This place has gone down hill. I got Mongolian beef tonight to take home. It should have been Mongolian onions. It was at least 90% onions. I picked the beef out and it was also so salty I couldnt eat it. We wont be back.

Im pretty sure the pepper chicken was cooked yesterday or the day before. If you want something to drink, youd better take it in with you. We went hunting the server 3 different times to fill our glasses.

Good to get out of the house. Food was good, service good, just some items slow to come out to buffet. Still, food was good.

Usually with my experience, this place is amazing but my family has experienced food poisoning after the reopening after COVID and now sadly I have finally had it. Id give more stars but not until this food poisoning thing is under control. These experiences were once every month.

Had ordered take out and while they were busy it was worth the wait. The girls in the front were so nice even while being in rush. Food was hot and fresh.

Experience was normally fine, as relatively new customers. However, this time, they dropped the ball in incorrectly taking our take-out order and shorted us one of the ordered meals, which was undiscovered until we got back home. We called to inform them and and they apologized for the mistake. To avoid awkward and embarrassing moments in business, despite distractions all around, when taking customers orders, the staff really needs to pay attention to what the customer is saying.The food however, was enjoyable. Just not enough of it at the dinner table. This time.

I would give it a 0 other than the food on the buffet was ok. It wasnt clean though. There was old food left on a plate from the clean pile where dishwasher didn’t get it all off. There was Condensation from the air in the ceiling vent leaking onto the Buffet. Staff was rude and terrible at customer service. We was never asked for refills. Never was checked on to see how food was. The hostess sat inside the restaurant talking to her family at a table the entire time making people wait until she was done talking to pay. Other people was having to go up and find staff to ask for refills. The food can be ok but with customer service that terrible, uncleanliness and the staff that rude I will never return and I will be sharing my experience to anyone that ask.

This is my favorite place to get beef and broccoli- the service is always fast, friendly, and the food is always fresh I can’t get my takeout as good anywhere- hell even in St. Louis it’s just not as good!! I wish I could give ten stars honesty!

More like the old style Cantonese restaurants. But they did have modern Asian fare like sushi. Good prices. Lunch seems to attract an older crowd. I do not think the waitresses spoke much English which is OK if you are getting the buffet. Very clean restrooms. Very efficient in and out - great if you do not have much time.

Very rude service when I ordered through the drive thru. Will not be spending any more money at this establishment. Theres other local businesses that will talk and treat customers like actual people.

I don’t recommend unless you have a toilet to rush back to afterwards! The entire family went to eat there and the food looked as thought it had been sitting out for a really long time, waitress was sitting down rolling silverware not checking in refills or taking plates. Not worth it

Yummy. All the food was fresh and many options. Also the place seemed really clean.

There are two in town. This one is more bland and very little spice. Some in the ozarks love it because of that, but not me. Too bland and not a great selection. For example, General Chicken has no spice to it, which its supposed to. Sushi is not good at all.

The soda was bad. Didnt taste right. Otherwise food was good. Not enough but good

I love this place I stopped here on the way back from visiting relatives out of state this is in West plains Missouri it is take out only but its well worth it its not Americanized they make everything just right yum I drive all the way from Mountain Grove Missouri sometimes to get this if the weather is permitting. I pray they never close their doors and they dont change Cooks cuz if they do they just lost my business. If you want it more Americanized where its bland or whatever go to the other place but I think this place is better thats my personal opinion I wish we had one in Mountain Grove Missouri because what we have in Mountain Grove Missouri is the same old boring stuff they only make two things beef and chicken end of story no sea food or wong tong soupand they make their egg drop soup the right way not thick like stew. So this is my personal go-to place.

Hands down worst chicken. They’re chicken is dry and hard, like it’s been microwaved over and over again. Half their menu has chicken and they can’t even get that right

I didnt actually order anything therefore I dont know how the food is....I took my daughter in law to get food and the guy that took our order was INCREDIBLE.....he was nice, funny and actually cared. She ordered a lot of food so we were asked to pull up and wait, which wasnt a big deal she placed a huge order so it was understandable....when we did get the food we left of course and when we stopped clear across the parking lot to wait for traffic and heard someone smacking my car......lol....ikr......and when I looked out the window it was the guy from the restaurant that took her order,he forgot to put one item in and chased my car down just to give it to us.....WOW......THANK YOU!!!!!

Standard Chinese Buffet nothing fancy.

Food was cold. They open at 11:00 AM, we arrived between 11:15 & 11:30 and the food was cold and had very little taste. The waitress was nice, thats why I gave them one star. Will not go there again.

My future son in law absolutely loves this place. He will eat there any time & have at the very minimum 3 to 4 plates not counting the dessert plate. The food is good tasting & is your typical traditional Chinese spread. The staff was very helpful in explaining what some of the dishes at the buffet were & how its made. The price of lunch on a Friday for 4 adults was phenomenal. Thanks, Chen!👍

Best chinese in west plains

We went there once. The food was great. Very clean. Curtiouse staff! !! The only 1 thing that was different was fried rice. Color different and the flavor.

I ate at this restaurant for lunch for a school event recently I had the buffet with a drink . The food was okay but when I was at the cash register to pay for my meal I gave the cashier a $20 bill because I heard her say $18 and something cents. I received a little bit over a $1 in change, then they quickly and rudely rushed me out which made them keep my receipt. I then asked another person about how much they were charged for the exact same meal, they replied with $8 and so much cents. I quickly went back to cashier and was told to sit and wait, which I couldnt because my school was leaving. I made a call to the restaurant to get my money back and they were nice about the issue and mad it seemed like that they intended to fix the issue quickly.

Ive always loved this place. Its nice and offers a calming place to eat and relax. The buffet is a great choice for kids and family. The food has always been fresh, with a good amount of diversity to pick from. I love the work that went into the wood as decorations along with the fish tanks. Go eat and chill.

Burnt and frozen chicken, the same piece of chicken. Burnt rice. Burnt noodles. Rock hard fish or super rubbery fish. Poor service, no one was there when we arrived and we were moved for no reason. Very limited buffet and expensive for food a child could have made better!!!!! Highly do not recommend!!!

I eat here very very very often. Today I decided to bring an individual with special needs here to eat lunch. It took quit sometime to be seated then when asked what drinks I said sweet tea with lemon for myself and an empty cup for the individual. They gave me a cup of water. Understandable that’s an honest mistake due to it being an odd request. Well upon asking a second time I was given attitude and overheard the hostess and waitress saying “empty cup empty cup” over and over and laughing along with other words in their language of origin. I’m not sure if I took it wrong but judging by how they acted I felt they were making fun of I and the individual. They have lost my business and I’m very disappointed in the staff as a whole. Also the food was decently good if you like being critiqued the entire visit. Would not recommend.

Would have really liked cheese on salad bar. I know thats probably not something the Chinese eat, but we do here in America. Ive always enjoyed this place (round 15 years now). Just more of a request.

Very fast service, and given this is my favorite type of takeout, obviously I enjoy the food. The reason its 4 out of five is that the drinks arent included in buffet price, so you tend to feel a little cheated. That being said, fairly affordable, good food.

Food wasnt that great and they forgot part of our order. I tried calling them once I got home to tell them they had forgotten part of it and no one answered, so we came back a couple days later to talk with them about it and they said they couldnt do anything about it unless we called in the day it happened and told them then even though I explained to them that we tried to. Then they told us because we werent able to get ahold of them that day and they werent able to pull the receipt that they couldnt give us a refund or our order even though we had already paid for it. Terrible customer service and probably wont eat there again if theyre not going to do right by their customers.

Really filling and good food. Some of the foods are kind of cheap and not authentic, but it mostly tastes like Oriental food. Service could be better but its not bad. Good for an All you can eat kind of night!

Used to be a good place for lunch. Went there last week for 1st time in months. Will NOT eat there again. Waitress/ hostess was coughing over the green beans she was cutting up and coughing aroung customers but NOT covering her mouth....spreading her germs everywhere! Food this trip was very sub standard! No longer on my list of places to eat.

Chens food was good as usual. It was unfortunately they was out of many items on the buffet. Price you pay for good food.

Many smokers in the front area, and really loud, dull knife to cut tough meats with. Other than that, its fine. Kings garden is better though.

Only giving it a 1 star because I cant give it 0 stars! Made a large to go order inside the restaurant. Got home (30 miles away) and we were missing part of our order. I called to let them know and the owner calls me a liar. All I wanted was what I paid for or my money back. She continued to call me a liar. On top of that, the chicken was cooked too long and not edible. GO TO DIAMOND HEAD! BETTER FOOD AND SERVICE!

I rated Diamond Head four stars and I like it better than Chens but Chens doesnt deserve only three stars. I tended to feel more comfortable in the dining room at Diamond head. Food very comparable. My advise is to choose them both and see where the service is better.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. Food choices on buffet were minimal and nothing tasted good. Hostess was hateful and manager was a down right B-word to put it in nicest terms. My family and I went for lunch and was not impressed by any of the food on the buffet when we requested a fresh entree to be made for us instead of the buffet the manager informed us that we would still have to pay for the buffet even though we hadnt eaten anything. My family and I have never been treated so bad by a restaurant in our entire lives and we will not be going back. Excellent food and excellent value. You dont get a ton of food in the drive thru but for the price it is a great value. Dine in is always fresh and hot on the buffet.

The food is really good and as usual with a buffet if you order food of the menu its even better because its fresher. Service is promt prompt and courteous. Been there several times and enjoyed every time. I dont know why the rating is so low? Its by far the best Chinese in town!

Great Chinese buffet

Food was bland. No seasoning in fried rice, no sauce on lomein. Ramen noodles taste better. And why call plain cream cheese in a fried shell crab rangoon? Because it has a shell? There certainly wasnt any hint of seafood, or anything else but cream cheese, in it. If I hadnt got it to go I would have sent it all back.

Food is good, nice servers. The place is cleaner than most buffet places. There is less selection but higher quality than other buffet places.

Decent food. But watching them empty fishtank water into a sink where they fill your drinks is a little disgusting. And I know it is not sanitary

Great food but concerned about the two cockroaches that we saw on the buffet. We told our waitress but she advised that someone would be coming to check it out. Haven’t been back since. This restaurant was our favorite Chinese restaurant because of the taste of the food but this experience ruined it.

I was quite happy with this place. I travel a lot and its hard to find a good Chineese Buffet that keeps its food fresh and hot. This place did a good job of keeping food moving through the line. I will go back again sometime.

They added an extra person to out bill, and tried to make us pay for someone who didnt exist. Good food though.
