I found my new mechanic! This was my first time taking my truck to Newport Auto but they treated me like I’d been going there for years.Jeff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed my problem and found two Evap leaks. The repairs were made the same day for a reasonable cost. It’s easy to pay a repair bill when you know you didn’t get taken advantage of. I went to them with my fro out, only black dude on the premises and didnt feel uncomfortable at all. They offered me access to their coffee machine and even turned the tv on for me. Mike handled the entire process with Carmax and getting me a rental for the week. Very professional and very friendly.

After a steam car wash toasted my cars display cluster and door module(seat adjustment), I followed up with Mercedes authorized dealer who gave me a quote of close to $3000 which didnt even include the door module replacement. And after a couple of local repair guys with no fix, I fortunately found these guys. They fixed it for 300 dollars in one day!!!

I was in a pinch and ran over a large self-tapping screw and didnt realize it until I was on my lunch break at work. The place I normally go to could not get me in so I called these guys and they fit me in immediately. They were polite, professional, and got the job done quick. Highly recommend this place. Very happy with my experience and I will be returning should I need future services.

Who ever says they are thrilled with getting their car repaired? I can truly say I am thrilled with Newport Auto Center. My check engine light was on and after trying to get an appointment with other centers I was frustrated that no one could look at my car for at least a week. I found this center online and scheduled an appointment for the next day. I expected a call saying It was impossible or a mistake. What I did get was a pleasant email from Mike, the owner, saying he looked forward to seeing me. I decided to use the night drop box and hope for the best. Mike emailed me back the next day and kept me informed of what was going on. He called me when my car was done; to my pleasant surprise everything was done correctly through the warranty company. I picked up my car and the gentleman that I spoke to at the counter was friendly and pointed out where my car was. Seriously? This is the way customer service is suppose to be!! Well done, gentleman. Thank you for an easy, satisfying experience.

Great prices and very honest. Had another shop tell me my water pump was leaking bring it to this shop and its only a hose. Love it!

These guys are wonderful!! They went above and beyond. FUEL PUMP went on my way to Virginia, they towed me in no time and fixed my car even when they had a full schedule. They were very kind, didnt over charge me.. I went to breakfast while I waited n the folks there spoke very good of Newport auto. Thank you Tim for towing me and Mike for your wonderful service!!

Weve only had this place fix a drivers side door spring that popped out but I can tell these guys are good guys. Jeff, the owner I believe, has integrity, does not mislead you, and is an all around great guy. We will be going back there in the future to have them do auto repair jobs that I cant handle myself.

Newport Auto are the *best* hands down professional and friendly people on the planet.They are the only reason my ancient 1993 car with 230K+ miles keeps going strong.More than equal or way better parts quality and guarantee terms than manufacturer/dealerships, but at way lower prices!They make it very difficult to go to anyone else once youve visited them.The only time Ive needed to go anywhere else, because it was the weekend, or I was out of town, Ive had to bring it to them to do some follow up fixing.Enough said.

Dont bring your car here. Im serious!! They use the cheapest parts that one can buy and charge a premium. Also, they robbed my car. They stole all change and my wedding ring that was accidentally left in the car and surprise surprise the denied any and all responsibility.Edit: Before posting this review I called and described level of service and the stolen items from my car. The individual was extremely rude and told em that there is nothing that they will do and hung up the phone. So i dont believe for a second that you are willing to rectify the situation. You are just trying to look good in a review.

I had a bad experience here before but I cant give them one star because they did rectify the situation. I purchased a used van for $100 and it was running extremely well but not passing inspection. So I went to this place and I told them I wanted everything completely replaced which would cause a bad inspection. I paid between $500-$800 on everything that needed to be done. I went to DMV and the van failed even worse than it did before. How do you spend all that money and replace everything and fail worse.I went back to this place and showed the new inspection to the mechanic working and asked how the fan would fail even worse after they fixed it. They didnt have an answer so I left there and went to the Justice of the Peace Court and filed a civil complaint. A few days after filing the complaint I got a call from them saying they wanted to resolve it and asked that I drop off the van again and that they would take it thru the inspection process themselves. Problem solved.
