I was in the market for a new Kia Soul since I passed my 2014 Kia Soul down to my daughter. I loved my older Kia Soul so much that I knew I had to get another. I reached out to Barnett Kia in White Bear Lake to check out their inventory. Of course inventory is very low nationwide but my salesman, Alex Garcia, let me know that the car I wanted was en route to their showroom and would be available in 2-3 weeks. The car arrived earlier than I expected. Alex had all my paperwork ready and Melissa in the Finance Dept. also made my experience very enjoyable. Alex assisted me in setting up my phone and explaining all the new safety features of the vehicle as well as pre-scheduling my 1st oil change and maintenance. Avoid. Everything you recently hear about Kia is their lack of response when it comes to issues with their cars. This dealership confirms this behavior. Multiple e-mails regarding buying a new car with no response. If they can’t be bothered replying to get a sale, what are the chances of a response once the sale is complete?

We recently bought a Kia Seltos from Barnett Kia. I wanted to test drive the vehicle before I bought it. I had called around the Twin Cities and Barnett was able to get me in for a test drive that day. I loved the car and ordered a 2022. Because of the recent car shortage I was told I would get it by early July. But of course it came in early! This was indicative of my whole experience! These guys are great! Its clear they take a ton of pride in their work and took great care of us. So much so weve bought 2 cars from them in less than a year!

I came here to get my recalls fixed and after I got home I noticed they changed my dip stick and changed my oil and left a mess on the top of my engine block. When they were only suppose to take care of my recalls. I did not ask them to change my oil due to I just got it changed. Also I went to have someone change my oil and my oil drain plug would not go back on and I came to the conclusion that it was stripped as you can see by the other oil drain plug in this picture. Not very happy with this dealership and will not be taking it back here.

Barnett new car dealership is a down to earth facility meant for running a solid business and sincere service. It might not be glossy window display of fancy vehicles and extravagant customer relationship setup, but decent place makes modest cost savings to be passed on to customers. They know some brand names don’t have Toyota quality but they add additional drive train warranty on top of factory ones. That put to rest worries on major engine and transmission repairs if the model you select does not preempt lemons. That helps consumer confidence. No haggling on sales tactics to trap you in upfront.

I had a wonderful experience buying my car. Ken was very friendly and informed on every question we asked, told lots of great stories while we were waiting. He thought about what cars would work for us with the prices we were looking at. I would recommend looking for a car here, very nice environment and staff.

Let me start by saying I don’t write reviews. The buying experience went fine. The servicing of my vehicle is a headache. Three week wait to fix my heat/defrosters in the middle of winter (before Covid). Recently I had to take my car somewhere else due to the collision center appointments being 30 days out. Today I have to take my car somewhere else for an oil change due to a 3 week wait (appointment only). I feel like they were excited to sell the car but not so excited to help me maintain it now. If you’re a busy person like me their lack of open scheduling for servicing will become your headache. Probably will not be buying from Kia again for this reason.

I had my heart set on a Telluride, as the reviews are outstanding. Unfortunately the whole world had the same idea. We found some incoming Tellurides, but Barnett Kia was the only dealership who allowed us to secure one with a payment. Although this was enough to sell me on the dealership alone, the staff we also beyond amazing. Our sales person Ken was funny, patient & made me feel comfortable making a big purchase. He & the manager were patient when my son was making the process a bit difficult, they even gave him some Kia hot wheels to take home - such a great touch.I cannot recommend Barnett & specifically Ken enough!

Respectful, friendly, fast.For free, Patrick updated my ECU to fix the engine knock issue Kia formally owned up to in January 2021, and went out of his way to check out all the other open recalls and set me up for service. I’d spent months hassling other Kia dealerships to help me - most gave me the cold shoulder and/or wanted to charge me $$$ just to diagnose.Patrick for President 2024.

Hank the salesman was super sweet, detailed everything. We wanted to pay cash and unfortunately the owner had no wiggle room on the price as he stated, the used car market is booming. Which in turn told us, we arent looking to make a sale now and get you guys into a good a good vehicle they just wanted to make the most money. And thats fine. We took our business elsewhere and got the same vehicle, better options, less miles for 3,000 less because we were paying cash.
