Dropped truck off to replace factory manifolds with shorty headers. They had it for a day and a half. Long story short, I left with a worse exhaust leak than I came with and got charged $893.73 and I brought in the parts. Brand new. Then to find out shortly after I left shop its a simple fix and taking it to another shop tomorrow, even though a simple fix, still takes time.Will probably be another 1-150(maybe more)to fix their mess up. But they were very nice about it. I am a jet mechanic if and when I send something out the door its right. It has to be, so I am at a complete loss here.

I had the best experience at Meineke. I walked in incredibly stressed. I did not know what was wrong with my car but had a trip coming up and needed the repair done ASAP. The guys at Meineke were friendly and welcoming. They were able to diagnose and fix my car for a reasonable price in just a few hours. Not only that, but they offered to grab me a coffee from next door while I waited. Very thankful for their service and kindness!

Please be aware of your wallet will be emptied.....I took my 99 Toyota Solara for an exhaust issue. After discussing the issue with Rudy, I added for flushing the steering system and brakes system. There were several items mentioned that need to be address. 1 was the Right Rear brakes(Pads/rotors/caliper) and it was recommended that it need to be replaced. Prior to taking it to Meineke, I took the car to a competitor to address the exhaust issue and they did not mentioned about the brakes specially the rear brakes. This auto shop did an expansive inspection and they have sent me pictures via online. They could not repair it and mentioned to take it an exhaust shop. I ask for the cost to repair it, I was quoted $1200+ plus tax to performed a brake job for ONLY the REAR Brakes. I was taken a back on the cost, I was wondering if they are installing Brembo on a 22 year old car so in short it was not done by your company. Then the exhaust system, the car still have the original system when it was bought new in 1999, it needed to be address. I am expecting that the resonator pipe and muffler will be replaced due corroded flanges, age and loss of material. $600+ later the exhaust system was repaired however what was done does not constitute the cost. The resonator pipe was not replaced but repaired due to several small holes that attaches a heatshield. They did replaced the muffler at a cost of $334.49 and labor of 239.93 plus 2.0 hours(25.90)of welding manhours. An OE exact fit muffler can be purchase at any auto parts store for a lot less(150+) and its a Walker product. The resonator pipe can also be purchase which is OE exact fit for less than $100. What was actually done was some backyard mechanic method. The flange was cut from the original resonator pipe then a 4 pipe was added so it can be attached to the new muffler. With that method it push the resonator on a angle that it was so close to the ground that the pipe hit the curve when I was pulling in my driveway and the muffler was twisted. I return the car the following day to discuss it with Rudy and he did say that he will make it right but at the same time he stated that I cannot tell him what need to be done. I am very disappointed with the service and all work completed. The issue was corrected but in total it took 3 days which cost my time and money. For a well known muffler repair shop the workmanship is subpar, I am a local residence in Williamsburg, Virginia and I would not recommend Meineke at all.

Got my tires done by a local shop that doesn’t do alignments and they recommended Meineke. I have been there before but many years ago. They were able to get me in, in a timely fashion and make a slight correction to my alignment. Staff was very friendly and professional. I greatly appreciate them getting me in on a Friday without an appointment. When you spend $1300 on a set of performance tires you want them hitting the road properly and they ensured that.

They have excellent customer service. Dropped car off at night called to explain problem in the morning had my car finished that afternoon all withoutan appointment. Work done was great would recommend them and have decided to continue to use them for all my Mercedes-Benz needs.

I went for an oil change, tire rotation and inspection and got a call saying that my tires that I had put on less then a year ago with less then 20,000 miles needed tochange them to make them safe! I advised them of the above information and was told maybe it was the suspension. I told them to just do what I had requested and got out of there. I took it to good year and was told my tires were perfect. So buyer beware!

It was a great experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and thorough with the state inspection and the minor repairs. Rob Williams is a real asset to Meineke and I will give them my future business because of him.

So I was on vacation and engine was overheating. I took it in first thing in the morning they did a road test and found radiator was out of coolant. I paid the $180 for them to tell me I was out of radiator coolant and they tried to tell me that I needed to spend $3500 for them to open up the engine and replace my gaskets. I then took the vehicle to my mechanic and the only issue was the empty coolant in the radiator. So glad I got a second opinion or I would have paid $3500 and lost 3 days due their fear tactics. The people were nice though and I got quick service

About an hour into our trip, our suv started making some questionable and nerve wrecking noises. We stopped at this Meineke and Im so glad we did. Everyone there is awesome! We were in and out in less than 2 hours. I highly recommend this place!!

We were on vacation and of brakes and rotors were trashed and making a terrible noise. I dropped my car off on a Friday evening and these guys had it fixed early Saturday morning. It cost a little more than my shade tree mechanic but they really got me out of a bind. Great people and they did a great job!

We were visiting Williamsburg, VA on our family vacation and hit a large pot hole. As a result a cover came lose and was causing a significant noise. The guys at this shop we’re honest with us, gave us an accurate time estimate for when they could take a look at the vehicle and were kind all the same. Thank you for a quick and easy resolution to a loud problem that was disrupting our vacation. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much!

We had some work done here that we knew we needed, but declined all their other recommended services. They gave us a huge laundry list of “recommended work” and quoted us over $1300 for changing our spark plugs—another place in town did it a few days later for $300. 🙃 I didn’t have an issue with the work they completed, but I’d avoid them if you have ANY other options. They’ll scam you in a heartbeat!!

Stay away from this place. they could not even install a simple sensor replacement. they over tightened it and left the old gasket on with the new gasket. refused to reimburse the cost. Had to have my trusted mechanic fix their mistake. they wanted it brought back to them to be fixed. Yea let me bring it back so you can break it more.

The work was done for less that it would have cost me at my dealership and the staff was so friendly. A part needed to be ordered and it came in quicker than expected. They worked hard at getting my car back to me by the end of the day when I needed it. The only thing was they left black marks on the carpeting from their feet and a few black smudges around the door handles. I would have set them again.

The entire team was superb. We were visiting from out of town over Easter weekend. Chattering brakes on the drive in would have stopped us cold. Rob was able to work us in and with Rudy and Zach, we were back in fully mission capable mode.I watched several other customers come into the shop who were treated courteously with the same level of concern they had shown me.What a great place, what a great team!

This experience has been a nightmare. I brought my car in to get the axle replaced, and I had issues with pricing and the final work product. When I went to pick up my car and pay, I was told a different total then agreed upon over the phone. Luckily, I asked what the price was before taxes and found out the numbers were off. In addition, they damaged my brake pad sensor when fixing the axle. They acted like they were doing me a favor by repairing it for free, when they admitted that they were at fault. Lastly, when they took back the car to fix the brake pad sensor, they told me it would be done by that day and would call me when to get the car. I never received a call and I had to be the one to call for an update the following day. They said, it is complete and waiting for you to get it. In the end, go find a reliable local car repair shop.

The entire crew treated me well from the beginning through the end. They looked over everything I provided, gave me a best case & worst case scenario of what could happen while installing my exhaust system, provided a way for me to still get to work, provided excellent communication throughout the job, & took the utmost care of my car with a detailed inspection & got the job done right. Theyre an awesome team & I HIGHLY recommend them.

This is a great place if you have money to throw away. They charge you for every little thing and there are no discounts applied, even if the discounts are advertised you dont see them or even hear about them. You ask for one job to be done and they add a bunch of other task with fees. Just wish they were straight forward with their services and prices. I would not get work done here unless they just charge one flat rate or I win the lotto.

Great service was traveling and had exhaust pipe crack on me almost completely around the pipe. Made the appointment online over the weekend and they got me in on Monday very nice online appointment service. Was handled very professional from start to finish for my first Meineke visit.

I had a 10 a.m. appointment, I went there for a simple inspection. 3 hours later they finished no apologies or explanation. While waiting I observed the manager being very rude to another customer. Took car in justfor A/C system diag, recieved a estimate of $2400.00 to repair brakes? And paid $190 for ac evac and recharge. Was told a/c was now fixed and ice cold.picked up car and a/c was exactly the same as when we dropped it off blowing luke warm air. Dont trust this place, just intrested in getting your car in to sell you easy money repairs such as brakes and unable to diag any real issues, not to mention insane est on brake work like $2400. For a $800.00 to 1000.00 repair. Posted by a retired 30 year ASE master tech and certified NAPE Master power engineer.

While on college visits along East coast, we had a belt snap, causing most functions of th Honda CRV to fail including radiator blowing. Had car towed overnight & they were able to access problem, consult with me and get repairs done and back on the road by noon. They diagnosed a ‘stabilizer issue’ that I did already know about and DID NOT attempt to upsell us at all. We were in a vulnerable position and they treated us fairly & kindly. If we lived anywhere near Williamsburg- these would be our guys!

Called and Spoke with a very Nice Guy named Rudy which was able to get me in same day for a free estimate. Very pleased with the service not only was my car done the same day. I Saved tons of Money. By any means for exhaust repairs go see RUDY !

I enjoyed my experience at this shop. The workers were good-natured, professional, and on time. My only concern is that the mechanic who drove my car into the service bay spent several minutes inside it without a mask. I know its not long or a far drive, but it wouldve made me more comfortable if he had done so. Overall though, I would use this shop again.

These guys were so great! I was visiting Williamsburg and I got an oil change at a competitor and that shop did not reattach my under carriage. Meinekes reward program saved me $90. I will return for any additional repairs or oil changes needed for my 2004 Ford F-150.

The Meineke in Williamsburg,Va at 399 Second Street was professional and the mechanics did an excellent job on my car. I highly recommend them.

Someone tried unsuccessfully to cut the catalytic converter out of my vans exhaust system and left a hole that was creating loud engine noise. I went to this store with trepidation that they would try to sell me a new muffler and 1300 worth of exhaust work. To my surprise, they determined they could quickly weld the damage at a fraction of the cost, and got it done in less than two hours. I would trust this shop and go back again!

The staff is very friendly. I met Rudy and Rob and they were a joy to talk to. Very funny and polite. Although, the oil change was a bit expensive, Rudy helped me out so that I was able to take care of my car expense. I recommend bringing your car here.

I have been a customer of Meineke in Wmsbg Va. for several years. The staff are the best, as is the service and attention to detail; as such I would not consider any other car care/ maintenance company

The rear brakes were supposed to take 2.5 hours to replace. I called after 3 hours and was told the car would take an additional hour because they were not sent the correct parts from their warehouse. At the end of that hour (now 5:30 p.m.) I was told they got the new parts but the pads were for the front brakes, not the rear. I was asked if they could keep the car overnight. They said it would be done by 10:30 the next morning. When I picked up the car the next morning I was told the originally quoted parts were no available, so the cost went up $50 over the quoted price. While the brake job seems to have been completed competently, I will not be going back!

Had an oil change and state done. Service was great and lots of communication about the progress. Great location and very professional.

I was on my way from Virginia Beach to Richmond, and my windshield wipers broke while driving in the rain. This has happened before and it keeps breaking in the same spot, so I relatively knew what was wrong but could not fix it myself. I took it to this shop because my grandfather who is a mechanic was all the way in Richmond and I wasn’t sure if I could make it there safely. I got there around 930 AM and waited while they worked on my car, and it got to be 1145. The man called my name and said Ms. Snell your car is unfixable. I said what do you mean? Yes this problem is reoccurring but there has always been a short term fix at least. They informed me the bar that pulls the wipers back and forth was no longer on my car and that they believed it had fallen off, and that they would have to charge me for labor if they LOOKED any deeper. Meaning if they had to use a screwdriver or anything, to even LOOK for the part. I left without paying anything and drove to Richmond in the rain. Upon arrival my grandfather looked at my car and immediately found the part that was “gone”. They were polite and I guess you could say they “tried”. But for almost 3 hours? This place definitely confirmed my stigma against random mechanic shops and I do wish they would have gone the extra INCH to look further to assist me. (this is also the first review I have ever left for any business)

Rudy and his staff went out of their way to explain what my car needed. I had brought my car in for an oil change and annual inspection, knowing that It was way past due for other routine maintenance. He was not high pressure at all, and encouraged me to “shop” the needed work as I know zero about cars. I decided to have his shop do the work, as his price turned out to be reasonable . The work was done in less time than expected. This was my 4 th time using his shop’s services, and I will be back!

Rob and Joe worked togethet as a team to assist in prompt brake repair and even too onk the time to educate me on brake wear and tear and what to listen for to know brakes are wearing down. We have used Meineke for a few years. Today’s service has caused use to never use them again. We are disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the sarcastic remarks from the front desk employee. We put in for a routined scheduled oil change online for 12:30. Got there and they did not have us on the schedule. Finally go to pick up our vehicle close to closing time only to find out they only do one type of oil change (online says different). The price was way more then we expected.The sarcastic employee asked my husband if he wanted them to put the old oil and filter back into the van. His unnecessary comment, attitude and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. We’ve never been treated like this from the Williamsburg location. We would’ve been fine with the changes in price and delay but his comments where unnecessary.

They completely took advantage of the fact that I was out of state and charged me over $680 for parts on my car that when I got home, I showed my mechanic and he said the reason it didnt fix the problem was bc I DID NOT EVEN NEED those parts, my old ones were FINE! Their $50 inspection to find the problem.... there was a nail in my back right tire and the wheels needed to be balanced! So completely frustrated and I feel violated and deceived. Dont go there!! Theyre crooks!Williamsburg, VA Meineke is a rip off! UPDATE: I CALLED THE NUMBER THEY RESPONDED WITH AND EVEN CALLED THE MEINEKE AGAIN. OWNER STILL NEVER RETURNED ME CALLS!!! I dont know why I bother making online appointments at auto repair shops anymore. Its always a wasted effort. I made an appt. for a 2:30 oil change, entered all of my contact information -- name, address, phone, email and what happened? Nothing. When I brought the car in there was no record of the appt. and the desk clerk asked me for all of my info. yet again. This isnt the first time this has happened to me on the 2nd Street strip.That meant there was no time slot for my car. To make matters worse there were 4-5 cars already in the bay and only two mechanics on duty that I could see. By the time I realized what was happening it was going on 3:30. This was obviously going to be a very long wait. I bailed and went next door to Jiffy Lube. Sure, it cost more, but I was in and out within 30 minutes.

I purchased a Groupon for meineke Williamsburg. I called to make an appointment for Friday of last week. I was told that I could not use the Groupon on Friday. The groupon only said I could not use it on Saturdays. I gave in and made an appointment for today (Wednesday) at 1130. I got to the meineke, and they said they now needed to move my apointment to another day as they are too backed up. I never received a call letting me know. I had to drive down there to find this out. Very poor customer service. They are making it almost impossible to use the groupon. The employee acted as if he didnt care if they got my business or not.
