I’ve been coming to this salon for years now and I have never had a better experience at any other salon than I have had here. They have always been kind and courteous towards me and other patrons. They are appointment only which makes it more convenient for them to take the time necessary to give you the best service. It’s not over booked or crowded which is great because they take their time and make sure you get exactly what you want. I’ve never been disappointed in their work and receive compliments on my nails on a daily basis. I highly recommend them to anyone who notices my nails and asks! They are WONDERFUL.

I just moved here and absolutely love this place! I’ve been cared for by both technicians and they both are kind, professional and talented! Plus the shop is clean and beautiful, and they have a ton of colors for dip powder! Thank you!

I have been here before for a shellac pedicure and had a great experience. The husband of the couple who runs the salon is very kind and interactive with customers. However today I walked in and asked if they had time for a pedicure and I was dramatically waved off by the wife. And when I say dramatically, she was literally waving her arms in the air and yelling at me across the salon. I understand language barriers and I’m so glad they have enough business to be booked for the entire day by kindness goes a LONG way. I promise I won’t be giving them my business or recommending them to anyone in the future.

The female owner will never let you come back if you no show or cancel an appointment on short notice. I went to these guys for YEARS-like 3 or 4 because they really do excellent work. I had a baby and moved 20 minutes away from the salon & accidentally no showed my appointment in our moving process. This was 3 years ago. I called today to make an appointment thinking maybe they will let me schedule-NOPE, they save your phone number in their business cell phone. Pretty sad really-they turn every walk in away-I’m sure someone took my appointment no problem.

What an absolutely amazing place! The staff is super friendly and kind, the place is clean and beautiful and my nails look better than any salon Ive been to in years! I cannot say enough nice things about this nail salon! It is definitely my nail salon from now on!

Rude. Witnessed multiple hang ups on customers. Talked bad about customers after they called to other customers. Charged and took money while walking alway without acknowledgement. Witnessed poor hygiene and cleanliness of salon.

They did a great job the owners welcomed me and my sister but during the time we went for our last appointment but she was really rough and while I was making an appointment of course she was busy they always had customers in but she was rude on the phone. I asked her if she had time since I had to go to a party tomorrow and I wanted my nails to look nice but she just said no goodbye but before anything I asked if she has time for the next day and still she said no we’re full hung up immediately. But my sister called for the appointment and she was really sweet to her.

Appointment only, but usually no problem getting in same day. Wonderful people. Friendly. Always have something new to try. Quality work too.

I have never written a review in my life but I just couldn’t believe this lol..I used to love coming here. I called today to see if Walk ins were still acceptable. He said no, goodbye I said wait wait I would like to make an appointment he said OK what time? I said about six. He said OK goodbye and I said wait do you need my name? He said I already have your name lady! Like he sounded so irritated to even talk to me for two seconds! Yes, I understand he was probably busy but come on...I hope they can survive on the people who really love them or change the way they handle making people feel welcome to simply make an appointment there.I then called Nails and Spa on Summitview she sounded busy but not too busy to talk to me for literally 15 seconds! She answered my questions and got me an appointment.

I called to set an appointment. And they dont provide services for males. We just wanted a manicure.

Star Nails owners were great. I called in last minute on the morning of Dec 24th and schedule an appt for gel nails and pedicure and they got me in. I got there and the salon was very clean. They had hand sanitizer as soon as you walked in and at the counter. I was in and out... was great.

From a personally perspective I know for a fact star nails is one of the most Genuine places to do your nails in Yakima genuine places to do your nails in Yakima. I see many comments towards the female owner of the place and the attitude in which many proclaim she has however as someone who knows her personally, I know that she struggles with English and isn’t fluent and so to see comments of her talking inappropriately or miss using her words is a false statement. You must understand if you are ever asked to leave or if they can no longer service you, it is you who is at fault for not doing your part as the customer.

I love this place. The owners are awesome and they be sure you love your nails before you Leave. They are by far the best nail salon Ive been to yet. And when I cant find a babysitter for my little ones the are always so kid friendly.! Be sure to make an appointment or its hard to get in :)

This place does a amazing job! I have been approx 10 times to get my nails done by powder dip and have been nothing but happy with the results each time. I recommend my friends come here constantly.

My daughter woke up and leaned over to me asked me if we could get our nails done! Sometimes I dread this because they act like she is a bother! Even tho she acts really good! After being treated poorly as soon as we walked in the door at other nail salons I finally called star nail! They were extremely nice to my daughter and I! We both got our toes and nails done they treated her like a princess witch is what I wanted! Her nails and my nails turned out amazing this will definitely be our spot for now on!

I call and make my appointments every 2 weeks! I love this place and they are so children friendly yo my 4 and 5 year old... And yes if you are not watching your child and letting them do whatever.. they as a business have the right to turn you away and they do have a sign that says watch your children!

The female owner is EXTREMELY rude, I missed my appointment due to an emergency. When I called today to make another appointment and apologize for missing my appointment yesterday she went off on me and said some pretty rude nasty things and then said she would never do my nails again and hung up. Oh well her loss. I would not recommend Stars Nails to anyone.

WORST NAIL SALON EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Would not recommend to anyone. My appointment was at 10 am they were a little over 10 min late and then she rushed me to pick my color, constantly asking every few seconds which one I wanted, so I finally chose one. Then she painted a few nails on one hand and the color DID NOT match whatsoever. She said the color will never match the example nail. Which made me a little unhappy to have to pay for a color I didnt like. So I asked if I could switch it maybe. Then she wiped the polish off and got up and didnt want to do my nails anymore. Completely unprofessional and rude! So I went to K nails and spa and they did a tremendous job and even helped me pick my color! Super friendly and lovely people. And the color I chose there came out just the way I wanted.

I almost dont want to share this secret! A coworker recommended Star Nails to me and now I dont go anywhere else! They are great. The place is clean, they actually honor appointments and if you come when they cant serve you, they let you know and dont make you wait. Some people dont like that, but I appreciate the honesty and it makes me book ahead of time. As a busy mom, knowing that I my appointment time is honored is so great. My shellac manicures often last for 3 weeks, and the pedicures always include a paraffin wrap - heavenly!

The best place for dip nails.

They only do by appointment my birthday is next week and I decided to walk in and ask and she gladly took me in. The way she did my nails was amazing, she took her time cleaned it when she needed to and cut the cuticle most places you go to they don’t do that unless you get a mani and I was getting a fill.The pedis are good ! All the other places I’ve been too they usually take 10 min to give you the pedi including the color.The pedis here are one of a kind.I recommend this placeAlso if you have broken toe nails and you want to get them to look like cute natural ones just let them know here they will put acrylic directly on your toe nail at other places it’s a fake nail then acrylic but I prefer it as they do it here. and then they put wax on my foot !! It was amazing

WORST PLACE EVER!!! I went in w three other people plus a 2 year old... They started working on my friends nails... An hour passed n they told me that they were not going to do our nails because we had a child w us.. Really?! They should have a sign outside saying no children allowed.. Discrimination against children.. Dont give these people business when they treat people like that.. Please pass this on.. The guy even started arguing w me.. WORST PLACE EVER!!!

BEST PLACE IN YAKIMA!! These guys are my absolute favorite-hands down the best customer service out of any nail salon I have tried. Furthermore, the quality of their work is 2nd to none. My shellac pedicures last up to 2 months. They also have a new method that is NOT SHELLAC but lasts on fingers up to 4 weeks. I had my wedding nails done here and couldnt of been happier. Great at manicures and pedicures!! Friendly staff (husband and wife). I have learned the hard way that this is the ONLY place I will spend my money for a professional manicurist.

Im not someone to leave a review but I went in yesterday to get shellac and a pedicure, the male owner was apparently in a sour mood. He had cut my pinky toe and I said ow your hurting me. He didnt even acknowledge me or say sorry. So I asked him if he was in a bad mood and he said yes I am I said well I Im sorry that your in a bad mood but it is not my fault he laughed and said well Im sick.I understand that being sick really sucks but it was not my fault that he was in a bad mood or sick. The next day two of the rhinestones had fallen of my ring finger and called to ask if I could get them back on and the lady answered rude and said no at first and then said she could. when I went in, she didnt at first want to put the rhinestones back on she wanted to just put glitter and I told her no and she said well if they fall off again Im not putting them back on. Ive gone with them before in the past and never have they been like that. I just know that I am never going back.

Im only taking appointment for today and tomorrow like what? I cant make an appointment 2 days in advance? Dumb. Whatever i didnt want to give you my money anyways.

Very bad experience, the woman was very rude. I walked in and made a apt for 1:30 I come in at 1:20 she tells me my apt was at 1:40 when I specifically heard her say 1:30 I told her no u said 1:30 to me and she said no come back 1:40 and turned her back on me so I walk out and come back at 1:40 and she says she cancelled my apt. This is by far the worse customer service I have ever received. I would never go to this place again.

The work they do for my shallac nail last so long! It doesnt peal, its not globby and they give my nail the best shape:) my favorite thing about the place is that they keep appointments. They dont just accept walk-in if someone is scheduled... Other places in town just want to make a dollar and forget to keep appointments. I have now had 3 pedis as well and I love how it turns out! Soft feet and nice nails! And i cant say ebough about my eyebrows:) love love love the shape!!!!Also note they do have a sign inviting kids but they expect parents to attend to there kids. If you have a problem being a good parent and showing your kids proper manners then it sounds like you have the problem. They are trying to run a business, not a day care. I recommend this place 100%!

Terrible! Had acrylics done and a fill. The original set was extremely thick but the fill I had after was worse. He made them extremely thin to where part of the thumb nail broke off within a few days and another fell off completely a couple days after. Same guy both times. He was in an obvious rush to get me done even though I was the only person in there both times. Also, the woman that painted my nails the second time did a worse job than my 3 year old daughter! I have had acrylics for years off and on but I have never had these problems! I will NEVER go back!

Went in for a full set. girl glued 2 on crooked. I told her and she said ya I know. so I was thinking she would fix it but no. she asked if I liked them I said no they are uneven and crooked. she again told me it was me not the nails. im 48 years old, I know if a damn nail is on crooked! guy come and paints them and leaves like a quarter inch near the cuticles unpainted so it looks like its a week grown out already.then just gets up and leaves. so girl comes back and has me sit under the dryer. I could have got better at a beauty school! awful experience. do not recommend and wont go back. im off to try and file my nails straight. sheesh
