Recommend this place 100%!! Purchased an older vehicle after dealing with the aftermath of hitting a deer. A month after I bought my car I had some serious issues and this place took care of me like I was a VIP! When they returned my car, it ran and sounded better than I have ever heard. I was and am so impressed with how great they were and how quickly they were done. I have found my forever spot to take my car for any future needs.

Terrible experience... Looking for used tires for an older truck. Freds said they had the tires and made an appointment for a week out. Get there, they say they actually dont have those tires. But a set a bit smaller that would do. Told us it would that it would be about two hours, despite having an apointment, but ok. So we gave him our number. Almost two hours later we headed back. To find out that they didnt even have those tires!! And no one bothered to call us? But, they had yet another set that would fit. But we would have to sign a waiver because they dont recommend we drive on them?? We said forget it. The mechanic who pulled our truck around said he had the right tires. But that he was told to pull it around because we didnt want them??

Took my vehicle to GP formally Freds tire and wholesale to get my Avalanche allignment done was in and out great quick service and fair price, but after I got the allignment about a month later I took it to my mechanic to get a stabilizer installed after I got the stabilizer bar installed I picked up my truck from the mechanic who had stated the tie rod nut had not been tightened completely. I had called GP tire and spoke with Mark reguarding the fact he said that if the tierod nut had been loose the tire would have fallen off, as I was explaining this to him and asking if they would warranty it due to this fact he stated Id have to lay for it to get a realignment. I said I thought you warranty your allignments and he said we do but I hardly think that they didnt tighten the tierod nut when they did the allignment and began to argue with me about the tierod nut being loose and had laughed at least 5 times while I was explaining the situation and my problem so I canceled my appointment and stated I would not be bringing my truck there to get an allignment anymore.

Went in for simple tire rotations on our vehicles.The crew was prompt and very courteous. The work was completed quickly and at a very reasonable price.

They are working hard locating parts and also working with the warranty company to get my truck repair done....thank you very much!

Its been over a year since my wife had her Malibu repaired here. She brought it in for a brake job, it took them 3 times to get it right! The 3rd time I came down with her and threatened to report them to the BBB. The subpar work they performed failed today as the rotors needed to be replaced! There unable to do a simple brake job! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS PLACE.

My truck had new wheels and tires installed, now my truck shakes so bad can barely drive it on the highway. They charged me to balance and align, but it shakes so bad and my steering wheel is crooked. They installed an levinling lift and skipped half the parts but still charged me for the labor for all of it. Also they kept my old parts and its a brand new f350 platinum they kept over $1500 worth of parts. My co worker also got tires installed and the installed the wrong tires on his super duty. Had to take the time to return several times to get it right. This may be fine with some people but Im very very busy work and it doesnt work well with my schedule. I would recommend going somewhere else there prices are easily matched other places.

I paid an additional $24.99 for installation, and lifetime tire repair and rotation.Beware that the lifetime “repair” is only as good as your ability to get your vehicle, or tire, to their facility. There is no option to have your tires fixed or rotated by anyone but them for this charge.Not bitter, just completely disappointed in my choice to have new shoes put on my truck. I would have been better off spending another $100 at Costco.

We have been going to Fred’s for about a year and every experience has been great. They truly want to do what they can to make life easier for you and it’s super apparent! They are friendly, fast, and great with communicating. We will keep using them and recommending them to others!

I had 4 tires put on today very good price and great service out of there in 45 minutes.

My mother in law brought her car in after an oil change because she saw spots on her driveway. They poured a dye into her power steering reservoir as that was the fluid they saw was low. They sent her home with the car and told her to come back later. She barely made it home because all the fluid and dye drained out on the short trip home. Her son topped it off and they brought it back. Turns out that it was the return line on her power steering. They replaced the line and said it was still leaking. They then replaced the pump (never explaining why to her). They then Called her the next day saying they were waiting for more parts. I told her we needed to go in together and find out what’s going on. They were unable to tell me how they diagnosed the issues with the pump, just saying “it was bad” when I kept asking how they know the pump is bad. They then said the new part they were waiting for was the reservoir because “we barely bumped it and it broke. I asked to see the part and the mounting holes were all snapped off, almost like someone got frustrated and ripped it off the car when they couldn’t get it off. I ask if they are charging us for the part and they said no. The work gets done and they get paid. Fast forward 3 months and it’s leaking again. I crawl under and look to find the return line leaking, and probably because ITWAS NOT MOUNTED TO THE CAR WITH ANY CLAMPS. The oem clamps the hold the hose in place were nowhere to be seen, I assume they were snapped off by the same person who broke the reservoir. They made zero attempt to mount the new hose, it was hanging by the connections. I brought it up and explained the problem, they said they would call when the problem was fixed. I called several hours later to find out the car was done, and that the reason it was leaking was because they reused the original spring clamps on all the hose connections and they were leaking. Who puts on new hoses and doesn’t use new clamps? When I asked about securing the hose to the car they said “sometime between the factory and now they seem to have disappeared but we got new ones on there”. So, no responsibility whatsoever. When I went to pick up the car it was still on the lift (45 minutes after I had been told it was done). 20 minutes later they hand me keys and say to have a good day. I get home and decide to take a look. I still see drips on the hose which could be residual, but the hose is secured by solid core electrical wire used like a twist tie around the frame. This is the absolute worst shop I have ever heard of. There is no reason they couldn’t have used a power steering frame mounted retaining bracket. This is the most hack job shop I have ever heard of. The original work was half done at best, and When presented with the opportunity to fix their mistake they did the most amateur work I can imagine.

This place is hands down the best shop Ive been to. They really value there customers and I will never go to another shop. I highly recommend you go there. Great affordable prices and they take pride in there work.

Great service! The representatives were very friendly and knowledgeable. They recommended additional service on my car and what it might cost and were not pushy at all! Very refreshing. No additional charge for the recommendation and look over, just great service. The cost of the oil change was much cheaper then where I previously have gone. I will be back again for sure.

Bottom line is there is nothing to be gained by taking your business anywhere else in fact Id say you would be a fool to do so as youll not get a better job done for a better price so why go anywhere but here?

Called in last minute to have two tires mounted on two new rims I purchased. I explained to Gordon that the rims where powdercoated black and I was worried about getting them scratched up. He assured me they do this all the time . These guys did a amazing job and did it very quickly, pricing was fair and the service was excellent. I must always be the exception everywhere I go. Over priced, too long of a wait. Ridiculous. My appt was for 10am, I dropped off my car, and said I would be back in a couple hours. I got back at 12:45pm, and they still hadn’t even pulled it in to get started. It is now 1:55pm, and I am finally leaving. No apology, no discount. Are you kidding me?

I want to Thank You for the wonderful thing you guys did for us today. I brought in a tire for an adult tricycle today. ( Friday before Memorial day ) @ 4:30 pm. This tricycle was for my niece who is half blind and half deaf. All though they did not have the intertube in stock they happily instructed me where to obtain one. Then explained to be back before 6 pm & they could fix it. I returned and they not only installed the new tube but the refused payment. I dont know the mans name but he was Freds Grandson. He told me that he had children and they just enjoy helping people. Please every one DO BUSINESS with this company. After moving to the area from out of state, it is always challenging to find a good mechanic. I must say that Im extremely happy with the service and honesty I have received here with Freds. My husband took our vehicle to have new rims put on. They told him the truck needed new Idle Arms or something like that. The estimate they gave him was $923! The parts were $222 each and $420 labor +tax. When he got home he looked up on a parts website hes used in the past and found the exact parts were minimum $7 to $25. Do the math and see that is pure robbery! I can understand a shop needing to make money but that is outrageous and cost them the job.

Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation, was told my front brakes were at 5% and rotors had hot spots, in need of immediate replacement for safety reasons for $250. I declined and took my car to a mechanic Ive used for 20 years, they put it on a hoist and showed me that all brakes are over 60%, working fine, in absolutely no need for the repair. This sort of dishonesty is shameful, and made me frustrated enough that I posted this review.

Used this place at the recommendation of my dad, who has been multiple times. Honest and fast service with fair pricing. Only knock is that the loaner car they had available was pretty beat up. But it was also free so not a huge deal.

Cant say enough good things about Freds!! My work truck is a 1 ton step van with odd sized tires. They had the best price for the tires installed & balanced. I made a Saturday appt & they were running on time. They held to their timeline as far as installation which keeps me on track for my appts. They couldnt fit my truck in a bay, so they worked on it in the lot with an appropriate sized jack without any hesitation. Drove out of there happy & on point. Helpful, efficient, and friendly. I called early morning to see if they could patch up a flat tire. I called ahead for an estimate of time and they said one hour. They patched up my tire, put it back on, and I was on the road in less than 25 minutes.They have Wi-Fi and plenty of seating so it wouldnt have been a big deal to wait even if it was the full hour.I will absolutely be back (though, hopefully not soon) and would recommend them to friends.Thanks Freds!

Freds Tires replaced my nitrogen tires, which came standard on my turbocharged Chevy Malibu, with General Altimax RT43 tires. Before doing business at Freds, I called several other tire installation businesses. Freds had the best online reviews and the best price. Plus, Gordy really knew his stuff when I called in for recommendations and pricing. Before deciding on the Altimax RT43, I watched videos of road tests of vehicles equipped with RT43 tires. The road tests included dry pavement, wet pavement, and curved roads. One video was filmed in Sweden of a vehicle driving on ice and snow. In all scenarios, the RT43 was either 1st or 2nd place out of 4 tire brands for handling. Freds stocks the RT43, and I was in and out in 1.5 hours the day before Thanksgiving. Gordy also checked the brakes, alignment, and windshield wiper blades on my Malibu. All were good to go. Thankfully, after 5 years of nitrogen tires, I no longer have to take my car to the dealership to inflate my tires. In 5 years, I visited the dealership dozens of times just for nitrogen as the original equipment tires kept leaking and deflating below recommended levels. Despite the claims, NITROGEN TIRES ARE NOT MEANT FOR MINNESOTA WINTERS AND CHANGING TEMPS FROM SEASON-TO-SEASON. Guess that is why they say Chevy Malibu and not Chevy Minnesota. Hopefully I will not have to air my RT43 tires for a very long time. Freds also includes tire rotations for free for the life of the tires. 😄

So I my bf and I took our car to get the front rotors changed and they quoted us 1hr which is typical and fine... however it was about an hour and a half when we realized we hadnt received a call so we call for an update.... they start telling us that the rear brakes need to be changed... okay fine thank you for looking into that but the front rotors werent even changed yet and we didnt even get a call for an update or anything... so we are quoted another 30 minutes.... I dont normally go here but they are right behind my apt building so the location is super convenient, and the first couple of times Ive had car services done through them Ive had no complaints.... today was really annoying and I wont be coming here anymore... I highly recommend payless tires on whitebear ave.

I had to change rear two tires.It took them an hour to finish the job and they charged me around $300 for it. I think they are affordable and I liked the service.
