Probably one of the absolute worst places Ive ever gone and gotten my nails done! And we tried 3 different people! The one older lady argued with me and my daughter the entire time she was getting her nails done on every single detail my daughter pointed out or just asked to have done! Everything was wrong or she couldnt do it or it was going going to look terrible, but if thats what my daughter wanted then she would do it. It was a horrible experience. I have never done this before but I was honestly ready to just tell my daughter to get up and just leave without having anything finished it was that bad! The guy that did my nails was not much better. Except for that he didnt argue with me about what or how I wanted my nails he just acted like he understood and then did what he wanted anyways. So needless to say I spent well over $100 and my 8 year old was the only one that was happy with what she had done. Simply because all she asked for was to have her own finger nails painted!!!So I would definitely NOT recommend these guys at all!!! The only reason we even tried them out was because they were convenient! We were at the mall and we didnt want to have to leave to get our nIls done! HUGE HUGE MISTAKE!

This was my first time going there. Alot of salons were closed, or closing early. I went to the salon Ive been going to for 19 years. I walked in about 5 after 4,and was told no more clients. There was no line, and it was mentioned they didnt need to make any more money. I searched, and found Golden Bail. I was taken immediately to a chair. All I was having done was a toe nail polish change. I was treated like I was spending a million dollars. I was extremely happy with EVERYTHING. I was now have a new nail salon.

The lady slapped the man in the head who was doing my pedicure. The water wasnt hot enough and I guess he didnt understand. The water was never hot enough and this was definitely the worst pedicure I ever had.

This is the worst acrylic fill I’ve ever received. And overpriced, especially for the quality. None of the nails are the same length, the acrylic is bumpy, and the polish is streaky. I also asked for them to be round....THAT IS NOT ROUND. But by the time the man had chopped down my nails, they were too short to round out and I did not want to sit there for another hour while he removed all of the acrylic and reapplied it. I was very vocal about what I wanted and what he was doing wrong, yet he continued to not care. He also burned the tip of my finger when he chopped the nail down with the electric file, or grinder, or whatever you call it. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. Go to Garden Nails on S. College where they are less expensive and MUCH higher quality.

I usually go to a nail salon right down the road from my house but they close at 7:30 so when I found out that Golden Nails, which is located in Independence Mall stays open until 9 so I decided to go there. I think they did a pretty decent job.

I have never noticed this nail salon till last week. It was empty and I forgot to check the reviews on Google. Anyways, the lady started to do pedicure and I checked on Google where I found that the rating is low( 2 starts), but I guessed to give them a chance.4 stars for the lady who made my manicure and pedicure.4 stars for the place, its clean.I did gel which supposed to last at least 2 weeks; unfortunately, it chipped the next day. I went back and the lady quickly fixed and she apologized.

Every time I go in here there is some sort of problem. The manager lady Jennifer is very argumentative. I once said, I’m not sure if I like this color, when she did my one hand, she immediately got loud and started arguing with me and said I was nothing but trouble. ...Yesterday, I went in and asked for a French manicure (with a color that matches my work uniform), as I never had one before, what I got was a “Hombre” style. When she did my small pinkie nail she did ask me if I liked it, I said yes. But when it was all over I thought oh wow. Not to mention, she CUT ALL MY NAILS SHORT and I never told her too. Knowing how argumentative she was, i figured I would just try short nails for a change. Jennifer did a nice job, just not what I ordered! Though, paid $50 plus a $10 tip, so $60 total. ... so the next day I come back in, I said I’m just not happy with paying $50+ for something I didn’t order and I felt my nails looked like a clown, and I want the French manicure as I stated yesterday. Plus tips to match the length before she clipped them. Jennifer loudly insisted she didn’t cut my nails and said I would have to pay $50 to get nails redone. All the while her being very loud and argumentative, as all the techs gathered up speaking a different language and then all argued with me, saying I was being rude, I was trouble and this isn’t how it works in there.I do not recommend and I will never go back!Pictures show “homebre” style, definitely not a French Manicure which is what I ordered and paid for

I came into this place to get an eyebrow wax. I have thick eyebrows and just wanted a quick clean up. She took off half my eyebrow and made them super thin. Then she saw my cross and used our shared religious views to guilt me into paying and tipping. When I got back to my car and realized what happened I went back and asked for my money back and they refused. I started crying. I felt so taken advantage of. They wouldn’t even give me the 12 dollars back. Do not go here. Not only are they rude, but they will make you feel bad.

I dealt with cross contamination and racial slurs while I was visiting this place. Not only do they use unclean utensils to do your nails but they also make racial slurs about white and black people. I will not ever go back.

It is a wonder that this place is still in business. Terrible communication. Terrible customer service. After a mediocre pedicure, the nail technician twice tried to shake me down for an increased tip .... really kind of appalling. Only go here if there are no other convenient options!

My friend and I haven’t seen each other for 13 years and decided to get our nails done. This was the first time for the both of us since covid19. My nail tech lady was on her phone the entire time. From the time I entered the salon to the time I left. I spent $50 dollars on nails When she told me they were going to be $45. They didn’t even prep my cuticles and clean my nails. They don’t look like $50 dollar nails. They look decent

Our experience was CHAOTIC from the very start. They descended on us and it was stressful immediately. They were either wearing their masks incorrectly or not at all. Three of them literally had a screaming match that lasted for 10 minutes. The quality of their work didn’t make up for the poor customer service either. Our nails still have dirt in them and the polish is streaky. I would NOT recommend this salon and we will not be coming back.

I went there for a wax and a manicure and a pedicure this Saturday and went back Sunday around 3:30 pm to show them what MIMI had done to my eyebrow. I was burned by the wax and told that it would heal in 3-4 days and turned away without a refund. She also randomly added that the woman was licensed, and I said I didnt say anything about her licenseI was also told to do whatever makes me comfortable after making her aware that I will be doing a google review. I was also over charged. While I thought I was going to enjoy my pedicure, I was absolutely wrong. They guy tony insisted on doing my nails at the same time which was a strain on my right arm due to it being stretched over me. I do not recommend this nail salon for any services. I would rate them with no stars.

Lied about being able todo what o asked for. Was very rude, not professional at all! Rushed my nail, and kept to get me to change my mind about what I wanted so she could charge me more, gave me a price before even checking to make sure she had the tools todo what I was requesting

They dont sanitize their nail tools between customers. Both times I got a pedicure i got fungal infections in toe nails.

The lady made me wait over an hour which she told me 20 minutes, then begin working on someone else nails. I will not be going back.

They over charge. Went in for a fill and the listed price was 25. They ended up charging me 40$ for a fill. And I just check my account and they actually charged me an extra 1.59. It’s not a lot, but enough to make me question their business ethics. And Annie was miserable. She def didn’t want to be there and didn’t smile or have a good attitude. She started doing my nails, but had such an attitude about doing my fill she let the guy next to her do it. I didn’t have a good experience. I won’t be back. Don’t waste your time or money.

The owner was horrible. She tried to force me to get the nail length and style that she wanted she made my nails too thick and wide even after I asked her to not do that she continued to file my nails by falling my skin around my nails on purpose. I absolutely would never go to that place again or recommend her. I had to go to another nail salon to get them to fix my nails.

I have gone to Golden nails for years and never had any problems. My eyebrows always look great and never hurt after, I have sensitive skin so this is important to me! I also had my nails done Saturday and Jennifer suggested I try a sparkle on my ring finger with the color I chose and I loved it! They really know what they are talking about and are super helpful! Honestly they give you exactly what you ask for and thats the best way to run a business!!

I do not recommend this place at all!! I walked into the store, the lady in the front asked me what I wanted. I told her I wanted to get acrylics, so she told me to go sit at the end chair. She never gave me any choices to look at nail color wise, they asked me what color I wanted. I told them light pink but I would like to see, never once got to see the color. The guy that was doing my nails started to do a gel manicure, I told him nicely that I asked for acrylics. He got very aggravated with me, and rushed to do my nails. I am NOT PLEASED. He also, cut my fingers multiple times with a tool he was using. Also, he told me $30.00, i paid $40.00 and i had to ask for my change back after about 10 minuites of waiting! This was my first time going there, I will never go back again! I do not recommend!!

The boss (Jennifer) there is very unpleasant. She is very rude to her employees. No good morning to the customers just went to her employees and started yelling at them in front of everybody. That is not professional at all.!!! Her employees are wonderful, kind, nice people.

Posting under my husbands name. This place is terrible. The older woman at the door asked me what I wanted and told me to pick a color. No one directed me where to sit so I stood and waited then figured the guy filling the foot soak would be doing my pedicure. He said not one word to me the entire time, I dont think he spoke English. The water was scalding and I told him so and picked my feet up out of the water. He kept motioning me to put them back then switched the water to completely cold. He filed my nails up and down instead of side to side and took some of my skin with it. He stabbed my cuticles so hard I pulled my foot away twice. He already looked like I was unconvincing him since I arrived, now he was ticked. He kept tapping the towel for me to put my foot up or down instead of motioning for me to do it. The massage of my feet/legs lasted about 30 seconds. He picked up my sandles and handed them to me to put on and painted my nails with clumpy polish that he didnt even paint to the edge of my nail. When he was done, he lifted the armrest to say get out of the chair. He cleaned up while I stood there. The light on the dryer was not on and did not come on once I stuck my feet under. He literally threw the pen on the table on front of me with the receipt. He said not one word the entire time, not just because of a language barrier. He look annoyed. Completely rude. Oh, and cell service in there is a dead spot, couldnt even play on my phone. Was supposed to be a treat, wish I would have just saved my money. Pathetic service, poor quality

They were nice but they are wayyy overpriced and do not spend their time. I got a fill in for my gel acrylics, it was messy. The gel was on the manicurist hands, my hands, and on my cuticles. She also hurt my cuticles a lot while filing.

Worst experience of my life. Everyone here is inexperienced and rude. Me and my friend came here this evening to get pedicures. We both were sat next to her and a man started working on her right away while I sat in water long enough for it to get cold twice. I asked a woman to warm it up both times. The woman who started on me stopped halfway through to take another customer and let another worker finish. He left all of this dead skin so I told him it was still rough three times and he said “no.” I could clearly feel the rough skin. A woman told me I needed to pay for the extra sugar scrub but I’ve never had to anywhere else. The first woman came back after she realized I was unhappy. At which point she painted my toes like a kindergartner. I was so upset I paid and even left a tip because she really did try. The problem was she didn’t have the skill to do her job.

They did me and my best friend nails great but after couple days my bestfriend nails was coming off and one my pinky nails was hurting so bad so i soak in nail remover to make it come off but my end result that my whole the nail came off.

This place is HORRIBLE!! The lady who did my nails was rough and I got shellac. I told them I didnt like them and they told me it was my fingers. No it was the nail tech. Not to mention I felt very uncomfortable when she started to ask me how long Ive been in the United States, and if Mexico is my home land. Dont go here!

Went here for the first time with my friend and i can say this place was terrible ! the lady was way to rough while putting my acrylics on and she even ripped one off and that hurt. The man would be almost breaking my fingers just to file them and not to mention how my nails look horrible. They are too thick and not what i asked for at all. Be careful, I came in with a wedding party..As soon as we walked in there was instant chaos. The technicians were clearly arguing, about God knows what, they were not speaking english.. Anyway I asked for a manicure with shellac and polish change on my toes, but no one wanted to take me, until I said I will get the complete pedicure, if there was a problem. I ended up with a male technician, I dont know what his problem was but he took it out on my feet..He actually, cut my toe, and lied when I asked him about ..he just tried to cover it up..My toe hurt for days after I left there, I could barely wear my shoes in the wedding...I will never return...Im seriously looking into having my husband investigate them..something not right..Disappointed...

The are always talking and keeping a great conversation so its a five star for me !!!

DO NOT GO HERE! Save your money! This was the worst experience I’ve ever had.. The nail tech filed my pinky nail so rough that it sliced my skin. It looked like the brushes she was using had not been cleaned. They had white crust on them. Three baby roaches ran across the table while she was painting my nails. I tried to leave but she did not want me to. I wasted $60 and have to go tomorrow to another nail salon to have them taken off before I get a fungus! I will be calling the health department first thing tomorrow. Totally unacceptable!!

I get my nails done here every 2 weeks. I always have Luyn do them. She is the best tech there and will make sure they are done to your satisfaction. Call ahead for an appointment or wait for her to be available. Its well worth the wait.

Ive been to this nail salon a few times before and Im never going back again. It seems like every time I go to this salon I always get stuck with the guy who sits in the back of the salon. He is very rude and acts as if he doesnt want to be there in the first place. And whenever he makes a mistake or mess up your nails he gets an attitude and takes it out on the customer by trying to jerk and pull on your hands rolling his eyes huffing and puffing and slamming things down just like today. He has a very nasty attitude. The customer service at this place is horrible, and I feel like if you really dont like your job that bad or like dealing with people just find another job dont take your frustration out on others. I wont be going back. I had them do acrylic nails with the gel. From my understanding it should last for 2 weeks. The thumb chipped the next say I went in with my receipt she fixed it. The following day another finger chipped. I just decided i wont go back. During the process the light underneath the table kept going go out she say take your hand out put it back under to activate the light. You know, if you move alot your risk messing your nails up.

My mother had an afternoon with my 7 year old daughter, and after shopping at the mall they stop in here for pedicures. Unfortunately my well-behaved and certainly not malicious daughter ACCIDENTALLY dropped a bottle of blue nail polish which splattered on the floor and chair, but mostly covered my daughter’s shoe and sock. My mother was quick to apologize and offer to pay to replace the bottle. The person who was working on the pedicures seemed irritated to have to clean up the mess, but did so and returned to the pedicures. Nearing the end of the experience a different lady came in and immediately started yelling at my mom saying “You made mistake. You did wrong. You will pay” My mother, keeping a calm voice in attempts to not upset the CHILD who accidentally dropped the bottle, responds to the lady that she’s sorry, she’d be happy to pay for it, but that if this woman’s blatant overreaction turned into making my young daughter cry, well then she’d have bigger issues than a measly broken nail polish bottle. This reaction was unnecessary and resulted in the employee who was performing the pedicures (who once was irritated) almost crying due to the lash out and what must’ve been deeply ugly communication in whatever language they were sharing together. Ridiculous.

April 12 2015, My original nail salon Venus nails was closed and I really wanted to get a fill in so I called this place and despite the bad reviews I decided to give it a try. I go in with a friend of mine and the woman tells me to take off my OWN nail polish.... Next when I tell her four of my nails were crooked she tells me, No, they look good. So she didnt fix it, and then when she was switching off between me and my friend she tells me to hurry up and pick a color because she has customers waiting. Extremely rude. Next she is painting my nails, she tells another customer to come sit down where my purse was, WHILE SHE WAS PAINTING MY NAILS. If you have done nails for over 30 years like she says, WHY would she tell me to pick up my purse while holding my wet nails in her hands??? I told her my nails were wet and she just stopped and stared at me like I offended her... So the customer kindly moves my purse for me.. then doesnt even finish painting my nails, starts doing the other girls nails when Im about to be done, at this point I am really not wanting to even wait there for my nails to dry, I have never felt so unwelcome, uncomfortable, and rushed in my life. I will not be wasting my money again.

Ive been here 4 times, and I will NEVER go back. Jen is wonderful but this time I got there a little before 8, was told to wait 5 minutes and sat there until 8:30. The man who did my nails was aggressive and rude the entire time. I needed a fill and a color change on my acrylics. He was so rough with my cuticles and fingers I yelled and yanked my hand away several times, which annoyed him visibly and he would mutter in Vietnamese under his breath. This wasnt even what made me upset about my visit though. I picked out a light pink and explained that I wanted basically a French manicure with glitter on the tips. He argued with me to the point that my boyfriend stepped in and tried to explain to him what I wanted. The man finally just agreed with me even though I had a feeling that this was going to get ugly. Ugly doesnt even describe what happened to my nails. Im literally embarrassed and anxiously awaiting getting this taken off and repainted. He started painting my nails a very bright hot pink, almost red even- despite me picking out a very light pink that is just darker than a French manicure pink. I tell him its the wrong color and he argues with me and yells at me for how long its taking. I got there over an hour before they closed, that is a very reasonable amount of time to accomplish what I wanted. Finally Im so frustrated with him I just let him finish painting my nails this crazy color because I want to leave and not sit there being berated by this guy. Then instead of glitter he puts on globs of silver nail polish ON TOP OF the 2 coats of crazy hot pink. After he does 3 layers of this silver polish I have a total of 5 layers of gel polish on my tips...... It dried bumpy and he got some of the silver polish all over the rest of my nails. I wish I could add a picture, I wanted something very classy and wedding manicure like, and I ended up with a globby hot pink and silver mess. Think 5 year old hand painted disaster meets Vegas stripper nails. The best part of my whole experience was being able to leave and get away from the rudest man Ive ever dealt with in a business. I paid $60 to go in here and get bullied into the worst manicure of my life. If you go in make sure Jennifer is there, unless youre hoping for a surprise color and extra helping of verbal abuse. I wish I could give zero stars. 😡

This place is a JOKE! Great location but everything else is horrible 🤦🏾‍♀️ First off this was my first and last time spending money in Golden nails. Before sitting down I asked the price for my services and was told that would be my price. I proceed and sit down to get nails done. In the middle of doing my nails I had to show a picture of the correct shape that I asked for after being told they knew how to do coffin nails. Then the owner or manger walks in fussing at me and the nail tech because he didnt charge enough for what I was getting. She then demanded me to pay that amount when that was not what was told to me before getting my services done. If I would have known it would be that much I would have went else where. On top of that the quality of the products they use are CHEAP but their pricing reflects the prices of great quality products 🤣. My nails havent been on for a week yet and they are chipping and breaking across my nail bed. The tech didnt put enough products on my nails making them look thin as if I went to a local store and brought plastic nails 🙄. I call up there and got yelled at like I just got suspended from school by the manager or owner Jennifer lol because its passed three days from the time i was in there according to her...how would she know what day I was in there when they dont give out receipts because they dont issue refunds. Ha ha please dont waste your hard earned money on HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, UNPROFESSIONALISM, CHEAP QUALITY PRODUCTS, POOR QUALITY WORK and LACK OF KNOWLEDGE on latest nail trends. Went in for pedicure. Will not go back there. Lady rushed thru everything and cut my cuticle so bad on one toe that it did not stop bleeding long enough for her to paint it !! I had to tell her not to put any polish on it because it would get in the cut ! Still hurts hours later and worried about infection after all the bad reviews! ! Regret going and should not have been charged for the pedicure! !

All i will say is that the tech told me “what you want is trash, it’s 2019 everyone want ombre.” No.... i wanted military green and a silver glitter ring finger (homecoming for my military boyfriend)... this is what i got white to pink ombré, teal and yellow swirls, with rinestones... she had my mother go buy her dinner, then proceeded to take 3 hours to do the worst nails I’ve ever seen, then ask for more money because she felt my nails needed the stones i didn’t want to begin with.

They are the worst I had been going there for about 4 weeks got my nails done about 3 times within this 4 weeks I was getting gel colors and they had my nails beautiful... well the day I walk in and can only afford reg polish is the day that man made my nails look so bad sent back for him to fix them well he made them look worse they are so bad with customers I highly recommend you go elsewhere!!!

Very disappointed in the owners lack of professionalism when one of her staff did my eye lashes while she was out out of town! It took over and hour for the manicurist to clump on the lashes when this is usually a ten minute process which made it obvious she wasnt experimenting and didnt usually do lashes! Within two days the lashes begin to fall off! I called Jennifer the unprofessional manager who told me to come in and she would fix them! I came the following week on Tuesday instead of Monday and she refused to fix my lashes even though one eye was completely off while the other eye was still clumped on! I even called before I drove an hour and when I got there she refused to fix my eyelashes! Golden Nails will never get my business EVER AGAIN and now I see why they have such BAD REVIEWS!

If I could give 0 stars I would!! I went in yesterday, April 25th for my birthday, I was taken care of immediately which was nice (there were no customers which does not surprise me now) I asked for a coffin shape nail no big deal. As I noticed when the guy was filing down my nails they were too short for my liking and was too sharp, nothing I had asked for. I kindly asked if we were able to fix them...I work in a restaurant when I am very hands on and did not want them to break. I have never asked someone to redo my nails before so I felt bad from the beginning. Who I assume was the owner started yelling at me saying youre too picky how do you expect anyone to ever do your nails and grabbing my hand and roughly pointing at things, I almost cried and walked out. The man doing my nails was super sweet and understanding, he was not the issue. He kindly redid my nails for me and apologized multiple times. The hateful lady started speaking in her language (honestly about me) and went to sit in the back, mind you as she is slamming stuff around. I had my boyfriend come sit in the salon with me because I felt so uncomfortable.Now for the man who did my nails, they look wonderful there are not complaints for him, however, my boyfriend and I were talking about what had happened, which Im sure the man was listening, I feel as though he slowly got annoyed because he stayed quite after that. Again, no big deal. UNTIL he clipped Im not kidding THE ENTIRE TOP CORNER of my pinkie off. I was gushing blood and he still continues to file on top of an open cut. Never said sorry and never cleaned it up. I got my nails done around 4 yesterday and my nail is still bleeding.I hope they understand that in CUSTOMER SERVICE you must be respectful if you want any sort of service!!!!!!! This was the worst experience I ever had in my life .... I took my wonderful hardworking mother out for a mother daughter pedicure and it was the worst experience . The water was cold and all they did was rinse the feet and do a polish change no extra work on the feet no sand scrub no nothing ... 60 dollars blown and in the trash...

This is the worst place ever I go in and the guy does my nails then they are all smudge because he dosent even check to see if there dry go back the next day and one lady says I mess them up on purpose which I didnt then when I get them painted the lady that does it dosent even paint it to the cuticle last time in coming here my suggestion is go to Tiffanys nails in leland they are so good and are not aggressive another note is the 2 ladies that were there the day I came were back again for the same problem uggg never going back where is there a zero rating option. 😤😡😠

The worst mani pedi ever! One lady tore off my toe nail while the other ruined my nails doing my manicure...if you can call it that! She kept telling me that she was doing a beautiful job on my cuticles, but I could have done better myself! Worst $80 I have ever spent!

Was skeptical because of some bad reviews but I had a great experience with an older gentlemen Phillip who was very sweet. Will go again.

I wish I read the review before I spent two hours (yes two hours) for the most painful and horrible mani/pedi of my life. The manicurist was a bully. She complained about management the entire time. Kept telling me this was the best manicure I ever had. It was so bad, I wanted to get out of there. I yelled out twice when she pulled my cuticles so much they bled. Never had me wash my hands before they were polished and insisted on doing them over the pedi chair even when I said I wanted them done at the manicure desk. They were peeling in less than one day. I was visiting my son at college but if I lived there, I would have done back and demanded my money back. Ive had hundreds of mani/pedis in my life and this is by far the worse. I am just relieved I didnt get an infection with all the cuts around AND under my nails from this horrible, pathetic excuse for a nail salon. DONT go here ever!

Great pedicure

Worst experience I’ve ever had. I have thin nails already and they insisted on using a drill to remove my nail polish... I let her know she was hurting me and she proceeded to apply acetone which burned even more. I was so uncomfortable I got up and left before she even finished removing the polish.

My foot hurried for two week never recommend no one to this place

Warning please do not ever go in this nail salon. They over charge and will do horrible work with an expensive price behind it and they wont correct there work either. By far the worst nail salon in Wilmington, NC.

Then switch to the guy felt like he was in a rush !he kept cutting my finger with electronic sander. He was very rude ! They dont take the time to do nails, my acrilic nails only lasted 3 days and they did not fill them up right, would not recommend money in the trash
