I love living in these apartments! Cecilia was the one who gave us a tour and gave us a great first impression of this place! She’s great she’s so friendly and very kind. After we moved in all the staff has been super nice and helpful. I love all the amenities they have here and that they text you if you receive packages and maintenance orders are handled fast. It’s a great apartment complex !
My whole moving in experience was great. I had a great leasing agent Cecilia. She made sure I was going to be taken care of before she went on vacation the week of me signing my lease. When I did my walk through of my apartment I gave them the report of repairs and they were very prompt in making sure maintenance would get there and get it fixed.
What would inspire a company to look you straight in the face and lie? lala lames. Id rather encounter those that dont allow fear to distort the truth when is bushes especially
Thank you Angelo for helping me today, not only were you super friendly, you went above and beyond helping me with all my questions and now looking forward to being a future resident with you guys.
I’ve been living here for one month so far and it’s been such a great experience ☺️ I came home to a card on my door telling me “Happy one month anniversary”, signed by all of the members.I’ve never felt like an apartment cared about their tenants more than this place. Cecilia in the front office was who helped me get settled in the first place, and she was very up front and honest about everything. Letting me know to reach out to her if I had any issues getting settled. Being a fresh 20 year old living on their own, I feel very safe living here. Been an incredibly pleasant experience so far!
Just moved in this weekend and so far it’s been great. Since I first applied Cecilia and the others have helped me every step of the way and have been incredibly courteous. It’s close by to everything I need yet still quiet.
I went on a tour with a friend to help her find a place to move. Kimbree showed us around and was WONDERFUL. Even though Im not looking for a place, she made me want to live there! She was professional, funny, and knowledgeable. She showed us the amenities and told us about maintenance and everything else we needed to know. Great tour experience!
I am so happy I went with Embarc! Cecilia was amazing and answered all of my questions and made my moving experience much less stressful
My friend and I went in for a tour without an appointment and was immediately greeted. The leasing agent Kimbree was amazing. She went through all the pricing and availability with us. She was kind and seemed very knowledgeable. She walked us through all of the amenities that they had and showed us 2 apartments. It was a great experience!
Wayne has been a great handy man for us, he is always quick and courteous. We have enjoyed our time at embarc and employees such as Cecilia and Wayne have enriched our experience. Thank you!
The location of the apartments is great! The amenities are superb! My little families favorite is the pool and jacuzzi and we definitely appreciated when they extended the pool days before and after the pool season! The dog park could easily be larger and a kids play ground would be fantastic! The price of the apartments are pretty pricey. Most of the staff are nice especially Cecilia! She has always been in a good mood, nice to my kids and is always so helpful!Thank you!
Kimberly has been so much help! every time we need help with something she’s there. My dog Elle really loves coming into the office, during our walks to say hello to her. Thank you Kimberly for always being there for us, not only as a staff member at embarc but also as a friend!
Embrac at West Jordan is a huge apartment complex and it’s a great place to live. It’s near everything from gas station, grocery stores, places to grab food and I love how there is grass, trees and fireplaces which makes it look and feel peaceful. If you are trying to call the office to inquire, it’s best to come in person and you will find yourself appreciating you did the drive. Kimbree is your go to Agent because she has been so amazingly helpful throughout the process and very informative. She works really hard to make sure you’re pleased and will answer all your questions. Embrac at West Jordan is under new management and I hope throughout my stay I will have great outcome for safety, updates, and a positive environment.
I have always had a pleasant experience living at Embarc Apartments. Since new management took over, the experience has only gotten better. The communication is great and there are community events every month. Any work I need done in my apartment is completed within 48 hours. I can see myself living here for a few more years.
I would’ve given 5 stars at the beginning. BUT!!!!Hidden fees EVERYWHERE. When I first got they said all we had to pay was rent, power and internet if we wanted. THEY ENDED UP TACKING ON ALMOST 200$ WORTH OF HIDDEN FEES. Ended up paying for everything they said we didn’t have to. Lied straight to my face with a smile on their face.
Just moved in, and it has been great so far. My leasing agent Kimbree was very nice and helpful throughout!
My experience with Embarc and Kimbree has been great! Everyone has been welcoming and helped us feel very comfortable!
I’ve lived here off and on for years they still need s playground and to put some rocks in the dog park but it’s a pretty nice community close to everything and all that if you don’t have a car.
These apartments are decent. It’s a great and quiet neighborhood most of the time with friendly neighbors and friendly office people. Only reason that I gave it a 4 star rating was because of the apartment itself. It’s nice looking but the carpet is HORRIBLE. It pokes our feet because there is no edge trim at alllll in my apartment and we can lift the carpet from some places if we tried. Seems the people fixing up the apartment did a very sloppy job. Once they invest more time into fixing them up, I bet they will be beautiful apartments. Also the New management seems great and the amenities are awesome.
I had a great experience getting moved in kim kept me informed on everything and walked me thru every little step. They are so fun And helpful im thankful to call this clean and neat place home with awesome management :)
Ashlin was very helpful with all the information that I needed to know about the complex, and the tour she gave was very nice. Ashlin is such a great young lady to work with. Thank you for all your help Ashlin I appreciate your time.
The layout of the Bryce apartments are super convenient for a single person or a couple (like myself). Very clean and pet friendly which is amazing. Leasing agent Kimbree really helped with reassuring that this was the perfect place for me!
Kimbree and Cecelia was very helpful keeping me updated on my apartment and helping each step of the way! Very helpful and kind.
I love the office staff but my first weekend here I went all weekend with no heat. I called the emergency maintenance line 3 times and never heard from anyone. Other than that I love my new home and plan on being here for a hot minute!I want to add how extraordinary the maintenance staff is. Wayne has been a superman and I cannot even begin to tell you all how much I appreciate him! Erick has also stepped up and has been amazing. Thank you guys ... Got laundry done in my new set. Woot Woot!!
Was having mail troubles after I moved out of Embarc. When I called in to see where my security deposit was it was confirmed with me that it had been mailed out to me and that I did not have a remaining balance. A month later I get a call about my late payment for the painting charge touch up they apparently had to do after I moved out and that they were going to send the bill to collections since they hadnt got a response yet. It seemed to be forgotten that I had called in after I moved out asking where my security deposit was and I did specifically ask if I owed anything and they said no.This place will charge any amount to you that it can and they wont notify you until its to late. They have cam fees and security fees even though things like catalytic converters are stolen on a weekly basis. Id choose a different complex thats upfront about what you owe.
I just moved in and i love it here! the staff is so nice and willing to help in any way they can!!
Cecilia is a great asset to Embarc. From day one she has made my transition to Embarc a pleasant one. Shes been very helpful and available for my questions. Ive been here for a few days now and though Im still getting settled, I feel at home here. Pleasant staff, atmosphere, and great amenities. The energy is great and relaxing. Im so glad I chose Embarc!!
Very Professional and was a great experience viewing apartments and moving in. Kimberlee went above and beyond to help answer any questions and had and was very helpful!
Kimbree gave me a tour, gave me all the info I needed, and answered all of my questions! She was so helpful and made me excited at the though of living at Embarc!
I am shocked at the bad reviews on here. I have been living here for a year and love it. Any issue or concern I have had is quickly addressed. All staff is friendly and willing to assist with any questions Ive had. I just renewed my contract because I have been so pleased. Rent is affordable and the complex is clean. The management left out doggie treats and a cute sign to write messages and draw pictures in chalk around the complex during quarantine. There is always fun stuff happening and email updates for anything to be aware of.
This is not a terrible place to live but we had not had a great experience. We have lived here for 3 months and the AC has not worked for 2 of those months. After putting in request after request to get it fixed and having people come look at the ac unit they finally gave us notice that they would replace the unit. A week later (in the heat of July) we still do not have our new unit. They don’t offer any sort of compensation for not delivering what was promised (working AC). Overall the amenities are nice and the price is decent for the apartment.
Great place with a friendly staff.
Literally the worst place I ever lived. The place was infested with bed bugs. Literally the first day we moved in they were all over the place. Then they tried blaming us. A few days later I met one of the neighbors and they informed me theyve had bedbugs for months on end and the apartment complex was taking forever to deal with it.
HORRIBLE people to work with. Not professional, rude, sarcastic. I’m very glad we ended up going with some place else. The property is nice, but I wouldn’t rent just for how awful their customer service is. 2/10 recommend. I see why they just have over 2 stars.
Not the best place to live. I only been here for 5 months. Literally the first day I moved in I just had one problem after another. The office staff is nice but the communication with the Maintenance team is horrible. Just hope my Living experience here gets better.
THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE TO PAY 900 EVERY MOUNTH THEN THEY CHARGED ME FOR 1200 THEN I GO TO THE OFFICE AND THEY SAY NOTHING THEY JUST JUMP TO CONCLUTIONS AND DONT TELL ME WHY DONT GO HERE AND THEY CHARGED ME FOR A DUSTPAN ON MY PORCH AND OTHER PEOPLE HAVE PLANTS,BIKES,AND GARBADGE
Ignore the reviews about the last management team. The new management is great! It seems the office is pretty busy every time I visit, but they do a good job getting through everybody while still being genuine and helpful. They are very responsive and keep the grounds safe and pretty. Ive put in a few maintenance work orders (just normal wear and tear stuff), and they get around to it really quickly. Wayne is awesome--he came the day after I placed a work order with new parts and quickly fixed what needed to be done. After he left, I noticed he had fixed something else I forgot to request! Plenty of visitor parking and within a 10 minute drive of almost anywhere Id need to go. They have awesome amenities and sometimes do free contests/giveaways. Its a pretty quiet community (I love not having obnoxious and loud neighbors), but it is also has social opportunities. They have on-site laundry rooms that use laundry cards you get from the office, so you dont have to worry about constantly having quarters lying around. Very pet-friendly and the apartments are really cute.
Absolutely amazing and friendly staff! I loved touring the place! It has so many amenities and for such a great price! Embark is definitely in my top places to move when my lease is up! If you havent gone to tour, its definitely a must see! Youll LOVE it!!!!
Dont move here. Management is terrible. They rarely address issues in a timely manner. You can NEVER get a straight answer from anyone. Manager says one thing, someone else in the office says another. Maintenance is awful. Theyll come to fix something, but they end up having to come back several times for the same issue because they cant get it right the first time. Policies are never enforced. Dogs running around off leash attacking other dogs. Cant ever enjoy the pool. People are always inviting twenty of their friends to come and swim, too crowded. The indoor basketball court is awful. The floor hasnt been swept or mopped since the 90s. Your hands are black after playing. They wont even spring for new nets, theyre tore up. My son and I bought a net so we could play. The apartments themselves are not worth the rent. Theyre too small. The bathroom is literally the size of an airplane bathroom. Look elsewhere.
I had a studio unit at Embarc and it was the perfect size for what I needed. I lived here for about 9 months and never encountered a problem with the staff or maintenance. Cecilia at the front office is honestly such a nice person. The apartments are older but the price was great. If you’re ok with an older complex, I’d check this place out.
No firewalls and shared attic space means my apartment smokes when my neighbors do it inside, and management wont help at all.It hasnt been a horrible place to live other than that, but the lack of response (Ive been trying to get clean air in my home since I arrived over a year and a half ago) made this somewhere I recommend avoiding at all costs.ETA the fees they charge on move out are ridiculous. I dont recommend this place to anyone.
My girlfriend and I have been living here for about a year now. It has been our very first apartment together and it has been a great experience. The maintenance crew is A1 and the office workers are very nice and easy to work with in my experience. I don’t have any issues or complaints for my time living here!
SCAM!!!!!DO NOT MOVE IN!!!!! Me and my husband only lived here for 4 months and then decided to buy out our lease. We were told that the apartment was newly renovated and that we would be the first occupants in the apartment(but everything was broken). When we moved in the countertops were falling apart it reeked of mold and weed. It wasn’t clean at all. Our front door was dented in, the locks on the windows were missing, the AC was broken (went out 3 times after move in) and when we were moving out we found black mold growing by the water heater. We left this apartment better then when we moved in. This apartment complex is a scam artist. We never received a garbage can from them and now they want to charge us $50 for one. I’ve been trying to talk to them but they are just ignoring me. When I to speak when them you can tell they don’t care. And are probably hope I will give up.
I living here almost 3 years. The people who manage Embarc are awesome even Maintenece guys help you with anything you need, nothing its perfect in this life but communitys areas are in good shape, its located on a privileged corner on redwood road, you have everything you need close, stores, banks, supermarkets, mechanics shop, pets store, access to any freeway or highway etc. Every year I decided to stay here because its hard to find another place like this. Great job guys keep doing what you do. Thanks.
TL:DR - Management is neglectful as well as maintenance. Even if you are patient and cooperative they will try to screw you over. I DO NOT RECOMMEND for your own sanity.I lived in these apartments from Sept. 2018 to August 2019. I had 4 issues with my apartment during that time. I had an issue with a leak in my ceiling above my shower head coming from the apartment above me. I called the emergency on call maintenance and they completed all the work in about a week. I had no problems there they were helpful and gave me updates. Then at one point I came home and had ants all over my kitchen floor along the floor board. I always kept my apartment clean and could not find where they were coming from. I submitted a maintenance request but never heard anything back. Finally after about 2 weeks I went to Ace hardware and took care of it myself. Then in June 2019 I woke up to what sounded like rain in my bathroom. The water heater in the unit above me was leaking and it destroyed my bathroom. I called the emergency maintenance number and they stopped the leak. This was the day before I had planned to go on a family vacation to Minnesota. I thought this would be a perfect time for them to come and get all this done while I was away. Nope. I came back a week later and there was a hole in my ceiling where they had to remove the dry wall, water was still leaking and there was a puddle of water in my bathroom. I called again and they said they thought they had fixed it. No one ever came out that evening and it leaked until the next day. After a week of running the fan they said they would come and patch the ceiling. When Friday came around nothing had changed so I had to call again to see what they were gonna do. The next week they said they were going to work on it more and never did. It took them about a month to eventually fix the problem. Then in July my AC stopped working. They finally brought in a portable AC unit as a temporary fix. It took them several weeks to fix this issue as well. I decided I didnt want to deal with the headache of the apartment and signed the intent to vacate. I didnt have a new apartment lined up yet so I did not have a forwarding address yet. I moved out at the end of August and wanted to do the move out inspection. I received 2 emails from the office regarding the inspection. I called the office 3 times and left voicemails asking when I could come in and go over everything. I never heard back from them. 2 months after I had move I received a call from a collection agency (IQ Data) saying I am being charged $430 from Embarc. Never did I get a phone call or an email saying any of this. When I moved out I did not leave the apartment a mess and if there were any damages it was from the flooding I had in the apartment. I paid IQ data because I didnt want this to affect my credit but I definitely should not have had to pay it in the first place. I definitely feel like I deserve my $430 back from Embarc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this apartment complex.
Great place to live! Lots of Clean, up-to-date amenities to use!! Great staff! It’s nice to know that you can walk into the office and be greeted by nice friendly people that are always willing to help!
I have only lived here for about a month, so far everything has been smooth sailing. They recently were bought out by new management so Im keeping my fingers crossed that means good improvements. My neighbors are really quiet, hardly any noise which is great. I honestly dont really run into anyone. They have plenty of parking which is also really great for when you have guests over. Seems like they are making an effort to turn the place around.Update: I just moved out last month after ending my 10 month lease. I would have loved to stay another year but I just couldnt afford to live on my own anymore. I was very happy to receive part of my deposit back since I was worried after reading previous reviews. Overall I enjoyed my time living here and enjoy all the updates they made during my stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Great experience so far! The complex is dog friendly, and has many amenities. Having moved in the day after Christmas, the staff was efficient and thorough in making sure everything went smoothly for me. Every time that Ive needed to get in contact with management or maintenance, Ive been able to. One of the leasing consultants, Cassie, has been a tremendous help since day one. Any issues or repairs have been tended to right away.Sometimes there is a bit of dog poop on the grass, or baggies built up in trash. Not surprising, since most everyone owns a dog here. Management does enforce that tenants clean up after their pets, and has reiterated it recently due to people not following.Over all, Ive been happy living here!
The process of applying and getting set up to move in was incredible.Sabrina, the assistant manager, walked me through the entire process and was so patient when answering my many questions. The leasing staff in the main lobby were also very helpful, friendly, and quick to reply to all of my emails.Im very grateful to Sabrina and the staff at Embarc for making this a seamless process for me.
HORRIBLE!!! WHAT A SCAM!!!! My girlfriend (18) and I (19) lived here always paying rent early and keeping to ourselves. We were at a point in our life that we could follow our dream of moving to Oregon, upon doing so we had to mail in our final payment as they werent able to take our final payment electronically. Come 04/22/19 we got notice our last payment was due 30 days from then. After putting the money order in the mail on 04/25/19 we also reached out to the Leasing Office to let them know it is coming and received a Thank you confirmation the same day (04/25/19). I called multiple times trying to confirm that they had received the final payment in which I was told I would be receiving a call back from a manager to discuss the payment as we are in another state now. Not only did I not hear back from a manager that SAME DAY LIKE I WAS TOLD; I NEVER RECEIVED A CALLBACK, FROM ANYONE!!! AT ALL!!!! Concerned with where our funds had gone I continued to call and call to try to get ahold of ANYONE yet NO ONE is there to answer the phones. Come 07/30/2019 I receive a call from a Third Party Collections Agency (IQ Data in WA) stating that the rent was never paid. WOW, what a way to end your day. After telling the agency there must be some confusion because we paid, the agent Mika stated they arent going to want to talk to you. WHAT A JOKE!! I have tried calling Embarc at West Jordan MULTIPLE times today to get to the bottom of this, yet again NO ONE ANSWERS!! (Although I should have never had to call, as a manager was SUPPOSE to call me back) Not to mention the absurd numbers the collections agency is coming up with. Left multiple messages to the Leasing Office today asking for a call back to get this disputed so it doesnt hurt our credit (we are now 19 & 20) and yet I STILL have not heard back. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR MONEY!!! PLEASE LEARN FROM THE SCAM THEY PULLED ON US!!!! Absolutely SICKENING.
Overall this was not the worst place to live but it definitely wasnt good. Its very poorly managed. Whenever I had a problem the management would either say there was nothing they could do or they would say they would take care of it and then it never would get taken care of. When I put in my 60 days notice of leaving they lost it. Luckily I kept my copy so when they tried telling me I never turned it in, I could show them the proof I did. Still took me going into the office 5 times for them to finally fix it.The apartment itself is decent, worth what I was paying I guess. The maintenance people were friendly but they always parked their golf carts behind my car so I was always having to find them and tell them to move their carts so I could get my car out. It was very annoying. I would not recommend living here.
I love living here. It is centrally located to a lot of different businesses and an easy drive to access the freeway. I love the amenities they offer as well. The pool, outside BBQ grills and gym are all a bonus and the hot tub is open year round!! I never have an issue with noise, maintenance or dealing with the office. Anytime I have needed help Cassie is always there to answer any questions I have. She is always super friendly and able to help me right away. Thank you for all that you guys do :)
I live here at the moment not for much longer. Do not live here a cardboard box would be preferably to living here. In less then 6 months my wife and I had out cars broken into and mine stolen. Property management does nothing to help your problems be it in the appointment or just on property.Update: Dear Embarc Management if you would like to improve to a 5 star experience start be getting better management because the two you have in there now are horrible.
I have lived here for 12 years now, and I would never even consider living anywhere else!! The management, the staff, and my neighbors have all been wonderful and I couldn’t think of a better place to call home!! Having lived here so long, I have fixed my apartment up so that it looks like a home, and it is like heaven to me. I guess Im just one of those lucky people that has found his personal refuge from the world. You will not find a more conveniently located apartment complex in the entire valley!! I would strongly recommend this complex to anyone looking for a home. You’ll know as soon as you meet the staff how great this place truly is!! I just want Darren and his maintenance personnel to get some recognition for all the work they do to keep the tenants happy. They are always cheerful and always say hello. Whenever I have a problem with anything they are always there and have gone above and beyond the call of duty. My balcony/patio thats right outside my bedroom is the best selling point ever. Ive sat in my balcony late at night and in the mornings when the sun is hitting the balcony in gorgeous morning rays. Its quiet and peaceful. My other balcony located outside my living room is cozy and calming. I really love living here. If there is ever a time that management decide to turn this complex into a condo, I WILL buy mine!
We would love to live here but no one answers the phone at any given time or day, including business hours. We have tried the options of leaving a message for the leasing office and management but we have not heard back or the call will randomly hangup on you. We live on the other side of the valley and understand that at some point we will need to physically visit the property but in the meantime some communication with their staff would of been nice to see what availability and options are.
DO NOT MOVE INTO THE SOUTHWILLOW APARTMENTS!! Living here was horrible, but not only that, moving out was HORRIBLE!I have been calling and calling to hear back about receiving our deposits back and they never answer their phone. When they do answer they tell me that their manager is busy and they will have her call me back and she NEVER does. Finally I get an invoice in the mail for charges that are absolutely insane for things that we shouldn’t even be paying for! We got charged for rent again that we had already paid, street light charges, and drip pans?? Not only that but they are saying they need to replace the carpet because of red stains all over but would not show me the pictures of these red stains or take me to see them in person! The paint on the walls is layered up to the point where when you shut your door, it falls off of the walls. The pool is disgusting, the laundry rooms smelled like mil-dew and the washer/dryers were so dirty, the gym hardly ever had working equipment and the management did not care about anything besides $$$. They charged us over and over because they didn’t have proof of our insurance that we had sent in multiple times. Finally they found it and retracted the last charge but it was already too late for our four other charges that we had already paid! One of my biggest mistakes was living here. Rude employees.
I have lived here a long time and enjoy it. The management has always treated me really good and I have good neighbors. Im excited to see the new improvements and cant wait for the pool area to be open. I have nothing negative to say about Southwillow.
Ible management, tiny apartments.when moving in they said they renovated the apartment. The place was covered in dust, appliances fell off the walls, my fridge door fell off and maintenance asked why I unscrewed the bolts UNDER THE FRIDGE. Girl, please. 🙄🙄🙄the management team is unresponsive and rudeWendy was the only helpful one. They have out false renters info when I tried to move out to the complex I was moving too. I guess it was the wrong account they were looking at so some persons info was given out without concent.long story short DO NOT MOVE HERE
Staff is excellent and friendly. Prompt at getting things fixed as well. Only problem is with pricing, bit expensive, especially for the size of the apartments. Other than that, my experience here has been very pleasant.
Very poor quality. Neglected to inform us that construction would begin on the outdoor dining area, pool area, BBQ area, and dog park the week after move in, and that they wouldnt be available for use for another 4-6 months.Apartment was filthy upon move in so I had to wait another week to unpack. It is a smoke free community, however our downstairs neighbors smoked nonstop and nothing would be resolved after issuing complaints.Dumpsters are always overflowing into the parking lot making for a bad look and smell most of the week.Clubhouse and model apartment are much different than the actual apartment. Real vs fake granite counters, new vs old cabinets, floors are squeaky and uneven, ac/heat is out of date and inefficient to use, 2 windows were so dirty they didnt even slide open anymore. Laundry facilities are hit and miss. Very understaffed. No perks. Gross part of town, cops are there often.
They refuse to fix anything. My new, overpriced apartment was DIRTY, including a dirty trashcan that they require us to have for “trash valet” service. It took them a week to replace it after me calling them repeatedly. (It’s a miracle if they actually answer the phone). There was black mold under the sink... they SPRAY painted over it.There’s black mold around my windows... they spray painted it and left streaks of residue on the windows. They left the spray paint and a nasty rag on MYYYY dresser in my apartment. There’s something under the carpet that keeps stabbing my feet and I have a gash on my foot because of it. They haven’t fixed it yet (I’ve been here a week and a half). They haven’t come to do the cleaning that the apartment NEVER GOT BEFORE I MOVED IN, so there are other people’s nasty food stains all over the kitchen. The AC barely works. The bathroom sink is clogged. There was even someone’s used Q TIP in my apartment when I moved in.N A S T YandL A Z YandU N R E L I A B L Eare the best descriptive words for this place. Horrible, horrible management.
Worst apartment to live in period. I didnt give anyone problems during my 3 year stay. I kept rent paid on time each month, and when I decided to move out I gave them ample time in advance.Management were extremely rude after I moved out. Even though I ordered Stanley Steamer for carpets, spent several days making sure EVERYTHING was clean..the management took my whole deposit and also charged me extra for everything that was spotless but claimed it was dirty and need replaced.Security was terrible. I had clothes stolen from laundry, someone broke into my apartment, and car was stolen. The old management helped me but the new management a year before I moved out...what a joke.UPDATE: now after countless years later they decided taking my whole deposit and charging me extra wasnt enough so they had a collection agency want to charge me over $6,000 in damages?!?!?! Damages to what exactly... holy hell what a shady place.
Figured Id share an experience I had while inquiring about an apartment here.I never lived here but I did inquire about a studio apartment a few years ago. The gentleman at the desk broke down the cost of everything and showed me an apartment. The apartment, by the way, was very very small. The main room of the studio was only big enough for a queen sized bed, and that would be pushing it. It looked clean, but was super cramped and all rooms (kitchen, bathroom and I think there was a small laundry room too...)were all tiny. When we got back from the tour, he told me all the fees associated with living there, and how he would waive my pet deposit, pet rent, and other various fees. I never sign anything without thinking it through and sleeping on it. When I told him that it sounded good, but I wanted to sleep on it, he got a little irritated and said something along the lines of, if you walk out that door everything will be full price. I wont be able to do this deal again. That kind of rubbed me the wrong way. If your place is so good, why the hard sell?I would take caution before living here, read the reviews.
I do no not even live here but I came to check them out and the manager Wendy? was a complete B****. When I first arrived she sat in her office and watched me wait for the next office staff to be available but she literally sat there and watched me wait while she wasnt doing anything either. I Went to check out the apartment itself and it had a horrible smell of cat piss and cigarettes but she simply said some candles should cover that smell. Like I said I didnt live here but just from my initial experience, it was horrible. Keep looking for apartments, nicer ones for same price, bigger space, new appliances, better location. Dont waste your time.
Seriously people, do not live here. I made the mistake of ignoring these reviews and moving in. I honestly should have listened to all of these reviews saying how horrible this place is. When I first came and checked out the apartment everything was great. They couldnt show me the actual apartment I would be getting because it wasnt available so they showed me one exactly the same. When signing my lease no one told me about all the fees they add on to your rent. I even called a week before my move in date to see my apartment but still was told I couldnt see my actual apartment until I moved in. This should have been a huge sign. When I moved in the apartment was not like the one I saw. I was told I would have hardwood floors and received carpet. Turns out they ended up firing the lady who helped me into my lease because of how much she screwed it up. There was nothing but lies being told to me.On top of all this the fees are ridiculous. I was only told I had to pay for my $15 parking stall and my $9.40 trash bill. Turns out 2 months into my lease they are now hitting me with sewer fees, water fees, street light fees and an administration fee. NONE of this was told to me before signing my lease. Also, I was under the impression (told to me by the person who signed me up on my lease) that I had until the 5th to pay my rent. Turns out she lied about that too and I got hit with a $150 late fee for paying late, and was told if I didnt hurry and bring them an extra money order for the difference before they posted the notice on my door there would be an extra fee. This place is ridiculous and I wish I would have never moved in here. I cant wait for my lease to end, and am honestly considering just paying to get out of the lease at this point.Just whatever you do, DONT RENT HERE!!
First of all, I want to say that I like the location and amenities of this apartment and most of the staff is very kind and helpful. Especially Stephanie, who works in the office. She is very easy to talk to and instantly makes you feel at home. Others have not been quite as welcoming. 😕Overall I would say this is an okay place to live. However, I do have a few disappointments. While I understand that the management cannot control the tenants on all levels, it is very annoying because the entire property smells horribly of marijuana. Our neighbors are also not very good at cleaning up their dog’s waste. We had a lot of maintenance issues when we first moved in but eventually we had those resolved. I feel like they didn’t do a thorough walk through of the apartment before we moved in. The carpet was covered in cat hair which made me have awful allergies. Thankfully, they did clean the carpet and my allergies got a little better. When we moved in, the apartment also reeked like cat pee and weed. We are still having a hard time getting the smell out. They have great amenities but hot tub has been closed for a while now which is understandable. The part that bothered me was when they sent around a flyer saying it was open and a few days later it is still closed. If you’re going to say a place is open it should be open. It was also frustrating when I was told me the gym was open 24/7, yet when I went down there one night the security guard told me that it was closed and that it closed at 10. I don’t know if this was a one time thing but it was very frustrating. These apartments aren’t the worst. I have lived in worse places however I do hope that they get these things sorted out. One thing I would say I do like about the management here is that they do try hard to get the problems solved when you bring them to their attention. I don’t know if I would recommend living here unless you are one of the most patient people around.
I recently moved in and i cannot be more grateful to be here. For my very first studio, this is more than i could have asked for. i love all the upgrades they did to the facility and can not wait to experience more. so far it has been great and i cannot be more thankful. the staff made the process easy for me and i felt like i really didnt do anything. They are great to work with and they were very welcoming. i appreciate them being on top of things and making things alot easier for me. everytime i come in, they are very positive and treat me more than just a number. They have a new assistant manager and i can already tell shes going to be an asset to the amazing team they have already. big thanks:)
I went in here a few weeks back and spoke with Veronica, She didnt even get up and shake my hand or anything, I had to ask her for her name. She didnt tell me about the local area after asking her. While sitting at her desk she was playing on her phone and the other girl behind her had a customer also and I over heard how professional she was with the gentlemen she was helping. I refused the tour because she was so unprofessional. I called back every other day checking for a day she was off, I came back in on a Saturday to meet with Samantha, She got out of her chair walked over to me greeted me with her name, she asked me to come and sit with her, she was very informed of the local area gave me great places to eat. I went on the tour with her she knew the apartments and even more she was very kind. she didnt only talk about apartments, she also carried on small talk. she never once pulled her phone out nor did she bring it on the tour. The girl Veronica gave me a bad taste about the place if Samantha wasnt there to save her I dont think I would have ever came back. Samantha needs to be the face of this company very kind person and she knows her stuff. I think this place is so bad because of Veronica. Samantha informed me she was transferred to the area within the past few months and I believe it is the best idea they every had. If I do rent from them it will because of Samantha. I believe she should move further with this company if you had more employees like her your review wouldnt be a 1.3... I give it a 2 because veronica was so horrible. Samantha should get a 5.
When we first moved in, there was a strong cat urine smell stuck in the house. We had to wipe down all the walls, have the carpet re-cleaned because of visible cat hair in it. It was very unlivable at the time, however we got the smell to go away after deep cleaning it ourselves. We had an issue with our refrigerator were the freezer wasnt working properly. We put in a maintenance request and they brought over a different one. This different one was covered in cat hair and smelled horribly of cat urine. The smell was so bad, that we had to place it outside the apartment one night and then put in a request for a new one the next morning. After the maintenance guy complained about having to switch it out again, they did. They stated they fixed our old one and brought that back, however, it was having the same issues. After a few weeks of going through this whole problem, they eventually bought us a brand new refrigerator which was nice.We have had minor maintenance issues since then but they get fixed pretty quickly so no complaints in that regard. There is a lot of dog waste around the property. They made a new policy since moving in where you can get fined for being caught leaving it which seems to of helped a little. I did have to knock on a neighbors door and call him out on it though. The hot tub is always closed. They open it for a day or two then it gets closed for a week straight without notice. Once we even received a flyer stating the hot tub was back open, so that night we went all ready to take a soak and it was locked with the maintenance sign up even after advertising it was opened again. Our apartment usually smells of marijuana because of the upstairs neighbors. When they smoke it somehow gets into our vent system in our laundry room and fills the house.Overall, 2 stars. I have lived in a place far worse than this, but have also lived in nicer places. The reason for two stars is because of the good aspects such as maintenance is pretty good with responding and fixing most issues and management does do activities where you can win gift cards or rent discounts which is pretty cool. Be aware if you are allergic to cats! In the end, I will not be renewing my lease, as I already regret signing it in the first place. My advice to staff would be to make sure an apartment is 100% functional and livable before posting it for move in and to fix the hot tub issue. Having a pool and hot tub is a huge attraction to most people moving somewhere, as it was for me too but I cant even use it.
Definitely would not live here again. Buildings are old and outdated. Roads here are a total nightmare. And I got absolutely gouged with fees moving out for a studio that had mold in every windowseal. South Willow would be better off tearing it down to start from scratch.*lovely update* got a collections notice on the apartment 2 years later. Avoid this place like the plague!!! You will pay for it. Literally
This place is TERRIBLE! do not move here. One maintenance people come into your apartment without even knocking.. they never deice the sidewalks when it snows so you almost bust your ass every time. also they have a tow company (Legacy Towing) come in and tow cars if their tags are old, even though you are in fact registered. I parked my car late on Friday night I woke up to go to work on Saturday morning at 6am. I come out to my car being gone. they said my car isnt registered and that is why it was towed.. I have proof my car is in fact registered until 09/2019 per Virginia DMV and they told me the tow company isnt open on weekends so I am suppose to wait until Monday, I also have a car seat in there for my daughter and I cant get it until Monday either so I am pretty much screwed. THIS PLACE SUCKS! OVER PRICED AND TERRIBLE ALL AROUND. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
Ive been at southwillow since August 1st and since the new management, my experience has been nothing but great. Staff is super friendly and helpful mainly Cassie she is the one I usually see when I go in and she is always very willing to help! Its really nice in the middle of the apartments. They have firepits that are all modern and cool looking. They have new nice grills and nice gym/pool/hot tub. Courts for basket ball inside and outside and things for other games. They have garbage valet which is pretty rad in these cold days. Havent had any trouble with maintenance. Ive noticed everyone who lives here is pretty friendly! They have a dog park! Which my dogs love. I live in a remodeled apartment and its modern and nice looking.

Cecilia was awesome.Thank you.
This review is going to my lengthy description of this apartment complex...A simple overview is do not move here.I’ve almost got lawyers on this place several times mainly due to poor book keeping.- The first time I was charged twice on my rent; they simply told me it would go to my next months rent. Which was very unacceptable to me so I contacted my bank for the double charge and they fought to get my money back.- The second time is when I tired to break my lease due to medical issues. Of course I couldn’t due to the contract.- The last time was a my last payment that I paid for in full. A year after paying this amount they said I still owed it and trying to take me to court. Please note I did not get a notification for a year about this bill.. The interest was outrageous amount. I couldn’t even contact them due to me having to go through the lawyers. Please don’t read their pathetic sympathy comments below to convince you to move in.They’re not a great place to live.
Great place to live with kids, I lived there for almost 3 years and i lived the experience, I only moved because i found a house, but if i hadnt found this house i wouldve stayed there for sure. I would actually say those could be Luxury apartments, has a pool a gym with televisions, and the workers are really nice. Would definetly reccomend living there.
Embarc will EXCEED all your expectations... in the worst way! 😊 My husband and I lived here for 2 years and had several bad experiences. Upon moving in here, the management had somehow LOST our lease and agreement. Instead of following records that they had emailed us they had printed up a new lease entirely with rent being $100 more a month as well as a deposit being $700 instead of the $200 we agreed on. Too bad theydidnt tell us this until the day before move in, when we had to call them to verify all the details. We would’ve found alternate housing but my husband had military orders and we had very little time for moving.MAINTENANCE: Upon moving into the apartment we had multiple maintenance issues that were poorly addressed. Our shower rod, toilet paper holder, closet door and cabinet drawers all fell off within the first week. Following this our fridge door fell off and maintenance had the audacity to ask us “Why would you remove and take the bolt from the fridge door?” Anyone else just take fridge door bolts for the fun of it?? 😂 Another maintenance request put in, our dishwasher broke and left a disgusting smell in our apartment. It’s okay, we only had to deal with it for 2 weeks, and again had maintenance blame the issue on us. Last of all, we were meant to have our filters replaced in the apartment, they happened to “accidentally” skip our apartment. We submitted a request to have this fixed and had maintenance come in and put half a pool noodle on our water heater? Job done guys, (seriously, what a joke.) 😂😂MANAGEMENT: I will start off by saying that Wendy is the only capable employee in this establishment. Whenever we had any issues we began going directly to her when possible, otherwise the job was never done or not done correctly. They had a decent turnover of employees who always seemed to mess several things up along the way. This included misplacing our lease after moving in (yes, after initially losing our lease entirely after move in, they somehow misplaced it a second time.) our biggest complain was upon moving out, we had to inform our new renters of our previous rental history. When contacted, Kate gave out the wrong renter’s info. Causing the complex to believe that we lied about our renters history and payment history. Not only did this severely delay our move in process but Embarc was giving out other renter’s info. (Again this was something we had to go back to Wendy to have fixed.) On top of the fact that they preferred to do all exchanges verbally without written proof, plausible deniability for everything that way right??COMMUNITY: The community is the only reason why this establishment received 2 stars rather than 1. We had a great set of neighbors that were very respectful and made it worth sticking around. It was generally very quiet around the neighborhood and most things on the grounds were upkept nicely. We did have an incident where our car was broken into and some belongings were stolen. We reported this to management and told them that this should be reported to other residents to keep an eye out. They ignored this request and later that week another car was broken into as well as an entire vehicle stolen. As well as several of the amenities being closed or not working properly a lot of the time. Along with several times of entrances being blocked by SWAT teams, leaves a sense of safety? 😊RENT: Little bang for big buck! Incredibly tiny apartments with poor management completely overpriced. We were paying around $1100 a month for less than 700 sq feet of space. (Bit of a hint: if you are looking to move here, make em negotiate the price 😉 trust me. They need tenants at this point, they’ll have to.) Also, make sure to read your lease. It’s almost a guarantee that you won’t see a penny of your deposit. The cleaning fees included are meant to siphon every dime! P. S. When we receive our forwarded closing charges I will make sure to upload a copy of all of it to my review! Trust me, we’re already prepared for insane charges.
Do not rent an apartment here. The worst management that I have ever had to deal with. Customer service is a joke. I spoke with the manager named Wendi Richards. She doesnt have a single clue on how to run this property or have any type of customer service skills. She will tell you one thing that this is how the contract is written out and thats how they have to follow it. But when a situation occurs and its not in the contract she doesnt want to follow the contract anymore and will say I dont know. She should know this is her job and what she gets paid to do. She had a huge attitude and was very disrespectful. This issue occurred when we were moving out and we did everything they told us to do. Gave the 60 days notice and paid the amount that we were told to pay.... 2 weeks after moving out I get a bill showing that my deposit is is all eaten up and I still owe an additional $340.00... They hit me with a late fee because there office was closed on Sunday (12/3/17) and they werent there to take my payment (late fee is applied 12/4/17) so now Im stuck with the late fee and I went in to talk to her and she did nothing to help me out. Worst manager ever. Wendi will never be able to give you a reasonable answer to any questions you have. Stay away from this place and save yourself the money and hassle.
So far living here hasnt been too bad, but it needs improvements. They NEVER answer their phones. I have a problem with their mail package policy, if something doesnt fit in the mailbox, they keep it locked in their main office. However, my schedule keeps me from being able to make it to their office to get my stuff. Therefore, I go weeks without my stuff before getting in there to pick it up. I feel like they can accommodate me somehow, even drop off my stuff on my patio. My fridge is TOO BIG, so when I open it, it digs into the drywall. There is currently a huge hole in the wall thanks to that. My apartment has always had a weird, mildew smell to it. There is not any windows, so I get minimal light. Also valet trash is mandatory $20 a month, but I live right next to the trash can so thats a rip off. Especially when I put out the trash maybe once a week, and sometimes even then I walk out of my apartment the next day and its still sitting in my doorway.Ive been trying to take advantage of the valet trash. Its been a gigantic disappointment. My trash will get taken out MAYBE 2/5 days a week that theyre supposed to take it.Also, they still NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONES.
I lived at South Willow for 11 months and had to break my lease due to a job relocation. First off, their one bedroom is INSANELY small. I got the 550 sq feet due to pricing and was very, very cramped. I was told after I signed the paperwork that they had changed management and now tenants had to pay for their own water, parking space, and even light above the parking the carport. While I didnt have any break-ins (Thank God!), I had NO air conditioning for well over three months, in 100+ temperatures. My AC kept freezing over and while maintenance came and looked once, they didnt do anything about it. My boy friend and I ended up heating up towels and putting it on top the AC and ice chunks broke off like crazy. There were a lot of stray cats that wandered around. That was cool with me, because I love cats. The pool is definitely a high point. When I moved out, they made me pay nearly $2000 to replace carpeting and paint.I tried to fight it, but they threw out the well contact our lawyers and I just decided to pay them off, as oppose to bring out more drama. They wouldnt accept that I had a new job out of state as a good enough reason to break a lease. All in all, Id say do your research before moving here. There are unexpected costs and apparently, recent break ins. Good luck....
I have been living here for over a month now, even though there were a lot of negative reviews. It seemed most of them are written by people who cant actually communicate like adults.I went into the office the other day because my rent seemed off on the portal, and without even questioning, they double-checked it and fixed it right away. Anytime I have had a problem, they have fixed it in less than 24 hours. There is a bit of construction around, but they are improving the community a ton! They are building more grills, a dog park, a new basketball and soccer court and cement ping pong tables out in the yard and people seem to think that takes a few days, not a few months. The swimming pool is done and it is really nice to relax by and swim in. They also have a nice grill in that area and a hot tub.All in all, I have loved my experience here a lot! They even sent this cute letter to me just to make sure I am enjoying my stay.
Me and my boyfriend have only been living here for a little over a month but we got a one bedroom and its actually a fairly large master bedroom and the living room and kitchen are perfect for 2 people. We got brand new carpet and appliances and the wood flooring and cabinets are also new. The walls are in almost perfect condition and have had absolutely NO signs of mold. My only concerns are the security of the home I wish there was more than just a deadbolt to lock your home and we have not had any problems with neighbors being loud or the police. Most of the people Ive seen living here everyone keeps to themselves never seen anything suspicious and my car and boyfriends car have been untouched. Ive had two bad run ins with the management but thats it. As far as they actual apartment itself it has been just fine.
DONT RENT HEREAfter living here for 6 months Ive realized I made a horrible mistake. I have a husband a and a new born baby. The apartment, when I left, was clean and actually better than when we received it and they still didnt want to give me my deposit back. We requested a few clean ups during my stay here, because the apartment was given to me with mold and the maintenance guy didnt show up till a week later after we called, oh and he used my cleaning supplies to clean the mess!!! Theres dog poop everywhere also. If I could give this place a no star I would.
My husband and I lived here for a year. There were various problems moving in, to our newly renovated apartment. Everything was done half-way. Examples: the floorboards were not on correctly, all the light fixtures were off center, there was water in one of the light fixtures, the piping on the tub was still exposed (they had forgot to place the spout and it was just a pipe). The cabinets on the inside were rough and gnarly, and the refrigerator DID NOT FIT. Every time it opened, the corner smashed into the wall, causing dry wall damage.Although the location is a convenience, our cars got broken into multiple times - one time resulting in the ignition of my car being busted. Although legally they have no liability over that, I would have liked to see more security measurements put in place.Overall the apartments were dark and damp. Ours barely received sunlight, and we had a mold problem. Although over all this place wasnt filthy, it wasnt the cleanest complex ever either. We did go swimming on a Sunday and a dead rat was found on the bottom of the pool. They are NEVER there to answer the phone during business hours, and none of their voicemail are functioning (the operator says it doesnt exist). In reality, the only redeeming factors about this place is its location, and how close it is to everything. If you are without a vehicle, most everything is in walking distance and there are two bus-stops. We never had any problem with neighbors, or any of the animals in the complex. In reality, this place is too much money. We stayed in a 618 sq. ft. apartment, and our bill came to about $900 every month (after the rent, mandatory parking fee, and the trash). After utilities, we spent about $1,000 total a month, give or take. I realize that is not the end of the world for payment, but I felt it was a little high for the space.
Dont come and rent if I could I would give it no stars at all. They just jacked up the prices, they wont negotiate with you. The new management doesnt take care of the people. I have never been late making payments, Ive asked that my appliances arent working and they say its fixed but its still the same. I would recommend somewhere else but not here I had to forcefully resign my contract because their is nowhere closer to work. Thanks but no thanks south willow and your new management.
The management & maintenance here are absolutely horrible. My husband and I have been waiting for two-and-a-half weeks to get our bathroom fixed. The repairman says he will come at one specific time. However, he either never comes or comes hours later and only works for 20 minutes at a time. This place is also really dirty, there is dog poop everywhere outside and our hot tub was closed down by the health department for about a month. We also had a hard time with our landury card, we put money on it and the next time we tried to use it, the money was gone. We tried to call and get our money back but the Customer Service wouldnt help us. This is a horrible place to live. I do not recommend this place.
What really is the worst is the management and staff. They are unhappy and uncaring people. They get so aggressive, even when I would call them about the littlest things. The apartment is just okay and the facilities are average. Since the rent is cheaper, you get a lot of lower income people obviously, and that results in garbage, shopping carts and people not picking up after their dogs. Weve seen the cops here at least 4 times in the 6 months weve lived here (and Im not even home that much). If you have 100 bucks that you can squeeze into your budget for rent, do it and go somewhere else. Im pretty sure the only positive reviews are the actual employees trying to save their rating. You may be attracted because of the price but please invest in yourself and quality of life and dont live here.
SAVE YOURSELF THE DISAPPOINTMENT DON’T MOVE HERE!!!!!The first day I moved in my car got towed for unpacking in the red zone because I can’t park in my parking stall and get my stuff out it’s too small but it is ok for the floor installers to park there all day also I went the first week without hot water and was told the water heater was just turned off but in reality the whole thing needed to be replaced and was supposed to be replaced before I moved in the lost my drivers license and still haven’t contacted me to replace it. my bike was also stolen off of my patio and my keycard for laundry was not turned on when I moved in so I had to spend more money at a laundry mat the worst part of it all is that all this has happened and I haven’t even lived here a month. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
Nice amentities. We enjoy playing b-ball and racket ball indoors. Chill staff.
Ive lived here about 6 months. have had no problems and even though its a studio its quite. Dont be a horrible person and youll do fine here.
Worst office staff and customer service Ive ever dealt with in my entire life. Called for two straight hours before closing time and no one ever picked up the phone. Pathetic and extremely unprofessional staff.
Honestly, I don’t know what we were thinking when we decided to move here. The apartment is super small for the price. Also, the water heater is so small that after 10 mins you don’t have hot water available when showering. There’s this $20 mandatory valet trash fee which is a total rip off because we live right by the dumpster and sometimes our trash won’t even get picked up so we have to end up doing it ourselves. Our apartment always has this weird smell because it gets so humid. Also, we have two windows so we get minimal lighting.Parking kind of sucks because of the way the apartments are set up.Also, only their studios and 2 bedroom have washer and dryers. It’s not a bad place to live in and they’re cute even though the renovations are cheap looking but you can definitely find something bigger and around the same price.
Great location. Great amenities. Great office staff. Good landscape and maintenance. Affordable. I know this complex has a shady past of bad management and poor tenants but it has really improved over the last couple of years, and if things continue the way they have been, this apartment complex will continue to improve as it has. Many of the rough and tumbler tenants have been purged, the management is friendly, hospitable and professional, and the grounds have been flipped to feel warm and engaging with bbq’s, fire pits and flat screen TVs. My only complaint is the amount of dog sh*t you will find. Mind you this is not completely at fault of the complex or it’s staff but an unfortunate lack of integrity of certain tenants. Luckily, things will continue to improve here and those that have managed to skirt their doggy doodoo duties will have some interesting conversations to contend with in the coming months. Thank you SouthWillow Apartments (Embarc) for a awesome experience.
Very great management, nice amenities and beautiful designed apartments. Friendly, nice neighborhood.good price.
Management is rude and doesnt keep their word. They had a referral program that said if you referred someone to live in the apartment they would give you $200 of your rent. I did this did the proper paperwork, and was told that I would get the $200 off the next 2 months. I waited for it to come off my rent it never happened so a couple months later I went in and asked about it and they told me it was denied because when my friends came to look at the apartment they didnt say my name or apt # on their first visit even though when they said I referred them when they signed the lease. They told me that they put a notice on my door to let me know that we didnt qualify for the referral program... Yeah never got that either. They are not an honest company. Wouldnt recommend them.
I went and visited my sisters apartment last week and was furious as to how disgusting these apartments are. She and her husband are both clean and dont smoke, yet their apartment has an incredibly potent stench of smoke from the guy upstairs. They have reported it and received no help. They threatened to evict her over 1 penny that they miscalculated and after calling her a B$&%@ and a couple days of my sisters persistance, they waved it. I considered paying off her lease just to get her out of there. The entire time we were talking, the dog next door was barking. On the way out the same dog made a go at my fiance and I. On top of all this their apartment is microscopic and over priced. Before working in the finance industry I spent over 2 years knocking doors due to my job in sales. I have been in a lot of apartments and this is the worst apartment complex that I have ever visited. DO NOT MOVE HERE! There are a ton of other complexes that will provide a clean, safe, and healthy atmosphere at a much better price{per square foot).
Our experience was less than desirable:**The office staff was unfriendly, never greeting me when I walked in the office and the majority of the time, they acted like it was an inconvenience to help me.**The apartments themselves are small and dated. Updates have been done, but from what I could see, they are few and far between.**The landscaping is spotty. Good in some areas and but horrible in others. If your apartment is near the pool, expect to have a muddy pond outside your door throughout the summer as they water excessively.**At the time, it was a convenient location to live, but my car had its windows bashed in twice in the five months I lived there. Nothing ever stolen, just broken windows.** There isnt a lot of general parking. Depending on where you live in the community, if you have more than one car, you could be walking quite a ways to your apartment.**Out of order washers and dryers were never labeled as such. When your paying per load, this can get annoying if the dryer doesnt get hot or washer never fills up.**I never had any idea when maintenance would be coming to fix things or if they had been there. They dont give you any timeframe or call before or to follow up.** Windows are old and drafty.** In my five months of living there, the pool/hot tub was closed twice by the health dept.On the plus side, people for the most part picked up after their dogs.
Filled out an application and found somewhere else to live waiting to hear from the leasing office, was told I would be receiving a refund and I have waited a month so far and still no refund! Terrible service.UPDATE - spoke with the apartment complex today and was told I would not be receiving a refund because they were too slow to communicate with potential residents. Stay far, far away from this place at all costs! I think I have been robbed, I will be contacting my lawyer to discuss this matter.
I just got off the phone with a collections agency for a bill that I paid in January its now July almost August. Instead of sending the bill to the address that I gave them for when I moved they kept sending the bill to the apartment that I was in while living there.
Ive lived here since October and am very pleased with the complex as a whole. I have had a few minor things go wrong with my apartment, and the maintenance guys were here within the day, if not the next day, every single time. I really love the maintenance guys. They are friendly, hard working, trustworthy, professional and timely. I trust them to enter my apartment when I am not home and know that everything will be right where I left it.The staff in the office is wonderful, and I see them about once every week or two. Cassie is so sweet, and she always helps me with whatever I need. I feel like she genuinely wants to know me as a person and is always asking how school is and how life is. All of the people in the office are wonderful and so very welcoming, but she is the one I talk to most often. The property is VERY nicely maintained, aside from the occasional irresponsible dog owners who dont pick up after themselves, but the office is definitely cracking down on them and I really appreciate it. You will see people picking up trash around the property quite often and landscapers who make sure the bushes are trimmed do a great job as well. The property has a bunch of huge trees which makes for a beautiful sight on snowy days and will provide a shady spot to read in the summer! Also, they are great about plowing the parking areas and roads when the snow falls so I really appreciate that. This place is very pet friendly which I love. There are dogs always out for walks and they have a cute little dog area where they can be taken off leash. I havent had a chance to use the pool yet but it too is beautiful. There are fire pits located around the property, an indoor and outdoor basketball hoop, one which doubles as a full court soccer field, and a quaint little gym.The location is prime with a grocery store literally less than a block away and a target across the street. Were a half mile from the freeway and 15 mins from downtown SLC.I am happy with this place and all of the staff members. I dont have any complaints at this time, and would encourage you to check this apartment complex out if you are on the market for a place to live.
