We had Brennans install a complete system with AC, furnace and gas hot water heater. We researched before deciding on this company and was very impressed that I was able to talk to the owner throughout the process. He made me feel like my particular concerns and questions were important and I like dealing that way.Our salesperson John was very professional and thorough. We were able to have the complete system installed just over a week and everything was ready for us. Our technicians Eddie and Marty were great! They were profession, pleasant and efficient. They answered all of our questions and explained the system to us. They came in with drop cloths to protect our floors and went right to work. Afterwards they cleaned everything up and had to finish up in a rain storm.We are very pleased with the entire process and hope to have many years of service in the future.Because of Michael Brennan being so available, I feel certain we made the right decision to go with this company vs. a big company that does not appear to be customer friendly.

We have used Brennans for years for both radiator heating and AC and it has never disappointed. Most recently, our Carrier AC quit in the middle of the night and within hours of our call in the morning, Brennans technician Ric came out, diagnosed the problem, and replaced our air handlers blower motor, which had given out. Kudos to Ric, who as usual was very professional, courteous, and made sure we understood what the problem was, what our options were, and how to operate our remote programmable thermostat.

Rick was right on time. The HVAC service was fantastic. He went above and beyond by measuring the house humidity levels and finding possible leaks. Rick has always done a great job. Highly recommend Brennan’s and Rick in particular.

11.5 years ago we bought a carrier infinity heat pump system from Brennans. Install was rocky and had to be redone. And when 5 years old the unit became unreliable, failing on average every 6 months. Brennan’s never seemed to take this seriously and never resolved the issues. I got a lot of that’s not a problem or no trouble found. Yet I was without AC for 4 hours or longer. I have given up on them and Carrier. A new system is being installed today from a different company and brand. Very disappointed Be ware.

Technician called prior to arrival to confirm he was on the way and arrived on time. Visit was thorough and we were provided lots of valuable info regarding our HVAC system.

The technician came on time and did a thorough job inspecting our heating and air condition system for the summer. This is our second year with Brennans and were very happy with going with them.

We had an awesome experience with Brennans. Really! We got really tired of the sales spiels from other companies who were ready to overhaul everything possible on our HVAC, and they were generally just expensive. All we wanted was a new furnace and something simple. Then, Aaron from Brennans walked in and we became believers that good service still exists. The decision with whom to go after that was easy. [UPDATE] After intervention by the owner to address some early problems, I have significantly upgraded my view of Brennans. I would definitely reach out to them for future HVAC needs.It took a number of visits for Brennans fully resolve an issue with our furnace. Although I wish they had done a little more diagnostic work early on, I appreciate that these systems are complicated and that they were trying the cheapest solutions first.A customer service issue prompted the owner to get involved. He was extremely helpful and our furnace was quickly fixed.

Brennans installed and continue to maintain the heating and air conditioning system in our 70 year old brick colonial in Alexandria. First I wanna say Brennan’s was amazing and my heating tech Adam Brown was so nice and treated my house like it was his. This company was great from beginning to end and will definitely be back. From there welcoming easy appointment setup with there receptionist to the manager Joe English taking good care of sending me the right tech for my issue. Adam fixed me right up quick an easy and didn’t try at all to sell me anything unnecessary. He tackled the problem and only and charged me appropriately for the problem.

We had a service contract with another Carrier-certified company who we were not pleased with their customer engagement - seemed more focused on incremental sales vs taking care of the heating/cooling system.Our first visit by a Brennan’s service technician (Adam) confirmed we had made a GREAT choice to change from our prior provider. Adam was on time, very professional and quite engaging with regards to our system and maintenance. He thoroughly reviewed our system, performed maintenance and informed us of things to watch for going forward. Most importantly he quickly built trust with us based on his findings related to missed maintenance activities the prior provider should have completed.We signed up for an annual maintenance agreement on the spot and are looking forward to years to come of professional and reliable heating and cooling service from Brennan’s.

Just choose them!I had problems. I knew the problems were likely to come soon and lead to replacement of systems in my home. I had ancient systems in my home that were no longer to code. They got by but didnt do the full job. You know...eh dont want to replace those just yet... Lets get one more year out of it... That kinda thinking...Brennans were comparable in price when I checked, but stood out in the service area. They blew me away when I called, and during and after the issue. I had zero problem reaching them. I called about 730am friday, after finding the heat off, pilot out, and a leak from the hot water heater ...I left a message with address. They called me back a few minutes later. They came out in under an hour, gave me straight advice and told me why I, for safety and comfort reasons, should not fix my furnace and hot water heater. They showed me the issues, and it was abundantly clear why I needed to replace. I felt no games or drive to replace before the end of life of the system. They just were clear that some of the parts on the furnace that were impaired/destroyed/missing they could not get anymore because its a 70 year old furnace. They dont make them like that anymore. They were clear about the structures and functions in the water heater and what the leak meant.Once I agreed and we worked out payment, they mustered resources, found a new system, and got moving faster than you could do a sit down breakfast! It took them from 8:30am to 6:30 pm to do the work and I left a key so I could do what I needed to, but stayed close to approve the work when they were done. These guys were great and I felt like the work and my home was in the hands of professionals whod do a great job.This is similar to my experience seven months earlier when my a/c unit died in April after 24 years of service.I like these guys. They got this done for me on no notice, on a Friday, made the parts basically materialize out of thin air, and had my house back to normal that night. I understand the basic safety features and am looking forward to having them back to help me care of it for years to come.Cannot thank them enough. They work hard and are really good at what they do.

Brian Cooper came out to service my AC unit for my annual service with Brennans. Brian is very professional and knowledgeable he even took a look at my water heater that I was having problems with and gave me a price on replacement. Which I am replacing with Brennans and Brian wasnt afraid of my dogs. I have been a customer of Brennans for 10 years and have been very happy with their service and all of their technicians. Ive been using Brennans for 15 years. They repaired a system in my old house several times before replacing it with a much more efficient system that cut my summer electric bills in half! No pressure and they didnt try to sell me system that was more then I needed. I was so happy with them I had them take care of my new house which was a big remodel with a large addition. They installed all new duct work and a two zone Carrier system that works great. The techs are always polite knowledgeable and friendly. I always get a call when a tech is on the way to my house for my twice annual inspection.

On Friday, our system malfunctioned (a day before we were hosting our daughters high school graduation party), and Brennans was able to repair it by the end of the day for a very fair price. Disappointed... my wife called today to get a quote for a central air. She was told that due to the COVID19 the were understaffed (understandable). Then they said that if I was not going to get the services NOW, I would have to wait until next Fall or even Spring 2021 because it was too hot for the workers to install equipment during the summer. I was told that they had to pass on providing me with the services...... I mean, we need the services for NOW (SUMMER? Right?). I still dont understand why we were denied the service. But never again...

We’ve used Brennan’s at our previous home as well as our current home, and they are nice, on time, and very thorough. Aaron services our home in Dumfries and he’s a heck of a nice guy and very knowledgeable. Great company! Highly recommend.

Signed up for maintenance contract with them. They did an install in the past and I was very impressed with the level of service and more importantly, their level of honesty. I highly recommend them. They gave me some recommendations for some additions but I never felt like it was a hard sell. Kudos to them for their great level of service.

I’ve used them several times in the past, and the service has been exactly what I’d expect. They weren’t exceptional, but they got the job done well. However, this morning, my experience was different. I woke up and my heat pump wasn’t running. Of course, I called Brennan’s again. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to schedule me for several days. This is, of course, perfectly understandable. What is not understandable is having the receptionist say that I am “wasting her time” when I express concern about possibly getting it fixed elsewhere sooner. Whether it is wasting your time is immaterial (and it very well is!); you never speak that way to a customer. There are plenty of contractors that can get the job done just as well as Brennan’s. Pay somebody that maintains a professional office staff that doesn’t treat you rudely. You are worth more than that.

When our AC went on the fritz, we had no idea who to call as our former AC people were no longer in business. We used Angies List, and selected Brennans based on reviews and proximity ... and we are so glad! From the contacts on the phone, to the sales rep, to the servicemen who came in and installed the new unit, everyone has been professional, courteous, and knowledgable. Mike and Donny worked all day long ... no wasted time ... and when they were finished installing the AC and the furnace, the humidifier and the dehumidifier, and the the UV lamp, everything was left in better condition than they found it. They were respectful of the house interior and just as particular about the work they did outside. They explained the workings of the new system before they left, in terms that we could understand ... it was a totally positive experience! And we are enjoying the quiet efficiency of our new unit!

Granted the problem wasnt solved at the first service appointment, but he came back and took the time to resolve the issue. I wasnt charged a second service fee. Brennen’s is wonderful! The motor in our furnace quit and a new one had to be ordered - it was a very cold night for us but Brennen’s came the next day - I don’t know how they got the part so fast but they did and researched that my furnace was still under warranty so the bill to have them fix it was hardly any thing at all. We had two technicians- on who immediately identified the problem and the one that installed the motor - both were so professional and friendly- I just cannot say enough good things about Brennen’s - what they charged me was amazing - but only because they checked about it being under warranty/ Brennen’s Rocks!!!

I recently had occasion to request an air flow evaluation from Brennans due to the uneven distribution of cool air from the A/C system at my residence. Technician Gary Cronin essentially did a room to room survey of the situation, made some adjustments to the existing system as well as several recommendations to enhance the overall efficiency of air flow. I was extremely pleased with Mr. Cronins knowledge and professionalismin completing the job. His comprehensive evaluation and ability to describe the fixes to the problem in understandable terms is most appreciated. I would highly recommend Mr. Cronin and Brennans overall in addressing A/C and heating needs.

Gary is an excellent technician! He was thorough, polite and gave me comprehensive information so that I could make an informed decision about replacing my water heater. I have used Brennans for many years, and they have never let me down. I highly recommend them.

Gary was outstanding. I had a blower motor in my air handling unit give up the ghost and he was able to replace it under warranty in a short amount of time. He also took the time to explain to me how much longer my warranty on the original system was valid for as well as inform me about what to do if there were any future problems. This is the second time Gary has been out to my house to work on our HVAC systems and he has been great to work with. Highly recommend him and Brennan’s.

Gary came by to do a seasonal preventive maintenance. He was very thorough. The heat pump only needed a few minor, routine things and is ready for the heating season. He also advised me how to get better performance from the attached humidifier.

UPDATE: I had a bad capacitor and Aaron came out quickly, provided honest and straight forward information and opinions, and proved again that Brennans is the company to trust. Summer in DC suburbs are brutal. Everyone who lives here knows it. Now to come home and find that your a/c isnt working...double trouble with kids and wife. So I placed a call after trying see what might be wrong with the system. Figured Brennans installed the furnace and outdoor unit, why not have them service it. It was a late call, almost 9pm. Their tech (Rick) called back ASAP, told us it would be at least an hour before he could be out to us. Im glad I said yes to waiting. Top notch customer service, highly trained, very efficient and gave us a few tips with our system to have it run more efficiently. Will definitely recommend their service to anyone in the DMV.

Weve been so happy with Brennans that I recently called and spoke with Mr. Brennan (the owner) to compliment he and his team and to plead with him not to sell his company.This particular service call for a leaking humidifier on our air conditioning unit turned out to be a loose water evaporation filter that the technician was not only able to diagnose and fix quickly, but he also identified a simple remedy to prevent it from happening again. Technician (Gary) did an excellent air conditioning checkup on our equipment, including reviewing with me the thermostat, register, and fan settings and making suggestions how these could be modified to affect comfort. He answered all my questions and also reviewed with me the existing warranty provisions of our system. He gave me a written report on the status of our system today (no outstanding problems).I am highly satisfied with the service.

Gary, one of the technicians, just visited my house to check on our AC unit that had shut off over the weekend. He showed up right on time and spent several hours running diagnostics on our unit and drying everything off (we had some water in the drip pan). Not only is my AC back up and running (its 90 degrees right now!), but he walked me through some ways to do my own routine care for the unit in the summer as to avoid potential clogs and issues down the road. Very pleased with the service and thanks to Gary for sweating in my attic all morning so I no longer have to :)

Gary Crown performed the regular inspection/maintenance for winter and found no issues with unit. Gary did recognize a possible issue with the breaker in the panel. Temperature for breaker higher than normal. Brennans gave a strong recommendation of company to inspect/fix breaker.

From Patrick who took my initial call, to Jennifer who let me know the tech. was on their way, to Kelley who scheduled my duct cleaning, to Joe who called to let me know my furnace part was in (less than 12 hours after tech ordered it) and set the time to install it. Everyone that I spoke to at Brennans were on their A game. The technician Gary was above excellent in all respects - I guess the category would be super excellent. My furnace is 14 years old and it wasnt running that well and barely limped thru the 0 degree weekend of Jan5-8. I called Patrick at 4:15 pm on Monday, Jan 8. He scheduled me for Tuesday, Jan 9, between 8-12 noon. Said he could pass on to me the fall maintenance cleaning and inspection to save me a few bucks on the visit even though this was pretty much an emergency call in my mind. Gary arrived at 8:15 am on Jan 9 to diagnose and fix the myriad of problems that plagued my furnace. He easily could have temporarily put it back together at 4-5 pm to return the next day to finish the job but he told me that this was his job and he doesnt leave until the job is finished. He finished at 8:16 pm. Needless to say, every component and every system was brought to spec. and it is running like brand new, just how it ran 14 years ago. Plus, my house and my basement were as clean as they were before and after Gary. Not bad for cleaning a-coils, fan motor, installed new whole house humidifier with new water line, etc... I felt as if I was the only customer that Brennans ever had. In this day and age when most businesses really dont have a clue what customer service is and to cold call any business, you may get lucky and get one maybe two people to be on the ball and treat you like a customer. At Brennans, luck has nothing to do with it. I interfaced with too many Brennans employees to be just luck. They understand completely that the customer is at the center of their business. This is one company that when they say their customers are their number one priority you can believe it!

Came home from vacay to find my AC not working. Brennan answered my call for help after normal business hours. Serviceman Gary Cronin came out and fixed it right quick. He also gave me some pointers on proper AC system use. I would call them again if needed.

Adam, came out and serviced our 18 yr old outside unit and got it up and running like new in no time at all. Leave it to Brennans to take care of you. Our system broke in the middle of the night I submitted my information for someone to call by 7:50am some had called and scheduled our appointment for the same day. Adam was friendly, wore slippers in our house, informed me about what was wrong, gave some tips on how to keep the house cool. The cost was economic, some called right before he arrived to let me know he was coming. It was a great experience. I now have ac again and its been less than 24hrs that all this took place. I recently did a 2 zone whole house AC & heating system upgrade with Brennan AC.I am very happy with their service and all the follow ups. My house is around 14 years old - it came with the POS builder grade York heating & AC units. The original system was on its last leg. I called around and got 5 quotes from all the local Carrier dealers. Brennan was the lowest quote. We ended up getting a complete Carrier system with new wireless thermostats. The installation was done very neatly and professionally. I am very happy with the new system. I highly recommend Brennan, they do good work and they follow up on service calls.

Best HVAC servicing company in the area. They have been servicing our old HVAC system and we also chose them to install the new system. Their technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. They left our house and backyard clean and orderly, as if nothing happened, when changing the HVAC. They are also quick to respond and schedule appointments. Our AC stopped working in the evening after the business hours. I called them and left a voice mail. They called me back at 7am the next morning and problem fixed by 10 am on the same day. Cant be happier with Brennans and would recommend them to everyone.

First of all, I am Stephen C. Jones; Jenna is my daughter. Our Heating and Air Conditioning system was analyzed by one of Brennans outstanding system technicians. The work was done quickly and completely, without any sales pitch or any other annoying rhetoric not specifically related to the task at hand. The technician was an expert at his craft and was completely willing to explain everything he was doing. We had a problem that had been with us for several years, not getting air conditioning/heating up to the 2nd floor. After I explained the issue, the technician had it corrected and explained to me, without condescension, in no more than 3 minutes. Bravo, well done! Customer for life here!

My AC stopped working and after doing all the troubleshooting I could on my own, I scheduled a service visit with Brennans. Kelly, in the office, was able to get me a visit scheduled for the very next day. She also was more than willing to give me a phone call notice when the technician was enroute so that I could leave the air conditioned library where I was hanging out with my kids. Gary was the technician who showed up the next day. He listened to my description of the problem and quickly found the culprit in the system. He even took the time to show me the bad part and explain why. While taking temperature measurements in the house, he then spent about 10 minutes explaining things I could do to maximize the efficiency of the system. Every time he came in the house he wore boot covers and was very conscientious of keeping the house clean. Its never fun to have your AC system stop working but I 100% trust the evaluation and workmanship that Brennans provided.

We have had leak problems from our furnace numerous times. Gary is the first person to resolve a number of issues that were contributing to the leaks. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and communicated the work being done. We will ONLY use Gary from now on!
