I called for emergency unclog of 3 drains on a rental property. The tech unclogged two drains at 9:00 pm and told me they would be back at 10:00 the next morning to unclog the other drain and fix two faucets. I agreed and arranged for the tenant to be there. The next morning, they called me at 9:40, 9:50 and 10:15 while I was in a meeting and did not have my phone. The messages stated that since I didnt answer my phone, they would not come out. At no time the previous evening, when I agreed on the time of 10:00 the following morning, did they say they would call me and not come out if I didnt answer. Extremely unprofessional behavior to promise a time and not come out at the agreed upon time. I arranged for another plumber and will never use this company again!
Our service technician, John, arrived on time and followed CDC protocols. He provided a clear and thorough explanation of the services that he would be performing. He was patient and answered all of our questions.
Tom the tech was great. Took the time to sweep off the deck before he rolled his machine through some wild berries that had fallen so they wouldnt stain anything inside, and still out down a drop cloth. He quickly cleared our clog, and was professional in every way. Cleaned up after himself, and was very conscientious....even put on some booties over his shoes.

The entire dig team was excellent and professional. They helped answer all my questions throughout the process and were extremely friendly and courteous throughout. After the all day job was completed they even offered to answer any questions we had which was very helpful. They left our yard tidy & clean and even replaced two bushes that had to be dug up during the repair work - saving me from having to replant them myself. The tech came over for a “name your own price on an AC tune-up” deal. I have no idea what, if anything he did to tune up the AC. Instead, the tech took the whole machine apart and started looking at the heat exchanger. Now, I suppose this is exactly why they offer the “name your own price” deals. That gets them into your system which allows them the opportunity to look for more issues. I get that. However, things got a little crazy from there.The tech noticed some cracks at the bottom of the heat exchanger housing. He explained that because of this, he would need to CONDEMN my heater. He explained that the only way to fix it would be to replace it. This would take about 3-4 hours of labor.At this point I pull up the warranty information and see that I’m well within the warranty period to replace the heat exchanger at no cost aside from labor. At the end of the process he gave me a labor quote of ~$4000. My jaw dropped. He had already told me that the job would only take 4 hours max. Who works for $1000 an hour? I told him I should be able to get a whole new system for that amount to which he replied that “actually, something like that would cost more like 6-8k.” Ridiculous.At this point we told him thank you, and that we’d be looking for a second opinion. It seemed like I offended him. I told him that I trust his assessment at which point he replied, “apparently now, if you’re getting a second opinion.” What a guy! But thank god we did.Long story short - the second opinion didn’t actually find the same problem that Horizon did, but I insisted that I’d want to get the heat exchanger replaced anyway while it was still under warranty. A job that was going to cost me 4K with Horizon will now cost me less than 1k in labor, what a joke.The tech definitely could have handled the conversation better but stuff like this doesn’t happen unless it’s driven by company culture. It seems apparent to me that their whole business model is to scare you, then overcharge you during your moment of concern.I haven’t met one person who has had a single good thing to say about this company. Don’t waste your time.

I’ve used Horizon several times over the years. Though they are slightly more expensive than other companies, their professionalism, reliability, and quality service can’t be beat. Nick was very professional and personable. He worked hard to ensure the new water filtration system was correctly installed. He nott only explained what was needed but also explained how to maintain it. He ensured all of the old system parts were removed and left the area cleaner than when he arrived.

Mike was very professional and such a pleasure to work with. We had an issue with our main sewer line and Horizon was able to come out late on a Tuesday evening to help get our water up and running again. We were bumped with just 24 hours notice from our first appointment time (which had been on the books for over a month) and re-scheduled to three weeks later. The explanation was that there were a lot of emergencies. I understand that, but its also not a great way to treat confirmed customers. David was very professional and knowledgeable and did a thorough job once at our home.

Great service was provided by the technician, Mike. He was able to customize an option that resulted in a resolution to a very nasty problem. We had a blockage in the main drain to the sewer. He also gave suggestions for future options that would provide better access and faster resolution should this problem ever occur again. Guys like him on the front line are like gold for a business.

Pretty significant issue where water was backing up and flooding my powder room. Called Horizon around 8:30AM and Thomas arrived before Noon. I explained the issue and after a thorough inspection, he suspected the the issue was mostly likely my Septic Tank. Although he could not actually affect any repairs to that system, his knowledge and helpfulness gave me the needed information and next steps. I was able to get the septic tank inspected later that day and the issue did turn out to be a clogged filter. Thomas - Thank you, truly appreciated your diligence and expertise.

Jeffery Wolf came one day to assess damage to AC coils and verified leak. He returned in several days to remove damaged part and install the new one. He work quickly and efficiently and finished in less time than was allotted. The work was covered by warrantee. Horizon is a quality company with expert service providers, and I have used them for HVAC and plumbing for over ten years.
The team arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. They kept me informed along the way, as the job seemed to be more difficult than expected. They ended up completing the job sooner than expected, which was a definite plus. They kept my home clean and also cleaned up after themselves. Great guys, great team!

I needed repair on a number of plumbing issues. Horizon was able to send a plumber to my home the next day after I called. All issues were taken care of in a competent and professional manner. I will be calling on Horizon in the future and would highly recommend their services.
Our plumbing technician, Martin, was very knowledgeable. He was also very patient, which was needed for working with the old plumbing in our house .. there was a surprise or two in the pipes behind the walls, which he handled very calmly.
In my 14 years of working in construction this is the worst experience I have ever had. It’s taken over 2 1/2 months to complete a hot water heater, and a rough in for a bathroom and kitchen. No response from plumbing manager multiple times and repeated excuses not to get the job done. Will never use them again and will never refer them in my network of contractors. I received 0 quality customer service.

I called Horizon when we noticed the heat had not come on all day and the house was getting cold. I called on Monday afternoon and a tech came within 2 hours. He diagnosed problem then ordered the parts. He talked about replacement since the system was old. We told him we’d think about it but he wanted to make sure the part was ordered in case. We wanted an estimate on the system so a person came that night to do an estimate. He measured the house and recommended a system. After getting a second estimate we decided to go with horizon. The warranty was better the service agreement was better. A team came out Thursday to install the new furnace. They explained how everything worked. And said they weren’t leaving until we had heat. Overall Horizon’s service was excellent!!!

The technician was more like a salesman, he came in the door pitching a new system. Before he opened my unit, the tech gave me a list of items that either broken, needed to be replaced or refilled. Then after that he kept trying to force a meeting with a rep to sell me a new unit. I will never trust a Horizon tech or the business itself, I will let my neighbors know as well as our Facebook page. This was a waste of $50, the technician/ salesman was a joke. By the questions listed in this survey, I guess you all are trained to come in saying there are issues with the unit. Before starting, did the Service Technician acknowledge any other problems or concerns? Lol, he sure did let me know of problems before opening my unit, how can you do that?!!!

Contacted Horizon Services about an issue with our humidifier - associated with the HVAC system. Pad and filter required replacement. Their technician, Lucas Ramos went way above and beyond what we expected. He worked with his office to correct an issue with our account, fixed the humidifier, walked me through the maintenance of the humidifier, furnace and air conditioner, and even went outside to check on the air conditioner and sprayed off the filters there (at no additional cost!). His service was outstanding. Kudos to Horizon and Lucas!

Horizon was very responsive and professional. My 86 year old fathers heater stopped working and had no heat. They first told me that it would take over 24 hrs to have a technician come out but they would try to work him in. They called back in less then an hr and had a Technician, Joe, on his way. Joe was very professional and kept us informed all of the way and had the heater up and running in less then 2 hrs. This is a GREAT service.DaveI must add to my review of Horizon. As I wrote above I was very impressed with Horizon and their services so I had plumbing issues in my own home and I called them out to help me out as well. Wayne was wonderful. Our technician, Lloyd, did an impressive job from start to finish. Very polite, very knowledgeable, explained to me by the heater what he was doing, why he was doing it, stated negative outcomes if something is not quite right, and fully explained all of the readings he recorded and what they meant and that our system was well within the good range of tolerances. I felt relieved that all systems were in good shape and we had an almost 96% efficiency rating. Thats on the Deans list every time. We did have one issue of a part not functioning properly and he stated he would have to go back to HQ as he did not have that part on his truck. He was back within good time, replaced the part (under warranty) and had us back up and running in good shape. You can send Lloyd anytime. Lucas X was fantastic. We were in a tough spot with no heat on a very cold night. Lucas went out of his way and committed to not leaving until our heater was up and running. Lucas did not have the part he needed to fix our heater so he called his colleagues until he found the part he needed. He even left to get the part from his colleague. Once the heater was fixed, Lucas took the time to explain what he fixed and pointed out other areas that will need attention in the future. We would definitely recommend using Lucas for a heater repair.

The install team done a great job. My issues are with the sales team and management. I received a different split system than was signed for and a day later than quoted. I was told the other one wasnt available and we were without heat so I let them proceed. I called the office and none of the management returned my calls. I feel like a bait and switch job was pulled on me since the one I signed for was a better system. In retrospect I should have canceled and called someone else.
