Two gel fills with shellac, same guy both times. Rushed… burned or cut me each time. No attention to detail, sides missing polish, uneven coats, then cracked the next day. Went back for a fix, and the fix cracked the following day. Willing to give the ladies a try first before dumping this place as an option completely.

This place is horrible. i had a manicure and two of the gel nail things completely peeled off without me touching it or anything within the first two days of having them done. the acrylics were okay. but two of them popped off within a week.

Nails are nice. But the lady (Tammy) was rough with me, when I was leaving, she stated “you should call earlier” meanwhile, I DID call when they opened and they told me when to come and I did just that. Also, she walked in AFTER I got there. I didn’t understand the issue but I was very uncomfortable. I don’t want to bring race into this but I was the only AA there. I won’t be returning.

Such a horrible experience. Super overpriced & rude employees. Couldn’t even change my color because she said they decided to close early.

Not only were they able to get me right in, they were very friendly and offered me something to drink. They had a great selection of gel nail polish to choose from. The place was very clean and fresh looking. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning!

My nails were all different lengths and the edges were not even slightly smooth, only thing that was nice was they lasted about 3 weeks but they where kinda embarrassing to wear

My friend and I got two sets of acrylic nails. Her nails were not rounded out at all. Totally blunt with sharp edges. Meanwhile my fingers just look like someone stuck fake nails into the ends of hot dogs. Both of us had crooked nails, mine was so bad that it’s literally slanted. He saw it but didn’t decide to fix it. I didn’t notice till the end. My fingers are all swollen and raw because he sat there and filed down the sides so hard. I had to have them quick redo my crooked nails polish, and then remove access nail polish because it was ALL over my fingers. -10/10 don’t recommend them.

Asked for gel nail extensions however, after doing some research on my own found out that in fact I have been getting a combination of acrylic & gel which explains why Ive had to return several times before Im even due for a fill due to broken nails! When I specifically asked for long length I ended up with short! 4 out of 10 were crooked & much thicker on one side! Cant seem to get quality service let alone quality nails!

These people gotta use school glue or something! I got my nails done by a man they were but i had 2 days break in less than 3 days. I went back and got the first one fixed then the next day another one broke😒 WASTE OF MONEY fr $60

Love this salon, my daughters and I have been coming here for over 2 years and I cannot say enough about the owners. They are wonderful and so accommodating, always making us feel welcome and well taken care of. My daughters enjoy the special treatment they receive getting their nails and toes done, they always feel so special when they leave. They can always get us In With little or no wait time, they have every color and design possible and love to try new designs if requested. Love this place! Whether I call or walk in they always accommodate me. They are always friendly and have many regulars I see everytime Im in there. I sometimes bring my child in with me and they always make her feel welcome and at times they have their son in there which is great because they keep each other occupied. Such a family friendly environment. Plus I always get compliments on my nails.

Tried 2 other nail salons in Waukesha that lacked in both service & quality.Fortunately, the 3rd time is a charm! I am so happy I found Solar Nails! Tom repaired my botched nails and didnt overcharge me. They are very friendly, they do an awesome job, and the price is right! I am now a regular customer.

I don’t ever write reviews!!!I went in to get a full set. I showed the OWNER TOM what I wanted he said no problem. He cuts me twice as he’s drilling my nails. I mentioned they are a bit to thick for me he said he would fix them. Never did. When it came down to my design he told me he couldn’t do it. Left my nails bubbly and thick. Then tries to fix them files my nail on both sides to the point where he rips it raw. His wife took over and took her time trying to fix them but they still look horrible. I appreciate her tho but I’ll never go back.

They are always eager to accommodate walk ins and do a stellar job.

My gellish nails lasted less than a week. The man smelled like cigarettes during COVID.. customers were not forced to wear mask.

My go to place for manicures and pedicures. Tammy and Tom are amazing and take grear care of all their clients and treat them like family. Highly recommend

This nail salon is awesome! I’ve been to many others in the past and this is the one that I will continue to go to in the future. Every employee is super friendly and talented. The prices are great and their nail polish selection is wonderful! Seriously, this place is great.The lady who wrote a review earlier today was very rude to the employees. I was in the waiting room when she was there. Tom was very friendly and accommodating and tried to do anything to make her happy and there was just no pleasing her. I felt sorry for him because he had to be the victim of her horrible behavior. It is too bad that she felt the need to post a review right away and be so negative.I have been coming here every three weeks for about a year now and have never had anything but exceptional customer service and beautiful results!Thank you Soar Nails and don’t change a thing!!!

There is nothing you cant like about this place! Absolutely gorgeous for a nail salon, so classy and comfy!I have been there several times now and taken my friends and mom with me. We all love it here.They offer beverages for you to enjoy while you can get your nail treatments. Its refreshing to have that while you are getting pampered.I would vote it to be the best nail salon in the Waukesha and vicinity area (and trust me I have tried a lot of them).

This place is the best! Its in a convenient location, the prices are reasonable, theyre great at accommodating walk-ins, and most importantly, they do a great job!Ive now gotten 3 gel manicures with 3 different nail technicians, and each time Ive been impressed by their attention to detail and patience. In my experience, how long a gel manicure lasts and stays fresh-looking depends on how careful the nail technician is and thanks to the carefulness of the technicians at Solar Nails, my manicures from there always last!

Awesome work. I can walk in with no appointment and they get me in within 30 minutes. Even then everyone is friendly and makes the time go fast. Enjoying talking with the workers. They always fix a broken nail. Everyone please come here.

Came in to the salon last night with my sis for the dip powder nails and was welcomed by Lucy. She was super nice and did my full set and Tammy did my sisters dip manicure. Very nice environment and very friendly techs. Bringing our mom back tonight for a relaxing birthday pedi!

Great experience. We arrived with no appointment and they fitted us both in for a pedicure and a manicure even though they were super busy. Really happy with nails and feet! Manager is lovely and runs a tight ship!!

I went in for a pedicure & it was literally 10 mins long & she didn’t even paint my toes all the way. When she went to buffer my toes she asked the lady next to us doing my friends toes to use the same buffer. Gross. Never coming here again, spend your money down the street at love nail spa its worth the wait. Only reason I gave two stars over one was for the renovations.

Is awesome! I just showed her a picture of how I want my nails to be, she nailed it (no pun intended l). She took her time and did it very meticulously. It was my third time going to this nail salon, and I love it.All the ladies that works there are very friendly and professional.

Absolutely love coming here. I have been coming here for a little over a year and have had a variety of nail techs. I have not been disappointed yet. The shop is beautiful and very clean. Many nail color selections to chose from.

Tom & Tammy run a very nice salon. All the technicians are very talented. The salon is very well kept. It is clean and very comfortable to be in. They know me by name and I look forward to getting my nails done every other week.

Do not go here if you want a dip manicure. NOT good at all color uneven and splotchy. I asked the guy if he thought it was a quality product and he said yes and didn’t offer any solution to fix. Extremely disappointed because I had them done for mother’s day. I won’t be going back.

I cam here with a friend of mine for prom and we got a manicure. They cut many of fingers really bad and messed up my friends nails super bad too. They are AWFUL at dip nails. They did not explain prices and over charged me for something I did not even want. Nice staff but horrible quality nails.

Had a bad experience. All the bad reviews were right!! Rushed service (kind of pushy), my feet werent soaked long, I couldnt understand them at all (very poor English), they ignored you by talking amongst themselves, and my feet never got finished!! The lady had to get her crying toddler from the back room and then left the building -???(wt?) I never had anything like this happen to me ever!! So the other lady had to finish me after she was done with her customer. FYI - * Short staff-only 3 people working!!! I sat there for a long time until finally, I asked if my feet were done and then she shook her head ( I was assuming that meant yes). Also, the picture that is shown on here of the place does not look like that. Its clean and nice, but not that fancy. The only good feedback I can give would be that the lotion smelled good, my toes looked ok (I had better at other salons), and the chair massage was amazing. Other than that.... Very bad service. Walk-ins were getting turned away because of short staff. I made a big mistake of giving a tip. Never again.

I sais something and she didnt fix it. Worse yet.... they cut my toe when clipping the nails!..... I am not returning.(Below was my first go round here)Tried this place out for the 1st time today....I recommmed the Deluxe Pedi+Mani....nice massage chair...hot stone massage/scrub/mud mask/massage/paraffin wax treatment on my feet .....ALL was awesome and all for a very reasonable price. I will def b back and I really enjoyed it all.

My experience here was awful! i’ve been here before and they cut my skin multiple times. today i went in to get acrylics removed. they proceeded to RIP the fake ones off my natural nail. after getting them taken off, my fingers still hurt. therefore i do not recommend this place to anyone.

Got my nails done here today. The color is fine its just the acrylic part wasnt even filled all the way on sides of my nail. My real nail shows on sides.pretty upset about that

Tammy took her time and made them amazing! My not 5star rating is because of what she charged. I waited too long for my fill (Ive been working 60 hours a week and just didnt have time!) So I had 2 broken nails and 1 more she pulled off that would have fallen off, and I got all my nails filled at same time. The fill + gell polish is $25, but then she charged me $5ea for the 3 broken nails making my total more than if I would have just pulled them all off and gotten a new full set! I understand charging per nail if thats all I was doing was fixing a nail or 2 but I should have only had to pay maybe $1 or $2 for the new nail tip because I was already paying you to fill ALL my nails!

Probably the worst manicure Ive ever had. Less than one week and my gel is chipping. Gel isnt supposed to chip. The girl only applied one coat clear and one coat of white at the tips. Definitely used to multiple coats. Pretty dissapointed and will never go back.

Tom and Tammy are great! They are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! The salon is a stylish and relaxed atmosphere and everyone here is extremely pleasant.

Tom did a superior job on the manicure, followed by Lucy on the pedicure. The place was very clean, and the service was on a par with the best places Ive been anywhere. Whenever I visit Waukesha again, Ill be back.

They do not know how to paint nails, and after coming in for the SECOND time they were very rude about it. They cut us multiple times. DO NOT GO HERE you will regret going here we will never ever go here again!

Very rude, i had two different technicians. They cut two of my fingers, they rushed my services. I have 6 nails that dont have polish on the sides and they told me it was my skin. Some of my nails are shiny and parts are a matt. I dont understand how they can still be in business. Not acceptable!!! 😡

The staff at are very friendly. When you walk in, the store is clean and bright. After getting a pedi I noticed that they use a cleaner to actually scrub the foot bath. I get a gel mani and pedi every two weeks and it last the whole time. Sometimes I go every three weeks and the gel is still well put. I would recommend this place.😍😍😍😍😍

Not good AT ALL! Dont get a pedicure here unless you want your feet to bleed, your toenails painted poorly, acetone in the cuts that THEY MADE, or your pedicure to be rushed, unprofessional, and not fully done. Honestly, just save your money and dont go here. $30 is way to much money for the job that they did.The above was written by my 12 year old daughter. We had pedis at the same time. My experience was very average, not a spa but typical for this type of nail salon. I had no idea that my daughter had such a bad experience until she got in the car and broke down in tears. She said her tech really hurt her but she was afraid to say anything. Next time shell know to say something when/if it happens ... At a different salon though. She wont go back here.

Awful pedicure and shellac manicure!! My pedicure polish job was so bad that husband thought I had painted them myself (and thats bad!)!!! Shellac polish was painted on off the edges of most of my nails and peeling off easily 2 days later.It seemed as though I was an inconvenience as a customer and I felt as if they rushed through my services. What a waste of money and time!!!

This was THE worst experience Ive endured at a nail salon! I have never tried dip polish before today and I chose grey with a silver glitter accent nail, for some reason there was a pink hue mixed in and he just said I dont know why or what to do and was actually a bit argumentative... he then asked if I wanted gel over it and I said I guess I dont have a choice and asked what it was going to cost me, he said the same price and it will be fixed. I was extremely annoyed and he told me not to worry so much! Needless to say im dissatisfied and I wont be back!!

Poor job on pedicure. Woman had me wait for 5-10 minutes before doing the pedicure to tend to son. Also asked for nail dip; ended with gel to seal the polish which I did not want to use (whats the purpose of having nail dip if you HAVE to use the gel also). After using nail dip for a year, Ive never had to use the gel to seal the nail. Not even a week after and the gel is chipping. Poor service, poor performance.

Totally changed my mind about this place. Spoke with owner about getting my acrylics totally removed for awhile. Must have made him mad. He ground my nails so thin that all my natural nails have broken right at the tip of my finger. The nail left on my finger tips are so thin and sore I have wrapped them for fear of having them crack openLousy service, horrible horrible workThey arent getting any more of my money. I will caution everyone I know.

I stopped in yesterday to get a basic pedicure. The man working on my first foot was talking to the other people in the shop about me in their language and it became blatantly obvious that they were talking about me and they only stopped when I had to say something to them. They tried to play it off as a joke but it was very unprofessional. After he was finished with my foot he had someone else take care of the other one saying “they always switch half way through” which I know is a lie because I’ve been here before. (no major problems the first visit) When the lady was working on my other foot, I was pressured into a manicure. She started to carelessly cut away the skin around my finger nails RIPPING off a chunk of skin by my thumb and it would not stop bleeding. With my thumb STILL bleeding, she tried to paint my nails. I had to stop her telling her not to do that because of an OPEN WOUND she gave me. She then went to the back room to get me a bandaid. When I went to go pay, she tried to charge me FULL PRICE for a manicure when I didn’t get any nail polish and I was walking out with a bandaid on my thumb from a wound she gave me. When I told her I didn’t want to pay for that she tried nickel and diming me until I was fed up and gave her $5 for the manicure. I paid $50 for a pedicure and a bandaid. NEVER GO HERE. NOT WORTH IT!

The guy who helped me was so rough on my nails. For the price I paid, my nails look just mediocre. I brought my granddaughter with me and the workers kept going outside to smoke and all the smoke kept blowing into salon which is gross. Dont plan on going back here.

Horrible, Horrible. They trimmed my sisters nails as a triangle and were arguing with us. They even threatened to call the police if we do not pay. A customer should not have to pay if they are horrible, horrible. He was cussing at us and even talking about us to a customer very rudely. Horrible customer service! Never again!

Awful place to go. Went to get fake nails put on and they caused me to bleed while filing and the nails werent even. The dude went to fast and they looked bad. I went back a week later to get them off and he put huge dents in my nail bed which caused my new nail coming in to over lap the dents and he dug to deep in the my nail and caused a lot of pain and didnt apologize. I was way over charged for a shitty job. Worst place to go to get your nails done. Do NOT go here

The people were very rude well I was there the couple that were doing me and my family members nails were very rough and not care full at all my nails were not even and well I was at solar nails there was a girl about 11 or 12 who just wanted to get her nails done and she was picking out her color when another nail polish bottle fell and the lid came off and nail polish got all over her and a little on the floor what was not even get fault because the cap was not on correct the man started telling at her and her family and was extremely disrespect ful and said hurt full things to this found girl and did a very crappy job on her nails and took no time and told them he could not do what she wanted even tho what she wanted was very simple I will never go back
