After the third session, I could tell that my therapist did not trust me (based on remarks she made) and in turn I stopped trusting her.During one of my visits I heard an employee in the back, in a loud tone, say I dont want to be her therapist! Or something to that effect. Im not sure who she was referring to, specifically. It however, was inappropriate and unprofessional. I felt emotionally unsafe upon arriving to my visits. My experience at this facility reminds me that therapists, psychologists, and counselors are just human beings. And some of them are not fully equipped to help you.
Making an appointment is impossible. The receptionist had set up a time that wasnt even available (7pm), and didnt tell us there was initial paperwork to complete. I decided to give them another chance and called back the next day. I was hung up on, called again, put on hold for 10 or more minutes, then was told they didnt have time to set up my appointment now but would be called back. Needless to say I never got a call back.
Fantastic therapists. They took a team approach in tackling the entire scope of what I needed, which at the time included relationship counseling with my partner, and individual work focusing on ART and psychosomatic therapy.FYI - they are now called Natalis Psychology. I have continued with the psychosomatic therapy, which I highly recommend because it is a unique therapy focusing on paying attention to, and connecting (or re-connecting) your physical sensations with your emotions. This helps you identify an oncoming emotion from your physical sensation first, which then allows you to become proactive in how you express the emotion, instead of being reactive and feeling like your emotions are controlling you. I can’t imagine a single person that wouldn’t benefit from this, because I’m sure everyone has experienced that moment when you feel out of control because your emotions are going haywire and driving your behavior.I was previously unaware of this type of therapy, so I wanted to share in case it could help anyone else who can identify with what I described.
Good luck setting an appointment at this place. Booked an appointment and then was called the next day and told that was not available and the person who answered was new. I have now called 4 times and left messages but no response back. Apparently nobody works their front desk and you must listen to 3 mins of prerecorded messages just to leave a message nobody will bother responding to.
We had one of their therapist hang up on our 10 year old daughter because she didnt like what she said. We called a supervisor and never heard back. I dont care who you are but if you are working with children you dont do that. Never never never recommend them to anyone.
Anna has been absolutely amazing, along with the rest of the staff. Im so happy with my decision to start coming here to begin my journey to a healthier mind.
Really research when you are looking for a couples counselor. We had Bonnie and she didn’t give us any tools until we asked. She chooses sides also. She was just awful. Do not recommend.
