My boyfriend and I moved into Mayfaire Flats in January and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made! The apartment is honestly the cutest and most up to date, affordable apartment that we’ve found in Wilmington. It’s centrally located to everything! Our neighbors are quiet and it’s overall a friendly place to be! Also, there’s always people walking their dogs which is probably my favorite thing since we love to walk our dog so she can make friends! Definitely consider Mayfaire Flats if you’re looking for a place to live!

Mayfaire Flats is not only convenient to eating and shopping but has abundance of businesses. Office staff is super they go out of their way to assist you and super friendly. Brandon in maintenance is wonderful. Clean, neat and great neighbors

I’m so happy I chose to live at Mayfair Flats! Not only is it a prime location but it’s a beautiful community. I’ve had nothing but top-notch interactions with Allie and Shelby in the office as well! They have always been on top of communication with me. I had a few minor maintenance things I needed taken care of after I moved in and they made sure everything was tended to immediately. Don’t look anywhere else. This is the place!

I have enjoyed living here due to the proximity to Mayfaire. So many shops and restaurants located within a mile is great. I feel very safe in this complex. The interior of my apartment is very nice - shaker cabinets, quartz counters, a great layout, huge walk in closet, giant bathroom, etc. Maintenance has generally been quick to fix my issues. The office staff are very friendly. I took away one star because there are not many resident events compared to other places I have lived/ seen posting online, and I had a mold problem in the early summer (probably mainly due to Wilm NC being a humid climate but I didn’t expect that from a relatively new complex). Also be forewarned the rental prices shown online do not included forced additional fees such as valet trash. But the trash service is nice, so I can’t complain I guess!

Beautiful apartments and grounds. The location could not be better and the staff is friendly and very responsive! The amenities are 5 star and always very clean and functional. I cannot say how much I love living here and you will too! Make Mayfaire Flats your new home today!

The staff is what makes or breaks facilities, in my opinion. Allie and Erin go above and beyond. The grounds and aesthetics are just beautiful. Wonderful place to live.

We recently moved in this last January and we have love every single minute of it . Not only are the apartments up to date and spacious . They are centrally located to everything in Wilmington . Also, the amenities are a huge plus and staff that work at the apartments are super nice and helpful. I defiantly recommend Mayfair Flats to anyone .

Apartments are beautiful and couldnt be in a nicer area. The staff is both professional and accommodating. The manger, Erin Waller is truly amazing and extremely helpful. If youre looking for a great central location to live for shopping or going to the beach, this is it!!!

The community is clean, the grounds are well kept. The office staff is super nice and friendly. Taylor was extremely helpful in making our move smooth. She’s always been so helpful and so friendly.There were a few things tat needed to be fixed in the apartment and they were fixed expeditiously and the maintenance people were so polite and professional.I feel very comfortable living here, I am always kept informed of any events going on. I feel safe and at home.

Ive lived here for 2 years now and I love it. Very attentive when you need something. They have doggie DNA so if you dont pick up after your pet, you pay a fine. Very clean. Before COVID, they had monthly doings for the residents. Ex. Breakfast, dinner, donuts. Get togethers. Quiet. I cant say enough. Thus, the reason for 5 stars.

There are many beautiful apartment communities in Wilmington. The staff is what makes it such a great place to live!!! They are caring and always there to meet every need. I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

Nice place to live. Management responds to concern/requests promptly. Maintenance personnel are knowledgeable, customer-focused and friendly. Pool is nice but living in the courtyard area can be quite noisy at times.

I lived at Mayfaire Flats for 2 years and was the first person to move into the East building. I’ve had nothing but the most amazing experience. The apartments are gorgeous and feel so cozy. The front desk staff, especially Taylor, have all been phenomenal since day 1. I rarely had any issues with appliances, but when I did, maintenance handled it in the most timely fashion. Plus, the most AMAZING hair salon, Tropez (hands down best in Wilmington) is connected to the West building. Above all, I felt incredibly safe. There are residents of all ages and all so friendly. I nearly cried leaving my apartment because it truly felt like home. I will forever miss my sweet apartment at Mayfaire Flats!

I cant say enough about the maintenance staff here! All of them are great guys and do their best to help you with issues. Cameron is the best! Always pleasant and helpful, a joy to talk to. He has even helped us out at night with no complaints! Great group of guys here! Thank you guys for all you do and thank you Cameron for being so fantastic!

My husband and I lived here for about 10 months and could not have asked for a better renting experience! The apartments are new, clean, and updated. All of the office staff are over-the-top kind and conscientious. Maintenance is responsive and professional and landscaping is always on point. Neighbors were all great as well, no complaints!

We’ve been here for 16 months and couldn’t be happier. The building is new and our unit was brand new when we moved in. Neighbors are professional and all very friendly and courteous. We’ve only had to call maintenance twice, and they were prompt in fixing the issues. Parking is never an issue and the complex is very safe and quiet. Love all the dogs here! Community is very social and the apartment itself is upgraded and comfortable.

Lived here for two years. It’s been good overall, but the leasing office really sold me by saying they would build electric charging stations. There’s at least 15 different residents that have electric vehicles with no way to charge nearby.

Fantastic place to live in Wilmington. Great for young professionals looking for modern living at a moderate cost. Pools are always well cared for and residents are generally quiet and courteous. Staff has always been extremely helpful and conscientious. Highly recommended.

We are very upset and aggravated that the upstairs neighbors do not let us sleep. They make a whole lot of noise, bang, pound on the floor, run and are extremely careless. They have repeatedly been doing this and we have complained to the office. They said they would take care of it but apparently nothing has changed. It has only gotten worse. If you are looking for a place to live and actually care about the quality of life, and your sleep at night and sanity, please reconsider moving here. The staff is so nice and the apartments are beautiful but thats about all there is. You will regret it once you are not able to sleep and ask for help to no avail.

I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and have loved it here! I’ve never really had any issues that couldn’t be resolved, except for the fire alarm. This morning is the second time in a week that it’s gone off and it used to go off daily back when I first moved in. Now this morning is the last straw as it made me late for work— how in 2 years this fire alarm issue hasn’t been fixed and still takes 30 min to turn off is crazy! Please fix.

Love the area and the office staff and maintenance are always really nice. Office staff have always called me by name from day one which is nice.

Great place to live. I have a beautiful corner unit with great natural lighting and not too much noise from a quiet street, the building is modern (2017/2018 construction) and clean with nice exterior features like porches, pools, relaxation areas, grills, and good landscaping. Valet trash service most nights but the dumpster/recycling on site as well. The clubhouse has an Imac/printer and a nice coffee bar. I dont notice the dog poop issue like some do, but they are working with Doggy DNA to track offenders. Nearby are tons of amenities in Mayfair/The Forum -- grocery stores, restaurants, shopping. My neighbors have not been too noisy, but the walls are thin. The office staff has been very helpful for me with small maintenance requests, keys, roommate switch, etc. And they throw fun community events for residents.The only thing missing is an electric vehicle charger. We now have a few Tesla owners with nowhere to plug in. hopefully the management/regional management can install one or two to attract the new age of customers.5/5. Will live here next year and would live here again if I had the choice.

If you want to live in this area, consider Hawthorne at the Station before Mayfaire Flats. This apartment complex is new and feels a lot like a hotel, but you can tell they scrimped when they could in building the place-- or they had a bad contractor; walls arent always straight and corners arent exactly square, and the fire alarms have gone off multiple times in the middle of the night when it gets especially humid out. The community felt a little toxic, too, leaving aggressive notes about dog poop, which Ive seen both inside and outside the building. But the apartments look nice and have big windows and new appliances... This is a fine place to live if you dont plan to be home that often.

Awesome location and super friendly staff! The apartments are not builder basic like most apartment homes in Wilmington. They have made great strides under new management in addressing the needs of the residents.

I took the opportunity to visit the complex a couple weeks ago when I was in the process of selecting a place to live because of a job transfer. Unfortunately the job fell through but I loved the complex. The office person was very helpful and the community was very tidy. The units are very attractive and I would definitely have selected this community if things hadnt have fallen through.

Run and run fast from this place. This is THE WORST place I have ever lived. Ever. Great apartments but the other stuff you have to put up with is DEFINITELY not worth it. A nameless employee in the office is the most condescending, rude person to be in a customer service position. Trust me, if you decide to rent from there, don’t say you weren’t warned. The people giving five star reviews are either high or talking about another Mayfaire Flats

My husband and I visited several apartment complexes before deciding on Mayfaire Flats. The finishes in these apartments are far nicer than any others in town. We are moving in next month and excited to make this our new home!

Pros: Apartment is beautiful. Office and maintenance staff are nice. Great location.Cons: It takes forever to get things done around here. The elevator in the Phase II building has be out of service for over a month now. I put in maintenance requests, one just to have someone come look at damage due to the Hurricane and the other for pest control, neither have happened. I have a dog, but Im a responsible dog owner who always has bags, and I clean up after my dog. Not everyone here does even though bags are provided throughout the property. Theyre supposedly going to Doggie DNA, which was not included in the lease I signed because of this, but I dont think it will solve anything. And people will pick up after them, then just leave the bag by an entryway. A pipe was leaking outside my door and someone just put a cup under it, that was the fix. The fire alarm has gone off on the regular for no apparent reason. I have caught people smoking this NON-Smoking property. Etc.Ive lived here for about 3 months now. My neighbors are pretty decent.My suggestion: Add another maintenance staff, make their and our lives easier, theres a lot of residents. Follow up on requests & fix the elevator.

So sad to see all the negative reviews. This is a wonderful place to live. I just moved in, and absolutely love my apartment and the property. Everything is gorgeous. The office has been so kind trying to accommodate me while working with construction delays. Allie and Tiffany called me almost daily with updates, and anything new going on. I cant say enough about how great they were. Looking forward to living here.

You cant walk outside without stepping in poop. Its terrible. The grounds here were so nice a few months ago. Everywhere you look, you see poop. You smell poop. You step in poop. Its poop city. It would be nice to see management step up and implement a fix. They started the doggy dna program but no one registered for it. Such a waste. Lazy dog owners are allowed to let their animals litter the grounds with no consequence.Residents are so upset with this issue. Management always says take a picture and let us know. Or, they could simply look out the window and see it lying all over the grounds. Just fix it.Its so disgusting.

Giving two stars because I haven’t had a good night’s sleep since I moved here. The neighbors are ridiculously loud at night and will blast music at the pool and scream at 2AM. If it isn’t the people waking you up, it’ll be the alarm that randomly goes off at least once a month—it’s extremely loud and usually doesn’t get turned off for about an hour or so. People are constantly smoking, even though it is a non-smoking community, and when I reach out to the office it seems like they don’t do a thing about it. The ONLY saving grace at this apartment is that the apartment itself is really pretty. But, unfortunately, that just isn’t enough, especially for such a high rent price! You’d be better off renting a house (which is about the same price you’d pay to live here.)

I had the most wonderful customer service experience with Tiffany. She went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met. I can’t wait to transition into this wonderful community.

Management at Mayfaire Flats is horrible. No one will get back to you when you call or email or text. Maintenance is beyond slow, if it happens at all and even when they show up, the issue remains. The hallways are always filthy, the pools are not heated as they said they were, you can hear every step from the tenants above, I can go on. This is the most expensive place I have ever lived in and for what we pay we deserve premium service. And regardless of what we pay, we deserve at least adequate attention and service. Dont move here!

Unprofessional condescending management. Only corporate office handled multiple situations very promptly and courteous. Very small spaced property, tight parking spots, and excessive dog waste consistently throughout property. This excessive dog waste has caused some Pets to get sick. Many residents leave side gates propped wide open with large heavy rock so their friends can come in and out at all times of the night with no gate key. Many residents continue to see people smoking DAILY on their balcony after many residents have reported violations to office. Property gets really loud on weekends and late hours of night (Pool & Courtyard area by Firepit) due to constant in/out non-residence visitors and party types. A lot of residents leave open trash in hallways on a daily basis (Pizza Boxes, Beer cans, etc..) and in some cases, roaches visible. Not a kid friendly community. If you like a Loud Party atmosphere & you dont mind a lot of smokers, this place is definitely for you. Otherwise, I would rent elsewhere. The only positive: Tiffany M. If Tiffany was manager, The Flats would be a better run community.

This was one of the most beautiful properties I have ever seen. And Tiffany who showed my friend around was so pleasant and knowledgable. We both have had an opportunity to go back and to walk around. Unfortunately, we have never seen more dog waste left on a property and the unsafe and unsanitary conditions were a complete turnoff. It was a disgusting sight. We have decided that because the property is so new, they probably do not yet have a manager. We are hoping that once they have a manager in place, we will see a change, because it would be a wonderful place to live.

Great apartments and staff. Can’t wait to live here!
