The hairstylist Misti has been my stylist for over 10 years. I consider her a Dr/Physician for the hair. When I first went to her several years ago my hair was in distress, the back was like a rats nest. She used a gentle color and used styles that helped my hair look healthier. My hair is thin and breaks easily. She was able to recommend products that protected my hair without weighing it down. She understands hair! She is amazing!!

Mistis haircuts are the best! For over 20 years I did not go to anyone else. I trust her. My hair is very fine, short to medium length and shes always advised well. Shes recently moved from Cary to Wilmingtons earthBOUND Salon. Still considering my options which include a trip there!

I recently relocated to the Wilmington area and was fortunate enough to find earthBOUND. Morgan was my stylist and provided me an array of services including airbrush tanning, waxing, and hair cut and color. She did the most AMAZING job on all 3! I just left this magical spot after a custom facial with Loan (pronounced LON). I don’t know what kind of sorcery she used on my face, but I have never been more relaxed and pampered in a matter of an hours time. My face feels and looks incredible. The scalp massage she provided was out of this world, like nothing I had experienced before. Loan also gave me some awesome tips in regards to Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach as I am just in town for the weekend. I wish I could see Loan on a monthly basis. She is a godsend and so good at what she does! Highly recommend and hope to be back one day.

I have searched Wilmington for two years now for a stylist to do my hair like Ive shown in pictures. I have had 8 stylists attempt, and butcher, my hair color. I visited with Morgan, and she did it! Platinum with some low-lights is finally what I have now! Go to her with your color needs! She also does an amazing job with eye lashes too! Shes personable and easy to talk to as well! I have been coming to Earthbound for a multitude of services over the span of 3 years and it has been my favorite place to pamper myself! I truly enjoyed the people here. I even made a second appointment. I went in for a wax and a cut. It was great until I got home and realized I had just paid 65+ for an incomplete wax, by the owner no less! I was left with a few tufts of hair as well as several areas of stubble. I was ready to return regularly and thought Id found my place but sadly it didnt happen. If you go in Id advise you to inspect any areas waxed BEFORE leaving. Otherwise youll be paying a lot of money just to have to either shave anyway, grow out awkwardly, or go somewhere else to get it done properly.

Shannon has transformed my hair and allowed me to feel better about me. Today, we did a Brazilian. It was my first one. I get my massages from them as well too. If you want a great place to go and relax and have a “ Me Day” then look no further this is the place to go!!

I was so excited to see Morgan today. My hair had gotten long and while I liked it, I was getting frustrated with it. Morgan did an amazing job on my cut today and gave me some really great tips on hair care & products. I truly enjoy going to see Morgan & everyone at EarthBound.

I went in with long, dead locks of hair. Picture something like Cousin IT from the Addams Family. My fiance got me an appointment with Shannon, who is a magician by the way. Have I ever layered my hair? No. Have I trimmed my hair since I started growing it out? Nope. Did I know what I wanted when I went in? Definitely not. Shannon made the whole experience as easy and care-free as possibly. 10/10 will come again.

I had a great experience with Rachel - maybe the best pedicure massage ive ever gotten!! My daughter, meanwhile, was getting a manicure, (the mid grade one, not the basic) -- and I thought it was going well, but turns out it did not go as well as I perceived. Her manicurist told me that she knicked her cuticle and showed it to me -so i was happy with that forthrightness, but my daughter told me afteward that she did this numerous times drawing quite a bit of blood and that she wiped the blood away with nail polish remover at one point (ouch!)- and my daughter said it was quite a lot of blood so kept coming up including when painting her nails at which time she dipped the brush back into the bottle after wiping blood - which my daughter said made her wonder whose other blood might be on that brush or in that bottle! Then, when we went to pay, the attendant at the desk asked which of us got gel to which I replied neither of us. She questioned my response and I reiterated we did not get gel service. Then she said, something like excuse me i just need to do one thing and went back to the technician and asked her if we got gels. I understand the need to ensure you are getting paid for services provided, but go ahead and be honest about it - maybe say something like - i thought i saw you getting gels - maybe there was some confusion - do you mind if i check??? Instead she tried to be sneaky about it - but i could hear her asking the technician. This made me feel pretty disrespeced and made me wonder - would she have mistrusted me if I didnt look a bit like a hippy / but looked like one of those women who get mani/pedis every week??? Yes, this is a special occasion for me and my daughter. We dont have the time or the money to do it a lot - but I felt pretty disrespected by her checking in to see if I was lying like im a child - especially - after being in there for 2 hours - getting a mani and pedi for myself and a mani for my daughter and spending quite a lot (relative to my income!). Im disappointed because again Rachel was AMAZING. I would definitley recommend nail services here to others with RACHEL. The place is clean and relaxing and Rachel is great!! I just hope this review reaches the woman who was working the desk so she knows how her actions affected our experience, as well as the technician - who seemed very kind and was trying to be conversational with my daughter - so that she may aim for a gentler approach with little fingers going forward.

My daughters and I have been going to Earth Bound for almost 2 years. We just love it there! The staff is amazing, each and every one of them genuinely cares about their clients and it truly shows! I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY 100%COMPLETELY OBSESSED with my brows!!!!!I am sooooo glad I took Loan’s advice and didn’t do microblading again. She explained why microblading is not the right choice for everyone and recommend an ombré powder brow that gave me the perfect shape, color, and makes me feel like the best version of myself! I’m extremely particular and (unfortunately) a perfectionist which can make me a little hard to please sometimes PLUS I’m an artist so I feel like I know what’s best. I have to say...I thought I perfected my brow shape with my regular makeup and fully expected her to be in awe of my great work. She was super complimentary and let me try to control the entire consultation, but when I gave her an opportunity to finally get a word in..she was able to make the tiniest adjustments based on what she could tell I was trying to accomplish and took my brow shape to it’s best version. It’s always refreshing to meet someone who knows their craft, but is a true artist herself. For my 56th Birthday my husband treated me to a day at Earthbound. Being a full time caregiver for my mom who has dementia is stressful. As soon as you walk into Earthbound you’re greeted by friendly faces and there’s an atmosphere of calm. My day included a massage(so relaxing), a heavenly facial, mani/pedi, shampoo/blowout and even lunch! Demetrius & Morgan are simply the best! Don’t wait for a special occasion, treat yourself to a day of bliss! Can’t wait to do it again!

Relaxing atmosphere. I had an excellent head massage with my shampoo. My stylist was fantastic! She really worked with me to find a hairstyle that suited me. Staff work really hard to make sure you have a good experience.

I had my makeup done by Julee for a formal event and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. As someone who rarely wears makeup, she really worked with me to get a formal look without caking on makeup and making me feel like I look nothing like myself. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and she took it and created a look better than I could have imagined. The makeup lasted all night through dancing and sweating and I felt just as good at the end of the night as I did leaving the salon. This is the least I have paid to have my makeup done and the happiest I have ever been with the result.

People here in NY think its crazy that I travel to Wilmington, NC to get my hair cut. Its not the only reason I go there, but when I know Ill be visiting, I do make a hair appointment with Brooke. Fantastic! My bridesmaids and I all got our makeup done at Earthbound the morning of my wedding. The makeup artist, from what I understand, doesnt work there full-time but comes in to help out when they need it. Well she was AMAZING, I am so sorry I forgot her name but she was very friendly and personable! The only (minor) grip I had was that they had forgot to write my appointment in the books. I had made the reservation months before and thankfully had a confirmation email, but a couple weeks before the wedding when I called to confirm and they said they didnt have my information I was a bit concerned. But they were great and got us in, even opening an hour early to accommodate us!

Saw Brooke today for roots and highlights. As always, she did a fantastic job. The color was perfect and my hair has never looked better. Thanks for making this curly girl happy!
