I have had experiences all over the place here. Tires seem to be a good deal.I took my truck in as I needed brakes. They quoted $3000+, then they called back and said we can do $2850. I took the truck to the shop next door and they quoted me $800! Really. I actually ended up also needing an abs sensor/bearing and 2 rear calipers. Just under $1500 with the extra work. Iw will not be going back to Firestone for mechanical work.

Bought tires from Tire Rack. Got them shipped and installed here. Seamless experience. Cost came out to $91.50 for installation, tire recycling feed, and rubber valve stem fee.

I recommend people avoid taking their cars here. I genuinely wish I could leave this place 0 stars. I made an appointment a week ago to get work done on my car today at 8 am. Power steering had a leak and brakes were making noise. I get there and they tell me it will be a 6 hour wait, so I paid for an Uber to get home since I had no other ride. They call me 7 and a half hours later to tell me they unfortunately ordered the wrong part and cant fix the issue until possibly Monday. Seriously?? How do you not realize until 7+ hours later that you have the wrong part?? They should have checked to make sure they had everything they needed before taking my car apart. I then had to wait an additional hour (even though I was told it would only be about 40 minutes) as they put my car back together since I have work on Monday and cant leave it with them. They told me they at least dusted the back brakes and those shouldnt be making any noise now and claimed they test drove the car to ensure the brakes sounded fine. I paid for yet another Uber to get back to the garage and I asked why it had taken so long for them to inform me they had the wrong part and the guy admitted they waited until the car was already pulled apart to open the box for the part. On my way home, my brakes were STILL making noise so they couldnt even fix that problem! I paid $40 in total for my both my rides to/from the Firestone only for my car NOT to be fixed after having had it for 7+ hours.

Stopped by to get a quote for hood release hatch wire and without even looking for cost of wire, the gentleman told me 600.Went to Midas in Groton and did the work for 300.

Went in for an oil change on a Friday and experienced a slight inconvenience. Jon went out of his way to remedy the issue and really showcased great customer service skills and customer retention, a concept I find lost within these autocare franchises. Glad to see they prioritze their customers needs over corporate greed.

Took a quick run by for emissions. By far the fastest Ive ever been in and out for the test. All in all it took about 10-15 mins. The sails reps were on top of their game and very professional! I would reccomend going here for atleast emissions.

Had a really great experience here today (9/7/2020). I came in because I needed new tires and a brake fluid flush. I was also experiencing a vibration in my car at about 30 mph. I hate that I didn’t get their names but everyone from the guys at the front desk (Roger and another guy) to the technician (black hair and beard - I believe his name was Richard) were very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. They would pull me aside after they ran tests/inspections and explain the results to me and what my options were. They would recommend against fixes I read about online even though it would have made them more money if they felt it wasn’t the right fix for my car. Never did I feel like they were trying to rip me off. Them taking the time to explain things to me helped me understand what they thought the issues could be and trust their recomendation on the path moving forward. None of them were condescending or rude. Everyone who was available got involved in trying to figure out what the issue could be. I ended up leaving with the vibrations seemingly fixed for 11 bucks. Mind you this was all on labor day when several of the car shops were closed. The mechanic (Richard) especially went above and beyond to try to figure out what was wrong. They have pride in what they do here. This was after I had gone to another repair shop in another state and they charged me $20 just to drive my car around and tell me nothing was wrong with it but that they could probably sell me new tires to fix it. This place has all the inventory of a big car shop but the feel of a local trusty car shop. They saved me hundreds of dollars in potential experimental repairs. I wish I had brought cash to tip them with. Will definitely be back every time I have car needs. Thank you guys!

Just had the nicest experience getting my emissions testing done at Firestone in New London. The guys at the front were so friendly and funny and theIthe service was so quick, I just had to write a nice review! Wish I had come here sooner!

Drove 30 minutes for a 3:00 pm appt. Ionly to be told they cant get my vehicle in. Poor app and with zero communication and uncaring counter help. Rate it zero stars!

Used to be my go to place until my last experience. Brought in my car for a diagnostic and they tried to oversell and upsell me on services needed for my car to the tune of $600+. Took it to another place for a second opinion and they checked my car over, told me everything else was fine and fixed the two things that were a problem for less than half of what these guys tried to charge me. That was almost two months ago and my cars been running smoothly ever since. I wont ever bring my car back here now that I know what they try to do. The service is nice and the workers are courteous, but the business practice is shady. Do your research first so you dont get ripped off.

John and the crew went above and beyond to get new tires on my wifes Jeep for me and I cant say enough good things about this location. They stood by a faulty set of tires and got me into new ones on the spot without any issue. They did a great job with the installation were very professional and courteous. Its rare nowadays to see a company standing behind their products like they did and I will be back for my next set of tires as well.

Just had an emission test, great experience, it and out, painless

Today i received great customer service while getting a new set of tires on my Honda civic. From the employee who reserved tires for me and booked my appointment to the man who sat at the front desk. They answered all of my questions and provided me with much information. I believe it was Danny who rang me out, who was super nice and personable. i was approved for the credit card where i now get $100 rebate, next oil change for free card and he even price matched a competitor! Satisfied customer and the tires feel great!

Strike 1: I walked into the store, the two guys that were in the office looked at me and continued talking to each other as if I wasn’t there, 2-3 minutes later after they finished talking, I was acknowledged.Strike 2: I picked up my car, I was told my brake pad sensor was worn & had it replaced, I was charged $113.80 and I still heard squealing when I applied my brakes but I ignored it.Strike 3: One month later (which is today 10/24/2020) the same warning ⚠️ light about my brake pads being worn is on AGAIN. I just spoke to John and he said “they checked the front sensor so it may be the rear sensors” I’m done with this location, NEVER going back.

I brought my car in for tires and during the process they accidentally clipped a break line. Although the cost was passed on to me, Roger met me half way and covered half the cost of the repairs. That’s the stand up sh!t you don’t usually get with national chains. This is a great store.

Multiple times I have had my tires put on to tightly and within a week of an inspection where all 4 tires should have been taken off and the brakes inspected 3 studs on my wheel assembly snapped while I was driving my car with my 2 mo in the car glad my families safety is top priority was told the only way they could do anything about it was to look at the now immobilized car so I would then have to tow my car down there so Im sure they could cover it up and tell me there was nothing wrong with my car and it just happened because some pre existing problem with the car. I will NEVER go back there again.

The first time I went here for an oil change, they were so friendly and helpful I had such a great experience. They said my car was in perfect condition and I had a great car in general. The second time I went for an oil, they tried to scam me. They told me I needed $100,000 worth of work done on my car and I better start trying to get the work done the day of the oil change because it was very important. I told them I needed to call my father first to talk about it. Later in the day, my dad called and they backed off and told him that the work can be done in the next 80,000 miles and that I only needed a couple hundred dollars worth of fixes. That was definitely the last time I will ever go to a Firestone!

Do Not Bring your car here!!!!I waited over 2 hours for an oil change and a tire change! I had an appointment as well. Did not make a difference. When I asked them why it took so long the smug response was that is how long it takes! They said because I brought in a rental car there were more requirements. My response was that I had taken rental cars for oil changes before and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Their rude response was that the others did not do the job right! It gets worse!I called the day before to get a tire replaced. They asked for the make and model and said they would order one. I finally get out to my car and the tire is a different kind from the others! After asking why it was a different tire from the one I ordered, another guy got in my face and aggressively stated that he said he told me that he would order a tire! Not a matching tire! He told me I should be happy with it cause the original tire was too expensive!Is this how you want to be treated???

He worked at he firestone in Norwich for a wile and when he made the move to New London so did I. Hes sold me tires for two of my three cars and when the third is ready Ive got him on speed dial. He always gets me exactly what I want and I might add that its always the BEST. Both sets of tires I purchased were excellent, Destination A/T and the affinity touring. I would recommend Firestone tires to all of my friends, family and Clients and you can bet that I would send them straight to Kris!

I absolutely will never go to another Firestone as long as Mike is here! I 100% trust him with all my vehicles. I recently went there though and I noticed they had coupons for something like 10$ off. So I asked the guy why he didnt give me one (its about $120 for my oil change) he said he gives it to me after I pay thats how they get you back in! I was a little upset because he could see in the computer Ive been coming back with 3 vehicles and Ive been going there for a while! I told him something like that would keep me from ever going back! He didnt care. But like I said I go because Mike is awesome! Honest and done right the 1st time!

I dont normally write reviews, like EVER, but honestly I feel compelled with this story.So I paid for 4 new tires at Town Fair Tire in New London. After about 90 minutes, the tech at TFT comes out and says We cant get your tire off, its rusted to the hub. After a half hour argument with how ridiculous it is that a tire shop cant get the tire off, they actually sent me away with 3 out of 4 tires done and one loose in the bed of my truck. If a tire place cant get my tire off, what am I supposed to do? Go home and hit it with a sledge myself for an hour? Thats nuts!I called up Firestone and Gary said, come on down lets see what we can do. Within 20 minutes, they not only got the tire off, but they also mounted the loose tire that TFT left me with. Then to top it off, THEY DIDNT EVEN CHARGE ME! Talk about good business!You better believe Ill bring my familys business to them in the future even if its out of the way. Way to go Firestone! Impressed.

I shopped around for a set of tires for my girlfriends acura mdx..thru research i found that the bridgestone dueler h/l alenza plus were the best option..im a big fan of nokian but they dont have the size..the bridgestones have nokian technology in them..town fair tire states NOBODY BEATS them..well, you got beat..in my call to james at this establishment, he was to the point with the best price (after some small discounts) and no b.s.i was treated extremely well,got me in and out in a reasonable time for tire install,alignment and oil change..james was direct with his answers and no sugar coating.(this could be misconstrued as condescending).i have been in the auto business for over 50+ years and i appreciated the respect..i will go back and recommend.

Expensive! Had work done by a small shop near them on Bank Street instead for half of the price in the same amount of time. Couldnt be happier I got a second opinion before letting them do the work on my car.

Very, very poor customer service. I Was quoted price online for a simple tire change at this location and then the person at the store tried to charge more than double the quoted price. I had to question and dispute the difference repeatedly before they admitted they were overcharging me and would honor the original price. Then they did not have it ready at the promised time, said they didnt have time to mount the tire on vehicle when I was guaranteed it would be done and included in the price. The manager became very rude on the phone and did nothing to remedy the situation. Its clear they rely on volume, not quality or keeping customers happy. Too bad the district reps do not mystery shop the location because Im certain they would fail miserably and that changes would be made.

They change my two front tires and they broke one sensor valve, next day I went to the dealership and I bought the part $102+taxI went back to install the part for free because they broken plus my time back and forth and the guy in charge refused it and told me the sensor broke in my pocket he is an idiot for $15 job he is losing $k do not trust that place that is why is not busy in first place.I learned my lesson

Quoted me $550 for new tires and charged $650. Ruined my rims when installing the new tires. Manager promised to make good on the damage and never followed through. Brought it back (my mistake) for a plug a year later and they plugged the tire and returned it to me leaking and unusable for $21. If you value honesty and your car, this isnt the place for you...

Had to wait 50 minutes for a VIN check! Ended up not being able to get to the DMV in time after taking time to leave work early. How freaking long does it take to just Check the VIN#? Also they only take cash and dont have an ATM which is super inconvenient, had to run to CVS to use their ATM which took another ~5-10 minutes. Make sure to give yourself enough time to sit in a chair for ages watching Fixer+Upper on HGTV after handing over your keys. 😡😤

Go in to get a wheel bearing replaced, and all of a sudden Im told the breaks are about to fail. Weird, the car still stops perfectly with no squeeking or shuddering or sliding. Tell them maybe, Ill have to talk to my dad, and leave. Somehow, mysteriously, neither of my break lights work now coincidentally starting the moment I drove my car off their lot. Had my neighbor look at it, and they disconnected the break lights in the breaker box. Shoutout to the scum of the world that works in this shop and is okay potentially killing someone for some extra work. Do not go here .They will legitimately try to get you killed.

The first time was slow, and then sped up, which what nice. The second time they only have me one choice or the highway, the total price was 2500 just to look under the engine and maybe fix simple things. Mark that works there is really cool and kind!

Would not even give 1 star .. dont bring your car here even if you spend more than 900 bucks for 4 new tires with warranty and 3 months later a tire blows and they dont even back up their own warranty that I paid extra for. Then it cost me another 800 bucks on top to fix the new tire ... save yourself from this even the manager threatened harassment on me because I called him everyday and they refused to back my service there .

I will be going back to Firestone New London to request they reimburse me for further repairs to my Jeep after they proved to be incompetent at installing a new exhaust system. If they pay for these further needed repairs, I will at least give them kudos for owning up to their mistakes. If not I will illustrate why one should stay clear of this service center when you need car repair

The gentleman I spoke with on the phone regarding emissions was very unfriendly. Won’t be taking my vehicle there.

The techs cant troubleshoot anything, they miss diagnose issues that dont exist. One visit i need a new C/V joint the next i dont. They cant perform a proper alignment it still pulls hard to the left. They damage your vehicle on two visits they stipped lugs and lugnuts even snapped a few off the first time they payed for labor i payed for parts the second time they payed for everything. Scratched the heck out of a aftermarket rim and wont replace it.
