Weve been with Fawcett Energy since they acquired Noars Oil. Ive been very satisfied with their timely oil deliveries, competent & friendly service technicians and purchase options (pre-pay, lock in & pay as you go). I recently called to schedule furnace service and was pleasantly surprised when a brief recording from Bob Fawcett answered, thanking me for the call, and then immediately transferred to a real person who scheduled my appointment. No press one for this, press two for that, leave a message, etc. I know I can oil for less elsewhere but I like the full service of Fawcett and their responsiveness.
Super shady company. Overcharged me 30$ first time I had them fill up my tank (I specified for a one-time fill up) and I had to call and talk to sales to get the money reimbursed. Sales said it was just a mistake and they would of course reimburse me the difference. No problem. But then, a month later they automatically came and filled up my tank again, charging my credit card for a price of 40 cents higher per gallen than originally. I had not authorized any further deliveries or charges to my card. I had specified the first time that I only authorized the price originally quoted to me, and only for a one-time fill up. Charging my card without approval is downright criminal and I will be contesting the charge.

We recently had our oil storage tank replaced by Fawcett Energy. It was 66 years old and had started to leak. We have been a loyal customer of Fawcett since 1988. They have always provided the best service year in and year out. They have terrific people working for them, which really makes the difference.

I used them for 4 months. They started with some $25 coupons and their oil price was at market price which was around $2.50 a gallon. Okay I thought that’s reasonable and went with them. They set me up on automatic fill and by the 3rd fill up they jacked the price up to $3.50 a gallon without telling me. Market price at that time was about $2.60 a gallon. Almost criminal behavior in my book. How is that different than theft?Also, it took 3 calls by me to have the service manager Luis call me back to get my burner fixed. He quoted me $350 and said it was a couple hour job. Okay I thought that’s reasonable. The technician was here for about 50 minutes. Once again deception. This company only thinks of short term financial results without any care about having long term customers. BUYER BEWARE. Do NOT use. I wish I read these reviews before I responded to their mailer. They all are similar and after my experience I know with certainty that all these bad reviews are accurate.
There is no way to give a high enough recommendation to Fawcett Energy. Twice prior to finding them someone came out but they couldn’t fix the problem. It was literally freezing in the house, it was miserable and unbearable. Then I found Fawcett Fuel.There was no heat in the entire house, two vents lightly blowing warm air lightly with the heat on 76. There was no heat on the second floor at all, and none in the bathroom.Then Fawcett Energy sent out Dan McElroy. I have no idea how he figured this out. It involved adjustment of the entire heating system in the whole house. He is an expert and adjusted the way air blows through every vent in the whole house. Thanks to his expertise I can now sleep upstairs, and take a shower without being painfully cold when I have to get out. I can sit in the living room without three shirts on under two blankets.I never would have made it through the winter without Dan and Fawcett Fuel. I would not have possibly been able to stay in my own home!I highly recommend that you count on this company to address and fix even the most difficult of problems. Apparently, it’s not just fuel, but experts in heating and ventilation as well. Trust me you should turn to them to fix the issue quickly and properly.
Hands down the most thorough companies i have ever had, They are always on top on there maintenance with me. When ever i call in to discuss my account or for work to be done the Customer service dept is always extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have great deals and can work with customers if there are any issues. The techs that i have had are very down to earth and know what they are doing. I would suggest this company to anyone in an instant.
I have found them to be responsive, friendly, and responsible. I like the reminders to be serviced every year. It is always a shock to have to see the expense of the tanks being refilled, but I think that would happen with any company.
Hold on to your wallet if you have them do service for you; that is of course if you can even get them there. The service plan is a joke, covers nothing, but, you pay big bucks.Saying I had a water problem is a complete fabrication. If they came in a timely or even reasonable manner to provide the “free” annual cleaning there never would have been a problem. Buyer beware!
Called them to have my oil tank removed. They would only do it if I had a replacement installed. For removal only, they couldnt be bothered.
Ive been using this company for a while now. Had one issue were my card was charged twice but as soon as I called them they corrected it rite away and refunded my money. They were very nice and helpful mistakes happen and I couldnt be happier on how they handled it. Plus they are usually lower priced than most of the oil companies near me

Wow. I can’t even express how bad of a company this is. I rarely give reviews, but I feel the need to let people know about this horrible excuse for a company. They are rude, disrespectful, and completely overpriced. Ive tried multiple times to receive a simple answer on my account - with zero help or even a call back. I’ve met one of the owners at a fundraiser. Him & his wife were the most snobby & unfriendly people I’ve ever met! I’m very happy to say I’ve canceled with them... :)
Prices are tooo high not in market price and called for oil and had to call back cuz no one logged it, and then had to wait another 3 days oil was low by then and then they want to charge 150 emergency fee to get it sooner, Gigiere Marchand was better service, Good bye !
I used them for a brief period. Buyers beware of their automatic delivery program- the company charges FAR above the going rate for oil, then justifies it by including a service plan. It is usurious. For example, last year their own spot price was $2.17 a gallon (confirmed by phone from their sales dept) yet the previous day my delivery was charged at $2.899. Check your bills carefully, especially for the indignant or elderly. Otherwise, avoid.
UPDATE 3/1/2017 -- I talked with Fawcett again (it has been about 6 years since my initial problem with the company) and found out that the person who I originally talked with who caused the problems mentioned below has left the company. The person who I talked with more recently was very nice, and a good listener -- unlike my original incident she looked into the situation carefully and worked to correct the problem.Im adjusting my review because my recent experience was very different from the first, and because I have talked to additional people who had no negative experiences with the company and have been customers for many years.Im continuing to include my original review below in case others have had similar experiences -- however, they appear to have improved so Im adding a star (I would consider adding more stars if I had more experience with the company recently to compare).In 2011, the salesperson I talked to at the company had advertised a particular, very specific price -- then he refused to hold to the promises, despite me showing him two written advertisement of that specific rate! We signed up given those ads, and then when they actually did the first delivery they charged me a higher price per gallon. When I called to complain, they refused to give me the price advertised - they never corrected this. The email reply included the (untrue) statement: when a person calls to sign up with us. I always go over our discount program and tell them that you get .45 off per gallon on whatever our rate is for the day that you get the delivery and not the rate that is on the info. We send. We don’t know what the rate is going to be until the day of the delivery. . First, he did not say that when we talked, and second, he admitted via email that they advertise one rate and give you another.In 2017, I had a second experience with them -- they delivered to the wrong address and billed the wrong customer. However, they corrected this situation promptly and appropriately (giving both parties significant discounts and apologizing for the problem).Because of this, at two different times I was able to make price comparisons between Fawcett and another companies using delivered bills within a few weeks of each other -- at both times Fawcett was more expensive than their competitors by ~$0.30/gallon.
Very bad company, a lot of reasons (overpricing,poor cleaning,..).Im looking for a new company.

We signed up with Saulnier Oil in 2015, the trucks that deliver the oils say South Shore Oil, now we are being billed by Fawcett Energy. Im surprised and a bit worried by the negative reviews here. I have NO complaints about them and have not had to use the service in over a year. We found Saulnier when we fled Petro and their high prices and crappy customer service. I hope Fawcett does not go down that road.
The worse company you can ever do business with. Price gouging is a common pratice for this company.When the weather is bad they raise the prices, and allow your oil tank to run very very low! They will also do unscheduled deliveries. Beware they might be changing the name of the company to economy fuel. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
