I got my hair cut for the first time at Refinery a couple days ago and I loved it. I was one of the first bob hair cuts by Angela who recently got her own seat. She clearly paid a lot of attention and gave really good advice. It was a wonderful experience and I’d definitely get it cut there again!

I’ve been coming to The Refinery to get my hair done for years. Choosing a stylist to work with is serious business, you’re trusting them with your hair (and your gossip)! Every single stylist at this salon is phenomenal, as well as each barber. Becky specifically does my hair and I’m blown away every time I leave. Her work is flawless and to top it off, she’s a phenomenal person. I can say the same about each other person who works here. The ambiance is cool and laid back and the location in West Chester is perfect. I highly recommend this salon for any services you need in relation to hair, beard, styling, you name it.

I had an amazing experience here getting a curly cut for the first time. Allison was knowledgeable, kind, and very good at cutting curly hair. When I came in my curls were messy, frizzy, and had lost their luster but she was able to clean them up and make them shine again! She also taught me a lot about what types of products might help me and what techniques I can use at home to bring out the best in my curls. I feel so confident about my hair for the first time in a long while and I can’t thank Allison enough for that. The Refinery will be my go-to hair studio from now on!

TRHS is amazing!! Ive been going to them for over 5 years, and in that time, have had more compliments than I can count about my hair. With Buds talented haircuts, I went from frustrated, to people asking me how I do my hair. Its all about the cut - and every stylist at TRHS knows hair, and knows how to cut it to look the best, for you! I have had bad experiences in the past with Salons, and I went here 2 times and was very very happy with the end result. Its now my go-to salon, and it appears to have generally very talented stylists.

I went into the Refinery Hair Studio on 4-28-2021 at 1210 to make an appointment. TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!. There were 4 stylist working I was not greeted and they all ignored me for 5 minutes.The closest stylist was 5 away. They couldnt miss me because I was pushing baby stroller. I pushed it right back out the door and no one acknowledged my existence. I live a couple blocks away, the place hasnt been open long, i guess they wont live up to their puffed up reviews, regarding customer service and professionalism unless the owner is on the premises. I can only imagine how they would react if you complained about your haircut. I wish the shoe repair place was still there, he was a nice guy.

Have received botched haircuts from here and scheduling is inconvenient. Other establishments in West Chester offer better quality for better prices.

Love this place— Bexx is an absolute artist!! I had my first curly hair cut by this chic. Not only did she stay late to get the job done right, she walked me through the curly girl process to make sure I could be confident wearing my hair down consistently for the first time ever. Fantastic colorist as well!! Cannot say enough about this girl and the talent that flows out of The Refinery ^.^ !!

My son had an appointment here. Starting with the booking process which was easy and went quick(I booked online).When he arrived things went smoothly and considering the restrictions with covid-19 that was less to worry about. They met him at the door and took his temperature and gave him some hand sanitizer. His appointment with Jason went very well and he will be going back there. Thanks guys!

I just moved to the area and was looking for a good place for mens haircut. I was very impressed with the haircut I got by JASON! He is a great barber and his attention to detail is impressive. The salon is also very clean and the chairs are very spread out, so you are not close to other customers.

I am always happy coming to refinery. They fully understand my hair. I like the color prof products they have because men’s hair products do not work for me at all. All three hairstylists Christain and Jason really do a professional job on men’s haircuts.

Stylists had to cancel 1st appt, not accommodating for reschedule. Color too light, needed toner, again wouldnt a complete schedule, have to fly home and pay another stylist to fix this ...snippy

I walked into their new location and can I just say WOW...what a great space. I sat in Whitneys chair and although I thought I was just coming in for a just a shape up because I was in that growing my hair long phase, I decided last minute to chop it all off. There is no one else I would trust to do so than Whitney...she is my hair guru. Her cuts and colors are always fresh and spot on. I am always comfortable in her chair because I know I am in great hands with this stylist. I have pretty high standards and both she and the salon checks all my boxes. I drive an hour from Philly because once you find your person...you dont go anywhere else.

Went to The Refinery based on other reviews and being new to the area took a chance. Glad I did. Jason did an excellent job with the cut. I appreciated his level of detail and the studio has a great vibe!

Kat is the best stylist around. Ive been going to her for over 15 years. My hair has been all colors of the rainbow including normal shades. She will do EXACTLY what you ask for-no questions asked. She’s not one of those stylists that says yes to your request-but really colors your hair with what they think is best. My hair is one of the ways I express myself and Kat knows that. So she honors exactly what I ask for. She’s done my hair, ocean blue, platinum, jet black, and mint. She always makes sure to take care of it too-I’ve never had issues with color damage. She’s so awesome and talented I even had her do hair at my wedding-including my own.

I love this salon!! The place looks amazing and is super clean. Kelly is my stylist and she works absolute MAGIC with both cut and color!!! Traditional/edgy/in-between - she can do it all. Ive been to a lot of stylists/salons and Im hooked. Even my daughter has been to Kelly and I referred my husband to The Refinery as well (loved his cut). Cant say enough good things...

Kat is an absolute miracle worker, I would not trust anyone else with my hair. Im not sure how I still have hair with all the color changes I have put it through, but she always pulls it off what I ask for and makes it look amazing. I also have curly hair and you can definitely feel the curl love in this salon. I love that they are so focused on curl care and devacuts, it is so hard to find and I got some tips that have my curls looking amazing 😍 😍

I followed my stylist Christian when he moved to The Refinery. The Refinery has a great vibe and they are a super safe place to go during the pandemic.

Went in the other day to get quite a few inches off and Becky did the most amazing job!! She was super personable, on time, and the cut was perfect. It looks good no matter if I curl, straighten, or air dry! Love it here and I will be back.

Let me start by saying I would never judge a book by its cover but I was hesitant since Im ethnic and have textured very curly hair. One hair tech was so sweet I thought why not. It started out great but quickly turned into an awful frizzy, scraggly, finger straightened mess. We both agreed that it was a down right mess. I however know my hair too well so we worked together in wetting and hydrating my hair. I left with a hair cap on as she had used heat and finger raked my hair which pulled a lot of the curl pattern out. My stylist was so sweet but by no means was she able to deal with my texture hair.

Lindsey is a fantastic stylist, I had color/highlights and cut. Really hip and stylish, I get compliments all the time. Highly recommend this salon! Big thanks for giving me a new look for fall!

Checked with credit card company too. Very sad with it :( felt cheated still am! Well...i have raised a dispute. If you say you have refunded. It would get cleared soon right? If not then i was CHEATED. 😠I will share an update for people who are reading my reviews to understand REFINERY HAIR SALON services, policies and the transparency they keep with their customers.Dated 10.19 So the next appointment happened with lots of disappointments. Couldnt connect to their number as it keeps going to the voice message. So had to settle for a new artist. Alison did a really BAD job at my hair. I asked for toning, she coloured them dark brown. So all my beautiful highlights from previous time were gone and then she charged me a good 115 dollars for that service.it was a NIGHTMARE. I walked in next week Lindsay was good to hear me, help me with a correction said there would be a refund for the incorrect charges.Refund never happened. Dialed multiple times at the salon there is no call back! It goes to voice mail. So the money is gone with me having sour memories of the place.I am taking down my 5star review to 1.i dont recommend the place to anyone.Dated 07.19 Absolutely loved it! I got so many compliments for the hair colour from my colleagues and friends.Ivy did a wonderful job and she was lovely to talk to.Looking forward to my next appointment

Loved Dara!! She did all 7 ladies hair for my wedding, including the two moms. So easy to work with and made a schedule for us so we knew how to budget time (she finished ahead of schedule despite all the different styles and hair types). She even worked off site at our hotel on her day off! All we had to do was show her a picture and she nailed it, and she was fun to talk to. Thanks Dara!!

Best hair salon Ive ever been to in my life. I actually enjoy getting my hair cut now. Excellent service, Bud is the best! If I ever had to move I would probably travel just to get my hair done here. You cant replace small business with good vibes, with a corporate chain company that more than likely doesnt care about anything other than money.

Had an appointment on Sunday @12 with Whitney and she did the best job on my hair. I have been to many many salons and nobody could ever give me the color i wanted. She was amazing and so sweet!!! Def will be back in 8 weeks.

Heard good things, saw their balayage special for the holidays, took a chance. The place is dope, you can drink beer and listen to cool music. Came in with a vision of what I wanted for my color and balayage and Becky was not only able to create that vision, she gave me so much more. Super funny and easy to talk to. I have been getting so many compliments on my color, I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend.

Dara was a patient artisan with my hair. I am quite picky, and particular about my cut, yet she worked with me patiently, making the right decisions to make my hair look great!Ask for her, you will not be disappointed. They group works well together as Amy (just as nice) gave her opinions and insights into the right cut for me.Great teamwork!

These guys know exactly what they are doing. My hair was jacked up from going to less qualified barbers in town. Bud, the owner, noticed right away and went to work. His professionalism and skill produced a haircut Im constantly getting raise for. You wont be disappointed.

I had my first cut here months ago when searching for someone to fix a terrible cut I received elsewhere. Trisa did an amazing job with it, and I came back recently for a cut with Christian who did just as great a job. I love the cut he gave me and dont want to go anywhere else now. The place itself is very laid back and everyone seems so friendly and extremely competent. Cant say enough good things about them!

Very professional and courteous staff. This place is worth stopping by at least once for a haircut. They serve you complementary drinks while you wait and while you are getting your cut. Christian gave me my best haircut till date. These guys take their time and give you the best haircut possible. They are dedicated and very professional and very detailed oriented. Great place!

The atmosphere is great, everyone is friendly, and Pete is a true wizard. He sculpts my medium-length curly hair, does a perfect fade on the sides and back, all with a clipper in less than 10 minutes. And it miraculously looks better than a 45-minute scissor haircut from more expensive joints.

They canceled one hour prior. I called back twice and left a message trying to reschedule. Called the next day but nothing. Zero customer service. How do you cancel some one with very little notice and not try to reschedule them.
