Did not contact me after they looked at my car. Told me my radiator fan was not working and quoted me $700 to fix it. Fan is working fine. Real problem is with low oil levels. Had to pay a $100 for a wrong diagnosis and their attempt at ripping me off. Absolute grease balls over here.

I have been wanting a W124 Benz since I was a little kid. This is my first love to Mercedes brand. I saw this dealer has one with decent price/condition. Helen was very helpful in answering all of my questions via email. She even provided clarification pictures, detailed service records, etc. Keep in mind, I am buying this car SIGHT UNSEEN.I flew out to Williamsburg, VA from TX and drove this car back, 1,512 miles home. The car made it back without any issues. And I had a comfortable ride home, even though the car is almost 30 years old.On top of getting a reliable ride, I also enjoyed the hospitality at this dealership. Helen, Saki, and myself even spent hours talking about cars/life when I picked up the car, as friends. Helen also continued to check on me throughout my journey, making sure I made it home safely. I was visiting Williamsburg when the battery died in my BMW. After getting my car jumpstarted, I drove to European Cars of Williamsburg. Their initial statement about what they thought was wrong with my car, matched my personal mechanics’ back home statement and the AAA mans’ assessment. I drove in, they had my new battery installed within an hour. One of the mechanics delayed going to lunch to put it in for me. Great great customer service. Fast and friendly and reasonable. Thank you Chris and Gus.

Purchased from European cars of williamsburg a used vehicle which was regularly serviced by this shop and sold by this shop. (Carfax lists those services I chose) Currently, 22 days after purchase there are 4 different symptoms from electronic, break issues, oil and cooling system. Highly concerned I was lied to about the quality of the vehicle and work done to maintain this vehicle. No car should fail in so many ways so close to sale if it was properly maintained and serviced. Extremely disappointed and angry. If the quality of the work is evidenced by this car they fail. Updating w new info. The work being done is quite extensive and expensive. The repair team feels that the problems likely WERE patched to sell the car. A cracked tube on the break line was easy to temporary fix and could have cost a life. Very upsetting if it was a known problem. No response from the owner of European Cars on the last 3 services provided which have no details listed in carfax.

The team at European Cars of Williamsburg delivered a great car at a great price. I was looking for a clean, early build date 996 on-and-off for approx. two years and the car I purchased was more value than I expected at this price point. I would definitely do business with this dealership again.

I cannot say enough about Helen. Her follow-up is impeccable. She also has a gift for customers service. Helen is not your average salesperson, she knows the full process. The advantage to having this kind of service is that the relationship continues to build with each step throughout the process. This is appreciated, especially during COVID-19.

Mr Gus and his son Chris were amazing to me. I was having the worst day when my car key went missing and they helped me out. They were friendly, fun, and very professional. They made my dark day turn into light. They even got me a spare key, because come on...!! Lol thanks guys!!

Even though I didnt end up buying a car here, I wanted to say how great my experience was working with Helen. I had chosen something very specific that was discontinued, with specific trim, color (both interior and exterior), and mileage, and it was very hard to find. Helen worked tirelessly on trying to find that vehicle. She was great with communication, always quick to respond, very patient, and helpful and friendly in answering questions during my search. I only bought a car elsewhere because I happened to finally find what I was looking for at another dealership. But I will definitely be sending friends with specific car search needs to Helen in the future! And if I have further car search needs, I will be back! Shes great!

Its difficult to remember a time when I was treated more dismissively than I was at this shop. I own a Mini Cooper and was hoping for an alternative to driving 45 minutes to the dealer in Richmond. When my rear view mirror broke, I thought it would be a fine opportunity to check these folks out. Well, I drove over to see what it would cost to get the mirror fixed or replaced and encountered a service manager who informed me that there was no way for him to give me a price before his technicians looked everything over. When I asked if he could give me a range in which the repair might fall, he didnt attempt to hide his disdain: Anywhere between $100 and $1,000, depending on the mirror. (Note that he did not bother to ask the year or model of my vehicle before informing me that the price of the repair was unknowable.)So, thats all I can tell you. I got into my car, called the dealer in Richmond (who gave me the exact price on the phone), and got my car repaired there the next day. In fairness, I cannot tell you whether or not European Cars provides exemplary service or not. All I can tell you is that they were so arrogant and uninterested in being helpful that driving 45 minutes to Richmond seemed like a fine alternative to doing business with these people. Life is too short to put up with smugness and rudeness when there are other, more professional options out there.

This is my second excellent experience with ECW. The team is pleasant, responsive and skillful and pricing is reasonable. Most recent situation was a tire emergency. I was in and out within 30 minutes.

Got my dream car from them a 2002 Z3m roadster. They were super helpful as I had to travel from GA. Helen was super helpful the whole way through. Answered all my questions perfectly and Saki was very knowledgeable on the car. It was also great to have a conversation with a fellow BMW enthusiast. If you are ever looking for a BMW M car these guys know their stuff and will give you a quality car. Also drove the car 1000 miles that weekend to GA and had no problems. They even checked to see how the car did after the weekend trip. Great people and service. Wish I could use them to work on my car. The car now with 1500 miles added on still is running strong!!! I have only had it for two weeks!!!

I recently purchased an M roadster from this dealer. Everyone I spoke to here was super nice and very responsive throughout the process. Unfortunately I was not able to see the car in person as I live out of state and purchased it sight unseen based on the reviews of this company. I feel I was slightly misled on the condition of the car based on a lot of the questions that I had asked. After spending a small amount of time with the car it ended up in the shop for two weeks. The subframe bushings were bad and making a lot of noise, there was a crack on the windshield, the rear shocks were starting to leak, the subwoofer speaker was missing (enclosure was there, but speaker missing, just wires hanging) and the car would not hold a charge for more than 48 hours. I called and spoke to the salesman multiple times about this. I was told the car had been checked over and had a fresh oil change and service and a new battery. It turned out it was not the battery but the amplifier had gone bad and was causing a steady draw on the battery. Also when I inspected the air filter it was obvious that it was pretty old and had not been changed anytime recent. I do realize this is an older car and I expect it to have some issues. However these were all issues that in the least I feel should’ve been disclosed to me. At the end of the day, I don’t feel anything was done maliciously, I just expected more from a company with such a great reputation. This review would have been totally opposite if their response to all of this had been more than just a “sorry”.

Whether the job is large or small, they give it their all!

I recently bought tires for two cars and am VERY happy with the price AND service. They even used the correct wheel weights for alloy wheels. All the people I dealt with were wonderful.. I think the last reviewer (Michael) was just off his meds. when he wrote the review. I recommend this place without hesitation.

I wish google had a zero star rating. Extremely unprofessional. Was quoted a specific rate 2-3 days before waking up at the crack of dawn on my day off for a scheduled appointment, only to arrive and be told by the service advisor that the owner had changed the rate and cost of labor on the specific job to twice the price I was quoted after being initially quoted for an inexpensive and relatively easy job, given the tools. As someone who works on cars and has family that has worked on cars their whole life, we would not only vehemently push you to not do business here or waste your time, we would urge you to keep your friends and family from supporting a business that reams into peoples pockets and fluctuates prices on a moments notice, rather than maintain customer service and uphold integrity. They will find a way to waste either your time or your money. I cannot find a better word to describe this place than as a scam.

Once again Gus and the boys come to the rescue. They keep my older Mercedes on the road. They also work on my wifes and daughters Car and always give me options before I spend a bunch of money as to what has to be done, what should be done, and what can most likely wait. Honest car guys... who would a thought in this day and age.

Extremely disappointed in owners (Gus) and sons (Chris) attitude/demeanor towards me as a new customer. After being recommended by others for service on my 2005 Mercedes Benz SLK350 (pristine/immaculate condition; 26,000mi), I asked for an estimate for a spark plug and air filter change (I had plugs/filters) and a reset of my electrical/audio settings after a battery replacement. In addition to their attitude (arrogance, bordering on contempt; barely acknowledged my presence; extremely condescending about my knowledge of my own automobile), the price quoted was very high compared to other reputable shops in the area (Howards, AAA, etc.). I understand and appreciate they repair/maintain luxury, high-end automobiles but Im apparently more of a frugal and discerning customer than they are accustomed to seeing.

I have a BMW and had a flat tire while on vacation in Williamsburg. I went to European Cars to get a new tire. Chris was amazing. He didnt have my tire size but he checked the air pressure in the tires and then called OTHER TIRE BUSINESSES in the area to find my tire size. No one had it and I had to settle for my full-size spare but he went above and beyond trying to get me a new tire! I come to Williamsburg every year and will come back to him if I ever have car trouble while here.

I know enough about cars to be able to do a lot of my own work. Im also extremely picky about work that is done on my car. When I need a repair that I cant do myself, either for lack of time or facilities, European Cars of Williamsburg is pretty much the only shop in the area that meets my standards for the quality of the work done and the materials used.

My car failed inspection due to my rear lights. I was quoted over $600 to fix it. I took it to European Cars of Williamsburg. The mechanic replaced a bulb and passed my inspection. The mechanic could see how the situation was stressing me out and didnt charge me any extra. Just for the inspection. The customer service I received was beyond amazing! I will definitely go back.

Honestly I was a little worried that they would be expensive for repairs, given the quality of cars on the lot and how nice their shop and show room looked. I was pleasantly surprised to find that wasnt the case. They were completely fair and honest, and that is something you really dont find in car shops or dealers anymore.I had only stopped in for a normal service, and ended up driving out with a whole new car a couple of hours later. I am not an impulse buyer, and had already been looking for a specific car they just happened to have for sale. As luck would have it, everything worked out great, and I am very thankful to have a shop in town that I can actually trust! Thank you!!

I took my car here for service. I waited two days and didnt receive a call from the shop. I called and asked how things were going with the issue. They said it took two days to find out about the problem. I waited another day and called back after they talked to the warranty company. They said the bill would be $1100 for a coolant leak and the warranty would pick up $600. I explained that I only wanted what the warranty company would cover. They said they would call the next day. I waited until 4pm and called back. The owner explained that he wasnt making enough money on the job and that I should just come pick up my car. I couldnt believe it. I went over, paid for the diagnostic charge and left . I would never take my car back here. The location needs to learn how to treat customers properly. I am now trying to find another place to take my car.

TERRIBLE. The owner acts too entitled to deal with you, then tries to charge nearly triple what the work should cost. He was angry that I had 2/3rds of the work need to pass inspection done somewhere else and implied I go somewhere else next time for an inspection. Very unprofessional, shame on you. A disgrace to the auto industry.

Over the past 15 years & three Mini Coopers, I find European Cars to deliver outstanding, affordable car care. The staff is very knowledgeable, courteous & friendly.

Went there 15 months ago (Dec 2017) for a repair on a 2009 6 series. Replaced my upper radiator hose. A few days ago i find out its blown once again. The owner says those things blow all the time and was only warrantied for 12 months. So i assume their work is only meant to last 12 months.

Brought my car here for a repair. The repair was done incorrectly the first time I brought it back and they didnt charge me for the fix but they damaged my windshield and claimed it was like that when they found it that way. The prices are high. Theyre usually pretty friendly but this experience was a bad one so I wont be going back.

I have an 89 Mercedes 420 SEL, to make the story short..car had some extensive engine work done to it and it was never drivable afterwards..in shops for approximately 2.5 years and I dont even want to think about the money I put in it. I finally just picked up the car..running on about six cylinders and brought it home. I stopped by European Cars and had a conversation with Gus, explained all the details etc. and he says based on what you tell me, I can fix the car..no problem I quickly reminded him that several other shops have attempted with no luck. Still I am confident I can fix it Needless to say shortly after taking the car there I receive a call from Gus, we are ready to go, come down an give it a test drive. Understand that the only reason I was still messing with this car is my wife loves the thing. So I get her and go European Cars to test the car. Bottom line is ...it runs better than when we bought the car !! Perfect idle, excellent acceleration, and a happy wife.
