I had met a gal in the McDonalds parking lot in Waukesha and commented on how beautiful her nails looked. She gave me a card with information on where she had them done. I called Star Nails and made an upcoming appointment. I was excited. She had me take a seat and asked what I’d like done. Our conversation was brief. I was getting gel nails put on. I should’ve asked what they would look like when done. My nail beds are small. The white part of the French nail was the same size as my nail bed. It didn’t look right to me. A few gal friends commented the same to me. I wanted the beds pinkish. They were beige. I went back and said that I felt funny about my nails. The gal became defensive instead of compassionate. I leering booked an appointment to have them painted with a color. From the start of my appt to nearly the finish, the gal said minimal things to me in a tone that I couldn’t look her in the eyes. Sit straight, relax, “nails in there” (pointing to the UV dryer). She only asked me “if I had plans for the day” when another customer arrived for an appt. I will NEVER go back there. She was good, but that’s not enough for me. I normally return because I feel comfortable and treated like a person. She lacked that to the point I decided to write a review. Steph

Easy to make an appointment and they accept Walk ins as well. Staff is friendly and efficient. Nina is really good too. Prices are reasonable.

Worst dip mani EVER! Ridiculously SLOPPY... Ive NEVER had 2 do so much cleanup after a mani! She slopped the top coat all down my finger, then barely tried 2 clean it when I told her about it. AND, cut my cuticles TWICE w/the electric file! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Horrible. The girl was absolutely terrible. She was rude and did my nails completely wrong. She ruined my nails. Never ever go here.

The ladies here are amazing! They always do a fabulous job, are friendly and accommodating! Prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommended.

I needed a late minute quick pedicure and the nail stylist did a nice job. The atmosphere was calm and the staff was friendly.

I went in on Christmas Eve as a last minute. I walked in and was greeted right away!Katherine, my tech, was soooo nice, even though there was a little language barrier. She very much tried to understand and as long as I spoke slower than my normal, she understood and we had a nice conversation. She took her time and did my nails perfectly. She even put little snowflakes with silver glitter on 2 of my nails. I got a manicure with Gel Color. They were done in about 25 minutes. Will definitely be back.

I love love love love this nail salon. They are always really nice and sweet and they do an amazing job on your nails. I got flowers painted my two of my nails and the attention to the tiny details is so awesome, the tech even painted on green leaves. It may not look like a fancy place but what it lacks in location is made up by the wonderful ladies that work there.

Went as a walk in and was treated right away. Full set acrylic nails with gel polish $40 plus tip. The nails really stand up to hard work and a lot of wear and tear. Very pleased and will definitely go back.

I went with my mother today. The atmosphere is tense. When I get my nails done I like to feel relaxed here, I felt awkward and unwelcome. The nail tech didn’t say much and when I tried to strike up a conversation she was very short with me. My nails look beautiful though. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

I’d give 0 stars if I could! I went today with my daughter, they are rude, do a crazy quick job on my nails and each nail is a different shape and length! Only went because they’re are the only one open with the pandemic! Gel polish is see through well some nails are! She seriously told my daughter that some of my nails are see through because no ones nail beds are the same color on each nail!?!?!? Huh???

My gel/shellac didnt last a week before chipping. Color used on toes seemed old and clumped weird after a few days in the pool. French tip polish was also a little crooked after closer inspection. Think they were distracted as a few people and calls came in for the one nail tech while I was there. Have had a better experience in the padt.

Great people, they were super nice, my mom was super relaxed, my nails were gorgeous, totally reccomend this place

There people are every nice and funny. They treated us very nicely even tho we just walked in. My nails also look so good and Im happy with my results.

I have been a loyal customer and star nails for over four years! I have my nails done at all times and have never had to go in earlier than I wanted to. I am always fully satisfied and am in and out. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Poor dip manicure which unfortunately didnt last 2 weeks, edges wore thin, paint chipped. Taking old dip off proved to be a tad painful and nails were shredded by the dremel/tip used. Had a nail crack painfully due to very thin coats. Service was pleasant enough, I just wouldnt pay for that type of quality again.

Absolutely amazing!!! Very fast but absolutely perfect been going 3 years now an would never go anywhere else.

This place is terribleDont waist your $. I asked if they accepted debt cards and was told yes but they tried to charge an extra 10% fee for cards without telling me. So i decided to write a check which took them over 2 weeks to cash.only after calling and complaining 3 time.They were very rude and unprofessional but my nails looked nice. Spend the extra $5 and go elsewhere unless you like being treated poorly

If youre looking for a pedicure where they actually massage your feet, come here. I was about to throw the towel in for finding a good spot that doesnt gloriously pet your feet and bam! I found this place. What deluxe pedicure really means is 3 massages with actual pressure. Working in retail after black friday a good pedicure was needed! Hats off!!

They used the same nail file for multiple clients. Service was rude. And one of my nails began to hurt.

I Went to this place a while back and they did a HORRIBLE Job they hurt my fingers and charged me way more than what i usually pay for a simple design then days later nails fell off taking chunks of my natural nail with when and told them and all they said was wait we are busy at the moment or come back in an hour when they only had 2 clients...... defenetly do not recommend this place

Go somewhere else. Got a manicure and pedicure and the person doing my nails totally rushed and it showed. She hurt just about every nail on my body. Now I have bad looking nails and a lot of pain. Disappointed and never going back.

I always loved this place but now some of the girls are getting careless and not doing a good job. I may recommend this place but BE careful who you go too. They said their gel manicures last 2-3 weeks and mine lasted JUST a week. Very disappointed. The lady I had last time who didnt do well was the second row of desks, the further one to the outside.Sad.

Been here before but the last two times they were rude. They yelled at me for looking st colors and trying a brush of them on my nail to see them. They also wouldnt let me look at the products in back, they kept stopping me. I also had to put the colors I chose on the table they said they didnt trust me holding them... I made an appointment and they made me wait 30 minutes after a walk in as well. Just not the same

This place is horrible! I went and got my nails done a full set and they were done within 15 minutes. My first nail came off the next day by turining the steering wheel and then I went to get it fixed and then the next day after work I took my hair out of a hair tye and just by doing that another one came off. They don’t take there time and they are rude.

Friendly, professional, CLEAN and they do a fantastic job. Ive been coming for years.

I have gone to Star Nails for many years, but recently I had a manicure done by the top tech who hurried thru and miss some steps. She no longer seems to enjoy what she is doing. Going to try a new salon.

Awful customer service! Super rude, wouldnt let my friend and I look at colors or hold the nail polish acting in a way that we were going to steal the polish! Didnt take time or put effort in
