I got the best pedicure I have ever had here. Very thorough and detailed. Was very relaxing. Plus great work with the polish! Highly recommend this place!

Nina is so kind and patient. I loved my nails and my eyebrow waxing.

I am not a picky person but I would avoid this place if possible. They were very rough with filing, I have several areas where the tech filed my skin off even with me pulling away and telling her she was on my skin. My nails actually hurt the day after which I haven’t experienced before. During my pedicure the tech kept missing my heel with the scrub pad and hitting my calf, I have scratches from that as well. My daughter also had a mani/pedi and the lady rushed through her services skipping many steps. Overall we are very disappointed and won’t return.

I hate trying new nail salons. I would consider myself picky, but in reality I just know what I want and am willing to pay for QUALITY. I decided to go with this place because it was close to the mall as well as I am new to the area. The customer service wasnt terrible. But the room was silent. No back ground music, no TV noise, nothing. Silence. I think it is also extremely rude when the nail technicians answer non related work phone calls while doing your nails. To an extent, I get it. Just not really professional. I walked in saying I wanted dip on my REAL nails... she then proceeds to put tips on every single one. I said screw it, but it is very frustrating when you know what you want-- but they try to suggest other things or tell you to do something different. I asked Nina to make my nails a little more even because a few of them were so uneven on the top. She filed them a little, but they are still very uneven. All in all-- do not go here if youre looking for QUALITY nails.

The lady was very caring and did a very nice job and was very polite I had great conversations with her and the nails were perfect!! Definitely recommend

Beautiful nails but 4 of them broke within the first 10 days. I’m so angry I spent my time and money paying for nice dipped nails and they all broke. Never going back

First time going to this salon. Exceptional service. She had conversations with my friends and I and I enjoyed talking to her. Nails look amazing and she was gentle with my nails. Definitely recommend this salon if you’re looking for good quality and a friendly atmosphere.

Amazing customer service! Nina stayed extra late to do my nails and made sure she did her best work. She corrected some errors another salon made on my nails and did a wonderful job. Highly recommend!

Well...i came here for a gel change, the woman who did my toes and nails was real rough and really shaved my nails down too much, even when i was pulling away she kept going at my nails. she also got my skin bc when my hands and feet went under the light i got a burning sensation.i also asked for holographic powder on top of my hot pink but they did not know how to apply it, i tried helping them out.after the second attempt i just politely asked them to stop and charge me.

Amazing staff and talk about pampering. Longest massage I have ever had and they are absolutely the best pedicure and manicure I have ever had. Price is perfect too.

I’m not usually one to write reviews but I love this place. The staff is very friendly and is more than willing to fix anything you don’t like. She didn’t charge us any extra money for a design and was very efficient and thorough with her work. I will definitely be back

My nails are not straight, as I corrected her many times. She cut my on 4 fingers. They are also all different lengths.

Treated is very poorly. Kept changing what we wanted without our permission. Charged us extra for stuff we didn’t even get. It took over 3 hours to get my nails done when it should only take about an hour. My acrylics are crooked and I wish it was a lot better. I am very sorry but I do not like this.

I got my toes and nails done. The colors dont match like k asked., 7 out of my 10 fingers are cut open and now scabbed. The lady started putting the dip on my nails and never trimmed them at all. Costed $100 and the lady who did my nails didnt put lotion on my hands or massage my hands or arms or anything. Pedicure wasnt bad but also wasnt completed. The only good experience at this place is they have nice massage chairs. I will not be going back to spend $100 again 😒

Highly recommend!! I have been going here for almost 4 years now, and Nina does a truly amazing job! All of the ladies are so wonderful and take the time to truly get to know everyone and what each customer likes. They always do an amazing job!

I moved to town recently and have struggled finding a good nail place. I tried sky nails just for a pedicure and they did a decent job so I went back three days later with a friend to get my nails done. My friend got her pedicure started after 20 minutes and I proceeded to wait an additional hour for them to start my nails. I was annoyed at this point and when the lady finally got to me I showed her a picture of how I wanted my nails, a simple black and white dip. She started, she drilled my actual finger multiple times, kept apologizing for hurting me but continued doing so to the point one of my fingers bled. My nails ended up taking her an hour and a half, they were completely uneven and looked awful. Perhaps the worst part was they told everyone to get cash out of the atm machine to pay since their credit card machine was down but it wasn’t, they just didn’t want to pay the tax/fees to use it. By the time I was done, my friend had to wait an hour and I asked the lady, who was the manager at this place, how much it would be and she said I won’t charge for the design (two black lines on my one white nail) but charged the whole price of the dip manicure. I would not recommend this place to anyone, they are that typical nail salon scamming everyone coming in and also hurting them. Find another place!!

Sky Nails and Spa is the place we tried this weekend. It was really bad. My cuticles are so beat up, they hurt. My daughters lady actually made hers bleed. They ran out of hot towels so were warming them in the microwave. Hot stones were lukewarm. Only three working, so daughter was waiting with her feet in cooling water for at least 30 minutes while another customer was finished up. They were very rough and messy. I paid. I tipped. But .... never again.

I’ve been here for my only two pedicures — and I love these ladies. They’re always super nice and courteous — and they take good care of your feet! 10/10 DO recommend.

My best friend and I stopped in today for pedicures. We had Rose and Aimee work on our feet. One of the most enjoyable and fun pedicures I have ever had. We sang, literally sang, together while they made our feet and legs feel like heaven. We laughed a lot. This is my new place!!!

I am new to the West Des Moines area. I just recently started getting my nails done and Nina is AMAZING. She truly cares about my wants and needs. She gets the job done and Im always happy when I leave.

This is by far the worst nail place I have ever been to and that is saying a lot considering i’ve been getting my nails done consistently for over 8 years. This was my first time in at this nail salon—and it will most definitely be my last. I went in for a simple nail repair and color change, and what should have taken 30 to 45 minutes took well over 1 hour and 40 minutes—and there was no wait and no other customers at the time. From the very get go, everything seemed questionable and it was quite obvious the nail tech was inexperienced as she did not even know how to correctly repair my one broken nail. This was such an ordeal, I had to explain to the nail tech what needed to be done to fix it correctly by soaking it—this was all after she tried using clippers to cut down to where my nail was actually broken (half way down my nail bed) and half my fingertip was inside the clippers when she was going to cut!. I was so alarmed and told her there’s no way she can cut it that short— I seriously could not believe she even attempted it. Then she tried to use the electric file to sand it down and literally burned my nail bed. At this point, I was ready to walk out of this nail salon, and I should have.I chose the color black for my polish thinking that would be the easiest to go with—which took forever for her to find—they had every shade of light black available, but not just a simple black black?! She painted it on so thick, the polish was very lumpy and uneven and looked so bad that she had to file it all down and start ALL OVER again. She cut me once with her nail file and then cut me a second time in the same exact spot after I had already told her she cut me. I was bleeding quite a bit and super annoyed by this time. As if all that wasn’t bad enough, I went straight home and within 10 minutes, my nail polish bubbled up because she did not let them dry long enough in the machine (gel polish) and it then proceeded to peel off. I could not believe it. There was no way I was going back there to have her fix them, so I had to go to a different place to get it all corrected. What a waste....Truly, this is the worst nail salon I have ever been to and I have NO IDEA how they are even in business. If I can save someone some time, money and frustration, then I’ve done my job here because I NEVER leave reviews—DO NOT GO HERE. If I could leave negative stars, I would.

I have been going here since moving into the area about a year and a half ago and LOVE this place! The staff, the service, the environment, everything about this salon, all are the absolute best! Ive had full sets and schlac, waxing, as well as all the different pedis they offer and all have been amazing. Would recommend to any and everyone and have.

They did terrible, definitely I would rate this place negative stars...1- they cut my skin so much that it started bleeding ( keep in mind it was to all my fingers )2- I asked for a heart in the corner of my nail and she put it on the side of my nail3- she started yelling at my mom saying that it was her falt that she picked the wrong color4- when one of my fingers started bleeding she yells “ I didn’t see it, I didn’t see it. Your fine, ok?”5- another lady doing my friends nails kept burping6-she didn’t do my cuticles or trim my nails ( tbh my nails before she started were very uneven )7- it cost $123 for the junk they gave us8- please I am begging you to not go there your money will be wasted and your time will be wasted9- my nails are sooo lumpy

Sky Nails and Spa is overpriced. The service is mediocre. I had a shellac nail polish change and a toe nail polish change and the total was $48. 2 days later the toe polish completely smushed and started to come off.

Would strongly not recommend. I spent 52 dollars and a manicure and pedicure on Sunday and they’re already chipped off... and it’s tuesday. Will not be going back.

I cant speak for the other nail technicians as this was my first time coming here but I wont be coming back. My nail cuticals were butchered and bleeding when I left. The nail technician then tried to mop of the blood with a cotton ball which then stuck to the wound. The more i look at them the painting done wasnt even and dried that way looking like i dipped my nails into the bottle of polish where it then dried. This is my first and last time at Skys Nails.

I went here for a gel pedicure and the nails didnt look that good when I left, but I brushed it off and left. I’ve had them for one week and three of them have already chipped off. Not to mention it was 31.80 for the gel, stick with Rio Nail Bar in Ankeny or Andys South on the South Side.

Terrible experience. Made an appointment for 3 and got in right away but it took almost 3 hours to do one pedi and two manicures. They tried to set one of us aside when another appointment arrived. One technician talked (and tried to joke) so much she was careless and sloppy and her work showed it. Never again!! If I could give a minus stars I would.

I got shellac and they are already peeling on the sides after one week. The appointment for a basic pedicure and manicure took 2 hours. The prices are a bit high and they were busy so they cut corners.

Went in for a full set of nails(Coffin shape) and shellac paint. The shape is off and the nail polish is dirty. Over priced too for horrible plain service, almost $50. Not worth the visit
