Salt Air installed a Mitsubishi Mini Split system to replace my 18 year old package system. Salt Air gave me the best price and explained the process thoroughly. This was a two day job which required significant work to transition to a ductless system; Salt Air was efficient and professional with this installation. The team worked to find solutions to install the system in a way that was least intrusive to my siding, which required going through the crawlspace. They removed old ductwork and installed vent caps on the old vents, and left the crawlspace very clean. The only downside was for a less than responsive electrician, which dragged out the inspection, but this has been resolved. Overall, I am very pleased with the end product and my interactions with Salt Air personnel. I would highly recommend them.

The whole experience with Salt Air went very well! Great customer service from the lady taking my call and getting me scheduled quickly to the tech who came to the house. All were professional and knowledgeable. The tech, Nathan, even arrived early and got my AC problem fixed easily and made sure to communicate thoroughly so we could understand what was happening with our system. They have a great system going where they text, email and/or call so you know whats happening every step of the way. Will definitely be a regular customer.

I like the fact that someone answered the phone on Sunday. I called another company and left messages on Saturday and Sunday and didnt get a return call till Monday. The tech was professional, knowledgeable and on time. I will definitely use Salt Air again and Ill tell my friends.

Our home was hit by lightning at night and within 45 minutes, Josh was at the house. He is very knowledgeable and polite, a real pleasure to deal with. As soon at the part arrived from the warehouse, the office called and scheduled our installation. Very reasonable, efficient and a total pleasure to deal with!! Highly recommend!

Jon Gray came to identify the problem with my AC. Not only did he identify the problem, he came back the next day and replaced the damaged part with a new one. He was patience with all my questions and courteous....and also replaced my air filters. Not that I want another problem, but if so, I hope he is the tech who comes to my house. Everyone I dealt with at the company was helpful and friendly.

When my upstairs AC went out in August I called Salt Air. They had a service tech out here on a Saturday and they quickly diagnosed the problem. The compressor was failing. Thankfully it was under warranty and they were able to make the repair within two days. I really like the text message they send out prior to your service call, which has the techs photo, name and other helpful information such as certifications and years of experience. The whole team is very professional and they have a fast response time.

This was our first experience using Salt Air, but it will not be our last. Our AC went out and we had company coming the next day. They sent Jon out same day with after hour service and we were very happy he was able to get our AC repaired while he was here. The company we have used for 8 years could not help us for over a week. We were happy with Salt Air, and we will use them the next time we need service. Thanks so much!

We have used Salt Air more than once. Their customer service when you call is professional and friendly. Nathan was prompt, friendly and did a great job. He wore a mask and shoe covers. I really appreciate the mask as my mom is high risk for COVID-19. Great company, very reasonable prices, job was quoted accurately with no surprise costs. We will definitely be continuing to call them for service! Thanks!!! Also, they had to come out because we tried to clean the ducts ourselves (we had done it before and own the same tool he used). Well. I may have broken said tool off inside the wall. Neither the office customer service rep nor the technician laughed at me. They held it in. I was very proud of them! It’s not expensive I highly recommend letting them clean the ducts.

I couldn’t speak higher of this business! I came back from a long weekend trip to a house that was 92°, the air had died over the weekend and it had been sitting and baking the majority of the weekend. I picked up the phone and called salt air and they answered immediately, let me know that they would take care of me and that “relief is on the way” - i’m not quite sure if the nice lady on the phone at the other end knew how calming that was for me.Scot, our technician, was timely, responsive, and super helpful. He fixed the issue almost immediately. And I forgot to mention that this was close to midnight on a Sunday!!! I couldn’t speak higher of them, and will be referring all my friends and family to them for any heating and air needs they may have. You can’t be top notch customer service, happy to sing this company’s praises on the mountaintop!

This company is great! They are very professional and answer every question you might have. Their Hvac Techs are very nice, clean cut and overall great people. I had issues that required them to come out 3 times within a 10 day period. They bent over backwards sending someone out at nighttime just to make sure I could sleep comfortable that night. I woke up today having to put on a sweatshirt and sweatpants in the middle of June. Thank you guys for the great service! I worked specifically with Crystal over the phone, and Nick and Doug as the techs. 10/10 I will be using again. Its really great to know a company stands behind their word.

We called on a weekend during their 24 hour emergency repair. These guys are the most professional service we’ve ever used. Josh P. was our service manager and he was very responsive and informative. We learned a lot about what makes our AC system tic and about the quality of the materials they use. Our AC was up and running in no time. If you have an issue with your AC don’t think twice about giving them a call.

Our AC went out Friday night and after calling Salt Air, our technician Jon arrived in less than 45 minutes. He was extremely professional and explained the repairs to us in detail. We highly recommend Salt Air and will call them in the future.

Josh Posey was our technician for an after hours call, he was out at the house within the hour and very quickly started work. Cant say good enough things about Josh, he was very friendly and knowledgeable, he even took me up to the attic to show me what he had done during the call so I could understand what was going on with everything.Turned out our damper was getting stuck and wasnt sending any air to our downstairs so he adjusted it so we could always have a small amount going either up or down if it happened again, along with how to reset it to avoid paying after-hours service calls in the future.I will definently be using Salt Air in the future do to such a great experience and because I like supporting family owned businesses. Thank you Josh again, I know my wife and one week old daughter appreciate having the AC working properly again!

They were very thorough, polite and timely. I would definitely recommend them for work on any HVAC job. The prices were not horrible either, $175 emergency call and $250 for a motherboard replacement.

I had an upstairs unit put in. It was so nice to come home to a cool house. Last year, they replaced my downstairs unit. They do a great job and clean up their mess :). I would recommend them to anyone who needs general maintenance to replacement. They come whenever I call and say It is hot. Salt Air is the best! My AC quit working last Saturday night. A repairman was here first thing Sunday morning and I decided to replace rather than repair the 18 year old unit. A sales person was available to explain options by early afternoon on a Sunday. Today, a new unit was installed. All this within a week. Great service from a professional and knowledgeable staff. Kevin was the gentleman who serviced my a/c unit and cleaned out my dryer vent, he did an exceptional job from finding out the warranty left on a/c to making sure all the dryer lint was cleaned up after he was done!! Above and Beyond!! Kevin Kelly of Salt Air came out to clean our dryer venting. The vent exhausts between the second and third floors, and the run is at least 30 feet. (Who designed THAT?!) I don’t think it had been cleaned in the 13 years the house has been here. After doing his best with the standard equipment; he decided that additional measures were needed. So the next day, Kevin came back with Thomas. And, WOW! They climbed up a 40’ ladder to clean out the years of lint and dryer debris from the outside. And then moved the washer and dryer, (a feat in itself, as it is built into surrounding cabinetry. Again, who designed this?), and cleaned it from the inside out. After seeing what came out of there, it is no wonder dryers are a major cause for fires! Cleaning our dryer vent was no easy task; yet they were professional, courteous, respectful, and pleasant. A huge thank-you to Kevin and Thomas, for going the extra mile to be sure the job was done thoroughly and properly, and completely cleaned up afterwards!!! High recommendations of these two guys -and Salt Air, Inc if all their employees are like Kevin and Thomas! Kudos!!

The service provided by Salt Air is impressive. Three different repair people have been to my house to deal with an old HVAC system. Every single exchange, from scheduling to arrival to explaining the work,, has been courteous and professional. Actually, the folks at Salt Air go beyond courtesy to active concern for my household’s safety and comfort. Once a technician came on a Friday night and stayed—cheerfully and doggedly— for several hours to diagnose a problem. Another came on Saturday to follow up, explain everything, and be sure all was well. Since the repair had to be temporary until a part came in, I received a call Monday morning to be sure the system was still working so we could be warm until the part arrived.

Lyonel was professional, courteous and not only knowledgeable, he fixed our problem.

I appreciated Salt Airs modern take on HVAC services. After scheduling with Crystal everyone else was done through text and email. I received reminders of my appointment, and was notified when my technician was on the way, including a photograph to ensure the I had the right guy. Jon came out initially to clean my dryer vent, but was unable to complete the job due to the location of the vent on my roof. A few days later Jon was back with Scott. They were able to knock out the cleaning quickly. After they were done they gave me a rundown of exactly what they did and the condition of my dryer vent. Thanks for the great work!

Had tech come out for a fan motor on the HVAC system. Tech was very nice, however the first part he installed that he stated was bad, he advised was going to cost $311...yet the same exact part can easily be found available for $10. That part didnt fix the issue so the tech was waiting for an additional part. Not trusting the company after the first part quote I paid him for his service call, asked him to remove the part installed, and discontinued service.

Devin and Brooke were awesome to work with and they treat their staff like family. A happy staff produces a wonderful finished product and that alone is reason enough to hire these folks!

Why do you think it’s fair to make your own lane in the grass then cut everyone off? With traffic that is packed up for miles on Highway 17.. You should have to wait like EVERYONE ELSE. You are no more important. I would never use your services simply because of your driving and lack of common courtesy.-Annoyed mother sitting in traffic just like you AND IN LABOR, with another small child in the back

Weve used Salt Air for both our home and business. They have always been professional and able to guide us to the right set up for both places. All the guys are knowledgable and take care when entering into the home or business. Even when they were busy with other jobs they were able to get back with us very quickly!

The technician was able to come out early and repair the WiFi on the thermostat rather than have to replace it. He also checked our units.

Working with Salt Air was fantastic from the start. They came very highly recommended and did NOT disappoint! The communication via text and email was great, and I especially appreciate that they send you a picture of the technician coming to your house along with their ETA so you know exactly who to look for and when they should be arriving. Danny was wonderful, he came out to do an estimate for a full HVAC system replacement after ours quit. He stayed for over an hour going over all of the options, pros/cons of each, and showing us the different things we could add/subtract to make sure we had a quote we wanted. And then he left us with the quote to make a decision. All that time invested and he didn’t pressure us once to make a decision right then and there. Working with the office was a breeze, paperwork was simple and Crystal was so kind! Our installation was scheduled a week out but she called me back and we ended up getting moved up to an opening 3 days earlier which was a HUGE blessing for our family as we had zero unit function and were relying on space heaters only for heat (in January nonetheless!). Byron and the install team were beyond professional and SO prompt!! They installed a brand new unit outside and in the attic, ran new wire for the thermostat, installed the new thermostat, cut and installed a second vent in the master suite (matched it up perfectly with the existing one I might add), handled everything with an electrician to ensure the electricity/breaker box was functioning properly, replaced and insulated ductwork and piping, and completed it all in an 8-5 day! They tested everything to make sure it was working properly and when they left there wasn’t a speck of dust/dirt to show they were ever there doing work. We received multiple quotes from multiple companies and they were far below the price point of the other companies we spoke with for far more included, including a one year service plan. And money aside we could not have asked for a better experience with this team. Thank you all so much for your excellence! My family appreciates you all :-)

We have used several other HVAC companies in Wilmington, but Salt Air is by far the best. The technician always shows up within the 2 hour appointment window and it’s pretty easy to get an appointment. Staff is very nice, friendly, and helpful. A technician just stayed and worked until 7 pm to make sure we had heat before a very cold night. Highly recommend.

Our A/C went out after midnight on a Friday so I called on Saturday early morning to request service. Jon arrived at our house in under 2 hours. He had a face mask on. He spent a few minutes asking questions about the problem. Then he checked the outside unit and thermostat. Next he was off to the attic (about 120 degrees). After 20 minutes he found the issue...bad blower motor. He said an exact match wasnt available for 2 to 3 days but gave us 2 options to avoid the heat. Either a window unit loaner for 1 room or a blower motor loaner for the entire house. We chose the motor and our home A/C was running in under an hour. Two days later Jon returned with the exact replacement! Great service, Fast service even on weekends, and a good price. A HOME RUN!

We needed some HVAC help on New Years day and was surprised how easy it was to book an appointment online, and was even more surprised when I got a call shortly thereafter saying they could arrive within the hour! Josh was our technician and he was great. He was straight up about the issue we had and the cost, and he was able to fix the problem quickly. We decided to sign up for a long term maintenance agreement because of the great experience we had. Highly recommend them to anyone needing HVAC support.

Wow! I am amazed! We own property that we manage thats 2-1/2 hours away. This is the 2nd time using Salt Air. First experience alittle over a year ago was great. This 2nd time they TOPPED IT! It can be hard managing property when youre not physically at the location, unless you have the right people in place. I definitely have my HVAC guys in place! Makes MY JOB SOOOO MUCH EASIER! I came home on a Sunday after being gone for five hours or so to my AC not working! It’s been a really hot week and knew I would have to get it fixed immediately. Salt ac was open on the weekend and answered right away. They were at my house within 45 minutes. Josh was the associate that came to my house and he was kind, professional and didn’t even mind my hyper dogs! He installed a window unit to cool my house while I waited for the parts to come in! I checked Salt airs website and immediately (late Sat. even) a chat opened. I was able to learn the cost of an emergency repair--immediately--vs a repair late Monday. I was given a contact number to make arrangements for a prompt repair. Repair complete. Josh is knowledgeable and thorough.

After reviewing all the relevant information such as what needed to be done with our current old system we decided to go with a new system. Carson was very helpful and full of knowledge. We ultimately went with Carsons recommendations on our new system. Although we wish we would have gotten better news on our older HVAC system we are happy that we choose Salt Air and that Carson assisted us. We would highly recommend Salt Air.

I had Colin here on 7/3/18. He put in Leak Freeze and the sprayed soap all over and said it was fixed.A quote from the invoice: AC Leak Freeze acts like a liquid plug that searches the system for small leaks and goes to those leaks and plugs them permanently.The AC quit working again 7/21/18. JC came out. When we were talking it out, I had to defend myself as if he thought I was lying or stupid. He said every one knows that Leak Freeze is not permanent. If so I wonder why the invoice uses the word permanent.Before he left on 7/21, we shook hands that JC would come do a pressure test with the agreement what was paid on the 3rd would cover it. He also said I would be contacted Monday.On Monday the 23rd I waited till 11AM and then initiated the call. I got the impression that Tia had no idea I was to be contacted to setup an appointment. When JC showed up I asked why I had not been contacted and then for the second time he argued with me like I was lying or stupid.JC finally turned around and said he was leaving. I then let him know in no uncertain terms what I thought of his word and handshake.Today on the 26th when I was showing the new HVAC guy around I seen that JC left my gate open, the power disconnect door open and a panel on the heat pump improperly installed.Finally, there were 3 techs from Salt Air here over the last year. Everyone said there was a valve missing so they could not properly check the sub coolant. The first tech here had the system bled and could have made things right, but all they wanted to do was blame the installer.In one word Salt Air is substandard.

From consultation to installation the Salt Air team was tremendous - timely, friendly, courteous and professional. They took the time to make sure they understood the issue we were seeking to address (better humidity control), assessed our current system/unit, and made a recommendation that was thoughtful and fit our needs. No pressure, just facts. Thanks Dustin. Thereafter, the installation itself (and inspection) was flawless. Doug and team were excellent, made sure everything worked perfectly, the worksite was free of debris, old system disposed of, and I had my questions answered before departing. Once again, thanks to Salt Air for their consummate professionalism and living up to their reputation of being a top-notch organization. Highly recommend!Additional comments from 1/28/21Just a follow up - we had a generator installed in September by Salt Air, there again tremendous work by the team. Importantly I asked that the overview of “how to use” it be delayed. Thereafter Kevin came over and took the necessary time to ensure I understood how to use the system, helped set up the mobile app, and went over the maintenance requirements with me. Again, I highly recommend Salt Air and greatly appreciate Kevin’s patience and attentiveness to me as a customer.

Kevin performed an analysis of our AC system. He was very thorough and explained items to us that we could understand. He identified items that would improve the performance of the system and made additional recommendations for moving forward. I would highly recommend Kevin for any AC system repairs and look forward to working with Salt Air Heating & Cooling in the future.

We are glad that we have signed up with Salt Air. My only problem is that fear of possible mold and a lot of dust had us schedule a $600 cleaning, when the service was underway my husband was asked why we scheduled the particular service and that there was minimal if not any in most areas anything that needed to be cleaned. It is a bit upsetting to pay for something in full that was not needed, and that the work was completed even though it wasnt needed.During a pandemic with health concerns, it would be expected that not only letting us know a service wasnt needed, but giving us the opportunity to then not have it done/completed; therefore, not having to pay a full $600 would be extended to a new customer who is looking to have a long trusting relationship with the company.I understand these things happen, I just hope that Salt Air makes it right.

I called Salt Air this morning because my heat went our last night when the temps got down to 35 degrees and it got down to 61 degrees in my house. They took my information and were able to schedule an appointment same day with a service window between 11-1. I know I got lucky to get in same day so I am really greatfull for that. Josh Posey was my technician and he was great! He called me at 11 to let me know he was on his way and would be at my house in about 15 min (much better timing than I expected with a 2 hour window). He was very professional and personable, came in and diagnosed the issue (bad temp sensor on the air handler), called in for the part, picked it up, and installed it all within 1.5 hours. I am truly pleased with the service I received and would recommend them to anyone!
