That lady is out of touch with reality. She missed her first appointment, was totally clueless as to how to calm her child down. How can a stranger calm down a child theyve never met before if the parent who lives with the child cant calm the child down? If she knew her child would not cooperate, which she did, she should have gone to a pediatric dentist from the start. And shes right, there were no more patients in the lobby, because they were in the treatment rooms, because you cant work on someone in the lobby.

This office has moved to west palm beach. I would not recommend this office to anyone with a child. We had a 4:00 appointment and arrived at 3:35. Quickly in. Filled out our check in information on a computer which was great, fast and convenient. After that it was absolutely horrible. We went to the room/area and the woman told me to put my daughter in the chair, I asked if I could sit and she sit in my lap and she said that was fine. So we sat down and she wanted my daughter to open her mouth and of course, this being her first dental appointment she was a bit hesitant. She started to cry so I proceeded to try to calm her down. She said we can do anything if she doesnt stop crying. So I held her in my lap so she was facing me and I had her open her mouth which she did, and then I asked so what will we be doing. She then showed me the little cleaning thing or whatever it was they were going to use and my daughter got scared and started to cry. A lady from somewhere else in the office came in and started using hand gestures like no no no they need to leave. So the lady said yeah sorry. And then before I could ask anything the doctor walks in and says can I take a picture of her and I asked if they would be doing anything on her today and he said not if she doesnt stop crying. I said so how do you guys usually deal with pediatrics patients when they are upset or crying and he said he relies on me to that, its my job. And then as angry as I was with his arrogant response I said ok give me a second to try to calm her and then he said we have to hurry, move along. I have other patients waiting (which by the way there was no one else waiting in the lobby at all) I was like are you serious. If shes not gunna stop crying we cant do anything. He was rude. The lady who walked in with her hand gestures where she thought I couldnt see was rude. And when I said I was going obviously be making a new dental appointment elsewhere his response was well why would you say that. I was literally in shock at how they treated us. It was my daughters first dental checkup and both of us left crying with absolutely nothing done and not even five minutes in the exam room. How do you treat pediatric patients if you cant manage to allow an obviously scared child more than two minutes to calm down. Definitely stay away if you have a child, who may or may not be scared.
