin and I have gone there before so this was my second time and the first time wasn’t that good as I paid a deposit and they didn’t take the money off of my bill at the salon but anyways last Friday I needed a nail salon to go to and they had openings that morning. First when booking online it wouldn’t allow you to book multiple services if you are making appointments for two people. Then we arrive for our appointment and I ask for the added service for a pedicure and the pedicure that was done was horrible a gel pedicure for $40 and paint looks cheap and they didn’t even have me on a regular pedicure chair I sat at the upper level w no back support besides the wall so uncomfortable!! Then my cousin got a full set of acrylic white gel with medium length and two nails w TWO RHINESTONES AND TWO NAILS WITH GLITTER AND THAT WAS $85 and trust me money and paying is never a problem but her nails weren’t even and I could have went anywhere else w the same nail design and probably charged $65 at most. And I got a French dip powder and it was okay not the best but okay. ALSO WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC AND THE EMPLOYEES DONT WEAR THEIR MASK PROPERLY. And now I know not to even bother coming back again.

I went in to get apres gel x nail extensions and had a great experience. Jenna did a great job and my nails came out exactly as I wanted. Definitely plan on going back.

I made an appointment with a specific nail technician,I had a confirmed time with the nail technicians nameOn my confirmation. When I arrived they were doubled booked and then tried to make it seem like I was lieing. I showed them my confirmation and they still tried to say I never booked with Samantha.Their customer service is poor. They didn’t try to accommodate me or even apologize for the confusion on their part. I did not get my nails done and wasted my time. This is not the first time I have experienced this.It’s a shame the owners do not realize the customers they are losing .

The place is nice looking but that’s about it. I went a couple times when my very professional nail tech went out of town. She runs her own business and so maybe my standards are a bit high. Honestly I’d probably rather go to the local Asian nail shop because at least the skill is there. The conversations by the techs were often offensive to some of the customers. My nails broke one after another after another. I showed up on time to my appointment and the tech was super late and came in high. Once I had an appointment and they said the girl called out. The owner is nice but the staff are very unprofessional and either need training or to be replaced. Thankfully my tech is reliable and I found another place to go for the times she won’t be around. I will never return or recommend.

I booked with one particular girl because she was recommended they gave me someone totally different. I didnt know what she looked like so I figured when I was told to sit at this womans table thats who I was sitting with . She was a very nice beautiful person but she took 2 hours and my nails are awful. Paid $65 and I was over charged. The owners are never there and they are snooty. The workers dont know what they are doing when it comes to bookings etc. Really bad business. Ive given them several tries since I live near, but I will not waste my money there ever again.

Came here twice. asked for an ombré design the first time, and had a nail technician that had no idea how to do this and proceeded to try and fail - ended up having to switch to another experienced nail tech to finish it off for me, making my visit almost 2.5 hrs. the second time, had a regular gel manicure and it came out so sloppy, had cuts on my skin and the gel extended to my skin. not worth it.

I literally fell down 14 steps in my crib and I’m talking about flips and everything and sis when i tell u i looked to see if my nails were in tact. They were. And it’s been almost 3 weeks Since i did them . I love it here.

They charge extra without telling you until you are ready to pay, so be ready to be charged for the simplest, also when you have a SET APPT with someone you booked, you still have to wait. Went twice, never going back.

The place looks cute inside, I dont know how their nails are but I was rudely turned away when I came in to try to get an appointment and was quickly dismissed by the lady sitting at the front counter. I understand everything is crowded due to corona but she could have at least asked me if I wanted to make an appointment for a later date busy or not!!Very unprofessional!!

I would like to start off by saying I really tried to give this place a chance. I prefer to support small businesses, especially in my area but this place I cannot recommend nor will I return and give them my business any longer. Today was my 3rd and final time visiting this establishment. A couple of months, I reserved an appointment on their website for a basic mani and pedi. The person assigned to me was not there at time of arrival/appointment, she “went to the store” and would be “be right back”...15 minutes later, she returns to start my services. She was highly distracted, I had to keep asking her to complete basic stuff like buff my nails, cut my cuticles and paint 2 coats. She did an extremely poor job on both of my services that both my mani and pedi only lasted 4 hours before chipping!! That’s Never happened before! The following day I returned and spoke w the manager (whom was very polite and professional and fixed my manicure). I even spoke with the owner the following day and she was apologetic also so I decided to let it go and chuck it up as one little mishap. Fast forward to today- I decided to give SoYo another chance. Again, I made an appointment for a set time. I arrive on time. They ask me to have a seat and wait momentarily. I explained to them I’m on a lunch break of 1 hour, so I can’t wait that long. They said only 10 minutes which is not the best but ok I wait. 22 minutes later I am still waiting with no update as to when I would be taken care of. I had to request a return of my deposit. The owner called me shortly thereafter and stated that I waited because I only requested a certain individual to work on me which is absolutely false. My only request was not to give me the same person that had ruined the basic mani and pedi at my previous appointment. Also, my observations with their covid safety measures are questionable. Think twice before booking an appointment here.

Originally when this shop first opened, it was beautiful. ambiance was bright, employees were skilled and professional, and appointments were respected. However, the shop seems to be falling apart, with what seems like little to no concern from the owner.Ive been coming to this shop since they opened. Ive gone through 4-5 nail techs because the turnover rate is so high, and Im now unfamiliar with most of the employees.I am very disappointed with the service at SoYo, and I how I was treated today. I had a cut on my finger and simply asked that it not be dipped in acetone. Veronica was doing my nails. Her attitude and demeanor was very unprofessional. I didnt disrespect her in anyway. I just asked that she stop putting acetone on my wound. She started speaking in Spanish, which I couldnt comprehend and I asked her to speak English. she then got up and refused to finish servicing me.When I spoke to the owner, Jenna, she suggested I take a break from the shop was saddening and a little offensive to me. She mentioned a previous discrepancy that a friend of mine had, which had NOTHING to do with Veronica.The biggest reason Im upset is because Ive been a loyal customer to SoYo, since the shop opened. Ive even brought more business to the shop, by referring friends. I continued to come to the shop, even when my preferred nail techs relocated. The shop has dwindled from bright and fun to dank and unprofessional staff. Very disappointed, especially with the owners response after being a loyal client.

My best friends decided to make an appointment for three of us to get new sets this morning for my birthday - they booked it a week and a half in advance. We show up this morning and to our surprise we were told by Maria we needed to wait at least an hour because everyone was busy, there was a class in session and a bunch of other excuses...the best she could do was book another time for usto come back in. Not only did we drive 45 minutes to get here but why take appointments if you’re not going to honor them? Extremely disappointed and will not be coming back. Not to mention they have terrible ventilation.

I’ve been getting my nails done with Britt for about 5 years now & I will follow her anywhere. She is the best in Yonkers. My nails last for more than two weeks even when I get rhinestones. I always get compliments on my nails everywhere I go. Britt is a true artist

Noremi. Was able to do exactly what I wanted. No complaints and was very gentle. My mom only goes to her and now so will I. Very clean environment and great vibes. Noremi will be my new nail tech. Loyalty to her begins now after having a great visit.

Was not impressed. The nail tech Veronica was rude and not helpful my first time cmng to soyo. Explain what wanted but she said it can only be done on long nails. Feel if she couldn’t do it just say it and let me be with someone else. I type on a computer constantly all day so can’t have long nails and not my style anyway! She kept talking and stopping and saying she wants to be home and hungry. The nails looks like I did them myself nothing special. If it was not for Julianna being kind to me while doing my pedi soyo would of lost a customer. Plans to speak to manager too about this customer service.

Horrible customer service! Walked in establishment looked around and then I was looking at the menu no one greeted me not even the manager who was actually the greeter at the front desk! Called the nail salon and requested a manager, I then explained my concern and manager stated “ was I supposed to jump out of my seat to say hello to you?” Wow!!! You need consumer money not me! You are a new business in downtown Yonkers! How about you work on your business making money and respecting customers! I would love for the owner to contact me! A business like this will not work in a area of hard working educated clientele!!!!

One of the best things about SoYo Nails is the decor. This is a really cute salon. It definitely makes you feel like youre about to get pampered. The service, surprisingly, is just OK. I remember my technician being really gentle and careful at times- like when she was trimming my cuticles and filing my nails. At other times, she was a bit careless-like when she was applying my polish while carrying on a full blown conversation with another tech who was just hanging around. I just wanted to relax and get a nice manicure. No one tried to sell me a DVD, but no one offered me water either. My nails were OK. Meh.

Worst nail salon ever. Made a appointment for 1130am on a Tuesday and they called at 11 said no one showed up to work. Made me a appointment for the following day at 2pm. I walked in everyone in salon looked at me so rude and lady behind desk too 5 minutes to even acknowledge me. Said I had to wait at least 2-3 hours because other people were waiting and my appointment meant nothing. I would never recommend this salon to anyone!

Very nice looking place, everything else stinks! I visited this nail salon in hopes I can finally find a decent salon. This is far from it. I never write reviews, but stay away from soyo unless you want to leave feeling robbed of your money and time. Ashanti did my nails while they look lovely her attitude was very rude.I sent a picture through Instagram and was booked with her, yet when I get there I was told she can’t do the design because she didn’t know how to draw it, and because it was “ugly”. Really? I’m a customer, these are my nails. My whole appointment was her yanking on my arm, eye rolls, and scoffs. My appointment was rushed because she wanted to smoke, yet i had been waiting to get my nails done for almost two hours, with an appointment. Technicians bad mouthed owner, Jenna. Why are these girls being allowed to run a shop!?

The nail tech that see is Amazing. Lijah is very gifted as are many of the young ladies that work there. HOWEVER, the management could use a drastic upgrade. The level of unprofessionaliam is unlike anything Ive ever seen. The use of foul language and profanity is ridiculous. The outward discussion of pricing is shameful. A business is a business and should be run that way. Though they have immense talent I can see this place run into the ground quickly.

This was my first time going and it was amazing Oneeka was such a dope tech her nail shaping was so on point get conversation ; great price point the nail salon is super clean great music playing ... very relaxing only thing missing was a margarita... I will be back !! For sure with my mom and sisters... thank you Soyo Nails 💅🏽 #SLAY

Terrible customer service. Friends and I booked an appointment days in advance and when the day came we were told oh I dont have anything, oh wait you called last night right? We told her no, we made reservations more than a week ago. Maria was the one we made reservations with and she also told us that we had to wait 30 mins then a few minutes later told us that we had to wait an hour. We reminded her of our reservations and she just well I had walk ins that I couldnt say no to and other excuses. My friends and I ended up leaving. This nail salon place also had terrible ventilation. Will never go back or recommend this place to others.
