The fan on the outside unit stopped working. After a re-start, the fan was running backward so I turned the unit off. It was Sunday so no parts stores were open. They scheduled a repair appointment for early Monday morning - arrived as scheduled and repaired the problem.We have used James and Son for all our HVAC needs for years and have always been very pleased with their services.

Service tech arrived about an hour after I called for service on a Saturday afternoon. Fiund unit had a defective part that they will replace when supply house opens Monday. On Monday the unit was repaired as promised. The techs were very courteous and professional. I highly recommend this business.

We determined after purchasing our 1998 home in April, 2020, that we would upgrade some of the systems upfront. After Hurricane Dorian caused one of the two heat pumps to blow a fuse, we called James and Son Heating and Cooling to come repair that unit. They responded in a very timely manner and we discussed the age of our system with Dave, the owner of the company. We decided to replace the whole system with state of the art heat pumps and programmable thermostats. The James and Son team was timely, professional, neat and honest. Jamie, who handles administrative issues, including billing and scheduling, was similarly responsive at every step of the way. We could not have asked for a more positive experience and we have signed with the company for future maintenance.

James & Son recently installed one of our 2 HVAC systems at our house in Carolina Beach. They gave us a good price and worked with us on an install date that was convenient for us. The installers were very professional, took time, right when they got there, to put down plastic and paper, to protect our carpet and flooring, all the way up to the 2nd floor closet, where the system was being installed. They showed us how to use the new thermostat, and made sure it was connected to the wifi and TCC app, so we can remotely control the system. We were happy with how the install went, and would recommend them.
